steal your man. >> Well, what what's your name? >> Hello, I'm officer of city pray police. You have ID on you or anything? >> Just my phone. >> Just your phone? >> Telling you, are you still going to miss them and he can't let you go? >> We've all encountered some unforgettable characters at Walmart, but some take things to a whole new level of chaos. In today's episode, we uncover the wildest moments when shoppers ditch common sense and flirt with disaster. These cases prove what happens when people step into Walmart thinking the rules don't apply to them. >> On March 31st, 2023, officers attempted to stop a vehicle traveling unusually slow. The driver, a woman, refused to pull over despite obeying traffic signals and driving at only 20 mph. 15 dispatch checks. Be with that David John Victor 3324. David John Victor 3324. He pulled to a side of the road. We're now heading westbound on Liberty. Not rate of speed. He just won't stop. Yeah. Currently following. Like I said, no rate of speed. Made a right northbound on Beaver. 85. >> That's clear. Dispatch, we're going about 20 mph northbound on Beaver, passing nic. >> Show me your hands. Show me your hands. The female driver named Asian continued northbound, ignoring commands to stop, but not driving recklessly. Officers considered deploying spike strips. >> He's taking off again. >> They're continuing junction >> northbound 15. Mike >> 15 dispatcher northbound. female driver, Asian. It's clear we're just coming up to the point now. She's still obeying the traffic lights. She just won't stop. Yeah. I mean, we could probably spike it. We're northbound on Burbank. Passing the 1500 block westbound Highland >> driver. >> Police finally cornered her at Burbank and Highland. They ordered her to exit, broke the car window, and took her into custody after some resistance. >> Show me your hands. out the car. Out of the car. >> She's still got Put the car in park. Put the car in park. Put the car in park now. >> Car in park. >> Car in park. There's a lot of glass. Hold on just a second. >> Get up. Out. Out. The woman had visible marks, possibly from broken glass. Officers searched and secured her, noting she made the process unnecessarily difficult. >> Lots of marks over. I don't know if that was from the glass or not. May mean very okay. >> We'll just go ahead and search her here. >> Um, we'll cut it. >> Yeah. Stop. Stop. Okay. She's let go. Look, >> you're doing things the hard way, just so you know. She got anything in that pocket? I did not check. >> Officers discussed her past behavior, suggesting this wasn't her first incident of fleeing from police. >> She's clear. Get her in a cruise. >> I don't know what her deal is. I have no deal. She just does this. Is she she get intoxicated? Let's put her in. We'll put her other side if we can. Get in. Take a seat. Seat. You good? Yeah. >> Police contacted her husband, informing him that she was under arrest and that her car might be towed. He agreed to meet them at the scene >> just out of nowhere. You know, >> did the same thing last summer >> with her? >> Yeah. >> Do that to me. Please get out my personality. >> Cancel 99 or go back. Hello, sir. Your wife is my van, correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, we need um I could probably give you a ride if you have no one else here to give you a ride. She's she currently just got arrested. >> We're She's stopped at Burbank and Highland right now. If you need a ride, I could give you a ride to come get the car or else they're going to tow it. >> They were in a pursuit with her. She's arrested right now. Okay. >> Okay. >> I don't know all the details. I wasn't in it. But that's what I know. And we're just before we tow the vehicle, I came up here to try and stop and get you since I was around the corner to see if you'd want. Is >> she still at at the car or is she already >> I know she's in handcuffs. I if she's, as far as I know, she's still on scene and hasn't been taken to jail yet. But I imagine, you know, that's where she will be going. >> Oh god. >> Now, if you would like, I can give you a ride unless you have someone else that's with you. >> Yeah. >> Um, can you give me a ride out there? >> Yeah, I can give you a ride. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Perfect. I'll be right out. anywhere. >> What are you going to do? >> Yep. She wouldn't stop. Your gloves are tagged. >> She's known to do that. >> Yeah. I mean, what are you going to do? I figured rather than play this game, I just stop right to 41. >> I tried. >> 41. If I was him, he'll probably need a blanket. He's got a broken window now. Okay. >> How many times we've had to do that? >> Well, yeah. She's known for that. >> Um, do you want to pull this around the corner? >> Uh, he's supposed to be on his way, so bring him here. >> Officers explained that spike strips weren't used because she likely would have continued driving on flat tires. They noted she had no valid driver's license since 2010. >> Just let him take it