Hold on. >> Okay. Okay. Let's get on the sidewalk. I've asked everybody for help. >> The child is checked for injuries and signs of distress. So, hospital. >> Okay. So, what's wrong, dear? >> What's wrong, baby? somebody right now. Help. >> I was over there. My friend's dead and she needs to be with me. Did you just pull, baby? >> I don't believe you. >> Do you want to come sit? Do you want to come sit in a warm car? >> Okay. Hey, are you hurting anywhere? >> Please tell me >> where. >> Officers separate the grandmother from the child for safety. The child is transported to the hospital for evaluation. The grandmother continues speaking incoherently and appears impaired. >> Where? >> I don't your arm. your arm. >> I've had >> is your stomach or >> your arm? >> She's not abuser. >> I feel Let's Let's get her somewhere warm. She can't >> I want to get her into a car, please. She's barefoot. >> Okay. I really >> Somebody Somebody take her in the morning. >> Oh, I got you. I got you. >> My first grand. >> 224. I need you. They're they're just trying to get her warm right now. >> Are you transport? >> Where's my baby? A witness explains he saw the woman screaming and the child crying. He provided a hoodie to help keep the child warm and called the police after feeling something was not right. >> Lily down the street. >> She has no shoes on. >> She said she they were out at her house. Hold on, dude. ran over there. >> He started not breathing. >> I have no Wi-Fi. I picked it up. I >> Hey, listen. Since you're in the back of the car, can I take that first off you just put it in the back? Nothing in there. You should have. Can I search it very far? >> Absolutely. Four years recovery. Okay. What do you >> Hey, ma'am. Can we're going to transport you in a different car, okay? Just because usually we only let people that are under arrest in the back and you want to come right >> where you be right behind me. Be right behind you. Okay. You'll be okay. Just step out before the swim behind. >> You can hospital. >> Yeah. Cheese gloves. >> What's that? >> Gloves. >> Thank you. >> Yeah. God, it's cold. address. Is that her? Is that her? >> Yeah. >> Address mother or grandmother or whatever it was. >> Grandmother. What apartment? Where's the mother? All right. Call me. The witness describes the grandmother claiming the child had asthma and that unknown individuals were near her. He [snorts] states the child appeared underdressed for the weather. All right. No. She's going to be the mother of the child. working hard. >> What's up, love? >> I uh stopped by a second ago and then I called. I d I gave one of my work hoodies over to the Aelia to the lady that was out here screaming. It was all kind of weird [ __ ] >> So, that was your jacket? >> Yeah, I go to the truest every time I get off work at the Aelia and uh I handed the uh the hoodie over. >> I don't know what it was weird [ __ ] I don't know what going on, but uh >> it didn't feel cool. >> Okay. Do you have your ID on you? >> Yep. >> But I called as well and then the lady said that there was somebody info on me. >> Okay. Is this still a good address for you? >> Yes. At least I work five nights a week at these other cocktails. >> Okay. Well, what's a good phone number for you? >> Um, >> and you born here? What's going on? >> You born here, Milton? >> Uh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> Well, no, I'm sorry. I was born in Toledo, but I grew up in the city, so >> Okay. All right. So, what did you do when you first got here? So, I was coming down. Um, one of y'all go there. >> So, you're coming up where the way. >> So, I always come down straight down from the bar and then I come up this way and go down the trousers deposit. >> Yeah. >> When I went around the corner, um, I could hear the baby screaming. Okay. >> And I could hear the lady screaming and the white guys was right by her. >> Okay. and I went to pass by and um >> it looked kind of like they were going to grab her or something. So I turned around at the red light. >> I blasted through it. I turned around. I came back and it just looked like the baby only had like pajamas on or something. I'm like she came back and I went to roll up. >> She don't want to know how she want. I said, "Yeah, whatever. Stay away from me." Said, "Hey lady, >> put this hoodie on that." And then she was like, "You need help. Call the cops." We went to walk up back. Yeah. >> Soon as that happened and as soon as I was on the phone, I said, "I need the police." I said, "Which >> and she said, "Yep, officers are rolling up right now." I said, "Okay, cool. I'm dropping off the stuff at the bank." >> Yeah. >> Then I'll ride right back by like she can have the hoodie. That baby's tired. >> Okay. Um, so she's standing on that corner right there. >> Yes. >> Okay. Uh maybe had >> no pajamas on. Um >> so what the hell was going on? I don't know when those dudes. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So I was like kind of ready. >> So she All right. So she was just in pajamas. >> Officers informed the grandmother she cannot leave due to concerns about the child's safety and her apparent impairment. They explain that she appears under the influence >> with that lady. We're trying to find him now. It's like dark colored jacket kind of like the one he's wearing right there. Um, but I think both of them were black males. >> That lady that had the kids screaming and crying over there, they were not they they were there when I pulled up and then they took off. So, I'm trying to find them. >> Huh? They were just there, but Serge wants me to find them. So, >> all right. Uh, she's going to have to go in your car or somebody's car cuz >> Yeah, yours is car. >> Yeah. Uh, >> here. If you want to move it up here. >> Yep. >> We'll stand here. >> Not at the moment. Can't let you do that. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Because she's screaming and crying. >> You're out in the cold. You told me you were co-sleeping with her. >> Yes. >> Okay. You're definitely appear to be under the influence of something in all of our opinion. Okay. All all three of us here have been doing this job for quite a while and we we can tell. >> Yeah. All right. Come on. No, back seat right here and place your >> After being advised of her rights, the grandmother admits to taking Suboxone the previous day [snorts] and confirms she is not prescribed the medication. >> Yeah. Just >> Yeah. >> Well, well, no, that was when I swore you statement, but I'm talking about your Miranda warnings >> before before I talked to you that he read to you. >> Yes. When I read you that card and I said these rights. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Have you taken any kind of substance or anything tonight? >> Uh, tonight I have like a orange suboxin, but it wasn't tonight. It was yesterday. >> It was yesterday. >> Yesterday. >> Okay. But you're prescribed the suboxin. >> No, sir. >> You're not? >> I'm not. No. >> Okay. >> What time did you take? >> I don't remember because it made me sick to my >> The grandmother is arrested and charged with child neglect. Authorities notify child protective services. Her bond was set at $5,000 at the Escambia County Jail. The child is later released into the care of another responsible adult. Remember leaving a young child outside in cold conditions without proper clothing can quickly become a serious safety concern. If officers believe a caregiver is impaired and a child is at risk, they are legally required to intervene to protect the child. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. That baby should never have been out there in that weather. Glad the bystander stepped in and called for help. This shows how quickly things can escalate when substances are involved. Think this situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. The next incident is when police rescue toddler from extremely dangerous parents. >> He almost threw the table. He doesn't understand boundaries. He doesn't understand personal space. He doesn't understand social cues. >> So you just scoop him. >> Scooped him pretty. >> So you picked him up, you brought him. Did you scoop do it in the living room or did you just go to his room? >> I I went to the couch. He has >> on February 9th, 2025 officers in St. Petersburg respond to a child welfare report involving an 8-year-old boy. >> He's training here. I I'm not applying any force on him with the intent to hurt him. >> If you want to sit down, you can. It's up to you. Or just make it comfortable. It's going to be a minute. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, we're out here. Uh, we got the report, uh, DCF report. So, police, we just come to back her, but some things he's saying is alarming and we're just looking further into it. Doesn't mean anybody's in trouble. Just means we're doing our job as further investigating and it's either they're going to go one way or the other way. Does that make sense? >> Okay. Uh, so let me grab what's information. Okay, so I can get that information. Okay, so I can grab that from you after. >> What's your first name? >> Alex. >> By having him here, you're going to persuade >> just for that one question. >> Which you can tell me. Which you can tell me. Then we can do it. You know what I mean? Cuz by if he's >> there was never any do. >> Okay. What is he talking about? You know, you obviously know what he's talking about. >> I know what he's talking about. And uh it was masking tape. >> Masking tape. That explains why it's blue. >> Gotcha. What happened with the masking tape? >> It was a day um few months back. He was uh he was being uncomfortable. It means that um if his mind is not set right, which is most of the time, he will oppose with all that he has. And surprisingly enough, all that he has is quite scary. He is mightier than you would expect a grown-up to be. And that day he was being uncontrollable. We were at his therapist uncomfortable afternoon. >> I just don't understand. What's uncomfortable? >> Uncontrollable. >> Uncontrollable. Okay. >> We were at his therapist that same day in the afternoon. And uh we were scared because he almost uh he almost threw the table. >> So he just masking tape him. And where did he just just put him in his room or did he put him on the couch here or >> on a chair? >> He has a a double-decker bed in his room and and and he has uh the the the lower part is a sofa bed. