YOU NEED TO >> HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> ON THE GROUND. >> IT didn't take long for officers to realize something had gone seriously wrong. The condition of the home and the behavior of everyone inside told a clear story, one shaped by choices that had pushed the situation into dangerous territory. >> Moved it on me. >> So, look, right now >> I was just trying to get away. >> Yeah, I'm going to tell you what. Baby, I got to go. That's the only thing I'm thinking about. Me and my baby got to go. >> This is when hero cops enter a house ruined by a mother's dangerous choices. I got up, she >> The male describes a struggle involving a phone and claims the other party initiated contact. Officers assess for visible injuries. >> ran at me and I grabbed her and threw her on the bed. She's like, "Oh, you choked me." I was like, "There's I got a video, there's no not a single mark on her neck." >> Okay. >> I literally was it was it was get away from me. >> Uh-huh. >> Um she she has assaulted me seven times before this. Okay, yeah. >> Leave me alone. >> Officers locate the female adult in a separate area of the home and begin obtaining her account of the incident. >> I got some came down here and went in there with my >> Could you >> with my granddaughter >> Put your hands around my neck. >> Was this in front of the baby or anything? >> No. >> No. >> I told you the baby was asleep. >> Okay. >> I actually left earlier because he was raising so much hell after she started drinking. I was like, you know what? I'm just going to get out of here for a while. And I just got back in and as soon as I got back in >> I think he did. >> I don't think that's right. What is the temperature? >> I didn't kick you out. >> You did. >> Are you sitting right here right now? >> Hold on. Now we're on video, so >> So, are you wanting to charge her? >> I said for all I care. What you do best. >> All right. I said, "Dude, you want a charger? So, we can get out of here tonight." >> I don't know. Give me a minute. Let me see where she went. >> The female states she was grabbed and forced onto a bed, denies wrongdoing, and explains she remained in the home to avoid further conflict. >> Mom, is that her in here? Is she in this room? >> No, she's out in there. >> I heard something in this room. >> Oh, no. There's two people been sleeping in there. >> What? Hey, Vanessa didn't come in there, did she? Yes, officer. >> I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. >> He grabbed me by the throat, threw me on the bed. Of course he has no video of that. So I came down here by his brother. Um his brother allowed me to stay down here and just lay on this couch and go to sleep to get away from him. That's it. I don't want any problems. >> Well, I'm sorry. I don't I didn't mean to knock your elbow off. >> It's >> Officers question both parties about alcohol use and review available video evidence indicating physical contact. You're fine. >> This this is my house. I'm That's why I'm out here. >> Okay. >> So you know that door sealed. It It's one residence. >> So how how did you get here in the first place? >> Because of him, the only way I can be with my 10-month-old son is because of plans he made without asking me. I'm just here to be with my baby. That's it. >> Okay. Have you been drinking tonight? >> No, sir. I'm upset. I have anxiety. Here he goes again forcing me to do this. >> I hear your brother was involved. >> I'm asking to just be left alone. I'm literally for Christmas doing what he wants, abiding by his rules, just to be with my son. >> I've I've seen some seen some videos that he's had and >> Yeah, but he doesn't show you all of them. That's what he does. He shows clips. >> You said that he grabbed you by the throat. Okay. I don't see any marks on you. Okay. But one of the videos is clearly of you assaulting him. >> That's all he shows. That's what he does every time. >> The female expresses frustration and requests to leave while officers clarify that charging decisions depend on the investigation. >> Well, I'm just trying to figure out the the whole picture. That's why I'm here to talk with both parties. >> Don't listen to me if you want to. He only shows what he wants to. He doesn't He never tells the full full truth. So >> I told him I grabbed your phone off the bed as you charged at me. I absolutely told him that. >> I didn't charge at you, Dan. Come on. You're ridiculous. >> I would have [laughter] had you on video but you threw my phone and threw it. >> Yeah, of course you don't have audio. Of course. Right? >> Yeah. >> Cuz you threw my phone. >> Okay. The audio's on there. Whatever you want to do. Would you want to take me out of here, please? I'm not going to argue. I told you what would happen to me. Won't you go arrest that man? >> Well, I came to talk to both of you and it's up to him if he