Hey, >> don't do it. >> Don't move. Let me be advised. I have one that jumped into the pool with about three or foury old. Just stop. Don't move. >> Absolute leg here. You know, that's >> It didn't take long. Within moments, officers realized this call was different. What they were seeing didn't fit into a normal report, and it forced them to reassess everything. ain't going to stick me, poke me, stab me, for black people, for Spanish people. >> This is when hero cops discover a situation too disturbing to describe. Here is Law Zone, where features real police body cam footage documenting how officers handle tense and unpredictable situations as they happen. The first incident is that mom full-on pinches 9-year-old for discipline. camera exposes her lies. >> She come over and she slapped her in the face and then punched her in the ribs. >> The little girl? >> Yes, the little girl. She said I punched her and and I can't deny it. I don't know if I did or not. And I put my anger out on her for lying. >> Know you got caught on camera hitting that child in real. >> On July 21st, 2023 officers responded after a woman acted aggressively toward a young family member at a medical office. Mom said they need to come outside with me because she had to go in the back with >> I'm the one that called now. >> Okay, give me a sec. Who called? >> Can you come back here? Just pull that. >> Just pull the door. >> Hey, little man. >> Say hi. >> How you doing? How you doing? >> Hey, I'm watching you. My name is Nikki, office manager, but I was on the phone and not in the situation. My office. Yeah. >> Okay. So, the girl that's out there on the phone, I don't know if she's sitting in this car or not, but grandma told that she has three kids of her own that was sitting out in the lobby. >> Grandma told her to go get her mama cuz she's on the phone and tell her to get y'all, which was the three little ones. >> Okay. >> The girl, she's 10 or 11. I can't I don't know exactly how old she is. She went to go tell her mama. Her mama said no. And turned around and walked back this way. So, I went into the room and told the grandma. I said, "Hey." She said no. that she wasn't coming to get them. So then when the daughter found >> multiple witnesses confirmed the incident, including staff and patients. Surveillance cameras are available for review. >> Now that something was so something was said to grandma, >> she come over and she slapped her in the face and then punched her in the ribs. >> The the little girl? >> Yes, the little girl. >> Anybody else besides you see this? >> Yes. All five of us that works up front saw it. We also have cameras >> and there's also two patients that was sitting in the wait room that also saw and heard everything. >> Officers gathered details about where the individuals are located and what happened immediately after the incident. >> Were there any other children up front? >> I don't think so. >> You don't think so? >> I don't think so. >> You don't? Okay. >> But the two the little guy that's with him, there's a little boy that's with him, too. He saw it cuz he was standing right out there. >> Okay. Where is it? Where's the child right now? >> I think she's in the car. >> She's in the car or >> I believe so. I think she turned the car on and she's in the car. >> Okay. Um, wait one second. I'm sorry. I'm trying to get more information. >> No, you're fine. >> What happened after that? >> She turned around and walked or she put them in the car. All three of the kids in the car, turned it on, and then turned around and walked away. Here, >> officers locate the mother outside and begin obtaining her account of events. >> I came and told Dr. Sanchez what happened. >> 68 transportation time. said, "Call 911." And so I went in there and I told grandma, I said, "Look, I had to call 911 because she slapped the child and punched the child in the ribs." Okay. >> And so she went out there and told the daughter, she said, "I there they called 911 on you." And she said, "I didn't punch her, but she punched her." I heard it sitting at my desk. >> You heard it. >> I heard it. >> You heard it. Did you see it? >> Time 118118 1121 remote in and we can >> when can we view that? >> Now, how? >> Okay, that would be great. Go up front, make contact with mom, get her side or whatever mom cuz there's a lot of female. >> The mother states she was frustrated during a phone call and admits she may have acted physically toward the girls. >> I can show you. >> I can show you what she look like. >> Said she was on the phone arguing with her husband. She saying daughter came out and told her that grandma wanted her to get the kids. >> Mhm. >> So she told daughter, "Hey, come outside, you know, get in the car, whatever." >> Mhm. >> Daughter ran back in, told grandma. Grandma came out saying, "Why you say she can't come out?" Blah, blah, blah. She went and tried to pop her on the hand. She said she tried to pop her. And then >> Yeah, we we'll see in a sec. You said grandma's still here. She was I don't know if they left yet. No, >> no, I haven't seen them because you have been here waiting for you to >> Here's the young the child that was here in the room or >> she's outside in the car with a green shirt on. >> Was she still sitting out there? >> I didn't see nobody in a green shirt. I seen a pink shirt, but no. >> You didn't see the little girl in a green shirt? >> It's a It's a little gray car out there. She just got up. >> She explains she believed the girl miscommunicated information and acknowledges reacting out of frustration. >> I know. I really hope that they didn't change that little girl's shirt like that. >> What's going on? >> I just was frustrated and I don't know. She said I punched her and I can't deny it. I don't know if I did or not. Like I said, I was pushed all on the phone punching at my damn hood. Then my mama come out here. Well, my baby told this what happened. My baby told me my mom said they need to come outside with me because she had to go in the back with the kids with Ashley. And I'm on the phone fussing. So I'm like, you know, just come on outside. You ain't got to ask me that. You know what I'm saying? So she goes back in and all I know is my mama come back out fussing like why you tell I'm like what is you talking about? I did not tell her no. I said I didn't tell her no mama. I said I told her to come out here. So my mama fussing at me and I'm on the phone f getting fussed and fussing with my husband and I'm like come out here and walk and I and I'm not lying. I was frustrated with her. So I kind of grabbed her out and I'm like why would you even lie like that? Like why would you lie to my mama like that? You know what I'm saying? And I'm I probably did you know do that and I shouldn't I didn't know you know I'm just being I didn't mean it or nothing. I just really was frustrated. >> Officers review surveillance footage which shows the interaction and confirms physical contact. And I put my anger out on her for lying. That's just that that that's the truth. I I ain't going no lie. I ain't going to lie on it. >> Just hold on one second. All right. Let me see what going on with this. Okay. >> We don't have the most high tech. >> We already knew. This is only the first time that we had an actual reason. >> Okay. So, that's the little girl. >> Mhm. >> Is that the grandma? >> Yeah, that's that's the grandma. You see the >> That's her telling her to go get >> Yeah. Go get her. >> Go get her from outside. >> Yep. Go get your mama. >> All right. So then she comes she's coming to tell her mama. She comes back in and that's when I was going to that grandma said I was tell grandma about mama said she wasn't she walked away cuz I can see it through the blind. Now she's going to tell her. >> Officers inform the mother that the incident was captured on camera and begin taking enforcement action. >> Babe, sir, >> know you got caught on camera hitting that child in real. