Oh, stop. Don't hit your head. Don't head. Skip it down. Take >> him to the hospital. >> All right, then. Let's put the cigarette out. Let's get in the truck and let's go. >> Your phone is charging. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. >> Quit moving your [ __ ] hands. >> Chaos all around. But the moment officers stepped inside, everything fell silent. That silence said more than any yelling could. Officers knew then this was worse than it looked and they moved fast. >> Got it. Social media >> and I got to wake up at 6 to take him to work. >> This is when hero cops became unusually quiet inside an extremely chaotic home. Here is law zone where features real police body cam footage documenting how officers handle tense and unpredictable situations as they happen. The first incident is that child found living in home with 30 dead dogs. Couple arrested. >> Were these these all have dead animals in them? >> Truthfully, >> yes. We didn't we didn't open anything, but there were some in trash bags. And >> on February 20th, 2026, officers responded after a rescue organization reported suspicious activity at a South Jersey home involving missing foster dogs. >> And then that one How are you guys? >> Good. How are you? >> What? Who lives here? >> I do. >> You do? Okay. You know why I'm here? >> I do not actually. >> Okay. So, a gentleman came. He got those two dogs from you earlier. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Those dogs are not taken care of in any way. All right. >> Yeah. That's um that's Lynn. She's the >> owner of the rescue. So, how many other dogs do you have? >> Me? >> Yeah. Eight >> inside the house? Eight. >> Are they a part of the rescue? >> No. >> Okay. They're your dogs. >> Uh, majority of them are. Yes. Uh, there's one with another rescue and there's two with another one. >> Okay. So, obviously due to the fact that the two other dogs that I saw weren't cared for. All right. I'm going to ask you. >> The officer requests consent to inspect the dogs, explaining he can obtain a search warrant if necessary. Rebecca agrees to cooperate. She acknowledges some dogs are sick and admits at least one has died. >> If I can see the other dogs you have to make sure they're in good health. All right. If you refuse to do so, I'm going to get a search warrant and I'm going to take those dogs if that search warrant gets breed. I don't want to go that route. I don't think it's necessary, but obviously I have to do my dog my job. Make sure that those dogs inside are taken care of. Right. Are they taken care of? >> No. >> Yeah. And you shook. Well, I mean to be honest, I mean we we battled um >> oh my god, Lyn, what is the name of Parvo? >> We battled Parvo. Um and >> uh there's still a few that are, you know, they still have coxidia, so diarrhea and you know what I mean? Like there's >> um or will you allow me? Will you take me inside so I can see the dogs? >> I will happily bring them out to you. >> Okay. But I'm not going to have you go back in the house, right? So, it's it's either I I come in and see them or I go the search warrant route. You're not allowed back in your house until we find out whether I get that search warrant approved or not. Right. And I and I don't want to go that way. I don't think it's necessary. Um >> I don't understand. Like granted, like those dogs >> that the guy Andrew has, >> right, they were listed under Lynn's rescue. So, how does that >> They're in your care. Okay. So, the dogs in your care, you have other dogs in there that are under your care. All right. >> You You said if you saw the dogs, >> right? >> And they're and they're not in good health, I'd ask if you were willing to turn turn the dogs over to me. So, what would happen is I would contact our uh animal shelter I work with. I'm I'm the humane officer here, right? So, that's why I'm here talking to you. >> Okay. >> So, if they're not in good health, we'll have the shelter come. You'll turn them over. the shelter will take them and they'll get them back into good health. All right. >> So, so this is this is what what I want. >> This is what I'm asking like >> because I'm sorry. Like I'm not trying to be rude. >> You don't have to be Can you just >> Yeah. Do you mind? >> Um because of the whole like I I want to be honest with you. >> I've never I've never been in trouble. I've never been arrested. I don't want the rescue to go down. I don't want like to go to [ __ ] jail. >> So, >> there was I'm just saying with the whole Carbo thing like what happens like >> so the dogs had parvo. I know what parvo >> animal control is called to remove all live and deceased animals. Officers explain that cooperation avoids a forced search >> from the situation here. obviously with I got alerted to the situation in here. I'm a humane officer for our township. So, um your wife Rebecca um so I came here, I spoke with Rebecca. She's going to turn over the the dogs to us um today. We're waiting on the animal control officer with the van to get here. So, the dogs, the cats, all the animals are going to go, the live ones and the dead ones with the animal control officer. >> Who you doing? >> Who's he? >> Uh it's my father. >> So, is he cool to to hear everything? >> Yeah. or okay um I just I don't want to you know so obviously animal control is coming for all the animals inside of live and dead right um she's working with us so there's two there's two different ways this could have went it's either you guys work with me I get the consent and it's nice and smooth and we deal with it >> or no one's allowed in the house I get a search warrant we go that way obviously no one wants to go that way it's not necessary right the animal control officer is going to come to take the dogs. She's going to transport them to the different animal hospitals cuz Matt Laurel is only capable of of handling four >> and whatever. So, she's going to figure that out. Then, once she takes all those dogs to the animal hospital, she'll come back and take the deceased ones. >> Okay. The ones that are in the the two cages here. >> Inside the home, officers discover numerous deceased dogs in cages, trash bags, totes, and containers. Rebecca confirms multiple puppies died from Parvo. Are there any dead animals in the fridge? >> Huh? >> Are there any dead animals in the fridge? >> Oh, no. No. You can open that. By all means. >> No. No freezer. No. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Open. There's nothing in there. >> And then these guys here. I think that that one's dead. Almost dead. one. >> Yeah, I think I think he's almost almost gone. And then there's these guys right here, too. >> Here you go. Follow him. What are these? These are all dead. >> That was litter box. This is a cage. He's He passed. That is >> That one's deceased. >> That's what I told you. There's one that was deceased in that one >> bag >> from That one was from uh Yeah. Parvo. And this one. Yes. Then him I wasn't able to get out of the cage. And that tote. Yes. >> Okay. And the one these these ones behind you. >> Yeah. >> I don't know if you got these, >> Dylan. >> And then that one. >> Were these all have dead animals in them? >> Um, truthfully, yeah. A lot of these were the puppies that perished from the beginning stages of par. Officers describe extreme unsanitary conditions, cages filled with feces and urine flies, maggots, and multiple dogs in various stages of decomposition. They estimate roughly 30 dead dogs and about 10 live dogs inside. >> Okay. These are all >> Yeah. >> And in here, too. >> No, no, no. That's trash. >> Okay. >> That's basic trash. >> That's closed. You can look in it. That's their clothes. >> Okay. on that. >> They're all different types. There's like a German Shepherd, there's a dead German Shepherd, there's like pit bull mixes and it's they're all different small York >> kennels. They're all in cages, but the cages are filled with feces and urine and flies and maggots. And there's multiple dead dogs in cages that are decomposed. And there's there's maggots on the floor. >> You open that door. >> That was the the worst house I have been in so far, including all the dead body ones. It gets that bad in there. How many um live dogs would you say? Two in the first kitchen. Two in the floor. Two more. Six. One upstairs. Seven. Minimum. Seven. But I can. >> What's that? >> At least seven that I can think. >> Yeah. Yeah. Well, I think >> probably more than that. That's probably 10. 10's the end. Yeah. Yeah. So, there's about 10. We want to say 10 live dogs. And when I tell you it's pro, it's probably what 30 30 dead dogs, maybe even. Maybe even. >> Officers locate a 9-year-old child living in the home, escalating the situation to a child welfare concern. >> Rebecca, you're not going to like this. I'm going to be straight forward with you. After minor pulled the dogs out, prosecutor told us to place you under arrest. All right, let's walk. >> Prosecutors instruct officers to place Rebecca under arrest. She is taken into custody away from her child to minimize distress. >> Look over there. >> All right. >> Where your son can't see? >> Yeah, please. >> In case he's looking out a window. >> Uh, he shouldn't be, but >> we'll go. Uh, >> he should be inside. Stand right here for right now. >> Just face the car. Yeah. >> Then actually grab your phone for me now so I don't have to. >> Can I power it off? >> Yeah. Yeah. Whatever you want to do and >> it'll come with us. >> Yeah. All right. >> Yeah. I'm going to I'm going to cry like a baby. So there I can have paper towels or something to wipe my face after. >> Yeah. Once we get back. Yeah. >> Okay. >> It's not as It's not as scary as you think it is. >> Well, no. I've never I've never been in trouble. I just Okay. >> It's not as scary as you think it is. >> She's good. So, she'll search and all that. Step back for me. >> I'm going to make this tiger. All right. >> Yeah. Yeah. my should. That's my [ __ ] up shoulder. So, it's kind of hard to >> That way doesn't matter. >> It's fine. They're they're >> just this way. >> Brandon, 32, is also informed he will be charged due to living in the residence with the deceased animals. >> Um cuz they do want me to place you under arrest as well for charges. Yeah. For what? For animal cruelty towards the animals. Now, again, just because you're getting charged with it doesn't mean you're guilty. But at this moment, you you are going to be placed under arrest, taken back to the station, interview, processed, and then from there, either released or not released. All right. But you can smoke your cigarette, finish that, and then >> how does it uh that's what I don't understand. How does this what is my tie to this? I wasn't with the rescue. I know. >> Well, the fact you're living in a house with 30 dead dogs. >> I I don't know. >> That's what I like. And again, right, I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything. No, I >> You're correct. You're not with it. But that's something that you have to express in court. Not with me. I I don't have a choice in the matter. >> Uh but either way, it's happened. So So >> Okay. Just let me see if he's home yet, cuz that's why we're still here. I was just waiting for him to get home. Just let me make >> Can he watch him till he gets home? >> I I just want to make the situation and then just call my father real quick and just let him know everything. Well, you can't call him unless he's getting your side. We'll let you call dad back at the station. But >> Carlos, can you have Shane come outside? Keby's going to come pick him up, please. >> He can take it with him. Keby's coming right now to pick him up. >> Can you have him come out? Keby's coming right now to get him. >> Thank you. >> Thanks for everything, Carlos. >> 139's coming. >> Yep. We'll walk you over to the car over this way. >> We're going to wait. Someone else is going to transport you. I'm just going to pull you out of the eyesight of uh of your buddy there and then we'll go from there. Anything on you that's going to put stick me anything like that? >> Uh no. I have a lollipop in my back. >> Yeah. No, just like like no needles, knives. I know you work with tile and stuff. You're good. All right. We don't have any. >> All right. Have a seat in here. >> Watch your head. Rebecca, 35, and Brandon, 32, were charged with animal cruelty and endangering the welfare of a child. Remember, severe animal neglect, especially involving large numbers of deceased animals, can lead to felony animal cruelty charges. When a child is found living in hazardous and unsanitary conditions, additional charges such as child endangerment are likely even if the child appears physically unharmed. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. I can't believe a child was living in those conditions. That many dead animals shows this wasn't a one-time accident. Animal rescue work requires oversight. This clearly spiraled out of control. Think this situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. The next incident is when 5-year-old flees home after mom's horrifying attack. >> Oh yeah, I want to go to prison. These guys are the devils. They are the >> On May 3rd, 2025, officers detain a visibly distressed and erratic woman later identified as 35-year-old Patrice Shirley Marie Garcia. She makes religious and delusional statements, resists officers, and repeatedly asks for a gun while making threats. God is social media. I forget you. >> Okay. >> I love you. >> One second. >> Come back for me. Hey, W. >> All right. Send her up. >> Can I get her to that car? Okay. >> All right. >> You get her left arm, I get her right arm. >> No. >> You know what? >> Stop. Stop. >> You know what? Just stay here. >> No, [ __ ] >> Stop. >> I'm not. >> Stop. >> I'm not. I won't. Get on the leg. Get on her left side. >> Brian, my only begotten son. >> Just watch your knee and I don't want her on the back. But you're on her arm, right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Be on her arm. >> Hey, what? >> Thanks for coming, guys. >> Please forgive me. My only begotten son. >> Hey, what kind of drugs have you taken? >> What kind of What kind of drugs have you taken? >> I love >> What kind of drugs have you taken? >> God, I love you. >> God, I love you. neighbors. >> God, I love you. >> Awax is gone. >> That car right there is gone. Forgive me for I'm sitting against my >> wire though. >> Oh [ __ ] >> God forgive me for I have sinned against my only begotten son. >> Yeah, it's frayed. >> Actually should be fine. Let's see if it works. >> Oh yeah, we're fine. We're fine. >> Oh, stop. Don't hit your >> Don't hit your head. Don't hit your head. >> Yeah, just keep it down. >> Keep it down. No, >> you're okay. You're going >> get off me. >> You're okay. Just take >> get off me. Devil, get off me. Devil, get the [ __ ] off me. These guys are the devils. They are the devils. Social media east side gang rap and social media is the devil. Social media is the devil. Help. Pull up and come get me. Okay. >> I'm I'm going. Oh yeah. >> Yeah. Get the [ __ ] off me, >> you piece of >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Here. Can I have your gun? Can I have your gun, please? >> Hey, give me your gun, man. >> She doesn't have any regrets. I thought she might start. She hasn't done yet. >> I want Can I have your gun? I don't want to do that. >> I don't want to do that. >> No, I don't want to do that. >> I don't want to do that, >> you guys. And it's the devil. It's the devil. It's the devil. It's the devil. It's the devil. It's the devil. He's trying to kill me. >> Hey, >> relax. >> I'm going to get all the info and do the report. >> Okay. I don't think you got to use force at all. It was just me >> holding her down. >> I mean, we'll ask somebody, but I You didn't do anything. That was mainly me doing it. >> I [ __ ] my only begotten son. >> [ __ ] my only. >> She went down. Came right back up. >> My only begotten son. >> Um, yes. See if we can start. Can we start trying to move her? >> Are you good if we send Maddie with the >> We're going to start moving her. >> Officers explain the situation. The child reportedly said his mother hurt him. Detectives are requested due to the severity of the allegations. >> Okay. So, basically, I don't know. What info do you have so far? >> So, so far I don't have anything because alls I saw was him struggling with it on the ground. So, I came running up to help him, but that's what I was going to do is I was going to collect some info from the neighbors and see if they saw this. >> It ended up I'm assuming down there. >> Yeah. I'm going to go talk to them. And >> so, uh, so basically what we have is these these guys here. Uh-huh. >> She lives suspect lives here with her son >> and grandma. >> Okay. >> Um, >> so grandma's still >> grandma's not there. >> Oh, she's not there. >> Grandma's at a party. >> Okay. >> Um, and so no one else should be in the home. >> Um, little comes up, knocks on their door, there's blood on their door. >> Okay. >> So, we're going to get pictures of that. >> I'll I'll grab pictures of that. So, don't worry about that. >> They're working on witness statements right now. >> Okay. Um, son comes up and says, "My mom hit me in the head with a statue in the house and then tried to drag me." >> Oh my gosh. Okay. >> So, >> um, so we're going to have detectives. We're going to need to search more. >> The house. >> Mom comes out, chases kid, goes into their house, >> goes downstairs, >> uh, goes after their granddaughter. So you have Berg Berg and Lou disinvoling a child when she tries to assault them by punching them. >> Um and then um their son gets her in a headlock out here and it sounds like you guys arrive pretty shortly after. >> Yeah, that's >> sounds seven-year-olds go into primaries uh with severe can basically guarantee right now that at the bare minimum you're going to haveated child abuse. >> Child abuse. Sounds good, man. So, I'll go start working on that and then I'll contact UCFS for you >> and I'll try to get I'll try to get uh >> kiddos info. >> All right. I appreciate you, man. >> So, could you kind of give me a rundown of what happened? >> Okay. I was sitting at the window at the couch. >> Okay. >> And all of a sudden, the doorbell rang. I seen the >> A neighbor reports the child rang the doorbell and the mother shouted. >> Little boy come walking around, but I didn't see any blood or anything. and he come walking around and he rang the doorbell and I got up and I come down to answer the door. By the time I got down there, he was gone. >> Okay. >> But there's blood on the door on the step and he went running down that way. >> Okay. >> And then I walked down that way and to see what was going on. And then the lady come walking around. She says, "Call the cops. Call the cops." >> I tried killing my son. >> That's what she said. >> That's what she said. >> Okay. So she said >> I'm going to quote that. Call the cops. I tried killing my son. >> Right. >> Okay. Um All right. And then what else happened? >> And then uh I called I told him that he come out and I says, "Call the call 911 that she tried killing her son." >> Uhhuh. >> So he did and then we talked to the the dispatch and they got all you guys coming here. And >> the little boy, he was scared. He wants his grandma, >> right? >> And everything, but his grandma's not home. And that's why I need to go know if I can get a card with the name on it and that so I can call have her call you guys. >> And I was told by another officer she went into your home. >> Yes. She went in. >> So what happened with that? Okay. So >> we're standing down there with the little boy. >> Okay. >> And the door is open like it is now >> and we have a poor girl downstairs. >> The mother allegedly entered a neighbor's home uninvited and charged at residence. A neighbor intervened physically to restrain her until police arrived >> there. >> Okay. So, that's a charge loot in front of a child. >> Yeah. And and I seen her and she was running this way. >> We got mosquito. >> Yeah. So many mosquitoes. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I think we're in the wrong spot. But then she went in the house and he went in there after her >> and she shut the door and she charged at him. >> Okay. So, and then after that, what happened? She tried to. >> Yeah. She tried to attack me and my neighbors come running across the street and we tackled her and you know cuz she was >> she was swinging at you. Okay. Did you get hit? >> Yeah, I got hit in the head a couple of times but you know like I said I'm I can take it. I wasn't that I just don't want to be attacked >> but I couldn't defend myself. She's what 300 lb. I don't know how big she is. >> Okay. All right. I will go down there and then if you need me I'll come back to get you a statement. But I'll be right back. Okay. >> All right. Thank you. I'm not very good. We pulled him in and all that crap. >> I know you're good. >> I know they probably already talked to you. Um I'm initial on this call. Do you mind just giving me a rundown of what you kind of told them? >> So, do you mind holding that face? I'm just kidding. >> I was sitting in the garage. My dad saw a boy uh run down here and was standing looking this way and he's like, "What the heck is he bleeding?" Gets up, goes checks on her, checks on him >> and he was bleeding. Another witness confirmed the child's condition. >> Got him back over here >> and got him sat down, started cleaning him up, asked him what was going on. >> He said that his mom tried beating him with the statue that two um and tried drowning him as well. And she's been doing it all day today. And so I'm just trying to comfort him, making sure he's okay. I'm like, you okay, bud? like is there >> Patrice Shirley Marie Garcia was charged with aggravated child abuse, disarming a police officer and burglary. The child was transported to a hospital for treatment and the case was forwarded to prosecutors for formal court proceedings. Remember, allegations involving serious physical harm to a young child typically result in immediate arrest and highlevel felony charges. When a suspect also attempts to enter neighbors homes or interferes with officers, additional charges can be added beyond the initial child abuse allegations. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. That poor kid running doortodo for help is heartbreaking. The neighbors did the right thing, stepping in quickly. This clearly required both criminal charges and mental health intervention. You think the officers were out of options here? Watch what happens next on the body cam and tell us if you would have done the same. The next incident is when drunk mom gets in crash while 5-year-old is home alone. >> So, he's at home with a babysitter, but she's really older. >> Like, she's an older lady. She's like 80 years old. Sir, >> on April 25th, 2022, police responded to a crash regarding and what police discover leaves them stunned. Report a vehicle door flying open and sudden breaking. >> And I got to wake up at 6 to take him to work. >> All of a sudden, I noticed her passenger door flies open and they slam on the brakes. And we didn't unfortunately see it, but I don't know. I think something else is going on, honestly. Good morning. Good morning. >> I work for the kids on my way to work. >> I just saw, you know, traffic kind of traffic kind of came to a to a stop and >> um you know, he he kind of pulled off and I could see the back of the car. So, I just I was driving five, six cars back or something like that. She said their door flung open and they were trying to shut it and then slammed on the brakes. Okay. >> But nobody I didn't see anybody trying to shut any door. I just saw the door wide open in there. Next thing you know, they slammed on the brakes. >> Okay. Is there someone else in the car with him? >> The guy that he was driving. >> I think I think he said his name was Rod. >> Okay. >> Take him to the hospital. >> All right, then. Let's put the cigarette out. Let's get in the truck and let's go to the hospital. >> Yeah. Already knows. >> He doesn't know. >> Yeah, he does know. How? >> The other the other deputy that or the other police officer that stopped out with you called. You already you already talked with that police officer. >> Yeah, but I didn't give him my dad's phone number. >> Yeah, that that apparently that police officer already knew him. >> He already called. >> Oh, he knows my dad. >> Yeah. >> Are you lying to me, please? >> No. So, why don't you kind of run me through what was going on? >> I was just driving. >> The woman states she swerved to avoid something in the road. An officer indicates she will be cited for her role in the crash. She appears emotional and indecisive about going to the hospital. >> Uhhuh. >> And there was like something I don't know. It was that >> okay >> that tire [ __ ] in the road. So I kind of swerved over to the left like like literally right in between here just to go around it so it didn't go over my tires. and somebody from right here. >> Ma'am, if you want to come to the hospital with us. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, we have to go ahead and leave. >> You also have to put the cigarette out. >> I got Okay. >> I'm just trying to think. I got bad depression. I got anxiety. >> Ju just flick it. Put it out. >> Yes, sir. >> Or do that. Go with them if you're going. As far as the accident or crash goes, uh the other two drivers are or the other driver and the passenger are going to be cited for the contributing factor. Uh she already she repeatedly changes her decision about ambulance transport expresses anxiety and asks to contact family. Officers instruct her to remain seated while arrangements are made. >> I just need I just need >> He lives in Arcadia. I just need him to know >> they've already he's already been calling >> but he doesn't know. He doesn't know where he doesn't know is >> at my friend's house thinks that school right now. >> I just spoke to him before we left. >> So, do you want to go to the hospital with us or no? >> I need to go to the hospital. >> Do you want to go with us or do you want to go on your own? >> Am I still allowed to go on my own? >> You can make your own medical decision. You're allowed to do whatever you want to do, but I'm leaving in the next 10 seconds. You want to go with us or do you want to go by yourself? I said, I was like, "What's the address?" >> But she was sluring so bad she couldn't say the name of the street. And I'm like, "Oh my god." And when we finally saw him there outside is when we said, "Oh, wait a minute. There he is." >> Deputies confirm no adult was present at the residence at the time. Sir, please do not pull me into this jail. Sir, sir. Sir. >> The mother was charged with child neglect after deputies determined her 5-year-old had been left home without reliable adult supervision. Remember, leaving a young child without confirmed adult supervision can result in immediate criminal charges. In crash investigations, unrelated safety concerns discovered by officers can significantly change the direction of a case. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. She kept changing her story, which didn't help her situation. Glad the grandparents stepped in to make sure the child was safe. This went from a traffic crash to something much more serious. The tension is already high. Or so it seems. What the body cam captures next saves a life pause and comment what you do here. The next incident is when police respond after bystanders hear kids in car trunk. >> Words were exchanged. Like I said, >> between who? >> Me and me and her. She got very angry when I said. Yeah. She started grabbing my hair. >> She has a history of putting her hand. On May 14th, 2025, police responded to a 911 call in an airport parking when this mom refuses to listen to reason. The mother states she does not want her younger children leaving with their father and adult sibling. Parties are separated for questioning. Is your down there? >> Is this it or is it down there? >> What happened? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Let her talk. >> Step out. Watch me. >> That way you can not be inter. You can just watch. >> My children checking the kids. My children are in the car. I don't want them going with him. >> You don't want them going with them? >> No. >> Who are these people? >> An adult son reports that during a verbal disagreement, the mother grabbed his hair. He states there is a history of similar behavior. Officers observe and ask about minor visible marks. >> Um, the children stand over here so you don't get hurt. >> Is the children father? >> Okay. >> We're supposed to be going on a trip. on a trip. Where you headed? >> I don't know. My bad. >> You're not You're not together anymore. >> No. >> Okay. So, what go >> exchange? She got very angry. She grabbed me to me. She started grabbing me by my hair and then >> What's your guys' name? >> Yeah. Kingston. >> You're Kingston? >> Yeah. Cheese. >> All right, Jasper. Let me see. >> Let me see your arm. >> See what? I know how nothing. >> That's okay. I'm just seeing. >> Why are you gripping your arm like that? Are you in pain? >> No, cuz people's pinching me. I got a boo boo. But it don't hurt. >> You got a boo boo. Where'd you get the boo boo from? >> Oh, they were pinching him and grabbing him and pulling him. >> Okay. Pinching him, grabbing you, and pulling you. Let me see. >> All right. So what what happened? >> Words were exchanged. Like I said, >> between who? >> Me and me and her. She got very angry when I >> The mother explains tensions were high during travel. She says her 20-year-old son became aggravated in the car and that she held or scratched him to prevent him from moving toward her. She denies intending harm and says the younger children were not injured. >> Yeah. She started grabbing my hair. Okay. >> She has a history of putting her hands on me. >> But she just grab grabbed my ass. She wouldn't let me go. Everybody came around. Once start people started coming, she took her hands off me. But then she tried to leave with my siblings. >> Okay. >> Uh when she is, you know what I'm saying? When she has very high energy and high emotions, she wants to, you know, get as much control of the situation as possible. So usually she does that by gathering around like >> So let's back this up a little bit. So altercation where what happened before that? Back up. >> I don't know. Tensions has been high the whole time. We came here on a trip. You know how people be on trips. >> Okay. So, are y'all coming in or going out? >> We're leaving here. We just got here. We're leaving. >> So, we just flew in from where? >> Yeah. Uh, Rhode Island. >> Okay. West. >> Where? Here. >> Yes. >> Who? >> Your dad? >> No, not my dad. >> Or is that your mom's boyfriend or your mom's friend? Who is that? >> No, that's our brother. >> Oh, your brother. Okay. him. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And >> you don't want the kids to go with him. >> Okay. You're supposed to be going where? >> My children. He said to me that they're going to surprise their mother. So, he want my children to come with me. I said, "I cannot let my children come with you." Um, without me being there, >> right? >> So, I came with him on a trip. >> Okay. >> While I came with him on the trip, the boss just started giving me sort of attitude. Who is >> the my oldest son? >> Okay. Your oldest son's giving you attitude. >> Yeah. And my oldest son and I have had altercation before and he jump on me. So when the place will be boring and the way he is, I didn't want him to jump on me. >> Officers clarify that the dispute stemmed from a disagreement over luggage timing and whether to continue the trip. The mother states she wanted to wait for her bag and take the younger children with her if she did not go. >> Uhhuh. >> So is his dad here too or just your dad right there? >> Okay. >> Yeah. Had always take his side. >> Okay. >> Of the story. So we're in a car just now. My baggage it it left. He it was late because we missed the flight behavior business. He started it this morning. >> How old your son? Oldest. >> My son is 20 21. Yeah. So we and listening behavior business um I said I wasn't going. I changed my mind the decision and then my mother beg me my mother said go with them. But one of the reason why I came here because the children >> the little ones. >> Yes. So >> so who's in the front right seat in the passenger seat? In the front front passenger seat. Who's that? >> The front passenger seat. >> Was that your oldest? >> Yes. He the one. >> And then and then their dad is driving. >> Yes. The father is driving. >> Is that your ex-boyfriend or husband? >> Yeah. But it's But is he the children's father? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So the little one too. >> Yeah. >> Who's in the argument? You and your oldest? >> Yeah. If me and the oldest were not in no argument, but he get mad and irritated with me. And when he get mad and irritated with me, he start to be combative. But [ __ ] he was in the front and I was in the back. >> Mhm. >> Today I was in the back. He did it before and he he um like physically towards me, but he wasn't he was in the front. So this time around he couldn't do anything. So when I noticed that he hit me, you know what I did? The first thing I did was to screen him so he don't come to me and do that. So oh we both going to get in trouble because >> did anyone did anyone hurt the little kids? >> No. No. The little children the little children >> they were in the car. >> They were in the car. >> Anybody them? >> No. Nobody them. So, so because of that, I try to hold him down. But I said, I don't want to go so we don't get into big and we don't get into problem because I had to hold him so he don't come towards me. So I was yelling for all the people there to come and help me and I held him. He was sitting in the city. Thank God he was not impact on me. The last time he brought all my last so I was scared. >> Did he live with you? >> No, he left with father. >> When was the last