wants to charge you or not. >> Disrespect me. >> Or if mom >> Right. He's His mom is going to stick up for her son, of course. >> Was there anywhere you can go tonight? >> I'm only I live hours away. I'm only down here because he made plans for Christmas. He gave me no option but to come down here if I wanted to see my 10-month-old son and spend Christmas with him. >> Then why do I have custody of him? >> You don't. >> Is there any court pre-trial condition? Pre-trial condition? Do you have any of that paperwork? >> Unfortunately, no. I have to go to court. It's for whatever reason. They get it on the 3rd. >> When do you have >> Um >> Uh no, not the 3rd. >> I have all of it at home. I I It doesn't even I can't keep up with I can't keep up with all of your your trial dates. I really can't. >> going to stay down here. His brother allowed me to stay down here, watch TV, and just go to sleep. >> As I told you, I told her to come down here and go down down here and sleep down here on the couch. >> Mhm. >> There's a big humongous couch over there that's plenty of room for >> You You peed in the trash can over there, Vanessa. You said you Chris told us you said you peed in the trash can. >> Okay. I'm just going to lay down somewhere and sleep it off. >> And that's why I'm down here and not upstairs. >> I'll leave it up to you all. Whatever you want me to do. I'd say it's clear video evidence of an assault, so I mean >> this portion he wants to show. That's what he does. >> I I literally explained to him exactly what happened. >> And the only whatever you want to tell, that's what you do. I'm allowed to stay down here. I just like to watch TV. >> The male provides a written statement. Officers indicate intent to pursue charges related to assault and a possible protective order violation. >> And get the hell away from you. All I want is to please stop. I am talking. >> stop. This is my house. IF YOU WANT TO STAY HERE, FINE. Go in there and lie down and leave the rest of us alone. >> That's what I was doing. >> Okay. You don't get it. >> I just want my baby. That's why I'm here. Hey, did you ever consider my family, my mom, my dad, my my family never even met my son because he wouldn't allow it. >> I'm getting a written statement from you and it's it's I'm getting a written statement from you. And we'll go from there, okay? Is that what you want? >> Do what you want. >> Is that what you want? >> Do what you want, Dan. I just I told you over and over, I just want my son. That's all. I want to spend his first Christmas with him. You want to make my life hell. >> Alcohol is more important just like it was when you were pregnant. I've been getting [ __ ] for a whole year out >> [laughter] >> Yeah. >> And I'm tired. >> I think it's chilly down here. >> Talked to both my therapists. >> Yeah. >> Pay up, Stephen, from two professional therapists. I'm done fighting. Do whatever you want. I give up. I'm just tired of your Go [snorts] ahead and make a statement. I'm tired. I don't want to >> Who's going to be taking care of you? >> I'm Yeah, I'm tired. Do whatever you want. I'm just tired. I'm tired. I'm going to say what you want. I'm tired. Do what you I'm tired. >> Why don't you sit down? That's her problem. >> I'm exhausted, Dan. >> So stop. Just stop. >> I'm tired. >> You could have came here and had a good Christmas. You made the decision. MAKE IT HAPPEN. >> MY SON TO MEET MY family for the first time. >> to take him. I have no >> reason. >> Yes, sir. Yes, I'm sorry. Okay. >> Court documents say you >> It's what you want. Go ahead, write what you want. I'm tired. >> No, no, for the last 6 months >> Okay. Put me in jail. Okay. Okay, Dan. Okay. That's what you want. >> on you. >> That's what you want. >> I'm leaving, Dan. Do you have an idea? >> Please. >> That's what you want. >> You think that's what I want? >> It's what you're doing. At the moment, okay? Just go take a seat in there again, okay? And then we'll get everything straightened out, okay? So, I'm not going to listen to arguing all night. >> When I opened the door, she slammed it open and then refused to leave. He kept demanding all of her stuff and I said, "I will not let you go upstairs until she had uh and get her stuff until she would outside." And we just sat there and I was talking to him for 10 minutes going back and forth. Um >> My dogs are going crazy. >> My dogs are going crazy, yeah. >> She's over there? >> Yeah. >> You You can shut the door for right now. I'll be in a second. >> I just walked and went back over there. Last thing I want to do is have problems on Christmas. >> Officers informed the female she is under arrest, explained the charges, and begin the custody process. >> That's all right. I'm about to take care of them. Get a written statement from them. She's going to get charged with violation of protective order and so >> Rufus, answer