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I can't I I I can't do nothing about that part right there, baby. This is what's going to happen. I am not going to do all this in front of your children right now. We all going to have to take care of this right now. But where your grandma Where the grandma at? >> Stand by with her. Okay. >> Yeah. Go ahead and call her. Tell her step outside. >> Can I walk over here? I want >> Where you going? Right here by your car. >> Come on. >> I'm not going to run. >> I know you ain't. We going to stand right here, but dang yeah. Get baby girl and put her in the back seat with you. She don't need to be up front near the near the steering wheel. Get in the back seat, BABY. >> I'M ON Y'ALL SITTING there for >> I ain't going to hit. >> No, you ain't. But no, she didn't already hit the wheel. You got on camera. I'm sorry. She hit on the real. >> So what what I got to do >> right now? You going you where you take respons for the kids? >> Oh, I'm I'm going drop her out in her other grandma. I take them. >> Yeah, I need to get all their names. Okay. >> Okay. >> I need to get all their names. I don't want to do this in front of the children. >> Uh yeah. And I got to go back in here with my other grandma. >> Okay. I'll be in there with you in a second. >> Okay. Come on. >> All right. Right now, it's in reference to you striking this child. Okay. >> Officers explain expectations regarding appropriate behavior and continue gathering and identifying information. >> No matter what is going on, you have to control yourself with children. Now, there are punishment. The buts back down, but the way you I can't I can't. All right. Take me to your car and I I'm going get the rest of the information. Okay. Hey y'all. Hey, y'all. Good. Y'all sit right here for a second. I'll be back. Okay. All right. I'm sorry. I know this the last thing you got. >> He got caught on camera. >> This ain't a Mr. [ __ ] thing. Ny ain't got no money. Ain't nobody got no house. I saw you outside and I saw other kids. I'm having to make sure I get this taken care of. Okay. I'm sorry. I know this the last thing you want to be dealing with right now. Okay. >> Now I got to try to come up with something to get her stupid. >> Additional witnesses provide statements confirming the sequence of events and the physical actions observed. >> I'm going follow up with you for that. Okay. >> All right. So, I'm just turning the kids over to you. That's why I'm getting your name. Show that I'm turning the kids over to you. This is the other child. >> This is my son. >> Yes, sir. >> You been all right, boy? All right. I'm going try to get this taken care of quickly so we can figure out what to do after this. Okay. >> All right. Did any of you witness you you what I saw? Okay. So, I saw the oldest daughter was standing kind of like right outside the door. The grandmother had hollered at the mom cuz she needed to go back in the back with the son. >> Mhm. >> Or grandson, I guess. And the mom and the kids were just kind of running around and the mom bought off. So the grandma followed for her to come back and I guess she got mad at the the oldest daughter thought she told on her or something. We're not exactly sure. And so when she came back around she like kind of hit her in the face and then she the the oldest daughter put her arms up and that's when she clocked her in the ribs and I mean we a couple of us were talking about we heard the the the impact in >> Okay, I appreciate that. Um, when the grandma was taking the little boy back, she told the little girl to go out there and tell the mama to come in. And the mom just was like, "No, I'm not coming in." So the little girl told her to come back in to tell the grandma. And the mama got mad and came up and she went >> and then when she punched her, she punched her side. >> The woman was arrested and charged with cruelty in the first degree. Remember, managing frustration is essential, especially in situations involving dependence, as reactions can have serious consequences. Witness accounts and video evidence play a critical role in clarifying events during investigations. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. The camera footage really made the situation clear for everyone involved. You can see how quickly frustration can lead to serious consequences. Good that the staff reported it and the officers followed up right away. Think this situation was already in TAM. The body cam catches a splitsecond decision. That changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. The next incident is when dad does the unthinkable 15 plus times with daughter's teen friend. I don't know. She got a little weird. A grown man. A grown ass man asking you to go work out with him and stuff. >> She was just freaking out, crying. Didn't want me to go him. Um because I said I would. She said that he would give her. Um, and >> on December 29th, 2022 officers in Pickaway County, Ohio, were dispatched to a home in Circleville after a mother reported that her 13-year-old daughter had disclosed involving an adult male. The girl had been staying at a friend's house for several months, but after returning home just days earlier, her behavior had noticeably changed. >> Hey, we're going to walk you out the front. We're going to go >> great. How are you? >> Hang in there. >> Okay. Hey, ma'am. How are you? >> I'm okay. >> Are you mom? >> Mhm. >> Okay. What happened today? >> We Kendall as far as like she's our daughter. >> Okay. friend named Jacqueline that lives right over there in Winchester Pike. Okay. And she has stayed with her before for a couple weeks at a time um just to kind of give us a break, give her a break. She went crazy a couple months ago and said she wanted to go um live over there. I talked to Deum um as her probate. >> The daughter asks to speak privately and begins sharing details that raise serious concerns about the adult male at the residence. >> Officer, she's on probation. Your your daughter's on probation. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And >> Morning Star can give you a hold. Do you know him? Yeah. As well. Okay. Of >> course he knows. >> He can get Well, I mean, I didn't I've never seen you before, so I didn't know if you were new or something. I've never seen you, >> but he can fill you Kindles cuz he dealt with her 90% of the time, right? >> Anyway, long story short, she was over there for a couple months. >> A couple months consecutively. Yes. Okay. >> Yeah. And then she wanted to come home on the 27th. Tuesday, I went and got her. Okay. And then she's acting just weird. And like today she was just really clingy. Like she had her head on my lap and I could tell she wanted to talk and I'm like, you know, what's going on? And she wouldn't say anything. And then >> the mother recounts prior suspicions about the adults behavior and states the daughter disclosed repeated incidents over times. >> Just a little while ago, like right before I called, she asked to talk to me in my room. And then because I had asked her before about Justin as the dad and because he would like um say let's go to the Y and work out and stuff and I said don't you think that's a little weird a grown man a grown man asking you to go work out with him and stuff. >> Yeah. And then she's like mom she's like you know at the time a while ago when I confronted her about it you know she's like no Justin's not like that. She was here visiting around Christmas time. I forget what he was messaging her. was texting her and I said I said Kendall that's just weird and then she just got real quiet and she just acted real weird and then I said he ever and she said and she said no um she went up to her room and then tonight she asked me if um I could talk to her in her room. I said, "Yeah." And I went in there and then that's when she's like, "Well, you know how you said about Justin the other day." And I said, I said, "Mhm." And then she just starts telling me about like the first time that he was just freaking out, crying, didn't want me to go him um because I said I would. He didn't want me to do anything stupid and go to jail. I asked her if he had with her. She started crying and she said yes. She said that he would give her um >> and apples. I guess the mom there I guess the mom over there gets it prescribed to her or whatever and he would give her stuff. >> Do that. >> Next question for you. Um do you know when this happens? >> She didn't she didn't say an exact date. I said how many times did it happen? She said a few. >> A few times. >> Officers explain the situation will be investigated. clarify that the individual will be listed as a suspect and outline next steps. >> Told