So, can I go to my truck? >> Just Just let us make sure of a couple things first and then we'll let you guys be back together. Okay. >> Just be patient for us. >> Oh god. >> Oh, there you go. >> And that's See that stuff? >> Yeah, I saw that. >> Where did that from? >> Right here. >> That's That's We're going to >> take that. Oh, cell phone. >> Back seat. >> Officers identify a high value stolen Freightcom,000 necklace, suspecting it matches one taken during the store theft. >> I didn't even see it. If I didn't see it, he was sitting right there and he didn't see it. They were professionals, >> but it's this type where it's the big circles. Link link links. Big circle. >> Let me see something cuz there was one I showed him for 5,000. His name is John. Yes. >> It might be that one. >> It might be that one. >> Mhm. >> Maybe 5K. >> 5K. That's what I said. >> Do you remember two to three? But hey, I'll put >> Do you remember what what the link looked like? >> It was 18. He had measure it at first. We'll go to the scene and try to uh I mean, I'm sure he lawyer up. So, >> yeah. The $5,000. So, what's the process with the driver's license? How does that work? >> When John got it from the guy? >> Yeah. >> So, if our policy is if someone wants to see a Rolex, they're so expensive, we ask for their driver's license because they could take it and and run and >> it's just to cover our eyes. >> No, no, no. I'm I'm just trying to figure out is it to look at this? Is it just I >> Well, he asked to see a Rolex. >> Okay. Did he end up seeing a Rolex? >> He held on to a Rolex and showed it to him, but that's as far as it went. >> You know, it's that's a different case. It opens out this way. So anybody could know that >> get into it and set it behind the counters. >> But you never know with Rolexes. They can >> there's good things. >> Yeah, they're really Oh, this one the hands are broken off on it. This one's got an odd skip to it, but it feels too light to be real ones. It feels light, too. I wonder if they wear some of this stuff just to make them look >> Yeah. Make it look like >> like they have money. Police shockingly find a real Rolex on a child's wrist. Confirmed stolen. All children had jewelry, iPads, and iPhones. >> Question is, where where did you get the jewelry from? Like the necklace, the earrings? >> There's a old one. >> Old one. What about what about the necklace? >> Even this is old one. >> My Where did you get it from? >> Old from New York. >> From New York. >> Okay. >> They're old ones. These are old. >> Okay. What about the bracelet? Yeah, >> this one is old one. I was my birthday. >> Okay. When was your birthday? >> In December. >> In December. Last December. Okay. All right. And what about those? Those are like Pandora bracelets, aren't they? >> Okay. Where did you get those at? >> This one is old one as well. >> Okay. >> Okay. How long ago did you get that one? I know you said it's old, but >> like 11 months. >> 11 months. Okay. >> Do you have anything in your purse at all? Do you mind if I take a quick look and Okay. >> Yeah. Perfect. I didn't want to pull down on you while we're doing that. >> That one's ticking. >> Well, this one's The hands are all broken off. >> And this thing here is super light. >> I mean, if it's real, it's >> This one's definitely real. This is the one that was taken in college. >> We're taking these. >> Yeah. Yeah. See, that's got the emblem on the back, too. Those don't even have the emblem on the back. They probably wear that into the store to say, "Hey, look, you know, I already have a relax." >> Where'd you get this from? >> His bracelet. >> His bracelet. What about the his ring? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Total loot in the car reaches $300,000. Cash, diamonds, [music] gold coins, luxury watches, and jewelry. >> Right now, you have warrants out of Michigan for your arrest. Um, so we'll come in. We'll talk about kind of everything. Okay. Just >> Okay. Yeah. Please, if you don't mind. >> Yeah. No, go ahead. Go ahead. >> What was the reason they stopped me like that? >> Cuz you have a warrant. You have a warrant out of Michigan. A felony warrant for your arrest. That's why >> I But no, the uh stop. >> Yeah. Yep. That's it. Because you have a felony warrant, a felony charge for your arrest. We're allowed to stop you like that. >> I know. But actually, let me explain. >> Yeah. Yeah. How how is that