it. Rufus. >> You got a jacket? You got shoes? Where are your shoes at? >> Upstairs. >> Upstairs? >> to my flight. I just >> Okay, we'll get it. Don't worry, we'll get it. >> I really just need my laptop and my suitcase. >> Okay, well, here's what's going to happen, okay? You are under arrest. >> For what? >> Assault and violation of protective order. >> What assault? >> The assault that you hit him when he had the phone, okay? >> He admitted to you he choked me and threw me on the bed. So, when >> The female requests personal belongings. Officers coordinate retrieval of items while maintaining control of the scene. >> I said he choked you. >> Huh? >> He did not say he choked you. Said he moved you out of the way. >> No, he told me he admitted to you he grabbed me by the throat and threw me on the bed. >> He did not. >> Hey, you told me you told the officer you grabbed me by the throat and threw me on the bed. He's telling me you didn't say that. >> I said you rushed at me. I grabbed you and >> I didn't rush at you. In what space? Did you grab me by the throat and throw me on the bed? Yes or no? >> Vanessa. >> I grabbed you and threw you on the bed. I grabbed you and threw you on the bed. >> Vanessa. >> Did you grab me by the throat? >> Vanessa. >> Listen, I just need my work laptop. I have an appointment at 9:00 in the morning. >> Look. Okay? >> Officer. >> Well, I'm telling you what's happening right now, okay? You are under arrest, okay? I told you. I told you. >> for my stuff. That's it. I literally just asked for my stuff. I have video. There was no confrontation. I just wanted my belongings. >> say a second confrontation happened, okay? >> So, why am I under arrest? >> I was called down here for the second time within 30 minutes, okay? >> wanted my stuff. That's all. I don't want confrontation. >> I don't care. I don't care. We're not going to argue about this, okay? We're not going to argue about this. That can be argued in court. And if you want to charge him, you can. You just have to go to a magistrate, okay? But right now, we are going to go to a magistrate. All right? Get your jacket on. We're going to get your shoes, and you're coming with me. >> So, and everything's upstairs. I just >> get it. We're going to get it. >> Officers secure the female in custody, address her requests for essentials, and prepare for transport. >> So, I just really want my stuff. >> We're going to get it, okay? Get up. Go ahead. >> Well, you didn't even call you guys. His mom did. And really, I just want all my stuff. >> Okay. Well, go ahead and put your jacket on. >> It's upstairs. >> Is that not your jacket? >> No. >> That's my jacket there. >> Oh, okay. >> Literally, everything I own is upstairs. >> Huh? >> It's cold. I have no shoes or jacket. >> You walked out there earlier. We're going across. >> my suitcase out. >> We're going across. Okay. Just step right in there. Kathy, please stop. >> put it Hey, hey, your son is 47 years old. Please stop. >> Dan. >> Can I have my shoes and my jacket and my work laptop? That's it. >> So, this is part of the the buffers. She she cannot process what she's being told right now. >> Whatever you want. Dan. >> It's on the broken left side of the left side, so >> I just want my stuff. What confrontation? You can hurt me all you want. I'm the one getting arrested. I just want my stuff. That's it. >> I'll go try to find shoes, but other than that, your stuff is sitting outside. Can you copy >> Could you just put it out, my suitcase? Only >> I didn't magically >> I mentally can't deal with this man. >> Officers conclude the scene, discuss follow-up procedures, and [snorts] note the case will be forwarded for further review. >> You want to walk up here? Right in the middle? Or I'll go wait on shoes. >> Is there any way I can at least have a moment to switch this off my left shoulder? My I swear, Officer, go upstairs. My My laptop bag is upstairs. That's That's >> That's That's what I mean about she can't >> I'll take that. No. Give it to me. Okay. >> I don't understand why you couldn't give it just give it to me. I don't understand why I had to be arrested before I got my stuff. Hey. Give me my stuff. I just want my >> Hold on. >> Please. >> What's that? You said you had a video, too? We'll watch it. Okay. Step back over there. I'm going to look in here to see if we can find you a jacket so you can put a jacket on. >> I don't understand why I had to get arrested before I got my stuff. I literally keep showing the police officers all I was asking for was my stuff. So again, Cathy, tell me, why did the police have to get involved before I got my stuff? >> Why? >> Because >> I just wanted my stuff. I have an appointment at 9:00 a.m. >> And I told you >> The damn told me step outside. And what happened last time I did? He locked me out. >> You're free to go to the other side of the house. >> Why? I needed my stuff. I don't trust you. Why couldn't you just bring my stuff down? You just want to see me get arrested. >> Is that your jacket? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Actually, can you open up for me? Hold on. Can you check my purse for my SAR keys cuz he stole them before. So, these are my medications. Can I bring them with me? >> Yes, you're going to bring all this. Is that it? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> He just literally wanted my stuff. It's my Hey, you got what you want. You got my kid. Congratulations, man. I literally just wanted my stuff. >> I'll get these. >> I hope Daniel loves Scotty. >> It'll work. >> Daniel will love Scotty and we will >> I can't hear you. I have to go to >> I just want to >> Have you wanted to meet? I don't know. If you want to go ahead and take her to the office. >> Yeah. >> Congratulations to tell my son you're both amazing. >> Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. What you Going to send me cuffs. I mean, but you can see the mental illness, right? >> Yeah. >> Unfortunately, the state of Virginia uh the law goes comes before mental wellness. So, I know how this works and you know, it'll be a charge. >> I know the charge. >> Well, the only time it's going to be the mental illness is if she says she's going to say if she's going to hurt others. >> Mhm. >> That's the only time they do anything. >> Yeah, we know. >> Which is wild. >> Uh yeah, I >> It's it's >> It makes no sense. >> Um but >> Oh God, shut up. >> I I completely understand. It's a messed up system. This gets sent to our domestic violence officer. So, they'll most likely be in contact you whenever he gets back, which he's going to be out of the office until like the 20th. >> I will be out of here. So, I I don't know how this is going to work. >> Well, I just talked to you over the phone. >> No, like with with her cuz she That's one of my asthma problems. Uh so, while she has a license, it's a restricted license uh due to a DUI. So, she can't rent a car and drive home. >> I don't know. >> I'm telling you she can't rent a car and drive home cuz she has to have a breathalyzer. >> Well, >> and you know, no car rental place will give her a car. >> She's going to have to figure that out. I mean, I was at the magistrate just 5 days ago uh back home >> Mhm. >> talking to him and he's like, "She sounds incredibly manipulative. It sounds like you've done a lot to help her and tried to do everything you could." He's like, "You shouldn't feel bad anymore cuz he's like, you you've done everything you can. Like, it gets to a point." >> The female adult was arrested on charges including assault and violation of a protective order. Remember, domestic disturbance calls often rely on separating parties and gathering statements from both sides before action is taken. Physical confrontation and prior legal conditions can significantly affect charging decisions during police responses. This is the reaction of netizens to this situation. Good to see officers separating everyone to keep things calm. Situations like this are complicated when both sides have different accounts. Body cam footage really shows how much officers have to sort through. Think this situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. The next incident is when police save family after raging mom's fight spirals out of control. >> Hello, don't bring the kid into this, man. >> But she slapped the >> I already not even talk to her. You got to tell me. >> Why did you bite his arm? >> I said it was my first time. >> You're a control freak. >> Okay, acting like a maniac, cursing, screaming. Read you your rights and then talk to you, though. >> Okay. >> You said anything Do me a favor, step out of the vehicle, okay? >> You're not in trouble. You're not in trouble. >> Do you understand your rights? Officers attempt to issue a citation and request her identification details. >> By waving you guys down and like that? >> I don't know what she was waving me down for, but we was arguing. She was cursing me out and calling me all kinds of >> Okay. So you noticed the phone she's waving you down and you still didn't >> No, I didn't notice the phone. We did not notice the phone. We drove off and left. We were already going out the parking lot coming down Beltway before we even knew anything about the phone. There's no miss calls on that phone and nothing. I'm on Facebook right now. >> Okay. >> No, it's all about what happened. >> record anything that happened? >> No, not at all. >> Where is the phone at? >> It's in the car. It's >> Can you point it out to me? So this is her phone? So where where you said that you was you was hurt? >> She bit me right here on my arm. >> Where at? I was walking from my truck to the casino. When I was in the casino, I come out the bathroom and then go out