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> So, they put him there and was so out of himself that well, we heard him >> yell. Wow. and then knocked out. That's what I >> officers questioned visible injuries, including a mark above the child's eyebrow. The child reportedly told authorities his father kicked him the previous day. The mother suggests the child exaggerates events. >> Uhoh. And then he yelled again. So I went in and he was so out of himself that from the sofa he managed to roll onto the floor and he hurt his chin. >> Okay. Yeah. I saw the mark which would make sense cuz he's Okay. So he rolled hit his chin. Was there a lot of blood or no? >> Oh yes. >> I was going to say face bleeds a lot. Was EMS called or did you guys just control the bleeding? Was ambulance called or did you just control the bleeding? So we control the bleeding. We've managed uh we both my husband has proper training. I have experience. Uh we used to live on a boat. So >> what does your husband do? >> He works for a software company called Red Hat. >> Okay. Do you ever recall ever? He's got the mark above his eyebrow. Do you know what happened with the mark? >> He always had it. >> The red mark. >> Red mark. >> Yeah. There's a little like a fresh red mark right above his left eye. He says he's saying dad kicked him yesterday to cuz he was doing that high-pitched squeal thing he does. The mother describes behavioral challenges, stating the child struggles with boundaries and social cues. Officers gathered details about schooling and therapy. >> So, >> I don't know. >> Okay. Yeah, he said that uh I'm trying to think. Uh talk about dad >> [ __ ] with many people. >> Gotcha. >> Uh he's he tends to retain only the negative things. Um, for example, he will say that at the playground he never gets the swings >> when reality gets the swings. >> And when you dig in a little bit, you find out that it's something that happened once a couple weeks ago. >> Okay. Which I mean, now that you say it, I can see it. uh >> and and sometimes he's being very pushy because he doesn't have uh he doesn't understand boundaries. He doesn't understand personal space. He doesn't understand social cues and sometimes his will push him away and he will said that hit him. >> Gotcha. Okay, that makes more sense. um four therapists and oh watch out your gets sprayed. >> Oh, sugar plum fairy. >> As far as his schooling, does he go like does he have like a teacher? >> Yes. So this uh this school uh it's not >> the father acknowledges chasing and physically restraining the child at times, but denies intentionally hurting him. He states the tape was used instead of spanking. as a school. Uh but it works as a school. >> Okay. >> What's it called? >> So >> that's a school. >> I missed it. >> It's not incorporated as a school. >> That's why it's called a tutoring place and homeschool. >> Gotcha. >> Um >> does he have a specific tutor that he works with there? Like oneonone? >> It's just it's No, it's just one tutor for all the kids. It's seven kids at the moment. >> What's that tutor's name? Blush Gorson. >> Okay. >> Um yeah, so it starts >> Oh, she she will have a few things to say about first. >> Okay. Yeah. Like I said, our my role is just to gather as much information just to kind of show like the patterns. Is >> that your um I was like, "Oh, no. >> It's it's a right there." So, >> um [laughter] just to kind of establish like what's going on. But besides that, I will definitely be back most likely tomorrow to touch base with just to kind of see like what his side is, what his story is. Um, and then obviously they >> a couple more quick questions. Uh, so he he responds to pain and he snaps back together. Uh, you were talking about sometimes when you get frustrated, do you ever go further than the limit or your your husband ever go further than the limit? You think? You know what I mean? Like cuz I know you said when you get frustrated. I'm just trying to piece in. I don't know after he keeps running by the door and peeking his head out. So, I see where you're talking. >> Officers clarify that Florida law permits limited corporal punishment but prohibits abuse or intentional harm. They explain that restraining a child with tape and leaving him unattended crosses legal boundaries. >> Talking about where he's been grabbing the cat. Sorry, my nose itches. >> Oh, >> you know, we're Oh, I forgot about the Super Bowl. I was like, what is everybody? We're doing our best as to >> correct him, >> teach him, correct him, >> um, and keep our sanity. >> I don't blame you. Um, >> um, and, um, I tend to yell. >> I got yelled at. uh because it's often the only way that he will snap out of something and do it, you know. Um and >> super nice. He's just a puppy. >> He's adorable. >> Hi, baby. >> I love doggies. I love doggies. Yes, I do. Uh all right. Well, >> should I put him inside? >> Yes, please. And then we'll do the same thing. We'll talk to him and then we'll get this wrapped up. >> We're just going to talk to him separately. >> Yeah. Yeah. We have to It's part of the job. >> I love the lights in the back. >> Can you recall when this happened? >> Precisely. No, but that was before Christmas. >> Before Christmas. >> I would say a few weeks before Christmas. >> It was at the peak of his the excitement for Christmas. So that was making him >> get all antsy. >> Yeah. Is this the first time you utilize masking tape in that way? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> I had closed his door once using masking tape, but uh >> that's that's it. >> Was there a lot of blood when he fell because it is a face? >> Not that much. No, >> not that much. >> But we had to put I think Alex had to put something like three strips on it. >> Okay. >> It wasn't cut. >> Yeah. Okay. Uh so have you ever seen He he he was saying that I'd struck him in the back before. Have you ever seen use physical? Says that sometimes the physicalness will set him right. He will feel the pain. >> Officers continue questioning about other disciplinary methods, including cold showers and physical restraint. The parents describe attempts to manage behavior, but deny intending harm. in our face, >> which he's going to be in your face, >> but uh well, not not always because sometimes he's just loud but not in our face. Got >> it's different. In which case, if you ignore him, he >> Is there any other physical stuff like the shower? Because the shower makes sense because when it the water hits him, it's going to take him out of his reality. Is there any other >> if you have suggestions on taking >> No, I'm just asking because uh I'm trying to piece everything together and because my job is to find the reasons and the intent behind stuff and then now I see the your reason was to get him to calm down and snap out of his reality there. Is there any other >> Well, we we the the one tool we have right now, he he gets $5 a month and every time he misbehave >> tech hurts me like anywhere and then tries to take pants off to spank. >> What? >> So, I'm just trying to He's eight years old. I'm trying to piece >> when he was when he was four. That was one of the uh the thing where take your take your take your pants off, you're going to get spanked. It didn't get spanked, but that was uh that was the verbal menace. >> Gotcha. Still, like I said, still legal. But when he says >> when he goes from does physical violence and then he says right after that, hurts me uh like anywhere. What kind of stuff does There's got to be more to the story for an eight-year-old to be saying that. You see what I'm saying? So that's what I'm trying to piece and debunk because when your wife is talking about, okay, yeah, we do his hands like this. Like, okay, that makes sense. You're trying to calm him down. I get it. What I'm trying to do is debunk everything. So when he's saying this, I'm trying to say, okay, >> I don't know what he's referring to because apart from me potentially hurting him because he wiggles because I'm restraining him, I I'm not applying any force on him with the intent to hurt him. >> Yeah. >> Police explain that restraining a child with tape is not legally permissible and may constitute felony child neglect. The parents are informed that charges will be filed. >> I don't understand. I I am cooperating. >> Just Okay. Hold on. 3:30. >> Okay. Just almost like you're praying. Whatever's comfortable for you. However you want to. >> Is that the easiest way for you? My husband >> was not very flexible on the >> Yeah, you're good. So, it's kind of I get it. Okay. Double lock that. And then the other thing that >> Let's have him have a seat real quick. >> Yeah. If you want to take a seat. >> Take a seat right there. >> Okay. And the second thing is he wants us to also arrest you. >> Oh, >> excuse me. What are you going to explain all that? I'm trying to keep it on possibly of neighbors >> and then I'll explain everything and reasons why. No, I need I need to I need to turn off the stove. >> Okay, we will help you with everything. >> So, I will explain everything to you here in a second >> to do. And when I asked her how how you got it, she told me you used to be a boy scout and you became a boy scout leader. >> Well, I didn't get the opportunity to tell you that he did get a proper certification for that. >> Not for stitches. >> From >> not for stitches, but but for >> what? from uh from the boycott in France. >> I don't have anything in here. >> Okay, this one I'll take those out. I'll leave those inside unless you want them in your property. >> Okay, just go ahead and have a seat in there. I try and buckle you up. That's loose. The 56-year-old father and 45year-old mother are arrested and transported to the Penllis County Jail. Authorities warn that a possible no contact order may be imposed. Both parents were charged with child neglect, resulting in great bodily harm. The father's bond was set at $50,000 and the mothers at $40,000. Remember, physical restraint methods that restrict a child's movement can cross into criminal conduct, even if intended as discipline. When injuries occur, failing to seek medical care may significantly increase legal consequences. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. Taping an 8-year-old is never okay. They should have asked professionals for help instead of doing this. This is why mandated reporters exist. You think the officers were out of options here? Watch what happens next on the body cam and tell [bell] us if you would have done the same. The next incident is when cops step in after toddler found with suspicious injuries. >> After the incident, after you fell, did you take them to a doctor? >> No. >> Okay. You didn't? >> No. Well, I guess I don't know whether you have kids or not, but >> I'll tell you, I do have kids and I know what to do if something like that happens. >> Yeah. Something like what happens? >> If a child falls or something like that, I would say kids >> [music] >> On September 8th, 2024, a worried mom called police when she noticed her 2-year-old son had marks after spending the week with their dad. >> Listen. So, >> how are you? I'm Faith. >> Hello. Nice to meet you. >> Nice. >> My wish came in here. [laughter] >> So, this is this is Sean. >> Okay. >> And this is what I'm talking about. the bruises right here. And >> okay, >> he said he fell. >> Okay. Can you turn his head? >> I look at the ears here. >> It's just like a second time real quick. >> Yeah. >> Mommy, what was in here? >> Right here. >> Hey buddy. >> Do you think it's a normal fall? >> And it's not only one time happen. >> Is it just here? Like right here? >> Yeah. And also here and also his head is right here. The crotch right there. Let me see if that's there. >> Okay. >> Okay. Let me just check the rest. >> Okay. >> Hey little guy. He's not too happy. >> Yeah. I think he's in pain in his head cuz it's like >> All right. We can set him down for a second. Can we can actually just look the rest of them over like he pop his shirt off. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Got one boy. >> Mommy. Is there anything else you noticed? >> Um, this one only here. >> Okay. On his chest. What are these bumps he's got going on on his back? What? >> Like an eczema right there. >> Yeah, this one. >> And can I see his legs? >> Mommy, the one in here. >> Yeah, it's all right, baby. So far, it's all in his head. >> He's got a little scratch under his eye. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And was when was the last time he was here at this like at your like at your home like not with the father? >> Um last last week cuz we have our arrangement is like every other week. >> Mhm. >> And they just got here they >> he's been at his father's house for approximately a week. >> Yes. >> And did he have >> the mother reports this has happened multiple times following visitation exchanges. Officers photographed the injuries and confirmed the marks appear recent. >> Any other uh marks like that when he was at here before he went to his father? >> No. >> Okay. So that all that >> is from >> when he was with the father. >> Yes. >> You spoke the father and what the father tell you. >> Yeah. He said he has a big head. He fell. That's it. That's all I hear. Like you know you need you need to do this one. And it's already three consecutive Sundays. Every time he drop off the kids, it's always like that. I have a lot of pictures. I have a lots of >> Okay. >> And his head, all that is fresh from this time. That is not I mean, none of that is lasting from the past times. You're saying that he's had a new one. >> Specifically from this week only. That's when those occurred. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Can I uh can I can you bring him back over here again? I need to take a couple photos. It's all right. It's all right. >> I'm I'm going to get his the one on his chest first. Can you >> Okay. >> Okay. Let me see his eye. Let me get the one on his eye. Let me see. >> All right. >> Okay. I kind of got that one. >> Oh, >> officers inform the mother that detectives will continue the investigation. They advise her to call if the father attempts to retrieve the child before the matter is resolved. >> His lips too. Oh, >> look at that. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Look at [laughter] all right. >> I know. I know, buddy. >> I just want to make sure you know that because it's already three times and I'm tired of, you know, telling him that when you do this again, I'm going to call the police and he's not And all he said is he just he follows. That's it. >> Yes. >> Does he have like a girlfriend or anything that he's with? He's with a girlfriend. >> Do you know if she ever like takes care of him? >> Actually, there's between a favorite season between cuz she's a daddy's girl. And in our situation, it's kind of like he what do you call that? He's blaming him. >> Mhm. of of our like relationship. They didn't work out. >> No, just >> and he I know he's not capable of taking care of two kids cuz he has a back problem. >> A chronic problem. >> You guys have a child custody agreement? >> We're still working on it. Yeah. >> So, you guys sharing him is just what you guys have agreed upon yourselves until >> No, we have a lawyer. >> Okay. You do have a lawyer. Okay. So, there is some kind of agreement. >> Yes. Yes. >> Okay. Do you know what his phone number is? >> Yeah. And he said he cuz last time I told him that I might call police when it's going to happen again. >> And now he said you can call police. >> Okay. >> He said it. >> All righty. Uh can you give me a couple minutes? Yeah. >> I'll be right back. >> All right. So, >> this back copy is for you. >> This is for me. Um I notified my sergeant. The detective was notified. So, they're going to come out here. They're going to continue the investigation. Pretty much I'm going to tell them what I have so far. >> They'll come out and they'll continue it. They'll get in contact. >> Officers contact the father. He states the child fell while playing on a small trampoline in a bedroom. He denies any intentional harm and says the child frequently falls. Okay. >> Thank you. You, too. >> Bye. >> Bye-bye. >> Hey, I'm doing good. How are you? >> Great. >> Okay. So, we got a case called into the department because of your sunshine. >> Okay. >> Because of the bruising he had on his face. It was called into us, but there was some concerns as to how he got >> Okay. >> He's a little over 2-year-old and he fell. We got little little jumpings and all sorts of stuff >> and >> he fell. And >> he fell off fell off for what though? He he was playing in his room that uh we have all sorts of little toys in there. Got one of those little jump things. It's like a little trampoline. >> Mhm. So he was playing on the trampoline and he fell off. >> Yes, ma'am. That fell off. Just kind of fell on it. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> You seen the marks that he got on his face? >> Yeah. >> Did he go to the doctor for them? >> No. >> No. So I've got two kids. Uh Aaron, she's almost five. And Sean, who just turned turned two on 618. >> This kid falls more in one day than than Aaron falls in her whole career. >> Okay. >> So to the kids, but I I don't know. Mommy is uh just been kind of kind of fussy at me. >> How long you How long were you two were married? >> We were married. >> Currently going through a divorce, right? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Yeah. >> How long were you married or currently? >> Uh four years. Four years. >> Okay. >> And you two share one child or two child two children two children two children two children two children two children two children two children two children two children together. >> Okay. >> We we're on one week on one week off. >> Okay. And this week we're mommy has the kids. >> Mommy has and and I'm off this week. >> Just a quick question if you don't mind me asking. When he fell and got those bruises on his face, can you complain of like any injuries at all? >> No. >> No. >> No. Hey. Hey listen. So So he he was born with an perforated anus. I don't know what you know what that means. >> He doesn't have a He didn't have a butthole. >> Oh, wow. That's great. Most people have no idea what that is. This kid has been through so much. Wait, you know when you I don't know. Do you have kids? >> No, sir. >> I do. >> Okay. >> You know, when you bring a baby home, you look 10, you know, fingers, 10 toes, all that stuff, and you don't think about having a butthole. That's how good this kid is. >> Mhm. >> And so, we're used to medically treating this child. They, you know, they don't give you six months or anything. They give you six days. The kids got a coloss bag, an osttomy, a fistula, you know, so we know how to take care of of our child, right? >> Like he he falls a lot. Look at his head. He's a big head kid. We we joke about it. >> Yeah. Was there anyone else in >> officers request to see the trampoline and clarify the timeline. The father says he does not recall the exact day of the fall, but confirms it happened during his custodial week. >> What you found? Uh, >> we were all just kind of playing around. So, I just I don't want you to like feel like we think anything happened, but because Nicole came into the department and because he did have the marks and bruises and it came in as though no one knew what happened to him, which is why we had to come and speak to you. >> Oh, okay. So, I got Okay, that's fine. >> I need to see the the trampoline that he was jumping on and fell off of. >> You need to see the trampoline he was jumping off? >> Mhm. >> All right. >> I have to take a picture of it. >> We have to physically see it. >> Okay, >> that's fine. What's discipline like for the kids? >> What's that? >> What's discipline like? >> We don't really have not much discipline. Um, let me put some corners. We, you know, we just >> Time out. >> Yeah, we just don't we just don't have a whole lot of that that issue, you know? >> You have any questions for myself? >> Um, what what kind of what happens from here? You know, I mean, I guess so. I'm assuming >> so. So, when when we So, we switch off on Sundays. Uh, we don't talk to each other during the week. we used to, but then anyway, mommy didn't didn't want to do that anymore. So, uh, we virtually spent the whole week, you know, without communication with the other party. Um, came back Sunday about 3 minutes late. I let her know before that uh before that happened. >> Mhm. >> And I said, "Hey, uh, you know, Aaron's uh got got a 93 on her assessment." Okay. Um, Sean was playing in his room, fell down. He bruised his face. What happened? What happened? I said, "You know, we were playing in his room. We're all right around jumping and he bruised his face." >> Did this happen on Sunday? >> Did it happen on Sunday? >> No. I honestly I I really don't recall what what that happened. I just don't >> Where's the trampoline uh set up at? >> It's in a little It's in the front front bedroom. >> Front bedroom. >> Okay. >> It It happened during >> During a follow-up interview, the father repeats that the child fell while playing and did not cry significantly. He acknowledges visible redness but denies noticing severe bruising at the time. >> A weekend though, right? He went to school like bruising. The teachers would have definitely said something happened like over the weekend. >> So So somebody that called this in? >> Yes. Someone called into the hotline or did online. >> Okay. So it could have been anybody. Could have been my wife. Could have been somebody else. You're not lied to say. >> It doesn't really matter to me who said you know who's saying that. So, you know, >> but Oh, children right here. They're they're at the mom's house, right? >> Do you need to see the children? >> Um, I did. >> Okay. So, you already saw them. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I seen them. Uh, yes. And the marks on his face is not as I guess severe as they were when uh when he first retired >> and every time we and she's been doing the last couple of weeks and Sean just falls down. We all know this, you know. We just do. He climbs on everything, you know. Yeah. >> And that's we we just Well, what happened? Life happened. >> But you were in the room with him when it happened. What was my key? >> Yeah. You were all just kind of playing down at the end of the >> That makes sense. As you see, >> so everybody had to come down to my house. >> I don't know if all I need at least one person with me. >> Oh. Oh, okay. That that's fine. I just didn't know. Whatever you guys want to do, man. All three want to go down here. I just need to get the golf cart by like a a moment. Hello. >> Hi, Mr. Mike. How are you? >> Great. Sorry. Sorry to bother you. >> It's okay. Okay. Sorry. I was out back. I was I'm >> sorry. >> I I was just out back. >> Oh. Oh, it's fine. So, um remember we were here the other day about the um incident that occurred. We just have to come. >> I just want to tell you, listen, um I got a really bad ear infection in both ears, so it's really hard for me to hear you guys. You ever had that where your sinuses are all blocked up? So, >> do you speak louder? >> Do you prefer to for us to talk out here or inside? I don't know. We're we're fine. We're here. I just want to advise you that that I just it's really having a hard time. >> Okay, that's perfect. So, this is based on what the incident that occurred. Um, so we just have to come back out and just talk to you again about the incident and just do another interview. >> Officers question why medical care was not sought despite visible discoloration. The father maintains he did not believe the injuries required professional evaluation. >> Is that okay? That's cool. >> Yes, that's that's fine. That's fine. Yeah, there's some stuff that's a little vague that we just need some clarification. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, >> would you guys like something to >> drink? No, sir. Very good. Thank you very much. Appreciate it. Thank you. And you're >> my girlfriend. >> Okay. Okay. >> Camera recording. So, >> he can't really hear. So, I'm like has like 10% of his hearing. >> That's fine. So, like I said, I'm just reading this to you because it's per policy and we just have to do this before we question you. You have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions. I do understand your rights. >> I do understand my rights. >> I got these rights in mind. Do you wish to speak to me? >> Um, sure. I'll have a casual conversation with you. I have a couple of questions. Are you placing me under arrest? >> This is just an interview. >> Okay. Okay. Well, uh, okay. >> Like I said, we were here the other day. We just had a brief conversation >> um, about the injuries that your kid sustained, your son. So, can you just go back to that day about how the injuries came about on your son? >> Okay. We were all messing around at what I mean. >> You guys have been in here. >> Camera recording the >> room right back here. It's got two little trampolines in it. Whatever day it was, we were jumping around back there, messing around, jumping on the bean bag chairs, messing around. Sean was jumping, kind of fell, hit the hit the ground. No crying, no nothing. I mean, it was just right there. >> A normal fall. >> Did you see him? Was that >> Did you see him fall? I mean, to say Sam, I was in the same room, but it was just like we're, >> you know, he didn't get up crying. He >> was in the same room. >> I'm sorry. >> Who was in the same room? >> Uh, from my recollection, it was just kind of me and Sean and Aaron. We're just goofing around. We've got a little play castle and stuff in there. So, we just kind of go between the rooms. So, >> okay. >> That's about as much as I can tell you, you know. >> Do you know exactly when this happened? When he fell? >> I'm sorry. >> Do you remember when he fell? >> Like the day? >> I I really don't. Uh-uh. Do you remember when when your child went back to the mom's house? >> On Sunday. We sw. >> So my understanding this he fell the day the days before he How long did you have them? >> A week for a week from Sunday. What was your name again? >> My name Rodriguez. >> Okay. Okay. Listen. Yeah. I've got two children. You have children? >> Maybe. >> Okay. Well, >> if you ever do have be fortunate to have kids, you know, um they fall and they rough house play. Sean, you know, he he climbs and you were in the house. We have a lot of stuff that they climb on and stuff. So, he's we're kind of used to him doing that and and he falls and stuff like that. So, Aaron, I just have this joke that, you know, Sean falls in more than one day than Aaron falls in his whole career. I think I said that last time. That's really about all I really have to add to kind of whatever statement I made. When he when he fell, did you do anything to him? As in render him any aid or >> from my he fell, rolled over, were all goofing around. He didn't even cry. >> So, he didn't complain of anymore at all. >> Did you see any bruising or markings on his face? >> It might have been a little red, but it it looked during the evening it got got redder. It wasn't He didn't complain about it at all. >> Would you say that it got swollen if it puffed up a little bit? No, not not really swollen. It was >> Officers determine probable cause based on the injuries and lack of medical treatment. The father is placed under arrest and transported to the county jail for booking with a first court appearance scheduled for the following morning. >> Just after the incident, after you saw, did you take them to a doctor? >> No. >> Okay. You didn't? >> No. Well, I guess I don't know whether they have kids or not, but >> I'll tell you I do have kids and I know what to do if something like that happens. >> Yeah. Something like what happens >> if a child falls or something like that. >> You said kids cuz kids fall alive, you know. Um anyway, so I did what I thought was was prudent and pertinent, you know, if there's something wrong with him. Uh you know, we we take care of that. I didn't find any need. >> That's that's what I was asking is what how did you take care of it? just it's just it's like all the little bumps and bruises that you get, you know. I mean, you know, we had a Peter bath that night and you know, just when they handed him off and I was telling uh mommy about the, you know, Eron's braids and I said, "San fell, he scratched his face." She and she does this every single time when we meet. She's very fussy, you know, and I just try to be a good guy and go, "Hey, what else you need?" I write my check and I come home and and I'm a peaceful guy, man. However, there were more than just scratches. There was there was significant discoloration to his to his face area and also to his chest. Um so it's something that would be noticeable. Okay. >> Um and you did not take him to the hospital or to the doctor to be checked out for um the injuries that was sustained. >> There was no significant bruising when we >> Yeah. I I I so I didn't notice any significant bruising. I I all I saw was the mark on on the face that and it wasn't you know listen I know know that kid pretty good you know um >> well we understand that but there's some certain requirements in the state of law >> no I um with that in mind I do have probable cause to just put you under >> put your hands together as if you're praying please >> okay >> I'll explain everything to you in a minute on >> he has a lot of Can you get some slippers or something? >> Can he go to the bathroom and put some grab me? This is not what or we would have I would have said no and we would have asked to speak to an attorney and you lied. That's disappointing. He literally said this is an interview. This is not an arrest. He asked you that. >> I asked you that. >> But you I I read you your rights. Yeah, I I did ask I said are you arrested? I asked you that. >> It was an interview. >> Okay. And based based on >> and you said you said >> this was an interview. I told you that this was >> okay. I'm not mad at you. I'm just So listen, I'm not resisting or anything. So can I make uh >> we'll get we'll get some shoes for you and everything and I'll choose the rest once we get to the >> We'll take all your property. That way it makes it easier. >> Do you have anything in your pocket that you might want if you're here at the house? Uh, I got my first little vape. Just a vape. >> Just for me. >> That's it. >> What's for me? >> So So what happens from here? >> We're going to we're going to take you to the county jail to be booked in. Um, you're going to see they're going to see the judge. He's going to have first appearance in the morning. Correct. >> Yes. >> First appearance in the morning. The judge will will have some medications that I need to take. Exactly. >> They have a nurse at the jail. You can let the nurse know and they'll be able to provide you with the medication that you need. Okay. I'm going to get you some slippers and once I take you to the district, I'll let you use the bathroom. Okay. Okay. Okay. Great. >> All right. We'll get you some slippers. Once you get to the district, I'll let you use the restroom and uh get you a drink of water. >> The father was charged with child abuse. Remember, visible injuries to a young child may require medical evaluation. Even if the incident appears minor at first, when concerns arise during custody exchanges, documentation and timely reporting can initiate formal review processes. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. If there are bruises like that, getting medical care seems like the safest move. Custody situations can get complicated quickly. Glad officers documented everything carefully. The tension is already high, or so it seems. What the body cam captures next saves a life. Pause and comment what you do here. The next incident is when mom teaches her child all the wrong lessons during this traffic stop. >> I don't want to leave my daughter by myself. >> Ma'am, you should have given me your info. Now it's out of your hands. Okay. >> Cuz this is harassment. >> How is this harassment? We have no idea who you are. Do you understand what harassment? >> Just like I don't know who you are either. [music] On June 1st, 2024, in Palm Beach County, officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle fail to make a complete stop and noticing dark window tint. The driver refuses to lower the window and declines to exit the vehicle when instructed. >> Third and serious all four tires. >> Hello. >> How are you doing? Can you lower the window for my partner? Who is my partner? Can you lower the window for him? >> Why? >> Cuz I'm asking you to lower the window so he can see what's going on inside. >> Why? >> Cuz I'm asking you to. Can you lower the window? Now he's going to open the door cuz he can't see inside. >> No, he cannot open my car. >> Step out the car real quick. Come on. Come on. Come on. Step out of the car. >> Why would you be asking me to step out the car? What's the problem? Come on. Get out. >> No, you do not. >> Get out the car, man. Get out the car. I'm going to take out the car. >> Get out the car. I'm going to pull you out the car. >> Get out the car. Pull out the car. Easy that. You're making this difficult. >> Let's go. Thank you. >> I'm sorry. >> Just be It's okay, baby. Just chill. >> Come over. >> Come, baby. Come. >> Come over here. Listen. The reason why we're stopping you is cuz you got to come to a complete stop over there in third and serious because all four tires need to come to a complete stop. >> Okay. Hey, >> you have a driver license? >> Yes, I do. >> You want to give my partner your information? >> Ma'am. Ma'am, you stay here. Let me get it for you. >> He said give me give me >> No, he said, do you want to give my partner? >> He can't. He can't go in my >> ma'am. >> Hello. >> Like, that's ridiculous. What the hell? The driver repeatedly asks if she is under arrest and states she does not consent to identifying herself, claiming the stop is unlawful. Officers explain that during a traffic stop, the driver must provide identification. >> What's the problem? >> Let's go. Let's go back over. >> I get what you're saying, but come on now. You >> in the car. >> This is Listen, we can stand here and look inside of the car. Anything we see there is plain view. Plain view doctrine. You can look it up. We came to >> Does the doors have to be open then? If you could just look in the car, you see it through the windows and what do you >> don't close my car the last time. >> You can stay there. >> Yo, ma'am. Ma'am, relax. >> What are you doing? Like, come on, man. Stay here. You guys are doing way too much. We're not >> We're doing way too much. You pulled me over for practically no reason. I stopped at the stop sign and they pulled you over for the stop sign. Okay. >> Okay. >> The reason if you want to stand right here, I'll explain everything to you. But as of right now, you guys are making this very difficult. >> All right. Can you can you get off your phone and listen to me? >> I'm going to record for my >> Yeah, feel free feel free to record. >> Okay. >> All right. So, we He's asking that you roll the windows down because we have no idea who's in the car. We have no idea what dangers are inside of the car. So, it's for officer safety reason. Okay. That's why he asked you to do that. If you say no, I don't want to, then the partner can open the door to ensure that everything is safe. >> I cannot. That's against my rights. I know you can't do that. >> Okay. No. What's your name? >> Am I under arrest? >> You can't. >> It's a traffic stop. >> Am I under arrest? >> You want to Do you want to identify yourself? >> Am I under arrest? >> It's a traffic stop. So therefore, you have to identify yourself. If you don't, you will be under arrest. >> Is that against the law? >> Yes, ma'am. my dark tent statue. It's a traffic block. Yes, ma'am. >> They're not even that dark. >> Okay. Can you get the tent meter? And then you also ran the stop sign. All right. We're really not trying to make this a big deal. We really aren't. You took it there. You escalated it. Now, we're still trying to deescalate it. I'm asking you for your info so that we can go about the >> I don't choose to identify myself. Okay, then I'm going to >> After multiple warnings that refusal to identify would lead to arrest, the driver continues declining, officers place her under arrest for failure to identify and obstruction related to the traffic investigation. Have to place her under arrest in front of your daughter and I don't want to have to do that for >> fail to identify. You're obstructing our investigation. >> Arrest anybody. >> You're obstructing our investigation. Let's not do this. >> What investigation? What am I under in traffic for? But what did I do wrong? You have to have an actual emergency or you have to suspect an emergency. There was no emergency. And you guys know that. >> You're wrong. >> You're wrong. >> So So you're saying the only time we can pull a car over is only for an emergency. >> Yes. That's literally what you guys are for. You if you don't have I didn't get if I'm not suspect for a crime, you don't have a right to pull me over. >> I'm going to ask you in 3 seconds. Can you identify yourself if you don't? >> I'm not because that's >> Turn over. hands behind your back. You're under arrest. Hold it. >> Can I at least call somebody to my door? >> No. You want to do all of this? No. We're going to call DCF and DCF is going to >> And you know I'm going to take you all to court, right? >> Okay. Everything is being recorded. >> The driver's 10-year-old daughter remains at the scene. Officers informed the mother that the Department of Children and Families, DCF, will be notified due to the arrest occurring in the child's presence. >> I have a right to call someone. >> Yeah. Get my phone. >> Can you give her my phone so she can call? >> That's horrible. I cannot believe you guys are doing this. >> We can't believe we have to do this. >> Why would you have to do this? I have done nothing wrong. And you know that there is no crime. I can see you arresting me for a crime. I have not committed one crime. >> Oh my god. >> This is completely tyrannical. >> Come over here, please. >> Can I get my mother's phone so I can call my family members? Because you're trying to arrest my mother. >> Yeah, she we're not trying. She is arrested. >> Okay. Well, then I have a right to call someone to come and pick me up, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. We're going to make sure you're in good hands. >> Okay. Okay. So, I'm going to go and and call my sister and my brother and my father so he can come and pick me up. >> Why would you have to do this? >> So, can I go ahead and call my get my mother? >> I have your mom's phone. Just hang tight. Yeah, just hang tight. >> I know her password. >> Hang tight, ma'am. Okay. I know you're trying to act like an adult, but you're not. You're still a kid. All right. So, act like a child and be respectful. Okay. I don't know what your your mom has taught you, but she hasn't taught you respect. Okay. I'm not trying to be disrespectful and I apologize if you get that from me. But >> too late to apologize. >> Okay. Well, then I take my apology if that's what you want. But I would like to call my father. >> Sir, >> I want to call my father. >> We're gonna walk. >> You're under arrest. Officers explain the legal basis for the stop failure to stop completely and illegal window tint. They clarify that identification is required during lawful traffic stops. The driver continues disputing the legality. >> Leave my daughter by herself. >> Ma'am, you should have given me your info. Now it's out of your hands. Okay. >> So, do do you want do you want to give me your info and then we >> I'll give you my info. But you understand what you're doing is wrong. Correct. >> No, I don't. >> Okay. All right. Walk. >> Keep walking. >> This is so wrong. What's your name? I >> Thomas. I'm Detective Thomas. We're all detectives. >> Okay. And you still haven't told me what I was being arrested for. >> I just I just told you. Fail to identify, man. >> Failure to identify is not a crime. >> Okay. >> Obstructing my investigation. >> What? Investigation into what? What did I do wrong to be investigated? >> Again, >> no weapons or anything on you. >> Do you have Are those shorts underneath? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Believe you have me leaving my 10year-old daughter with They are complete strangers. >> Have a seat. >> Like this is so wrong. >> You understand us as adults, we we have responsibilities and >> Yes, we do. And you and you know your job. You know your job just like I do. Trust me. Put your feet inside, man. >> Okay. So, I'm going to explain it to you from the beginning. Okay. >> We were there. I'm quite sure you saw us. All right. You were coming southbound. Southbound on Douglas. Okay. When you came up to third and Douglas, you didn't make a complete stop at the stop sign. While you were passing us, we saw that you had dark t on your vehicle. Okay. Those are two traffic infractions that we have every right to pull you over for. Okay. So, we do a traffic stop. You come to a stop here. My partner comes up to the car before he passes as any good officer would. Yeah, shooter let the back window down because it's dark and we can't see inside. Okay, there's many instances where when officers walk up the cars, people shoot at a officer, shoot and kill them. Okay, it it does happen. All right, so my offic u my fellow detective, he asked you to do that. You you say you didn't want to. So we ask you to get out of the car, which we have every right to. Okay, also it goes back to officer safety. We have no idea what's in the car. So, you get out of the car and I asked you to identify yourself. I explained the two infractions that we had to stop you and you told me essentially that it's not an emergency and therefore it's no investigation going on. Okay. So, that ma'am is incorrect. It's a traffic stop. It's a lawful investigation. This is all being recorded on my body warn camera. So, therefore, this is why you're in handcuffs. The reason you're in handcuffs is because you said you are not identifying yourself. And I explained to you, I said, "If you don't identify yourself, you will be arrested." And you said, "Well, I'm not giving you my information." Okay. So, from this point, so I placed you in a handcuffs and as of right now, you are under arrest. Okay. So, it's failed to identify. >> The driver eventually offers to identify herself under duress, but officers state she is already under arrest. They warn that refusing to identify could result in booking as Jane Doe >> or obstruction, whichever whichever route you want to go. That's the name of of the charge. Okay. Um, so your daughter is here. Unfortunately, now DCF is going to have to get involved because you chose to do all of this stuff in front of your daughter, which is something that's not even necessary. Okay. So, um, do you wish to identify yourself now? If not, we're gonna take you to the department. If we can't identify who you are, if the vehicle is not registered to you, >> I identify myself, but under duress. >> So, I'll identify myself because I don't want to be I don't want to leave my daughter here. >> Okay. What do you mean by under duress? >> Meaning, I'm being forced to do this. So, I'm going to identify myself. >> This is a traffic stop. Have you been pulled over before? >> Have you been pulled over before? >> Um, I'm going to identify myself. >> Have you been pulled over before? Um because I don't want to leave my daughter here by herself. So I'm going to go ahead and identify myself. >> If you're calling DCF on my child, why would I have to identify myself? That's not true. She had She definitely had >> She didn't have a seat belt on. >> She had on her seat belt. >> My body camera was on. We can review it if you want. >> Exactly. What' you say? >> Exactly. >> Come on, man. Like this is >> I said I don't want to leave her here. And why are you guys calling DCF if I'm telling you I'm identifying myself? >> If she's not being left here by herself, then >> am I going Am I being arrested? >> Yes, ma'am. You are. >> That's why you're in handcuffs. That's why you're in the back of a car. That's why you're separating. >> So, if I'm being arrested anyway, why why would I identify myself? >> Because you have to. If you don't, then you're just going to go to the Palm Beach County jail under Jane Doe and you're going to stand there until you tell them your name. Okay. I don't get it. Do you have a warrant or something? >> No, I don't. I don't get it. I feel like because this is harassment. >> How is this harassment? We have no idea who you are. Do you understand what harassment? >> Just like I don't know who you are either. But I have rights. >> Just because you're a police officer does not mean you can just do whatever you want to do. >> And I know I didn't commit a crime. >> Yeah. I don't understand how like how can I explain this to you any better? Listen, I can understand if See, I'm not a dummy. You understand? I study law myself. >> You're just misinformed. >> No, I'm not misinformed. >> You are, ma'am. I'm telling I'm not lying to you. My body camera is recording. I get it. >> I'm trying to This happens a lot, but I'm not what I I'm not trying to give you a problem, but I know I wasn't being a problem. And for you guys to be doing, >> you committed two infractions. Okay. Therefore, we conduct we conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle. When we conduct the traffic stop, the drive driving is a privilege. Okay. The driver is forced. >> I'm not driving. I'm traveling. So that's another issue. >> Okay. Okay. You're okay. Sit back. >> Ala, tell Nana to come and get my car, please. >> The car is being told. >> Why would my car be towed? For what? >> It works out that you're here. Um because I would be able to hand your sister over to you. Um, unfortunately your mom uh failed to identify herself in a lawful traffic stop and refused to over and over again and she subsequently arrested. >> Officers speak with the daughter, explain DCF procedures, and arrange for the child's father to respond to the scene to assume custody >> for failing to identify herself. >> So, that's where we're at. >> For what? I'm sorry. >> Failing to identify yourself. You know >> when uh when we pull someone over, the person does not have the legal and lawful rights. >> How? >> I'm so sorry. >> So So hold on a second. You didn't know that we have to identify the driver of a vehicle that's driving a car? >> Um I'm I've heard or whatever. >> Uhhuh. >> But I never heard of somebody just getting arrested because they >> Well, what happens if they say no? Do we just let them go for not give them a ticket? >> Uh warned or whatever. >> Who are we warning? >> Who are we warning? Like basically if you have any suspicions or anything like that. >> Nope. I don't know who taught you that, but whoever taught you that just got your mom arrested. >> I don't know. Whatever. But she studies law. >> Okay. Well, >> she knows more than me. >> Well, she's going to jail. >> Um, just hang tight over here. Um, >> we're not done yet. We'll we'll hand her off to you. Do you have a a driver's license on you? >> Yes, I do. I could uh >> also call. >> Do you have your driver's license on you? >> Yeah, I do. >> I know. I'm She's not free. Hello. >> Can I get my purse out the car if they're going to hold the car? >> We'll relax. We'll get everything when we tell you it's okay to do so. Okay. >> Um I don't really feel comfortable. >> Okay. situation. >> Well, well, obviously cuz your mother doesn't know how to act. So, >> can you can you write down her name and date of birth and stuff so I can give it to uh DCF, please? >> Thank you. >> Department of Children and Families, ma'am. Do you do you know who that is? >> I'm not really know. >> I I will. So basically, Department of Children and Families, anytime uh a parent or a child is involved, DCF comes and basically they'll do their investigation to ensure that the child is being treated fairly. >> My mother very well. >> No, I I understand that, but unfortunately, she's being arrested by us right now and >> in front of you. >> In front of you, so we have to send this to DCF. It's making it a lot worse than what it really had to be. >> Okay. >> Right. But I feel like there's no need for that. >> We have to. It's it's protocol. >> Wow. >> So DCF, they'll come and they'll do their own investigation to ensure that you know you're not being neglected, etc. >> They'll give you they'll give you guys some uh like some resources if you >> I don't see why that's needed if I'm telling you right now. >> Okay. I It's protocol, man. What's your name? >> Uh >> what's your name? Um, sorry. I'm just trying to figure out the problem here because right now I don't think we have a problem. >> Yeah, but we have >> So, why would we need to contact? >> Because as of right now, you're by yourself and we have to either take you to DCF or we have to find your your parent or guardian because your mother is going to jail. So, in order for us to turn you over to somebody else, we need to know your name and information so that we can find out who your father is and contact him. >> I can give you my father's information if that's what you need. >> Okay, he'll he'll do that. But you don't want to give him your your uh your name. >> Once I have my other parent here, like I'd be more worried. >> She's she's going to jail. >> Yeah, but once I have my father here to be able to >> Okay, just give him your give him your dad's name and phone number. >> Thank you. >> I'm trying I'm trying to find her name. Are you going through my mother's stuff? >> I am. >> You have a warrant for that? >> No, I don't need a warrant, ma'am. I'm inventorying the car so that I can ensure that nothing is stolen out of the car. >> Oh, well, I'm not being stolen like >> No, the car is being told. So, I'm I'm making sure that nothing goes missing so that when your mom gets out of jail, everything is still here. That's what I'm doing. It's an inventory. It's not not a search. >> Okay, >> understood. >> License, no bueno. And there's a seiz tag order. >> There's a cease tag order >> for the RO and she's >> RO license no good. And there's a seiz tag order. >> Is it her? Does it look like >> that? You guys have a um like this is being handled right and my daughter's still being left alone and she has her her >> Did you identify yourself? >> I tried to but he said I was being arrested. >> No, no, you're still being arrested but listen. >> So Now we run into the problem that we can't hand your daughter over to someone in your hold on let me finish to someone in your family because we can't identify if these people are family members because we don't know who you are. So it's our responsibility. So now we >> officers confirm charges failure to identify/obstruction driving with a suspended license and compliance with a seiz tag order. The mother is transported to jail. >> We have to identify you. We have to identify your daughter and we have to identify the person that we're going to hand your daughter over to cuz that's all got to be put in a police report cuz if we just hand your daughter or someone that you tell us is your daughter. >> Okay. I I'll identify myself because I want my daughter to be she's never been through anything like this before. >> Well, she was very rude for never being through anything. She was very rude. Very very rude. >> My daughter probably would too. If if you treated like this guarantee, >> but I like I said, I want to identify myself so that he can get into my >> Okay. Do you have a driver's license inside the vehicle? >> No. >> No. >> Okay. Give it Give me a minute. I'll get some paper. Write your stuff down. >> All right, ma'am. So, um we ran the tag. The the vehicle is coming back with a seized tag order. Okay. So, I'm taking it. I'm taking the tag. There's a seized tag order. >> What is that? >> It's basically when it's telling law enforcement, pull you over and take the