possible to stop me on the traffic? >> Mhm. >> For these things. >> Because we're allowed to. >> The law allows us to stop you like that. >> But how how you was knew 100% that's me on the car >> because we had we could see you and we were able to verify that you had the warrant. That's it >> cuz >> so we'll we'll we'll talk about it >> because there was like you know I had my uh children with me and when they stole me >> they damaged the car also. So you know >> Yeah. Well, like I said, I'll come back in in a few minutes and we'll talk. Okay. So, just give me one minute. Um that way I can take care of some things. >> To make one phone call to my uh wife >> once once we get over to the jail then you can make the phone calls. Okay. >> Where? >> To the jail. because you have the warrant and you have to go to jail. Okay. So, give me one second. I'll come back. We'll talk. Um I just got to take care of something. Okay. All right. You obviously the the main reason why you're here is this warrant um out of Michigan is for theft and some other things. Um just gonna kind of dive right into this. Obviously, when we stopped you, we found a bunch of jewelry, uh, including Rolexes and stuff like that. Where did all these things come from? Cuz they're like kind of hidden, obviously. [music] That's a little odd, wouldn't you think? So, where those where did those things come from? >> No. >> No comment. Okay. So, there was a Rolex located on your son on his on his wrist that's stolen. Where did those come from? >> No comment. Do you want to talk to me about any? I'll let you talk. >> Depends. >> Okay. Well, on what? What does it depend on? What do you want to talk about? depend what you ask me. >> Okay. Do you still remember everything that I read you before? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, the watch that was on your son was stolen from another county here in Florida. >> No comment. >> No comment. Okay. Well, I'm going to let you know that was you stealing it. We know it's you stealing it. >> No comment. >> Okay. How about the bracelets that were on your wife? >> They're like gold bracelets that she had on. >> No comment. Okay. Am I just wasting my time sitting here or you is everything just going to be no comment? >> No comment. >> The father who has multiple felony warrants is interrogated but repeatedly responds no comment. He is arrested for grand theft. Crime built on lies and distraction eventually collapses, no matter how professional it seems. [music] Using your own children as tools for theft, only guarantees deeper consequences for everyone. That thief thought they had it all figured out. But the next one, even sneakier. Stay tuned and comment your guess. >> Can you go get my phone from her? >> I learn. On March 20th, 2025, staff observe a woman skip scanning items at selfch checkckout. They wait until she heads toward the door before stopping her. >> Oh, she don't got nothing to do. >> Got some moves on >> me. Exactly. >> Want to play this out so they get to the last point. I know they can answer you. So you got to let them >> got to let them get to the door. They're probably on the shoot. I'm on the phone with somebody. loss prevention detains her and another woman with her leading both back to the office despite their protests. >> You got to go back in. >> She ain't got nothing to do with nothing. What happened? >> Got stuff first. Got stuff. >> Oh, I scanned all my stuff. >> No worries. We're going to receive. >> Okay, you can. What you doing? Oh, she don't got nothing to do. What's your name? What's your name? >> She don't have nothing to do with me. >> Officers inform the suspect she was previously trespassed from Walmart. She denies knowing anything about it. >> Let's just make this easy. Both of y'all have to go to the office. Let's go. Let's not make this a big thing. Let's make a big thing. >> I get you. So, we'll both go back in the office and figure this out. So, I'm going to go this way again. to the left. >> Both of y'all got to go in there. >> Where at? >> Just chill left. To left to left, >> over here. Let's not make a scene in the store. Come on. >> Making a scene. I didn't So, am I going to jail or what? >> Well, you were trespassed from here. >> You didn't Did you know you were there? No. Nothing. You didn't touch. >> Police handcuff her and prepare to take her to county jail while she calls someone on the phone asking to