high-speed chases can start as routine stops but quickly turn dangerous fleeing drivers risk their lives and those of others weaving through traffic and defying speed limits join us as we examine intense high-speed Pursuits and the serious consequences of reckless driving on Saturday August 7th 2021 Corporal no while on duty in a marked Patrol vehicle observed a red Chevrolet Equinox unlawfully traveling up the right shoulder of the entrance ramp to in 75 85 Northbound from I20 Eastbound in fton County the vehicle passed several cars stopped in traffic Corporal no activated his emergency lights and signaled for the driver to pull over the driver nodded but then maneuvered through three lanes of traffic and continued on the shoulder despite the trooper siren the driver accelerated fleeing from the traffic stop and initiating a Pursuit on the shoulder 104 1080 I'm approaching Edge left shoulder right shoulder right shoulder I'm coming up to you work way to the right [Music] red the suspect was driving recklessly from the start making the pursuit increasingly dangerous he was passing other vehicles too closely and running red lights prompting law enforcement to act quickly to stop him brakes braks brakes and find a a gap [Music] here crashing through stuff looks like no 1050s coming up on Street exiting slowing down 1050 1050 1050 as the suspect attempted to exit the highway he crashed the vehicle both he and the passenger exited and fled on foot but they were quickly apprehended and taken into custody without further incident on July 8th 2024 Trooper Cass observed a silver Land Rover SUV exceeding the speed limit radar confirmed the vehicle was traveling 72 mph in a 50 mph construction zone on Interstate 30 east at mile marker 139 where workers were present upon activating lights and sirens for a traffic stop the driver slowed and signaled to move right but then continued onto Interstate 30 east passing exits and several shoulder areas the SUV took exit 141 and ran a green Traffic Light bypassing multiple parking lots and side roads Trooper Cass then notified dispatch that a Pursuit was in progress heading nor Locus speed's currently at 25 re-entering 30 Eastbound [Music] just the suspect entered the highway and Troop was unable to execute a tactical vehicle intervention tvi due to heavy traffic which could have resulted in significant damage to innocent drivers have a lot of cars around now [Music] roaching the 40 [Music] split taking 40 West this Pursuit is now becoming really interesting when Trooper executed the tvi causing the suspect's vehicle to spin the suspect then began driving into oncoming traffic making the pursuit significantly more dangerous yeah they drove out the tvi heading wrong way on 30X not let get on the wrong way we're already on [Music] T other person hit Trooper executed another tvi causing the suspect's vehicle to crash into another car it's unfortunate that an innocent driver who had nothing to do with this situation ended up with a destroyed vehicle the suspect was arrested and taken into custody I'd love to hear your thoughts about this pursuit in the comments below on July 17th 2024 at approximately 1:13 p.m. Trooper David Calvert observed a white Dodge truck with ar LPN usal Duo traveling south on State Highway 161 near the on-ramp to Interstate 40 East at 1:14 p.m. Trooper activated emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle the driver accelerated and fled eastbound on Interstate 40 Trooper activated Sirens as the vehicle continued at a high rate of speed weaving in and out of traffic to evade law enforcement driving but they are yielding [Music] still 40 East coming up on 159 speeds 105 light [Music] traffic it was later confirmed that this was a stolen vehicle important to note is that we strongly advise against such behavior and you should only learn from the mistakes made in this episode light [Music] trafficing G [Music] driving on the shoulder coming up on gway 160 speed 100 we're driving on shoulder a we just took from the [Music] airport 576 close to it the suspect continually drove in the shoulder lane recklessly passing other vehicles and demonstrating a complete disregard for the safety of others on the [Music] road what kind of car is it again it's a white Dodge pickup looks like he's got a lift on it with [Music] 35s he's driving back on the shoulder uh coming up on 165 speeds 102 light to medium traffic but they're yelding 1351 secondary I call it 55 to we're going to be East 164 he's on the right shoulder speed [Music] 120 still drawing left on the right shoulder speeds [Music] 120 the pursuit finally ended when the suspect pulled over to the side of the road Troopers exited their patrol cars and arrested the suspect cover traffic's good we on August 9th 2022 Trooper Grant was conducting stationary radar on Interstate 185 Northbound at mile marker 44 when he observed a vehicle speeding at 88 mph in a 70 mph Zone he activ AC ated his Patrol vehicle's Emergency Equipment to initiate a traffic stop on a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu however the suspect accelerated and fled prompting a Pursuit Trooper Grant attempted to notify troop decommunization [Music] goad 1038 of 1080 going to be 411 Northbound getting off at the 46 hanging right Texas tag in the silver Malibu Mike kilo 02149 MKZ 2149 upper mid all right taking left on not Road left on not Road right want to mil of traffic it's important to note that we strongly advise against such Behavior you should only learn from the mistakes made in this clip all right run the stop side of Big Springs Mount continue e [Music] [Music] pass [Music] for I got the rear right passenger door open rear right passenger door open up the suspect slowed down and the passenger opened the door and jumped out of the vehicle after the passenger exited the suspect accelerated once more continuing to flee from law enforcement clear pass Dr out the vehicle on with the 10 Flo looks like I still got three in the [Music] [Music] car we have one console ahead m pass CER Point Drive pass C Point Drive East passer Point Drive East Jesus the suspect slowed down again allowing two more individuals to exit the vehicle the trooper informed other units about the passengers who had left the suspect's vehicle and they were on route to handle the situation while the trooper continued pursuing the suspect black and still got front passeng the [Music] driver cover hang on what your this is crazy one more passenger left the vehicle and suspect again continued fleeing I would like to hear your Tau if you have ever seen this many people left the vehicle during a [Music] Pursuit let me here in the ground get in the ground who else in the car over here I can see after a chaotic Pursuit the suspect was finally apprehended and taken into custody without any further incident despite the Reckless Behavior displayed throughout the Chase Law Enforcement was able to safely bring the situation to a close