me probably 15 times >> 15 times said Kendall this is serious you know I mean this is serious and I was like >> have you guys ever considered bringing her to children's hospital and getting a kid or anything like that? We had no idea this even occurred till I just got off. >> You found out all this information today? >> Today? >> Yes. Okay. >> I mean, we had weird suspic not not suspicions. I don't even want to say that. We just thought it was strange that she's that a grown man. >> We questioned her and trying to be all buddy buddy with my old daughter, >> right? >> You know. >> Okay. >> And it's not because we just shipped her off or something. Like I said, morning s >> officers gather identifying details about the suspect and the residence where the events allegedly occur. Ed, >> fill you in on like what a handful she's been. But this is not something that child freaking deserves. >> So, do you guys know the address over there? >> I don't know. I'd have to. It's for She lives right by the right the house that always decorates. >> You say his name's Justin. What's his Justin Roush told Nikki the mom the first time it happened and then >> and you said Nikki's the mom. >> Mhm. >> Okay. And if Nikki and Justin are they together? >> Yeah. They all live >> work and I don't even know if it'd be admissible in court or anything like that. But I asked her I said is have you guys ever talked about because essentially right now I understand that it's her word against him. I I do not think that it would be legally even though I know it happened. I do not think that it is right for a man to just get accused and then you know so him go get arrested >> right so it won't it'll be under investigation so right now I list him as a suspect I will take the report it'll be hand to detective uh bureau I'm actually once I get talking to you guys I'll be calling the on call detectives who's on and we'll discuss this issue further >> officers explain investigative procedures including potential charges depending on age and circumstances and begin documenting witness statements Okay. >> So, he'll be list as a suspect. Doesn't mean that he actually did it or he did, you know, it's just he's a suspect. So, I'm assuming he'll be interviewed something above my pay grade. >> Yeah. I just >> kind of to Kindle. I'm like, this is >> Yeah. No, we take this very, >> you know, I mean, you can destroy somebody's life. >> So, >> but if he did this, I mean, now his >> We know I know too. I get your concerns. >> I want I don't know. I guess I'd have to talk to the detective, but I don't want you to leave here and go there because I want Okay. I want to because he messaged her today asking her to come over for um New Year's Eve. She said Justin messaged me and wanted me to come over for New Year's Eve. And I >> So, even phone records could be subpoenaed. Correct. Right. >> Well, that's what I'm saying. There was never anything about what happened between them. So, say I'm wanting to talk to my mom, but I'm straight told me she said, "Mom, don't go." Because I told her, be something that detectives, >> right? Yeah. So, this will definitely be investigation. Um, next question is, so there's different charges per this. It sounds like if she had full on, it would be under the section, right? >> Um, I need to When did she turn? >> June. >> And she's been going there way before then. So, like when she was Is that what's happening? >> Yeah, she she was there when she was um but she went there to stay for the two months consecutively in September. Officers coordinate next steps, including involving detectives trained in sensitive cases and advising the family on the process. >> I think it was September. >> Okay. So, she was by then. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Cuz kind of the way it works with crimes is kind of the threshold. So, that kind of separates the section versus unlawful just so you guys are aware. But if it's obviously non-consensual, stuff like that, it's all so >> comp. I mean, unconsionable, I would think, you know. >> Um, so if you guys don't mind, um, since you are you're father, right? I'm sorry. I really didn't get to talk to you too much. Gotcha. If you can provide yourself I I get your frustration. Yeah. No, that's that's why we're here. I'd rather you guys do it the legal way. Deal this way and get your guys self in trouble. I hear I understand your guys' frustration. I mean, I would be pissed. I don't have kids, but I would be pissed, too. If you don't mind, since I talked to you, if you don't mind providing your ID so I can put you as a another witness for this for the report, I'm going to have you both fill out a witness statement based on what you guys told me today. >> Investigators note allegations that substances were provided and that incidents occurred over an extended period while the teen stayed at the home. >> Talk to her. >> Talk to her. >> Is there somebody that will talk to her? >> I can talk to her. Um, also detectives can talk to her if you'd wish. If you don't feel comfortable with me doing the female detectives on call, she can do that as well. >> Yeah. Whatever the process is, just to get her um side of things >> being with her being a I prefer to talk to parents and then but if you would allow me to talk to her, I can still talk to her as well. Yeah. >> Um Okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Let me grab those witness statements so I can get your guys' point of story here and uh we'll go from there. Okay. >> All right. Be right back. A responding officer speaks briefly with the teen to establish a timeline. She indicates the most recent incident occurred around the Christmas period. >> I was spoken to the on call detective. Um she's going to get further from her supervisor and she says she may or may not be out here. Um she's going to call me and let me know. The detectives also wanted to know when do you did she state any sort of last time this happened? >> Do you want to get her down here? And >> so I will talk to her with you guys present. I'm not going to talk to her alone. Okay. >> I probably need to >> if you need to step out, that's fine. >> Yeah. I mean, I I just don't want her cleaning up because I'm here. >> He needs to ask you some stuff. >> Tell him. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Hi, I'm Deputy Welsh from Pickway County. So, based on these events that's happened. Um, for one, I'm sorry this has happened to you. Okay. Can you state when was the last time any of this actions have happened? And before you say anything, if you don't feel comfortable mentioning anything, you don't have to. Okay, this >> detectives are requested to respond. Officers pause further questioning to allow specialized investigators to continue >> quickly voluntarily. Okay, >> I'm going upstairs, but you >> Yep, that's fine. Yeah, you're not being questioned or anything like that. I just for better launching this investigation. I just want to be able to help you better. So, do you know the last time anything like this has happened? >> Few days. A few days ago. Okay. >> On Christmas. >> Per Christmas. >> It was Christmas. >> You said on Christmas. >> Before >> before like the 24th Christmas Eve. Give me one second. The detectives call me back. Okay. We have specialized deputies detectives who were trained in offenses cases. Okay. So, she's going to talk to you. She's a female, so I would think you guys would be more well to open up to her. At this time, I don't need anything from you, Kendall. Um, she's going to be here roughly about 20 minutes. So, just from you, Crystal, I just need a witness statement based on the events that you told me. Okay. Okay. >> So, I got these statements. I'm going to start my report. Basically, right now, we're just going to wait till the detectives get or so. She's going to want to speak to you guys and then for right now, do you guys have any other questions for me? >> Nothing off the top of my head. >> Gotcha. I'll probably come back in when she gets here. >> Do you want to ask any questions about your case? Everybody remain silent. Just do whatever they tell for you. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> All right, buddy. We're going to walk you out the front. We're going to grab the >> This one does. >> Yeah, no problem. >> Have anything on you? Just going to stick me cut me? >> No. >> All right. This is your copy of the arrest warrant. It's a no bond warrant until you get aranged. Charge is going to be on. You've also got two summones or three I believe for three count. The adult male was charged and later pleaded guilty to battery, while another adult associated with the residence was charged with endangering. Remember, prompt reporting and open communication can help initiate investigations and protect individuals in vulnerable situations. Specialized investigators play an important role in handling sensitive cases with appropriate care and procedure. This is the reaction of netisonens to this situation. This must have been very difficult for the family to report, but it was the right step. Good to see officers bringing in trained detectives for a situation like this. Important reminder to pay attention to sudden changes in behavior. You think the officers were out of options here? Watch what happens next on the body cam and tell us if you would have done the same. The next incident is when cops realize the fivemon-old been deed inside the U-Haul for hours. >> Oh Jesus is gone. He was yellow. I'm sorry. He was asleep. YELLOW. YEAH. >> OH JESUS. OH, can you run me down? >> On September 16th, 2024, police responded to a residence following reports of an infant. During the investigation, officers discovered that the child's was caused by poisoning. Anything's going to stick me, poke me, stab me, anything. >> Is he? >> All right, you guys got to pull him. >> Oh, man. >> Who all was here? >> It was Whose kid is this? >> Mine? >> This is your kid? >> My kid? Yes. I just laid him down for a bottle like an hour ago. Dude, >> gosh dang it. >> No, he's >> he's gone. Y start. How long has this been down? >> I don't know. Maybe like 20 minutes. I didn't know. >> 30 minutes. >> Oh, Jesus is gone. Yellow. He was yellow. I'm sorry. He was asleep. >> Yellow. Yeah. >> Oh, Jesus. >> Okay. Hold on. Hold on. >> Get away from him. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. HOLD ON. >> 20 MINUTES. COME ON. Get away. Keep >> breathing. Come here. >> Come on. >> Officers assess the situation and determine there are no signs of responsiveness. They direct individuals away from the area while continuing evaluation. >> Shut up. >> There he is. Yeah. Move. >> Okay. Yeah, >> you don't need to be on there. Keep doing that. >> Come on. Cheers. >> Call me back over here. Okay. >> Come back over here. >> Jesus. >> 30 minutes. Nap. >> 30 minutes. No, he was with me. 30 minutes. He went for a nap 30 minutes ago. >> Where was the kid at? >> In the car seat. >> He's in the car seat. >> Yes. >> Okay. Just step back, please. >> Officers inform the mother that there is nothing further that can be done medically. They begin gathering details about the child's condition and timeline. >> What is that? >> That's called leinity. >> Oh Jesus, y'all. >> Our baby's been >> He's gone >> for a long time. The blood pools. >> He's gone. >> I'm sorry. There's nothing we're going to be able to do. >> Sit down here. Come over. Come sit on the step over here. >> Come just come sit on this. >> Unfortunately, there's there's nothing we can do. >> Oh my god. >> Hey. >> Oh my god. >> Come back over here. >> Does he have any kind of medical >> allergic to pen? Oh man. >> All right, they're going to start they're going to start hooking some stuff up. Can you sit back for me? Just just come back over here. I'm going to talk to you real quick. >> The mother explains the child had been placed in a car seat and left in a U-Haul vehicle for a period of time. >> I put the blanket over and usually is a quiet baby. >> Okay, let's go. Can we talk over here? >> See what they say. >> Come on. >> What are we going to >> We got to I got to talk. THEY'RE GOING TO STOP TALKING. >> I KNOW THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING. OKAY, LISTEN. >> WOW. That's what I'm saying. There's like 20 people here. >> Let's go over here and talk. >> I need to know what happened. >> That's my dad. Yeah. >> What happened? >> Had him down for a bottle for about 30 minutes. >> We just went to um go to the hotel and I went back there and that's how I found him. >> He's had four bottles today in the last 3 hours. >> Okay. Was he Was he in the car the whole time? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So So you had him in the car seat. >> Yeah. Laying down in the laying down. Yep. >> Okay. >> And he was sitting Which car was he in? >> Oh, the U-Haul. >> The U-Haul. >> The U-Haul. Yeah. >> Okay. So, he was sitting in the car seat in the U-Haul for how long? >> For about a couple hours. We just left. >> Officers ask about positioning and conditions in the vehicle. Concerns are raised about what occurred during that times. >> To uh go to my friend John's house. >> He was in the car for a couple hours. >> We were just driving around. >> Like alone or was it okay? >> With me? Yeah. Okay. >> And John. And how long was the last time? >> What is that on his stomach? It >> Holy [ __ ] Why does it look like that? >> What? >> Why was he restrained? It was like blood. That would look to me. What? What happened? >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. >> Yeah. Yeah. What happened? >> That's what I'm going to touch. >> Oh, man. >> Okay. Give me my tools and my son back and I'll give you 400 bucks." cuz she I don't want her driving around with the weirdo and my kid. >> Who was >> officers question inconsistencies including the infant seating position and overall safety during transport. >> You say weirdo. What do you mean by weirdo? >> I think she's got some dude with her. I don't know. Maybe not. She said, "All right, uh, we'll do it." Or we called back and forth a few times because she would like didn't want to do it or this and that and then I was like, "Whatever, you know." And then so she's like, "Well, I'm at Walgreens." I heard her say something about Walgreens. So I said, "What Walgreens you ask?" So I went to the one on Beachside and they were already closed. I said, "Are you in the one gall?" She's like, "Yeah, I'm at the Walgreens on a galley. Meet me there." And then >> So she wanted you to meet her there. >> Yeah. And so >> did you give her money? >> Yeah. So I gave her But I only gave her 200. >> Okay. >> So I said, "Here's 200." She had given me my son. I said, "Here's 200." And she goes, "Oh, well then." And then she >> Now you guys are married, right? >> Right. Right. But then she sat in my truck and she's like, "If you don't give me another 200 right now, you know, you're not getting the tools or the kit or whatever." And I'm like, "Come on, dude." So, and then she like wouldn't let me in the truck. So, I was like, "Let me in the truck, I'm going to call the cops, you know, and then so that's when I called." Then she grabbed my son and got out of the truck and I was like, "Where are you going?" And she jumped in the Porsche and took off. So, I'm like, "You have your ID card and that truck registered to you?" >> Yes, sir. >> That truck right there had the windshield bricks thrown through it. She posted about it on Facebook through the front windshield and I just got that. >> Did you report that to the police? >> Uh, no. I reported my insurance, but yeah, I probably should have. >> All right, Daniel. >> You got any weapons in the car? >> No. >> Okay, hang out by your truck real quick. I'm going to go over here real quick. All right, don't go rumaging around. It's okay. It makes us nervous. >> All right, see if you want clear type. >> You just step over here with me now. >> Of course. Can I >> officers detain the mother while continuing the investigation and read her legal rights before further questioning? >> Um, >> hey, what did she just ask you? We're here with the baby. Go with her. >> All right. I'm sorry. >> I >> Do you mind if I look at the purse to see if you have your ID on you? >> No, I have. I have. >> Middle initial. >> Put your bag on the car. All right. We're done looking at the bag. Are those sunglasses? >> Yes. >> Okay. Okay. Can we take them off? Of >> course. >> Okay. Well, leave them off. It's night time. >> No, I have prescription sunglasses. I'm sorry. >> Okay. Well, it's 1:00 in the morning. >> I know. I can't I can't. >> So, where are your regular glasses? >> Um the fear of