tag. >> Why? >> If the driver is the owner. So, you're the driver. So, we have a seiz tag order. We're taking the tag. The vehicle is being told. Okay. Do you want me to give your are those your braces inside the car? >> Right. But why is it? What is that for? >> Listen to me. >> Do you want me to give your purse, the house keys or whatever? >> Yes, I do. >> To Okay. To who? >> It doesn't matter. Either one of them. >> Anybody over here? >> Uh, whichever one of the two >> that came up here. >> Okay. What's their names? >> Nicia. Nicia. Okay. Um, do you want me to give them all the keys other than the car key? >> Why are you taking >> Because this is it's a seized tag order. >> What is that? You're not explaining to me what it is. Like >> seize tag or order is a order from the government from the state that we are supposed to seize your tag and tell the vehicle. So therefore you your your license is also suspended. It's been suspended many times in the past. Okay. So, like when that happens, some way somehow the state comes out with that order and they tell law enforcement to seize the tag. Therefore, it's kind of like so they can have you stop driving so you can go to them and rectify whatever the issue is. Okay, >> that is crazy. Okay. So, the person stuff, you want me to let them get whatever they want to get out of the car or just the purses? >> Yeah, just tell them to take everything out of the car and >> um also your your husband, he's on his or your her father is on his way. Okay. Yes, she does. >> Did they Did she identify herself? >> I give her name. >> So, you're not giving your name and information? >> Because DCF's going to figure out. >> What happened? That's fine. >> Are you sure that's fine? You want her to go with DCF? >> No, I'm asking about her name. >> Yes. >> Funny. Why is it so funny? Why is this funny? Your mom's going to jail right now. Why is this funny? >> None of this is comedy. >> All right. So, uh, as of right now, your mom, she's she's under arrest for felon to identify. So obstructing our traffic stop. All right. Also, uh driving while license suspended. So felony driving while license suspended. Okay. It's also a C tag order. That's why we took the tag. Um because her license is not suspended. I mean >> the father arrives to take custody of the child. Officers explain that the situation could have resulted in a citation only but escalated due to refusal to comply. >> It it is suspended. It's not valid. Okay. So, as of right now, that's what she's going to to jail for. >> And that forces us to tow the vehicle cuz now there's no tag on it. >> A judge said that we have to take the bag >> and then unfortunately due to this happening in in the presence of a minor uh and arrest, we have to forward this to DCF. Okay. So, DCF will be notified. And yeah. Did Did any of my partners get the address for for her? >> Okay. No problem. And >> yeah, me me too. Me too. And I'm I mean, hey, this could have just been a a citation and they could have been on their way. Um, and they could have been released from here and we would have just sold the car due to the seized tag order. However, the mom chose to >> is concerned about the child right now. >> Okay. >> We are concerned about the child, too. That's why we have to do this. We have to follow the procedure. >> You're not concerned on campus. >> Well, we're going to take her down to a police station. >> Well, no. We don't want to, man. That's why we're still here on scene. That's why we have her standing with her sisters waiting for dad to come. >> At the end of the day, we're just trying to do our job >> and we're trying to do it the right way. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. You want to you want to get a pen and take my name down? The mom was arrested for failure to identify/obstruction during a traffic stop driving with a suspended license and issues related to a stateisssued seiz tag order. The case was forwarded to Florida's Department of Children and Families for standard review. Final case outcomes would be determined by the court process in Palm Beach County. Remember, during a lawful traffic stop, drivers are generally required to provide identification and comply with basic safety instructions. Escalating routine encounters, especially in front of children, can lead to additional legal consequences. This is the reaction of netizens to this situation. She turned a simple stop into an arrest. Her daughter handled herself more calmly than she did. This is why knowing the law correctly matters. Everyone thought it was too late until the body cam shows the exact second officers step in. Did you predict that rescue? The next incident is when police rush in after young girls are targeted at school bus stop. >> These burn art out marks were from him. call her to tell her to come back now. That guy could be a kill. >> That's it. That's it. >> On October 31st, 2025, chaos erupts after a 22-year-old man tries to run over two young girls with his truck. >> Do y'all cameras work right here on this? >> This one does, but the name of >> It's Isaac. >> What about this one on the side right here? This is a bus stop right here. My my daughter's bus stop is right there at presswood, but I wasn't home. So >> this happened like right here >> where the burnout marks are. >> Yeah, this these burn out marks were from him. >> Get her to do some paperwork and then we >> don't have anything. I need to use your phone. >> Okay, I'll get you. I'll get a number. >> My phone don't have a charge. I tried to call her to tell her to come back now. That guy could be a killer. >> Okay. >> Oh [ __ ] >> We don't know. >> Could you guys identify the driver if you saw him again? >> Yes. What color is it? >> Honey, I could I I wasn't here. I >> Britney can't. My daughter can't. He's going to jail. I'm pressing charges. >> I don't care. These other people don't. And I will. I don't care. >> I'm going to be final. >> I'm sick of it. >> I'm going to be violent. >> I'm sick of these people. >> They're on drugs and everything. They act. >> Deputies locate a truck and identify the driver as 22year-old Dylan. Officers approach, order him out of the vehicle, and detain him after he questions the stop and uses confrontational language. You got some Detroit. That's the truck. Watch the truck. What you got going on, man? >> Why you? >> Put your phone out. >> I'm on the phone my mom. >> All right, step out. Put your phone off. >> Y'all know me. >> Dylan is placed in handcuffs and seated in a patrol car. He disputes the allegations and asks officers to review nearby cameras. Officers focus on securing him while continuing the investigation. >> That's why he ain't going to say you grabbing me, bro. behind your back. >> Bro, why y'all dropping my phone like that, bro? >> No, y'all talking about driving crazy past our road. Y'all trying to come up here. >> Stay over there. >> Hey, they got to come. >> Hey, hey, hey. >> Stay over there. >> Y'all crackhead, bro. Y'all crackhead ass. Get life, bro. Get alive, bro. >> Can I talk about We'll talk to you in a minute. All right. >> Hey, hey, hey. Take it back over there. >> It's on speaker. Hello. Who tried to hit who? >> Pull the cameras. Y'all crackheads. Look at y'all. >> Look at Look at y'all. Look at y'all. Look at y'all compared to me. >> Look who's running up. >> Chill out. We got it. >> You bro. Y'all crazy as [ __ ] bro. >> Why you get in the car, bro? Get in the car, man. >> Get in the car. >> I understand. You're not with Stop me like that. I'm get Get in the car, bro. >> I'm tell I'm gonna get the other foot up. Why are you doing that? >> A female passenger states they were driving home and denies erratic driving. She says a woman began yelling at them, prompting them to leave the area. >> Take me in there, bro. >> Get in. >> But look at them and look at me, bro. >> Okay, I understand that. >> I came up here to get some reloads, bro. >> All right, cool. >> I got my medical card. I ain't worried about that. >> Okay, pull the cameras. >> Okay, sergeant. >> They pulled up on me. Running up on me. >> Pull the cameras >> right here. If he did something wrong, he did something wrong. But don't come up disrespecting me. I'm just trying to figure out what the is going on. >> I mean, >> all right. What's going on? >> I don't know. >> I've already got So, we can we can play this as if we don't know what's going on or what? >> I really don't know. You said that you were in the vehicle. >> I mean, I was in the car, but when I was in the car, he was not driving erratically and we were just going home. >> That was it. He was driving fine. He was drive because if he was driving crazy, I would have got the [ __ ] out of the car. I don't play that [ __ ] [laughter] >> Okay. So, they're saying you guys were where? Here. >> He >> deputies interview additional witnesses who report that the truck drove close to the girls and that the driver later returned to the area. One adult describes confronting the driver and observing aggressive acceleration. >> Stopped here for a second and then we just went home and that was it. They were already like I was in the truck right here. I was in the truck right here and she was like sc the lady was screaming and she's like did y'all just come out the dirt road? And I was like no we didn't like I don't know like what you're talking about and she's like well somebody did and she's like screaming at me and so I called him and I was like hey there's a lady out here yelling at me and then he's like okay well we're just going to go home and that's what we did. That's literally what happened. She was just screaming. She literally started screaming at me when I was just walk. >> But no, that lady literally I don't know what was going on, but she like just started yelling immediately and then we went home and then we came back. >> No, I don't have any ID or nothing on me. >> But she was just screaming at us and then when I I get another call I get another call. Somebody said somebody was like I think he's getting arrested. I'm like for what? because like we literally weren't even doing anything and then she's over here screaming in my face again and I don't even know this lady. Like I don't even know what the [ __ ] is going on. >> Okay, >> we should probably get this. >> There you go. I'm going to get more for whoever else was here that witnessed it. >> Well, the lady at the store, but she left for her shift and went home. >> Okay, well