time he put his hands on you? >> This year. The beginning of this year. Yeah. At the beginning at home. >> Yeah. The beginning of No, in a car. The same thing in the car. But I were in the front and he >> Where is home? >> In the coming from Providence. I was in a I were in the back and he were in the front this time around. That's what blessed me. >> So when he me for him to restrain her hair. So he couldn't move at all. But I was getting for everybody to come and help me. They refused the people coming here. So I said, >> "When you decided not to go, were you trying to get the little kids out of the car?" >> Yeah. when they don't want me to. They won't carry my children and I call the police so I can car my children out and they can go >> sir. >> I'm scared. Do you mind if I talk to you? Get your I'm trying to get all the tides. Okay. >> I'm your father right over here. Get you away from me so I can talk to you. Figure out everything going on. So I got his side of it. They're getting her side. Okay. So what happened today? So it was a little family argument I guess ongoing. The mom was like uh telling him to shut up. He's telling the mom to shut up. >> Okay. So verbal going back >> verbal comment back and then she's like you know what nobody's coming to the trip. So she's pulling um >> pulling the stairs >> and then she's trying to pull him to get out of the car and I'm telling her to stop. So then everybody >> officers collect statements from each party. The adult son confirms there was a verbal dispute that turned physical when the mother pulled him. The father characterizes the behavior as part of her personality and denies alcohol involvement. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. She said, "No, they're not going. They're not going." And I said, "Just take a Uber to the house." Okay? >> Cuz uh she could just took a Uber and then we would have went, you know. >> Okay. >> So, where does it all come from? I'm trying to try to get an understanding of everything. He said that um I guess she's normally she's done this before in >> Yes. She normally she is like >> aggressive um for a reason. She's has she been drinking? >> No. No. >> It's just her as a personality. >> Her as a personality. Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. >> Did he not he did not what? She's pulling it here. So he's trying to like like stop and act like a V. Everybody. >> Okay. All right. Anything else you want to add? >> So everything was fine. She has a bag that's going to come in at 8:00. So he said, "No, mom. Uh uh we can't. We have to go." So then she No, no, no. I need my bag. I need my bag. So that's kind of like where it stems from. >> He She's trying to stay for her bag. He's trying to go for the surprise. >> We are trying to go >> for the surprise. Okay. >> That's like the main thing. And then her thing is like if I'm not going my They're not going. So she's trying to use that. >> Okay. All right. You can stop. Thank you. >> So So if you take those little kids out of the car, what's the plan? What are you going to do? >> Oh, the plan is I'm going to go wait for my suitcase, my luggage, and I will call my mother and my mother will help me. >> Go back home. >> No, my mother will talk to me >> and do what? What will you end up doing with you and the kids? >> Um, I will probably see if my mother can talk to me and tell me to go there with with him >> or calm down. >> Will you Uber or >> or will you rent a car or will you >> No, but I for now since we're wasting a lot of time, I can just go with them. If you go with them, you guys are going to get in a >> No, look. I'm I'm not going to go with them. >> Like stop her. >> I don't want I don't want to go up. I just >> stopper. Yeah. Oh, sorry. Sorry. I want us also just resolve it. >> Right now, we got to get all the details. >> Yeah. Well, >> listen. Give us a moment now, man. >> Stand over here. Stand over here. >> Understand? Understand? Understand? She's standing over here. I was ready. >> The guy would have to take the bag and he was going to do a like a statement. Which one is the checklist? >> Which one? >> The son. >> Okay. So, I mean, I agree. >> So, >> after reviewing statements, officers inform the adult son that a decision has been made based on witness accounts and calls received. He is told he is not in trouble, but may need to provide a formal statement. >> Oh, be cool. >> Okay. >> I want to do this in front of the kids. >> Okay. >> What I need from you, bro. >> I need you to come back with us. You're not in trouble. I need you to do a statement >> of what happened. >> If I don't want to do it, though, >> you can do a verbal statement. >> Well, it's better for court if you do a written one. We also have to do this checklist with you where we ask you questions. Just basic yes or no questions. As usual, your mom is the best. >> Yeah. When you talked to me, you said that she has a and even your um your father said the same thing. >> Yeah. Your dad don't want to do one. >> You're saying you don't want to do do one in the end. It's fine. We got you on camera. It's verbal. >> It's not that you're making a decision. >> The decision is made off of all the calls that we got >> and what you said and what she said. >> The decision is made. It's not like you're choosing to get her in trouble. >> Exactly. >> You know what I'm trying to say now? What have told me is this is her personality. This is how she is. Even your father saying, "Hey, she's like this sometimes, right?" Which is not cool. >> Yeah. So, we appreciate that. If you could come with us and just do this this crap, it shouldn't take more than 20 to 30 minutes. I asked your dad if he'd be willing to like loop back and pick you up. He wasn't he didn't say >> I know he's trying to get to the >> I rather him >> Yeah, they're trying to get to this price. >> Okay. So, >> we say Airbnb, but I rather them get to the Airbnb and I'll just come by later. >> Okay. Beautiful. >> We're going to bring him back. She's going, >> but we're going to bring him back and do the witness stuff. >> Officers notify the adult son that the mother will be arrested. The father drives the younger children away from the scene to avoid exposing them to the arrest process. >> All right. So, I spoke with dad. I spoke with the son. You're the last person I need to talk to. >> Arvin. >> Now, I just need to read you this. This does not mean you're in trouble. Okay. >> Oh, >> I'm just going to read you this. >> So, I talked to the son. I talked to the father. Uh-huh. >> Now I got to talk to you. >> So what happened? >> All right. So we Okay. >> So we um we came to the trip to Florida here. So we came now on the trip. My oldest son, he was he was trying to be attitude to me. So I told him I were leaving. She demonstrates her fingernails and explains she scratched her