my husband broke him. >> Okay. So, what what's going on tonight? >> It sounds horrible. So, my husband, I'm still married. We live in one household. And it's it is horrible. He doesn't give me any money. We he works and I take care of the baby and um he already has an affair that lives like not far from our house. And um I asked him if he can um send me some money. We're supposed to get money this morning. Um but he didn't and um I have three days of money and um I wanted to get stuff for the baby. So uh I called him tonight and he said, "Okay, I sent you $100." And then he called me back and said, "Well, I could I could do with you um x-ray." He's like, "If I have to pay for the night and you give me my tools, then um you get $400." And I was like, "All right, I just got to get stuff off. then you can do it up and then you gave him $200 and I was like u and he's like why you going to wait for and I was like well why can you never um stick to the word and then we had I can wait for that talking lot he's like because my baby was screaming I got in the driver's seat because in the passenger seat and I tried to calm down a little bit and then he said um get out of the truck and I got out of it and the baby and um he freaked out and he started First he started sorry he started climbing in the back and then wanted to me out and started driving turn on the car and tried to out of the seat but the door was still open and I was like get you here. I was like I started screaming because I felt threatened and I felt like that's not safe and I asked him to stop and um then he finally did stop and I was like well he's like get out of the truck but I was afraid when we get out the truck that he drives away was a baby and um uh yeah me. So I was like, "What can you get out of the way?" You came in and >> based on statements, observed conditions and evidence, officers escalate from detention to arrest. >> And he did. And then I wanted to get out, had a baby in my hand, and then he threatened me and um just didn't want to let me get out. Yeah. And then um I saw my friend by the car and I was like, "Okay, can you please come and and and and um register?" And >> Okay. So why is the baby in the front seat? Because I I um because the car seat was there. I had the car seat on the top seat. >> Why? >> Um because we actually wanted to train it and I just I didn't think there was enough room. I was sitting in the back seat. I jumped in and we drove. >> Yeah, we were meeting um and um but we were meeting up at Walgreens because I needed to get some stuff from Walgreens and he um you had the baby the whole time. >> I'm sorry. So yeah, I had to wait the whole time. I had my friend with me and um he got out of the truck and get out of the car because I thought it would be better to meet my husband. First, I didn't want to be by myself, but since we need a neutral place, I thought, okay, then I think better I just meet him. >> The mother is placed under arrest and secured in a patrol vehicle. Officers inform both parties of next steps. >> What were you for to give him what? Um, I had tools of his in the back of the park. Um, and see I haven't received any money from him in like three days. And yeah. Uh, >> where is he giving you money for? >> To live because I watch the baby. I >> Where do you live now? What's your address? >> Huh? >> I live with him. But he goes to work every day. I watch the baby. And he doesn't survive. Have you not seen him or >> No, but he doesn't I see him, but he doesn't give me any money. Okay. >> Hey, buddy. Hi buddy. Your arms. How are you? >> Hey buddy. Buddy. Buddy. Buddy. Buddy. Buddy. It's okay. >> Buddy. >> You know, I want the best for the child, but I need I would have given him the child. No problem. I know he's a good father. Does he want a child or >> Yeah, he wanted the child. He we we we agreed to $100 that he um transferred to me and then he's like, "Okay, can you meet me? I give you 400 and I take people for the money." I'm like, "Okay, fine with me." >> I thought you were meaning to give to me. >> Tools and that's what you want >> for $500. >> 400 400 >> because I haven't received any money. I know it sounds ridiculous. He even I don't know. Can I not hold my baby? >> No. >> You know what? Uh talking to you and that obviously >> and my husband I help the baby so he comes down. >> Not right now. Not right now. When we get done with everything, we'll have we'll have your Actually, we'll have your husband come pick up the the baby. >> Can you still talk to your husband, please? >> Why is my husband picking up the baby? Can you shut up, please? >> Oh my god. Right now. Okay. >> Well, wait. Don't pull away. >> Turn around. >> Really? Really? >> This is not up to him. >> That's not up to him. >> What? What did I do wrong? We'll explain that to you in a second. >> You're not under arrest right now. Right now, you're just being detained. You understand what that means? Being detained. Detained means you're just not free to go, but you're not in trouble yet. We just want to talk to you and we're going to figure some stuff out. >> Okay. These guys will explain everything to you in a second. You want to bring the baby to father cuz he has the car seat. >> The father. >> Well, yeah. For now, he's got the car seat. He doesn't have a car seat. >> Of course. We have both a car seat. >> Um, will you stay 10:12? >> Okay. Stay here with her. >> Yeah. >> You want You want to do that for us? >> Why? Why am I getting detained? What did I do wrong? >> Yeah. Go ahead and I was going to test >> Oh, do that for you. Okay. Do that for you. >> What? >> You're being detained right now cuz they're they're doing an investigation right now. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, once they figure all that out, they'll they'll figure all that up. I don't want you know. Hey, I'm going to I'm going to read her Miranda real quick. Okay. >> All right. I'm going to read something to you. Okay. Do you understand English, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Babe, pay attention to me. Don't yell and scream. I don't like people yelling and screaming. All right. I got to read something to you real quick. once I read you and then we can go from there. Okay. What's your name? >> I'm going to pull your glass up a little bit. All right. That way you can see a little prescription lesson. >> Okay. Okay. Um, listen what I got to say. Okay. This is what called Miranda. Before we ask any question, you must understand your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any question. Have your question. You also have the right to stop answering any time until you talk to a lawyer. >> You understand each of these rights that I read to you? >> Okay. With these rights in mind, you still want to talk to us collectively? >> No. >> You don't want to talk to us at all? >> Let me switch. >> Yeah. You don't want to talk at all? >> I want to talk to us or not. I >> Okay. >> The woman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability, false imprisonment of an adult, tampering with a thirdderee felony, proceeding battery related to a dating relationship, and contributing to the dependency of a minor. Remember disputes. Involving family members can escalate quickly when communication breaks down and safety considerations are overlooked. Ensuring safe transportation and care for dependence is critical during any conflict or exchange situation. This is the reaction of nizens to this situation. This situation shows how complicated family disputes can become when emotions run high. Glad the officers focused on checking the infant's safety first. There were a lot of conflicting stories, but the officers stayed methodical. You think this call can't get worse? The body cam captures the exact second officer's rush in comment if you felt that spike. The next incident is when teen babysitter at skate park goes too far before anyone notices. How are you related to this young man? Uh, >> no. I'm babysitting him. Oh, that's from yesterday when he being bad. So, >> it didn't it didn't really seem like disciplinary. It seemed like it was like right at his face. >> I guess she didn't like the way I was trying to protect the baby. Didn't >> On July 9th, 2025, officers responded to a report of a child at a local basketball court. A woman told them that