the door and he was following me going out the door and he was going walk to my truck. I won't want and he's following me. He's like, "Come on with me. Just talk to me." I was like, "I don't want to talk to you." He's like, "Keys, you know, leave me alone." Or my battery is in my truck. Leave me alone. Well, he's like, "You don't want to work this out?" I said, "No, just let me go." And then start taking my purse. I said, "Here, you want want 20? Just take everything." And I thought he was trying to take my keys, but he took my cell phone and my purse. >> So, you threw your purse out? >> Yeah, I said, "Here, take it all. He's a control freak. >> Okay. So, >> Now you're kind of changing it up on me. So, first you're telling me you're throwing the purse out, and now you're telling me you're biting his arm. >> I did. I went down and I bit his arm, and then I threw the purse out. >> Was he trying to take the purse from you? >> Yeah. He was reaching all in it trying to dig in it. She thinks I'm trying to hit her. I'm like, "Bro, I keep telling everyone around her that I'm not trying to hurt nobody." I told her, "My kid and I want to leave. I want my kid and I want to leave." You can look at all the videos. That's all I'm saying the whole time. I just want my baby. She's like screaming out of her lungs like, "Oh, he's trying to kill me and stuff." I'm like, "Bro, I just want my baby." That's all I'm just grabbing the baby. And then some other guy comes in and he threatens to kill me cuz I'm trying to defend myself. So, we go outside. He's like, "Yo, I have a gun. kill you if something happens." And then that's when I'm like I think I'm going to have to run out of here. I got to take my baby. I got to go. That's the only thing I'm thinking about. Hey, my baby. I got to go. You know, I know it's not the best situation. It's either way it's going to look like kidnapping, but that's the only way I can have my baby with me, bro. Like that's what I'm going to do at the end of the day. I'm a grown man. >> I got you. >> What I do? There you go. >> So, the issue is another issue is when you go and try and snatch or not snatch, uh, try and and your kid out of her hands, right? You start fighting over the baby. You're pulling on the carrier. It starts turning into a little bit of neglect. You're putting the kid into danger there, right? I understand you're trying to get your kid back because you're trying to do what's best in your mind for what for the kid, but you're still causing other issues with that. So, I understand she was >> Officers informed the man he will be taken to jail due to the reported actions and collected statements. They secure his belongings and confirm the infant is safe with the woman. >> She's telling us that she she was also trying to leave with the kid. Um the thing is when it comes to parents, we're not in the business without a court order of taking custody and giving to the other. >> Okay. >> So, the custody of the child in that moment wouldn't have been outside of something that you guys need to figure out on your own non-violently. The issue is it got escalated too violently when we started doing all the other stuff, right? We still have all the other issues that were created along the way. I understand and I'm sympathetic towards you're the father. You want what's best for your child, and you were just trying to >> I know this is dumb decisions, but I don't know. >> Well, at the end of the day, it's the decisions that get us where we are, right? You want me to tell you exactly how this is probably going to happen? We're going to go to VRC. We're going to go to the jail. We're going to get you booked because while I might be sympathetic to your issues, you still did break laws along the way. And those laws I mean, we got to take care of that. And this is something that's got to be fixed. Make better decisions in the future, right? So, I'm sure what will happen after that is you'll have a court case, and you can argue your side, and they can decide where to go from there. But right now, we have what we have. We have at what everybody in there is saying, and we have the videos that were given to us. So, we have to proceed based on what we know right now, and everything else can come later with the courts and with lawyers and more of your side. >> I understand. Thank you. >> All right. Anything else you want to say? Any other questions? All right. Well, we got a little bit of a >> She's okay. >> She's okay. >> Your baby's okay. >> I think she's asleep right now. Okay, and then fast forward to yesterday to yesterday evening after school. What happened as you were going kind of towards Sevco? Did it happen Did it start here? Did it start there? >> See, that was kind of the the problem. My English teacher, I was talking to her after class about our assignment or whatever, and I I knew I was probably