be picked up. I need everything. All right. You put your hands behind your back. >> Going to jail. >> Yeah. >> Oh my. Come get me. >> No. >> At Walmart. >> Come get me. >> You'll be at LA County Jail. >> I'm sorry, bro. >> Put that phone down. I don't care if she stays on it, but you got to put your other hand behind your back. Man, I'm sorry, bro. >> Officers search her pockets for safety, checking for weapons or items that may poke them, >> bro. >> They said they already warned her about dress. >> Anything else in your pocket? Anything on you? >> What's in here? >> What is the balance? >> I don't know. >> You can call the Loren Honey Jail when she's out there. >> How about stuff in your pocket? >> Yeah. Give it about an hour for them to book her in. >> In an hour? >> Yeah. >> In an hour. >> They won't be me. >> What else is on you? >> What is it? >> Oh, it's car keys. >> She continues insisting she never knew she was trespassed, claiming she recently shopped there without issue. >> Pocas or Pinos? >> No. >> Here, give me your reach in my pocket. >> All right. When did they tell you this already? >> They never told me this. I don't know. Nothing. They told me the other side. >> Yeah. >> Scale. >> Yep. To the to the left. >> Uh probably a couple hundred. So, I think the theft's a >> couple steal nothing. What are you talking about? >> Well, you got two cuz you got the you got the theft and then you got the trespass. So, >> officers explain she now faces two problems, theft and trespassing. And they cannot change the fact that trespass is in the system. >> Man, what >> Yeah. >> Why you doing me like that? >> I ain't doing >> I ain't do nothing, sir. >> You got two problems going on. You can't be here. Period. That's the problem. >> I was just here. They never told me I trespassed anybody. I just came here and bought a fan. All types of [ __ ] They never told me I was going to have >> Well, they probably didn't see you. >> Yes, they did see me cuz the same girl that was there, she seen me. She looked at me. He looked at me, too. >> I got you. It'll be on the other side over here. >> As [ __ ] bro. >> That's the problem. It's in the system. The second car, man. >> The back the back car. The back car. Back car. Yeah. >> I'm sorry. >> Yeah. I can't control when they call, but Yeah. >> That's corny, bro. Can you go get my phone from her? >> I'll let her know. >> She got your phone cuz you can't make a call. But you want to go on your property. Is that what you ask? >> Yeah, I just I can make a call. I think >> you can't make a call. I'm sorry. >> Yeah, just grab my phone. I just order. >> She asks for her phone and complains about painful cuffs. Officers attempt to adjust them and help retrieve her property and groceries. >> On my phone. >> Okay. I know it's >> You can try You can try to turn to the side. You can try turn to the side. Yeah, that may be a little better. >> Man, that [ __ ] hurt. >> I get you, man. Is that better? >> No, I ain't going to lie. It's not better. >> I can do two cuffs, but it still ain't going to feel good. >> Can you put it in my front? >> I can't do it in the front. I got to be in the back. So, yeah. 437 West is in custody. Copy. >> How I'm going to know if she got my groceries? >> This side. I'll let you give her a call. I don't want you to lose your groceries either. This way. Right here. >> Yeah. Do you have like face? >> Officers coordinate with the other woman to collect groceries and keys while the suspect is taken to jail. >> How do you undo your phone? >> Oh, it's all Let her know that it's at the market side. >> Got the phone. >> Yeah. >> Go to the other side. >> She's going to text me with the total in a second. They're toting up right now. >> Go to the other side to that office and get um the groceries. >> Okay. She said she'll text me as soon as she adds that they >> or my car. >> They went to the uh Yeah, you have to get some sandwich or something. >> Yeah, cuz they taking me to the gym. I got all that hamburger meat in the car. >> Yeah, we can do that. >> All right. So, hold on. >> At the other end, not the subway in the other end. Get my groceries. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> She is charged with retail theft while the other woman receives a trespass charge. Skip scanning might seem small, but it quickly turns into theft and an automatic trip to jail, especially if you're already trespassed. Once a trespass is in the system, denying it won't stop the charges. Choices catch up faster than excuses. Think the last move was bold. This one's on another level. What do you think this thief will take in the next situation? A foods. B. PlayStation 5. C. Fish finders. Dry shampoo. Stop your teeth. >> On June 09th, 2025, police arrive at Walmart during an active theft. A 24year-old man has 700 plus in concealed merchandise in a Walmart bag and is only a few feet from the exit when officers confront him. >> Body wash around here. Stop giving me a taste. I'm going to tase this. You get on the ground. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> 18. We got >> officers threaten to tase him as he briefly resists. He is handcuffed and taken to the security office. No longer to 31. >> Did it go into the thing? >> All right. >> It's my baton shooting flying everywhere. As they walk to the security room, the suspect is preparing to deliver a few emotionally invoking excuses, hoping to sway the officers. >> I was getting ready to >> The suspect gives multiple excuses, claims he has four kids, was planning to resell the items, and says he had the money but didn't want to spend it. >> Stop. It's my magazine. Have a seat on the bench. Stand up. >> You have any weapons on you? >> Good feet. >> I have seat. >> As if it will save him, the suspect tries to go deeper and explain his specific reason for stealing. >> How are you? Soon as I went to the um Moody at uh 20 I heard we had a little >> So I probably going to get a hard turn notification. >> We had a little foot chase and whatnot. >> I got four kids. I'm just trying to >> Why you look familiar? >> I don't want I was honestly I was going to resell them and I just got four kids. It's hard. I'm >> I understand, bro. I got three. I I have the money to pay for him. I just >> You got $770 plus tech? >> Yeah, it's stupid as you don't want to see it. >> He admits he has stolen small items before, but denies major prior theft. He also asks if he can simply pay for the $770 of merchandise officers say no. >> So, how many times you done this and not got caught? >> Not ever from Walmart. But you be hitting loads. No, no. >> Where else? >> It's just like every now and then I'll do something small like toothbrushes, hair stuff like >> body wash. Not like No. >> So you drive all the way from Davenport to come to this stuff? >> No, I'm not. That's an old address. I'm not from Davenport. >> Where you where you stay? >> I stay in um Date City. >> Can I pay for the stuff? >> Huh? >> Can I pay for it? >> I mean, if it was like 10 bucks or something, bro, that's $770. >> I know what I'm saying. I had that opportunity. I don't want to sound like a dick, but >> you know what I mean. >> And if you're interested on the exact items he stole, more on that in a moment. >> Knowing he is going to jail, he asks the officers to call his girlfriend. He tells her over speaker phone that he is being arrested. >> Just turn it like that. Feel a little bit more comfortable. And knowing his fate is sealed, the suspect asks officers to call his lady and let her know she can leave the parking lot because he won't be coming back to the car. >> There's no way I can pay for it. >> No. >> No. You want me to call your girls, tell her what's going on? >> Yeah. >> My face and my phone >> and then you just hold up my face. I'll show you her contact. You can call her. I don't even need a phone call. talk to her. >> Can I talk to her real quick? >> Let's put on speaker. >> I'm sorry. >> Hello. >> Hey, I'm going to jail. >> I'm going to jail. >> What do you mean? >> I don't want I don't want to talk about it. >> What do you mean? >> I'll call you from the jail or whatever and talk. I don't want to talk about it right now. So, you can just head home and I'll call you later. >> Are you being >> Yeah, I'm being serious. >> Huh? >> Yes, I'm being serious. >> Clay, >> I I don't want to talk about it right now. Okay, >> I'll call you in a little bit. >> Officers review whether he will be charged with resisting. He did not fully flee and the taser warning did not escalate the charges. >> Whenever I can or whatever. >> So, go home for real. For real. >> Yeah. Yeah. All right. >> All right. I love you. >> Before they take him to jail, they do, however, inform him on some good news. >> So, stop. Stop. I'm going to tase you. Stop. That didn't count. I heard it. >> I