she had witnessed an individual streak a young boy and bounce a basketball on him. She promptly identified the suspect and the officers moved to approach her >> and I was like how they described it. I was around and honestly we weren't doing nothing. I was so please sit down and I like I'd grab like not grab him grab him but like I grab him sit down cuz all he did was trying to he got up too [ __ ] right there and I had to grab him. >> So he was trying to crawl that fence. >> He was trying to crawl over that fence. Yeah. >> And he and she assumed that I was your answer. >> I was trying to protect him. I guess she didn't like the way I was trying to protect the baby getting off that fence. How you doing? >> I got a question for you, bud. There was some there was like some sort of altercation going on over here in this basketball court. Yeah. >> Witnesses describe repeated actions including striking the boy and forceful behavior that caused visible marks >> with that little boy. >> Yeah. The kid was hanging on the fence. She was balling. Which which girl did that go? The >> white was in the head over by the fence. He was yelling at us. Weird. >> Yeah. Can I just get your guys' names quick? >> Okay. So, like so basically that kid was like climbing the fence and then >> the kid was climbing the fence. was watching us for like on the fence with his hand. But then she I don't know what happened but then she started slapping his mouth saying what do you get it out of your mouth and she kept doing it and she she back of the head and she come over here and ball right in his face twice and I'm like and then those other guys come up and said something to her and started yelling at him and that's >> so so it didn't it didn't really seem like disciplinary. It seemed like it was >> the babysitter confirms she is not a relative and was responsible for supervising the boy at the time. >> It was she was right about then she walked around like oh said something I didn't hear. Then she's face went back and it was messed up and then they come up and she's like oh it looks appreciated. >> How uh how are you related to this young man? Do you guys live together? Uh, no. I'm babysitting him. >> Officers detain her, read her rights, and begin verifying her identity and account of events. >> His grandma has the tribes back within an hour. >> No, tomorrow I said it. >> Oh, that's from yesterday when he being bad, climbing around on that thing. >> But that's not for me. I promise you that's not >> I'm going to have you come with me. I'm going to sit you in the back of my patrol car. >> Why? >> You can put the basketball down cuz you're being detained. You're not free to go. Okay. >> Mine's in the back here. >> Okay. >> You have anything on you right now? >> Um, like weapons? >> No. No. >> Go and have a seat. Okay. >> So, you you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can or will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney and have them present while being questioned. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you prior to any questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. You understand that? Okay. I'm just going to have you kick your legs in here. I'm going to sit I'm going to look at my computer for a moment here. We're going to check you. Make sure you don't have warrants and all that. >> What's mom's name and dad's name? >> Okay. Can you go over with me quick exactly what happened with this little boy tonight? >> So, he's coming on top of the fence right there and seen seen me like kind of grab him off the fence cuz he was like on top of the fence. >> Okay. So I grabbed my and told him to sit down. You know, he's he's a so he doesn't listen to me. So I sit him down. He didn't want he didn't want to listen. So I sat him down again. And then that's when that girl and that guy came up to me, tried to fight me. And that guy, he tried to fight me and said he said, "Should I hit you?" He kind of me a little bit. Officers consult with supervisors, citing consistent witness accounts and visible marks on the boy as evidence of inappropriate conduct. >> I guess the issue that I'm having with it is that the lady that confronted you has a different story. The man that was with her has a different story and all these people over here at this skatepark have a different story. You're not telling me the story that lines up with what everybody else is saying. >> No, I grabbed him sit down and he does. So I got up, tried to run away from me. Sorry. I grabbed him. Yeah. Likely back grabs him. Tell him sit down again. >> So, in in what way? >> I got you. Well, he's a little young for that to even matter. >> Hello. I just want to run something by you here what we're dealing with. So, basically, there's a little boy here, very young. I want to say maybe four. Basically, there's a female who says that that baby is her and uh he's got on his face. The the RP and then the RP's like boyfriend came up and said that she them off the fence and then was in the face multiple times and then the basketball off his face a few times. I went over and talked to all the people at the skatepark and they said the same thing and I asked if it looked disciplinary and none of them they said no, that was that was clearly and the evidence shows it. So, I've got that female detained and I think I I plan on arresting her. So, my question is, yeah, I'm I'm in for some reason I'm I'm having trouble finding that statute. I I just wanted to see if I I wanted to look at if you know if if you would think it would be a maybe like a domestic situation, like domestic under under 12 or whatever. Okay. Yeah, cuz I don't I don't know if any of those apply. I think she's merely a babysitter like essentially that I haven't looked into yet. We're still at the very beginning stages of this whole thing, but on the phone with mom and dad right now. >> Yep. Right. >> I got both of their statements. Your mom was supposed to crawling up that fence. Crawling up that tall fence there. Kind of just being mischievous. He and her both. Even when he pulled her away, I talked to her a little more. She >> based on gathered statements and observations, officers determine there is probable cause and proceed with arrest. said, "Yeah, he was trying to find that high fence." She did kind of the ball. >> Okay. So So basically, I went over and talked to all these skate park people and they said, "Yeah, no, they're they that kid 100%." She They said the woman in white peeled him off the fence, hit the face multiple times, bounc off his face three, four times. He's got on his face. Yeah. No, there's no excuse for any of this. This is child abuse and neglect, and she's going to jail. Is she even 21? She's drunk. Do we know the relation of that of that woman to the kid? >> No. Keep an eye on her. I'm going to go talk to her quick. >> Hello. >> Yeah. >> Hey. Um, so what's your relation to the child? >> Um, >> so so >> yeah, >> that's that's the actual >> she has um custody. >> Okay. So she's on her way from Bismar. >> What was your name again? >> She's coming with us. Um, >> she's under arrest for child. Basically, would you feel you're in a position to to watch the kid until grandma can come take >> you to come get him? >> Yeah, she's on her way. >> Okay. >> From Bismar. It's a few It's a couple hours away. Or would you prefer that that we take child with us to the PD until grandma gets here? >> You want to stay with me or do you want to go with them and wait for your grandma here? Stay with me. >> Yeah, I'll just call her then. >> We'll stick around to make sure everything's okay. But that's what's going to happen. Okay. >> Okay. >> How old are you? You're 19K. How much have you had to drink? >> Okay. Sure. Okay. So, what's going to happen is is right now. No. No. You're good. You're not going anywhere. Okay. You're under arrest. Okay. >> For child. >> No. No. >> Listen to me. What you described to me is unacceptable. >> No. >> You cannot treat a baby like that. >> No. No. No. No. I didn't. I didn't. I swear. I swear to my >> Okay. Take a breath here. Take a breath. If you What's going to happen is I've I've taken witness statements. I've made a decision. You're going to have your You're going to have your day. >> We We are not going to be basketballs off kids. We are not going to be