going to miss my bus. My bus is usually the first one here. My mom doesn't have a problem coming pick me up or you know. >> Got you. >> So, I called her and I said, "I'm sorry, you know, I missed the bus." So, I was talking to my English teacher and she's like, "Okay, it's fine." So, I walked to the gas station, I'll get you there. And that's what I did and I started taking the sidewalk. But it started healing the bus ramp and I kind of noticed her walking back and forth, maybe you know, kind of scoping out the area because there wasn't so many teachers outside and I was kind of worried that she might be trying to do something like with her friends because they did talk about jumping and stuff like that. And then also after I had switched out of the class, a girl that I had in that class, she had let me know she said, "After you had gotten switched out," she said, "this girl was talking about beating you up in class, her and this girl talking about she'll beat you up and she'll fight you." And the teacher basically, you know, told her to shut it down and was knocking it off, you know. He's like, "Why are you don't even you don't even know this girl. She's not even here, you know, she already moves out of this class because of you. I mean, like what more do you want out of this?" >> Right. >> So, yeah, I kind of noticed her, you know, following me around or whatever. So, I immediately got on the phone with my mom. I was like, "Mom, I'm worried, you know, like I don't know what they're trying to do, you know, these insane girls that have been bothering me." She's like, "Okay." She's like, "Just She's like, just walk away. Walk away." That's what she told me, you know, "Just walk away." >> Okay. >> And so, that's what I did. I kept walking and they started yelling things out the window. >> They were in a car? >> Yes, they were in a car. They actually had somehow caught up to me with the the crazy traffic. Yeah, I don't know if you know about the traffic. >> Oh, I That's how I do. I do. >> Like you can barely even get out of the parking lot. >> Yeah. >> But they somehow caught up to me. I was almost walking into the gas station parking They somehow caught up to me within traffic and started yelling things out the window. I couldn't clearly hear >> Was it her yelling out the window or was it somebody else? That was voice. >> It was the girl she was with. >> Okay. >> And I don't see I don't know any of these kids that I barely her name Right. Are you a you're a senior this year? Okay. Right. >> The victim expresses fear, anxiety, and feeling unsafe at school. She states she previously reported the bullying but felt it wasn't taken seriously. >> Right. Okay. [clears throat] And then what happened after they surrounded you and Where was your mom at during this? So, you you're following me." >> Got you. >> I can't even safely walk home from school. >> Right. >> And I'm not even from here. [clears throat] >> So, after you guys started fighting did Oh, you're okay. When you guys started fighting do you remember kind of how the fighting went down? Was it like standing back like boxing? Was it like grabbing each other? What how how was it? >> Yeah, it was definitely hair pulling and >> Hair pulling? Was there any closed fist, open hands, things kicks, saying things wrong? >> Definitely threw some punches at her. Threw some punches. I will admit that, but I >> Do you have any injuries that you're aware of? >> I I feel a little sore I guess from biting. >> Right. You didn't notice any bruises, cuts, anything like that? >> No, my I think just from her pulling my hair kind of my neck hurts. >> It's sore. Okay. Did you go to get checked out or anything? >> No. >> How did you guys end the fight? Did you guys just like separate? Did somebody pull you off? >> Um some workers came out and she said everyone needs to everyone needs to stop and she said we're all getting trespassed if you come here again. So, I they got in their car and we got in ours and I we left. I didn't I mean I knew there would be police involved obviously because it was off school property. >> Right, right. >> But again, I feel I came to the school and asked for help. >> When you said that the worker separated you guys, where was your mom at during that? >> I believe [clears throat] she was maybe behind us fighting. >> Was she trying to pull you guys off or anything? Was she saying anything? >> She has a broken wrist at the at right now at the moment. So, she's she's she's like I I didn't know what to do. >> Okay. >> I mean, she was scared they were trying to jump me. She said that's what it looked like whenever she she pulled up and she She's like, "It looked like those boys were trying they were going to hit you, you know?" She thought those boys were going to start jumping me with you know that girl or whatever. >> Yeah. >> And yeah, that's I