that's that's fine. >> Your mom? >> No, it was Ariana witnessed it >> cuz he was coming out my car being aggressive and I said, Ariana, can you please stop? I said, "Because if he gets any closer, where he's aggressive towards me, I'm going to run him over. So, I need a witness." >> Deputies inform Dylan that he is being investigated for attempting to drive toward individuals. He denies entering the roadway where the girls were walking and challenges officers to produce video evidence. >> So, we already let you know about the banging hair. No, I done told you, bro. You turn the heat on, not the AC, bro. No, look how hot it is, bro. >> Get out. >> I'm getting out, bro. You don't got to snatch me around, bro. Please, bro. I'll cooperate, bro. >> You know it is on full. >> Stop running your mouth. >> All I did was I hit with my elbow. >> Don't touch the car. >> Yes, sir. >> Jason, I got to pull. >> Okay. Why you me out though? >> Because you're touching your car. >> I'm touching your car. >> Yeah, you're not going to your car. I'm not going to break your window. I tip my elbow on your door. >> We told you and we warned you already. >> What am I going to jail for? >> Oh, we're trying to investigate, but right now it looks like I assault for trying to hit those people over there. >> What people? >> The people over there. >> Okay, show me video. >> I don't need video. >> You do need video cuz I never went on that road. I never went on that road. I can't >> I got 4K. You want to continue to California? I never I already told you once. I promise you you do. You banging my violence. Why you me, bro? >> You already know what kind of time I'm on. >> I don't care what time. I don't care. >> I don't care what time you on. >> He was in my cell searching my room every day being a [ __ ] at CO, bro. Before I went to prison, bro. That's all you do, bro. >> I I hit the I hit the side door with my elbow, bro. >> We gave him a warning. He keep the camera. >> I hit my elbow nicely, bro, and asked if you want to turn the AC on, bro. That's all I did, bro. Oh, get in. >> Y'all must not like white people, bro. >> Why y'all throwing me like that, bro? >> Is he going to jail? >> Yeah. >> Witnesses provide accounts that include a confrontation between Dylan and a minor male involving a knife, though deputies clarify that the current charge relates specifically to the alleged vehicle incident involving a young girl. >> Can I mean, we were just sitting right there and the lady screamed at me. I don't know what >> did cuz Beth Beth the neighborhood >> I don't know what he told you but we were literally just sitting right there and about to go home or something >> literally about to go home and the lady started screaming at me and I called and I was like hey I don't know what this lady is screaming about but she's screaming at me >> and that was it and then I was at the house I got dropped off the house you don't know what happened cuz you weren't paying attention >> I told you the lady was screaming in my face I told you that >> okay well somebody came just like last time I told you >> okay and I told you the lady was screaming in my face I don't know what happened Um, >> can I get y'all's names, though? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> And who's the one that took my kid to jail? >> Uh, Deputy Fluid. >> Fluid. >> Fluid. F L UI T. We'll write it down. >> F L UI TT. So, where's my truck going to get? Man, I don't have no money. From what I understand, the kid was disrespectful at the house and he was telling him to leave and Dylan walked into the car and the kid pulled a knife on him and Dylan grabbed the knife. I guess he grabbed the blade. >> So the boy so the boy couldn't stab him >> and then it escalated from there. I guess the boy hit Dylan then Dylan hit him back or whatever from the story. I I was >> I was going to say I mean obviously they weren't talking to us so she didn't want to say anything. Neither one of them want to say anything. Okay. Well, if I would have been there, >> deputies explained to the involved parties that while one adult's complaint did not meet the charging elements, the allegation involving the young girl supports a charge. Officers document statements and prepare arrest paperwork. >> I damn sure would have told it. [laughter] >> Hello. >> How's it going, bud? >> Now, I'm playing catchup here. What? What? What happened? What What's all this commotion? So, Alex. >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> I was sitting at home. >> You mind if I >> here when she got home? So, she knows that she'd come to my house or to the neighbor's house for help. >> Is that the one I'm walking with right now? >> Yeah. >> This is her neighbor and she was walking up to her cuz we had just left to take somebody home and I didn't realize that she was coming in that quick and I was trying to get back and she called me and said, "Somebody >> you need to get home now. you need to get home. So I come and of course I got the schools on so I had to go to slow. Um so I get here and Britney's like I've got the tag number. I'm behind you. We're over on Rancho. And I'm like okay I'm coming right there. And she goes I got to back off. He's trying to kill me. You I think he's going to get >> Well, I was scared for my life. What happened was she came in crying upset because he almost here. I didn't see that happen. I came out and I seen the marks and I was like not getting you could see where he tried to hit her >> right here in the dirt. >> Okay. You take these marks right here coming out. That's when he took off. >> That's from when he took off. >> So I said, "Well, I need to go get my son from school. Let's see if they made it home." Cuz I already told him what happened. I said, "Let's go. We'll get down here." They weren't here. I had to get my son with the walker down here in Treadway. If I'm not there, he's going to be wondering where I'm at. So, of course, I said to ride with me. So, we go to pull out and we're about to pass the store and she's like, "Oh my god, Britney, that's the truck." I'm like, "Are you sure, honey?" She's like, "Yes." I'm like, "Okay." So, I did. I pulled in. I got behind it. I pulled in like this. So, I wasn't really behind it. I was next to it, but I'm behind it if that makes any sense. He's face this way on face this way. Behind it. I'm getting his tag number. And there's a girl in the car, which is probably still up there. She was denying that she was in it. But anyway, um I told her, I confronted him about it. I said, "I can't believe that you guys just did that and almost hit this girl and y'all are driving erratically." I said, "I don't know if he's drunk, he's high, or what. This is not cool." Next thing you know, he comes out with his beverage in his brown bag throwing up gang signs talking about, "Why you buying my truck? why are you getting my license plate number? And I explained to him what he did. He was laughing about it. He said, "Oh yeah, you you think this, you think that?" And he was just running on a bunch of stuff. Uh oh, well, watch this. Watch this. I said, "Buddy, I'm not worried about what you're doing. I already got your tag number. Handle it." So, I went to go pull around like this to go leave to go to the school. And you can see where he jumped the curves down there and tried to hit me >> with again. >> We um >> she was never even there. The kids got off the bus. >> Correct. So >> she said that the kids got off the bus and Dylan went around the kids cuz the kids were walking on their phone and walking in the middle of the road. >> Yeah. >> So my sergeant called him out on it. >> Um but because she did not sign it, >> it's none and boy. >> So we can go get him. >> Well, no, the the the child is different. So the charge, he's only being charged with one count, which was because of the little girl, not with this because I my sergeant told her that she was full of it and whatever. But the little girl, yes, at this time he is being charged for that. So her car was her car was right there. His truck was right here. I mean, it was over there, but it was something like this. You see him in the video turn the car and gases it. That's not technically speaking assault. She was under impression because her vehicle right there. It was a >> technically speaking. I'm just just hear me out before we start getting the answer. >> She wasn't lying. It just does not meet the qualif or it doesn't meet the elements because no one was out never outside the vehicle. Again, they were like this. You see them turn the vehicle or you see them turn the wheels, stomps on the gas and hauls. And that's what she thought was him aggressively coming at him. So we completely um >> Well, you can watch me pull out here. I'm going to stomp the gas, too, just because that truck doesn't even go half the damn time. >> I I I understand. Trust me. Well, that's why I had her write a statement on his behalf cuz he refused. >> Well, thank you. >> All right, y'all. Y'all be safe. >> But now she keeps coming up here harassing me. Can I call somebody and get something done on her ass? >> Okay. Yeah. Thank you, sir. And I mean it's it's >> it's kind of hard because it's a public unless >> it's a public lot >> and unless she asks >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Because she has >> now if it was your house different story but this is open to the public. There's absolutely >> I was worried about her. I was just trying >> There's absolutely not much that we can >> we can do. People have the freedom of spec time and there ain't nothing that can be done. >> People can say what they want to say unfortunately but >> it's all good. >> Yes ma'am. I hope y'all have a better one. All right. Dylan is arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail. Authorities later confirm charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and threatening a law enforcement officer. He is released after posting an $8,000 bond. Remember, allegations involving vehicles near school bus stops are treated with urgency due to potential risk to minors. Returning to a scene after a confrontation can increase scrutiny and lead to additional legal consequences. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. If those witnesses are accurate, that's extremely reckless. Going back to the scene made things worse. Glad deputies responded quickly with kids involved. What do you think about these situations?