Please don't take me. >> She becomes emotional and requests to contact a parent. Officers continue the arrest process and maintain controls. >> Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. I need her. >> Here's what I need you to do. I want you to take a step out with me and face the car cuz I'm going to place you in handcuffs behind your back. >> Talk to your mama, please. >> If you want to make a phone call, we it can be arranged at the jail. >> Take a breath. Come on. Step out with me. >> It's okay. Take a deep breath and keep breathing. Come on. It's okay. >> Yep. You can in a while here. >> Mom, keep it down. Stop messing with me. >> Stop moving. >> Don't make it any worse. Okay. >> Come on. >> Why would they want to move? >> We'll get your phone call at the jail. >> No. I need her number. >> You want me to get all these guys over here? >> I GOT THEM. >> MOM, >> HAVE A SEAT. >> MOM, >> COME ON. HAVE A SEAT. I'll call her over here for you. We're not going to argue it on the roadside. You'll have your damn court. >> OH, MOM. >> COME ON. You have a seat. LET'S GO. >> MOM, come talk to me. Please, >> watch your head. >> PLEASE. MOM, >> WATCH your head. >> Come on. >> Doesn't seem like she wants to chat with you right now. >> Huh? basically. >> What we're going to do is get So, so, so, >> but I said if she's not comfortable with that, he can come and and chill at the at the PD with us until grandma gets here. She said she was going to call grandma and talk to her and all that, too. So, >> just verify that SHE'S OKAY WITH THAT. >> THANKS. Before I take you, I need to know your level of intoxication. I need you to provide a breath sample, please. >> Can I tell her mom? >> Please provide a breath sample for me. Please. >> I don't I don't You can, but I don't know if she wants to. Please blow into this quick so I can get a focus here. >> Officers finalize arrangements for the boy to remain with a responsible adult until a guardian arrives and prepare the suspect for transport. >> Like I said, we're not going to argue it on the roadside. >> You'll have your day in court just like everybody else. >> I know. I know. >> I'll take you. Okay. >> Yeah. Just take a breath. It's going to be all right. >> Here you go. I'm ready for you. Blow a bunch of air in the straw till it clicks. >> Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Harder. Harder. Harder. Harder. Harder. Harder. Harder. Harder. Harder. Okay. Thanks. Appreciate it. Hang tight. >> Mom. Mom. Mom. >> All right. >> What do you have in your pockets right now? It's my money. >> Nothing that you wouldn't want to get caught with at jail. Okay. >> You have a cell phone, wallet, anything on you? >> Okay. All right, let's get it. >> No, I'm just She says you had nothing on her, so I'm curious. Well, you didn't mention you had on you. >> I asked if you had anything you didn't want to get caught with at jail. And you're not old enough. >> Sorry, I failed. Failed handcuffing class. The woman was arrested for offenses related to child abuse and neglect, though the exact statutory charge name is not fully specified. Remember, supervision requires appropriate controlled responses, especially when managing risky behavior in public spaces. Multiple consistent witness accounts can play a key role in how officers assess and respond to an incident. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. Everyone telling the same story made it pretty clear something wasn't right. Glad there were people around to step in and report it quickly. He got feces on the bed. >> On July 10th, 2024 officers respond to a residence after a dispute between a mother and her adult daughter escalates beyond a verbal argument. >> I didn't push a argument or anything with him. >> Hello. >> Hey. Hey. How's it going? Um, what happened? >> My daughter got upset and didn't want us to leave, so she decided to break the door. So, she's been threatening the children and she hit me in the face and uh I don't know what she's doing on the inside. She been to that house up, but >> she's inside the house right now. >> Yeah, >> she's inside the house and we don't The children have been with me. We had an incident uh it's been over a year ago and uh she threatened this child. This one is 18. >> You want to speak to the ambulance real quick? >> You want to get checked out by them? >> No, I'm fine. I'm fine. >> You sure? >> Yeah, I'm fine. >> All right. So, she's inside the house right now? >> She's inside the house. Get in. She may have locked the door. She's in there. and she's got a baby in there, too. >> Officers make contact with the daughter. She claims she was simply trying to speak with her children before they left and says the situation escalated when her mother became aggressive. >> But anyway, she she out of it. We let her stay here and I'm in my other house. So, but >> you know what room her hers is? >> She makes me anyway. She kicked the door down. >> Um, can't ma'am. >> Yeah. Can I have you step right here just in case? >> Yeah. Uh the people uh team came down from Atlanta to see her and then that was an excitation and uh she was arrested. The judge told me to take the children cuz she threatened. She must have been about 11 years 12 then. But anyway, so it been issues ongoing. So we just come over here to check on her. My brother lives here. So I just brought him dinner kind of check on him cuz he can't help it. But he don't need to be here with her. And where is her room normally at? >> Straight back in the back. But she's sitting right there. You know, all these holes and all this stuff she did this to her just broke up everything before. It's been a while back, but we've been to court since that. But stay back. I'm going have to get you some of your information. Okay. >> All right. All right. >> Police department. >> How you doing? >> Hey. So, what's going on today? >> Nothing. >> So, you want to explain the door up front? >> That's my mother. And I was asking her to um about my children. What about my kids? My two girls. I asked them to um she kept rushing to get to the rushing out the door and I'm asking her to see my children, my two daughters for a minute and u she just kept saying stuff to get me I guess aggravated. So she made me rush. So I was talking them to talking them outside in the car to try to you know get what I need to say to them. But she came to the car and after that it just became an argument. >> How did she get the scratches on her face? >> Well I got she scratched I got scratches on me too. My lip kind of like not busted but bad but a little bit up under. She might have pulled on my shirt. >> All right. Yeah. Do you have your driver's license on you or >> you can go and take a seat back on the couch. We'll be right back. Okay. >> Okay. >> Around what time did all this stuff happen? >> As we called you was happening then when we called I don't know. I just found my phone. She threw it across the street. >> Well, whenever you got the call that she was in actively doing all she was doing at that point in time. I don't see where I call. She said Nico was outside. >> Yeah. Little man right there. He's at the door. So, she broke the door. She scratched you. How did Shayla? >> Two minors ages 18 and 13 confirm witnessing the incident. Officers document visible scratches on the grandmother's face and gather statements indicating the daughter tried to prevent the family from leaving and grabbed at the phone while 911 was being called. >> Get the scratches on her arm. >> She was trying to hit me and I was holding her. I mean, I got two witnesses right here. They were all upset, but she was reaching over trying to get my phone and which she finally did and threw it, but she was uh trying to get the phone and so she was hitting me, trying to take the phone. So, I'm trying to hold her back. So, I never hit her one time, but I know I was trying to hold her arm to keep her from, you know, hitting me. >> When was the last time she went for a psyche? >> She won't go. >> She won't go. Okay. >> The last time the judge, and I don't even know how long that's been, it's probably been almost two years. She was supposed to go, she just she didn't go. So, I don't know. She's supposed to eat bad, you know, got another evaluation. She's not done anything that she was supposed to do. She had a psychologist