mean, it all happened so fast that like it was I really I even feel you know like uncomfortable to be here today because her friends were talking about you know they girls and whatever and I'm like >> So, when when you guys when you guys left, did you guys go home after that? >> Yeah. >> Did you think to call the sheriff's office or >> mom wanted to, but she figured, you know, like it it was going to be something within the school, but then we kind of thought about it and we Yeah, we're like, "No." So, that's why we came in here this morning and they kind of talked to us and they're like, "Well, we don't really know, you know, if that's going to be >> He wanted all documents, Mr. Allen. >> Was Deputy Lynn up there when you guys were talking with any of the school staff? >> Um, the school resource officer >> The school resource >> talking with you guys or anything? Okay. I think those are all the questions that I have for you. Anything that you think that you should tell me that you left out or anything, anything important? >> No. Just that, you know, I feel really I don't even really want to be here at this school anymore, you know? >> Okay. >> I mean, I >> That's okay. And that'll be something that you'll have to discuss with your mom and obviously with school staff and stuff about. I'm just here for the off >> Police locate the suspects at a residence. When officers arrive, they attempt to make contact. >> campus hustle that you guys are in. >> I feel super unwelcomed, you know? >> Yeah. Well, if you don't have any other questions, you can start filling that out to the best of your information. If you don't have your license on you or anything. >> What I told you. >> Yep. If you have any questions, you can let me know. I'll be here. >> Contact protocol. She just looked at me and ran back in the house. >> Yeah, they both just took off cuz there was somebody sitting on the couch. >> Um, they took off to the left over here and one of these mornings I don't know if they're going to go in the back >> There's a bedroom. I can see through the back to the back glass, but >> Really? >> I'll back SANTA ROSA SHERIFF'S OFFICE IS COMING TO THE DOOR. HE'S STEPPING right here with this deputy. >> What's going on? >> You have a warrant for arrest, ma'am. >> For my arrest? >> Yes, ma'am. Put your hands >> Put my hands behind my back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I'm not breaking. For what? >> For battery. >> Um, I'm You know my name? >> Anastasia Fuller. Not Fuller, Anastasia Pompus. >> For battery? >> Yes, ma'am. And But daughter is also >> That's my mom. Come here. Battery >> Battery on who? >> The [ __ ] Battery on who? >> The dumb Sit down right there and I'll explain it to you. Thank you. For that fight, you guys got to end up at Safeco. There's a warrant for both of your arrest. >> Why for me? >> Didn't I? We got a warrant with your name on it. >> No. >> Yes. >> No, I was not involved in anything. >> 100%. So, you're both going to jail for battery. >> For battery? >> It's child actually cuz she's a minor. >> I didn't touch anybody. >> Not saying you touched anybody. >> So, why does she have a warrant? >> But you have a warrant for >> Why do I have a warrant? Since Why was the warrant >> This is all starting the warrant. >> Okay, my wrist is broken and there was no reason for you to grab me like that. >> Well, you decided you're going to push off of me. >> I didn't push off of you. I have a camera right here. >> You technically You technically committed battery on a law enforcement officer when you touched me. >> No, I did not touch him. >> Yes, you did. >> The mother resists slightly during the arrest, arguing with officers and claiming injury. The daughter attempts to flee inside, but is apprehended. >> It's on my camera. >> I have the I have a camera, too. >> Yeah, it's going to show you grabbing his wrist. >> There was no reason for that. >> Well, whenever I tell you to give me your hands and you push off Okay, sit down. Let's go to the car. >> Nobody was resisting. >> Well, you ran, so you were not supposed to resist. >> Because I what the >> She said order my car. >> Just calm down. >> Just grab your stuff. Thank you. >> Okay, I want my shoes, actually. >> We're a little past that point. Well, you ran, so I'm not very inclined to help you right now. You know what I'm saying? >> Because because when when you when cops like you charged in my house >> Because you have a felony warrant and you ran. Do you have anything in your pockets? >> Felony warrant? >> Yes, ma'am. You have a felony warrant. >> Both are taken into custody. Officers explain they are being charged due to their involvement in the fight, including encouraging or participating in the altercation. >> Child abuse at Safeco, just like I explained to you earlier. >> Cuz I was harassed for months. For months. >> Sit down. Thank