son while trying to restrain him during the argument. Officers photograph her hands as part of documentation. >> All right. So, I spoke with dad. I spoke with the son. You're the last person I need to talk to. >> All right. >> Now, I just need to read you this. This does not mean you're in trouble. I'll get out of it. >> Elijah, 23, was charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, multiple counts possession of a firearm, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Multiple counts. Remember, providing false information and resisting a lawful detention can significantly escalate a routine police encounter. Physical resistance during an arrest often results in additional charges beyond the original violation. This is the reaction of netisens to this situation. This started over open alcohol and spiraled fast. Arguing about the law didn't help once things turned physical. Glad no one was more seriously hurt during that struggle. On September 14th, 2025, bystanders contacted police after hearing unusual sounds coming from a parked vehicle outside a retail store, raising immediate safety concerns. >> What's up, brother? They uh so the car was they managed to get the key from their side. >> Is the car on or off? >> The car's off. >> It's another little girl. She's 70 years old. She was I don't know. >> Another person here took No, that's >> grandma. Me. I'm her friend. She in the store. I went this way. >> She took the little girl so we can try to find out who the mama was. The little girl said she can watch them in there. Okay. But where's the seven-year-old daughter? >> Some lady took in the store. >> She took >> and with the keys. >> The lady took in the store because we was trying to figure out who the parent was. So, because she is the the oldest out of them. >> Officers arrived and learned that several children had been left unattended inside the vehicle while adults were away. >> They was already over here. >> So, them two plus the seven-year-old were in the car. >> I pulled Yeah, cuz they was already over here on phone, I guess, calling y'all and they couldn't open the door and the car was off. So when I came I pulled I just I pulled them out the trunk. They was on top. This one was on top of that one. But I took them out and stuffy. The seven-year-old was locking them. >> This is the grand. >> You're the friend of the grandmother. >> I'm the security. >> And the car was off. Mommy, this where your kids was at. I flipped I'm just saying it was locked. I took the back the car seat from top and I just pulled the seat back. It was in the trunk. >> Who's that? Is that the owner of the vehicle? >> Yeah. And I was >> Are you the owner of this vehicle? >> Okay. How long How long were you did you leave these? >> Okay. cuz cuz we have people that are coming to the car and they're saying that >> this car was off with no AC with two babies in the car >> and then >> I don't know why she got out the car. I was watching them but he >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Who are you? >> Yes, I'm a friend of hers. But he >> witnesses explained they intervened to check on the situation after becoming increasingly concerned. >> He first started calling 911. He saw me standing out there on the car. >> Yeah, because I was went to go use the bathroom. >> So, you were here at the car? >> Yes. I guess cuz I wasn't right there. He feel like they buy their stuff. So, I told y to watch them while I go get them off. >> It's just a bunch of nothing. >> Don't make no sense. They just do too much right here. >> So, were you the one that was watching the kids? >> Yes. >> She went inside? >> Yes. >> I got the kids and everything. He said, "Oh, no. They by their stuff." I didn't see you took the car. >> You mind me asking why did you take the sevenyear-old inside and leave the two? >> She was right here watching them. I asked her to watch them for me while I go get her to tell her what he just did. No, I was watching them. I told her to watch them for me. While I go get her cuz I'm like he's doing too much. She making a big scene for no reason. >> You were watching them too. >> Was the car on or off? >> The car was off. I had the key. >> Yeah. They making a big sit. He kept calling pennies out the tag and everything like what? I I'm so upset with him. >> How long were you guys gone for the car? was not gone. I was here. She ran inside to get some shoes and get some clothes. This don't make no sense. This just don't make no damn sense at all. And I'm telling him I'm here right here on the phone with 911. Then he took pictures of the test. Oh, my girlfriend together in his car. >> Yes. >> Okay. And you were just outside of the car. >> And are you with them or are you just helping out? >> I was helping out. I walked over. Police separated individuals involved and attempted to determine who was responsible for supervising the children. >> I seen them over here. >> Question. You mind stepping over here real quick so I can ask you a quick question? >> When you when you came over >> Mhm. >> Who was watching the video? >> Nobody. She that lady lying. She don't even know them people. >> She She doesn't know who they are. So she was a little girl to go in the store cuz what happened was when I came out of Walmart I seen them already up there talking I seen them kept saying a great car but they mind you I'm at my car m I'm parked over there so you know I ain't being funny I'm like damn >> I seen the Spanish people over there and I hear them saying kids in a gray car. So you know I ain't going to care. I turned around like what the [ __ ] they pointing at. They keep saying kids in the car by >> I never saw her like around the area people that Spanish them people say them kids. them kids when I pulled them out the back. Them kids are cold and sweat, bro. They diapers is so they smell like >> and she went to take her to go find the mama. So she Yeah, she asked me to watch him while I go. She go find the mama and I just gave him the water. So >> did did she leave him in the car until you watch him or did you are you the one that took them out and put him in the shopping cart? >> No, I took I put them in the shopping cart. I just took them out the car. >> Okay. You're the one that took Okay. She heard him talking >> and I told her I was going to leave. She said, "No, don't leave." cuz they really going to think they by themselves. And then that's when I said, "Well, just watch the fun while I go leave the mama." >> Yeah, I got you. >> All right, just stand by for a second. All right. >> Did you two come here together? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, you left them in the car by themselves? >> No. So, what? >> Conflicting explanations were given as officers worked to establish a clear timeline of events. >> Yeah. First, >> I pulled him out and then that's when I realized it was another baby. So, but you seen them in the car by themselves? >> Yeah, they was. And then she I got her out and when when I pulled her out, that's when I seen that one. And I >> So that must have been when she came to get me to get my car. >> No. So in the car alone, >> but they were alone for long enough for multiple people to call. >> So when she got hurt, that lady >> got hurt so we could we was like, let's just go try to find the mom cuz they was already on the phone with police, you know. I said what the phone. >> So with all this being said, you left your kids alone. Hold on. >> Leave them alone. I went in the store to give her the car. I went in there to give her my bank card. >> No, no, no. But you have to understand, you left them alone long enough for multiple people to call for their wellbeing. It is what it is, right? Lesson learned. We're not going to do that again because if she would have put the car in drive or put the car in reverse, that's a rem that's a freaking removal, right? Seus will be called. Officers emphasized that leaving children unattended in a vehicle creates serious safety risks regardless of intent. >> Cannot do that. I'm sorry. It is what it is. I understand you trying to do whatever it is that you got to do, but mom to mom, it's 90° outside. You left them in the car long enough. Multiple people call 911. It cannot happen. Not only that, you left them in there long enough that someone was able enough to remove them from the car, have fire rescue come, then have the police come. That's too long. Do you understand where I'm coming from? Okay, it's South Florida. People kidnap kids all the time and that's the easy lick. >> So before we go, I need to make sure those car seats are installed correctly. Um, she >> Grandma, that ain't going to work. >> They got still get it strapped up, so she got to take her. >> Whose phone is this? >> I'm mine. Sit down right now. Sit down. Sit down. >> How old is this one? >> She's two. >> And the other little one. >> I'm going to tell you this right now. These aren't the correct car seats >> for them. >> We Walmart has video cameras. The kids were by themselves for 37 minutes approximately. >> Further investigation, including store surveillance, showed the children had been left alone for an extended period. >> Seven minutes. I don't know if you let time escape you, whatever. But at the end of the day, they left 37 minutes unattended for >> that's But it was though cuz we got it on camera. We have you walking in. We have both you guys walking in and then we have you walking out with the cart and then the lady in the purple dress coming to get you. It's between 37 and 40 minutes. Okay. My sergeant is on his way out here. I think he's going to come out here to talk to you and figure out what to do from here. But mom, you can't do that. Does your AC work? >> Okay. >> I just got a back. >> Okay. All right. Well, you guys just got to wait. Okay. >> So, tell me what happened today. >> So, we were walking. I I usually never park here. I usually park there. So, we happened to come to Walmart and we started walking. As we got to the door, before the door, her son is the one that noticed that there was a sound coming like a knock. A knock on the back of the trunk. Did you see him? >> I saw the car seat. >> He saw the car seats, but he said, "I think there's somebody in there." >> So, you noticed a sound in the back of the trunk? >> Yeah. As we started walking down there, then I then he said, "Let's go take a look." So, I thought about it. I said, "That's not that couldn't be true." But I went and took a look anyways. So, we had nothing to do. So, when we look, I don't see nobody there. but he's the one that noticed that there was uh they were stuffed in the back of the the truck. >> Supervisors were called to the scene as officers discussed possible protective actions. >> And I said, "Oh my god, there are people back there. There's kids." >> Would you how do you know that there was kids in the trunk? >> Because we were looking inside the the car. >> Looking inside the car, >> correct? >> And you saw what? A hand, a foot. >> I seen I seen foot and I seen diapers and stuff a little bit like that moving. >> So you seen a foot sticking out? >> Yes. Yes, ma'am. >> All right. Okay. So, hold on. >> That's when I called quickly. The car was off. There was no AC blowing in there. And we even looked in the car. The car car was completely off. >> Who do you live with? >> I have my own place. >> You don't live with anybody? >> No. >> You have any family member in the area? >> Why am I going to go to jail? >> To be honest, yes. >> Why? What did I do wrong? >> Okay. So, I'm going to explain this to you, right? I have two witnesses. We're just going to I'm going to explain. See, you have I have two witnesses, mom to mom, cuz I have a 5-year-old. I have two witnesses that called 911. Your kids were found in the trunk of a car with Oh, yes. >> They play in the trunk of the car. They wasn't found in no trunk of the car. >> No, no, no. That's how they got noticed. Cuz they heard a >> Yeah, cuz they be playing in the trunk. You can ask my daughter. >> No, no, no. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care about that. >> This always be playing in the trunk. They always >> in 90° weather. >> The car was on. No, it wasn't. >> I swear to you, you can ask my child. She can tell you the car was on. Okay, but you can ask my daughter. >> Authorities explained that immediate decisions were required to ensure the children's wellbeing. >> The car was on. >> She's seven. I'm talking to >> It doesn't matter what you ask to them. They're going to ask my daughter question and she's going to tell them. It's >> They're also going to talk to two grown adults, not a seveny old. >> But y'all not taking my my story either. Y'all just taking >> But you were inside Walmart. Yeah, but not for long. >> For 37 minutes. >> I saw you on camera inside that store and you were gone for 37 minutes. >> So, I'm trying to help you out. >> No, because I saw >> You don't have any family members? >> I told her that I was not going to go in the store, >> but because I had need to grab a few extra things, I still didn't need to go with my first mom. I've never been to no jail. >> We know. We know. But you need to call. >> The situation concluded with officers taking enforcement action and arranging care for the children. >> Family member to go work for them. >> Do you understand? >> I cannot afford to go to jail. >> Okay, look. It's either it's either you can find a family member. >> I mean, I'm not going. >> The incident concluded with the mother arrested and charged with child neglect. the children released to their grandmother and authorities continuing a review to determine any further actions.