think everybody in the store. I was hurting electronics. >> I didn't hear you say stop. >> Turn the pump. >> Is they're resisting the felony? I don't think he charged you that. >> Yeah, I did. >> You did? Is it a felony or just without violence and stuff? >> I'm sorry. >> That's You're faster than I thought you actually >> It's so much easier. >> I didn't see y'all. I saw them here. Yeah, I'm having problems. >> We had a feeling you were >> I was trying to I just saw him and the door and I was like >> when you said tased you got to have you ever been tased? >> No, I've been but never tased. >> I'll get tased a thousand times before I get pepper spray. >> It lasts It lasts It can last days. You know, taser is a taser is obviously a lot more incapacitating. Yeah, but it's like 5 seconds. >> Exactly. After that 5 seconds is over, you're done. >> Good. Then you start snotting and then >> Yeah, that's bad. >> He talks about having four kids and one on the way plus two different mothers. Officers tell him he narrowly avoided a felony because the amount stolen was under $750. >> So what all is it? Is it just the theft and the >> Yeah. So you got lucky because those you got lucky, dude. 30 more bucks to be felony. Huh? >> No, it's 770. >> No, it's not. [music] >> 719. >> Oh. >> Oh, you got lucky. >> I'm going to jail. I didn't get lucky. >> Well, I'm saying you're not going to catch a felony. >> Yeah. >> Well, >> I got four kids and one on the way. I'm 24. I got a 5-year-old, four-year-old, three-year-old, 2-year-old, >> bro. >> And one on the way. >> When you get out of jail, go buy your box of rubbers. Okay. That's a lot of damn kids. >> And that it was stupid. It's >> you got the same baby mama. All of them. >> No. >> No. >> You got Oh, you got different baby mama. >> I got two baby. >> Well, that's not too bad. >> No, it's not bad. And they're all One's actually a police officer and then the other's a CNA. >> Oh, >> uh, grab his property real quick. We got to throw the vape away. Unfortunately, they >> Can I hit it like one more time? >> I'll let you hit it real quick, >> please. Yeah, please. Google. >> Is the bond on there? >> Yeah. >> $1,000. >> $1,000 total. >> Bond is set at $1,000, which he can pay at the jail. He apologizes before transport. >> Okay. And I can just pay it at the jail. Yep. >> Cool. I apologize to everybody. >> That door down there. >> Wrong way to do it, man. >> No, you're Yeah, I mean, dude, I told >> Did you hear it? I mean, five five more feet. >> I know. Once you said taser, I I was like, I'm not >> I do >> a lot of people, you know, >> I had that little hope. >> Can't blame you for trying, but at the same time, you know, silly mistakes, dude. Everybody makes them. You're not the first, you won't be the last. Um, I know I already searched you. Um, but I do want to ask you before we go >> into the jail, okay? As long as you ain't got nothing that's going to get you in trouble, we're good. Okay. Yeah, he stole two $360 fish finders, $720 total, using an anti-shoplifting device. Because the value is under $750 before tax, he is charged with petty theft, first-degree misdemeanor, and resisting without violence, each punishable by up to a year in jail. Stealing may feel easy in the moment, but it always costs far more in consequences than the item's price. A split-second bad decision can follow you for years. Walking away is always the smarter move. That thief thought they had it all figured out. But the next one, even sneakier, stay tuned and comment your guess. On November 20th, 2024, police arrive at Walmart where loss prevention is watching a woman switching cheap barcode stickers onto higherpriced items to steal merchandise during selfch checkout. >> I will I got the kids >> starting early, huh? >> What she did is she pulled a lot of tags from the socks. She stuck them on the watches and stuff and then now she's um she's peeling off stickers and putting them on adult clothing. That's what she's doing. She's been here since 6:00. >> Jeez. Maybe she thought if she got here early enough wouldn't be here. >> Maybe. I don't know. How you been? >> I'm good. all the work that we have to go do just to go separate or fish out what was stolen and what was not stolen. Goodness. >> So, do you want me to go ahead and grab her and >> No, that's it. I guess we'll wait till she goes to the I told them when she gets to the register, leave her alone.