you. You touched him. You grabbed his wrist. >> No, I didn't. >> Now, walk. >> He grabbed my wrist and said my wrist is broke. >> Walk. >> Just tell Steven to um come get me, Steven. >> Ma'am, I need you to Ma'am, I'm asking you politely to walk, please. >> Okay. Can you take the cuffs off me? >> I can't take them off you, but we can check them and make sure they're not too tight. >> My right wrist is broke. Last time I talked to him, my right wrist is broke. >> I get that. We can check them, make sure they're not too tight, and then double lock them so they don't tighten for you. >> Can I get on this side? >> You're going to get in the car as soon as she's done. Yes, ma'am. >> Help my mom in here with me. >> You guys are going to jail together, don't worry. You're welcome. >> Going to text Steven. Okay, you don't have to worry about that. >> So, they both have warrants. I don't know what they looks like it's a child abuse warrant. Both of them have it. They're going to go up to Santa Rosa County Jail. Um I didn't do the investigation. I can't tell you much more than that, okay? >> Sir, where did this happen? >> Supposedly, it was theft, too. >> Where is that? >> Um over there near the high school. >> So, >> That's >> What is this all about? >> From what I understand, there was a fight between the younger girl, Asia, and somebody else. >> So, who filed the complaint? >> I guess it the other girl's mom, cuz the other girl was supposedly a juvenile. She's under the age 18. Asia's over the age 18. She's an adult in that situation, so that's why she's being charged with the child >> Could I go talk to the mom? >> Give us 1 second. They're kind of being a little bit belligerent with us, cuz she did grab the other deputy when he went to go put handcuffs on her. That's a big no-no. So, and they'll be given chances to make phone calls. Yeah, I guess the other girl filed a complaint and through their investigation, they determined they were both involved in on it. >> How long are they going to be in >> I mean, technically, if they've got bonds, they can be bonded out almost immediately. Um which means you pay a certain amount of money and you can go and get them out. Yeah, you can. If you go through a bondsman, look up a bondsman, you typically give them 10% of whatever the bond is, and they take care of the rest. So, you can find any bondsman you want. There's several are in the area. They can explain it better than I can, okay? >> I thought we were going to make entry. I knocked, the juvenile or the 18-year-old the one who looked at me, took off. I started beating on it. Yeah, two felonies. Juvenile and mom got felony warrants. Mom answered the door and said beautiful stand by her stand with his dusty. Give me your hands you're under arrest. She pushed off me. So me and Barry jumped on her. 18-year-old swings the door open. I go to grab her cuz she's got a warrant. She takes off inside and me and Barry went in after and she's kicking, screaming, fighting the whole way, pushing on us, so. >> How old How old is he? >> 18 and mom's like 42. Yeah, they're both adults. They're going to jail. Let's go. Teenage The 18-year-old jumped out on a girl at Safeco and mom's sitting there cheering her on. She said tell grandma Roxy to come and bail her out and get the money back. >> How long How long they going to be in there? >> They can bond out. I mean it's $5,000 bond on each count, so. >> 5,000? >> Yeah, they normally takes them like 5 or 6 to come out of the booking process of 5 or 6 hours they can bond out. But I called him cuz I thought we were going to boost the door because nobody was coming and then mom just showed up. >> Like >> I didn't think mom was going to come and answer. >> Well, you you must have seen her and that's who took off. >> So mom was sitting in the couch watching TV. I knocked, she never turned and the juvenile like just appeared in the window or not juvenile 18-year-old appeared in the window and they took off to the bedrooms. It's 5,000 for each of you. They did you 5,000 on one count of child each and the gentleman in the red is on >> The 18-year-old was charged with battery against a minor. The mother was also charged due to her involvement in the incident. Both had active warrants and were arrested on the scene. Each received a bond around $5,000 per charge with the case proceeding to court. Remember bullying that isn't addressed early can escalate into physical violence. Adults getting involved, especially encouraging fights, can make legal consequences much worse. This is the reaction of netizens to this situation. The mom made it 10 times worse instead of stopping it. This is what happens when bullying goes unchecked. Feel bad for the victim. She tried to avoid drama. You think this call can't get worse? The body cam captures the exact second officers rush in comment if you felt that spike.