and a psychiatrist. She's not been back to them either. There should be a record somewhere down there about the situation that happened here when the kids came to my car charging. >> So, was the door closed by any chance? >> Door was somewhat open because I was getting ready to get in the car. She was sitting in the car, you know, and then uh when we got ready to leave, she was upset, decided she was going to break the car to so we wouldn't leave and I'm trying to get the kids to safety cuz I we've seen how she can violate. >> So, let me I I just want to make sure I got the timeline, you know, the good understanding of it. You guys are about to leave. >> She comes out here. She pretty much grabs a door, pushes it back to the point where it overextends and breaks off that little bracket. >> Kept doing it. She said, "I'm going to break the door." Okay. So, multiple times doing that. Yes. >> And then once she got it to this point, you were on the phone and she tried to get the phone out um from you, >> right? >> You grabbed her arms and she was trying to grab your phone so she can so you could prevent her from hurting you. >> Right. When she me I'm trying to call 911. >> Did y'all witness this? How old are you? >> 18. >> 18. How old is the one in the back? >> 13. >> 13. Would you say everything I just said has been accurate? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Do you mind if I get your information since you technically are illegal adult for as a witness? Do you mind real quick if I get a couple pictures of your your your face for the little cuts? >> Did you get a little lower lower? Sorry. All right. Thank you, ma'am. Thank you. >> Does she more just have like mood swings or is it just constant? >> Sometimes it's constant. Try not to, you know, say anything. Walk on eggshells trying to hope she'll agree to go back to see Dr. Fleming. I don't think it ain't get no better cuz you just never know when she going to do what she did. The whole house is in a mess because she tore up walls. She's broken up tables and broken china cabinets and china and she just tore the whole house up. So it's like you stay here. I'll go to my other house and stay with the children, you know, cuz they're not supposed to. >> So it's kind of like you walking on edge the whole time around. >> Yes. Yes. And it's got to stop. It's got to stop. She's got to get some help. Like we just can't continue like this. >> Was little guy out here when those this was going on or was he inside the house? >> He was out here. As a matter of fact, she had him with her. She was crying when she picked him up and she still instead of trying to tap the go >> all three children outside. >> The grandmother describes ongoing instability and property damage in the home. She expresses concern about safety and mentions the daughter has not followed through with prior mental health evaluations. >> Yeah. >> Did you get hit by any chance? scratching a little bit. She was um trying to hit her and we was me and my sister trying to break up the fight but she let up and then finally she when she grabbed my grandma phone she flew across the street and came from the road. So that's when she loo >> right now we're going to take her into custody. All right. For battery, family violence, criminal damage to property. How much would you say the damage is? I >> I don't know. I I have no idea. >> Okay. >> What year is this? 21 >> 21 >> this case >> and two counts of um child cruelty in the third. So that case it just means the kid was kids were there. They witnessed it. They observed everything. >> My god son of the cars and provision but he's out of town. He's sending somebody else over here. But if she's here, I cannot leave this here. How here I promise you he'll be down in that pool or it'll be just torn up. But I can't leave it here. But if you take her, then I guess I can leave it and somebody can pick me up. I can pick it up. >> This should be able to drive still. >> Yeah, you're going to >> that door. >> It's not going to sound the greatest. It's going to be off. >> Close. That's okay. BUT IF >> YEAH, it's not going to close. She is going to have I'm going to set this court date for tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. over at Reporter's Court >> for her first appearance. >> Okay. >> I'm going to talk to the state to see if they would recommend mental health court. >> All right. because I understand there there's some people that really needs to help and sometimes they just feel like or sometimes they just need that little extra push. >> This might be that little extra push. All right. >> Last time she went to regular court and that didn't help. >> The daughter pleads her case claiming the damage occurred because her mother drove off while she was standing in the doorway. She denies striking her mother and says she was only trying to speak with her daughters. 30 days and I think the J I forgot what all he said. >> So, >> she really needed my she's a good person and she's always been kind before all of this happened, you know. So, it's >> Hey, so I'll be straight with you. >> Mhm. >> All right. It's not really looking so good at this moment. >> Okay. >> Okay. Can you put a ammo ammo? Is that how you say it? A mo. Can you put Mr. Aiko down? >> Um, this is going to be a little rough. All right. You are going to be coming with me. We have multiple witnesses. Say, hold on. Please, please, please, please, please. >> Can I make one thing? I forgot. The reason why that door pushed open because she with him in my arm and my my daughter was yelling, she started driving off with me standing in the door. That's why the door pushed back. Yeah. That's why with me standing out of nowhere, she put the car in drive and start driving with me in the door twice. >> So, were you physically inside that vehicle? >> Yeah. When she was in the house? when she was in the house, I was sitting in the vis vehicle talking to my daughter. So, I didn't I didn't I didn't push a argument or anything with them. I was talking to them literally about um I think about the phone bill about my phone about the phone bill and about um they was rushing out to go get something to eat when all I said was y'all haven't said anything to me about you know rushing off. Y'all know I normally have to speak to you guys >> about certain stuff and but y'all giving me limited time to like speak to y'all. So, I was just telling them like have courtesy to let me speak to you guys. >> Okay. So, while I'm sitting there doing that, I'm I I really I was No, I asked my mother like could she stop being so aggressive and pushy about leaving without me talking to them. That's what happened. I I was just literally I was asking like this has to stop. like you can't keep running off with them without letting me speak to them. So I never ident throw no hit or anything at her and I was standing. It was what got this the um everything going was when she started pulling off with me. I didn't I matter of fact I had hit her anything. I think it just everything just escalated from me standing in the in the doorway and she pulled off with me with and my daughter yelled out here's the b she got the baby in her hand. >> What side of the car of the door were you? What you mean what side? Behind. >> So, were you on the side that goes into the car or the side on the outside of the car? >> Into the car. What was like like right there standing in the driver's side of the car? >> So, uh at this time, go ahead and stand up for me, please. >> What is I don't have nobody. >> The woman was arrested and charged with battery under family violence, criminal damage to property in the second degree, and two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree. Remember domestic disputes involving physical contact and property damage can quickly result in arrest, especially when children are present. Ongoing unresolved family conflict may require structured intervention before it escalates to criminal consequences. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. The kids witnessing everything made it much more serious. This feels like a long-term family issue that finally boiled over. Once property was damaged and someone was scratched, arrest was almost guaranteed. Think this situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything.