home. >> Look at me. I figured there's no point in spiking it cuz she'll just drive on them rims all the way home. >> Did she hit you or did she stop? >> No, she stopped. >> That's not in policy, but this is a special circumstance. I knew she wouldn't stop. Um, sir, you may want before you shut the door, you may want to bring a blanket. Sounds like they busted out the window and there's going to be glass. So, if you have a blanket or some thick padding you could put down to sit on that, just so you're aware, sir, just so you don't sit on glass and cut yourself. Okay. >> Any alcohol or anything in the car? >> So, obviously the pursuit failure staff and stuff >> license has expired since 2010. >> Her license had expired for over a decade. Yet, she continued driving. Officers confirmed she was being taken to county jail. >> She hasn't had it in a while. I don't know why she still gets a car. >> Um, probably just take her down. I mean, take her down to the county. >> Poke her in. >> She usually drinks. >> I don't think she does. She's just She's just there eating out of it if you >> never cooperated. >> I remember Rob smashed her window like last summer, the summer before. >> Yeah. I think >> she ran into Maurice's car. I think she's just out there. >> Yeah. I've never noticed she's been a drinker or not. >> I didn't smell any alcohol. >> She's just 74. I thought she was going to take off again. I'm like, "Oh, here we go." >> Well, I I positioned angled in front of her down at uh Bowman and Beaver. She went around the block basically and uh well around a few blocks, but yeah, she just I didn't I still gave her an out and she took it. I was surprised. >> And then you probably just put it in. That might be his husband now. >> Oh, that'll work. Yep. He's too. >> All right. Never mind then. I'll get some pictures. >> She's not under the arrest warrant or anything, is she? >> Actually, they just took her to jail. Yes, she is under arrest. >> The husband revealed she often hides car keys to keep driving despite being told not to. He also mentioned she is mentally ill and can become violent when agitated. >> Warren is a warrant or >> No, they were in a pursuit with her. Oh god. As to why they had to stop her right here like this. >> You go ahead and take the car. Um, she doesn't have a license. How is she still getting cars? Does she have access to the keys to these cars or >> Yeah. Yeah. I think she hide a key. You know, >> she hides a key. >> Yeah. >> Great. you know. >> Oh, well, if the key is still in it, I would hide that one. >> Okay. >> And keep the keys out of out of her reach cuz this keeps happening with her. >> Yeah. >> Pass. So, >> you know, you know, you know when I when I keep the key, I put the brake on the on the car, she she she want to destroy my car. >> Oh, she she's a mentally ill. >> Yeah, I know. >> That's that's the problem. I just couldn't tell her, you know, stop driving. But, >> you know, just getting crazy, you know, and Yeah. And sometimes she going to stop me as well, you know. I mean that's you know she when she getting crazy you know when I >> she gets violent. I know that. >> The woman was officially charged with failure to obey a traffic control device and fleeing and eluding. Running from the law only makes things worse sooner or later. The truth catches up. Respecting authority can prevent chaos and protect everyone involved. If you like this video, please sign up for law zone to receive more. Look out for the next Karen who will react even more aggressively. >> They told me they told me my wife needed. >> Come here. Stand up. Stand up. >> On May 4th, 2025, officers were called to an airport disturbance involving a woman who became aggressive towards Spirit Airlines staff after her flight was delayed due to air traffic control issues. over here. Um >> got delayed. I got delayed. Uh it was like a traffic controlling weather ended up coming back closer to time. Push >> 14 also 97 like that. >> Give me one second. I promise I'll >> promise >> one. Okay, that's okay. >> Um then she started taking pictures of us. Um we're not going to repuck >> videos >> videos. Okay. >> Um, >> are you interested? >> And you're gay as [ __ ] I am gay. So, cool. Great story. Um, discriminatory and that's not what we're going to have to say. >> Okay. >> When questioned by police, she claimed she was treated rudely and denied boarding unfairly. Spirit Airlines informed officers that she was barred from flying due to her unruly behavior and possible intoxication. >> Um, what did you get in an argument with them about? >> I still want to go home. >> Okay. Why did you not get on the flight? Did it already leave? >> They've been rude to me. >> They've been rude. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> You're recording everything, right? So you can see the video previous. >> I don't have a camera in front of me right now looking at it. That's why I like started to talk to. >> That's why I'm asking you your side so I can hear what your point of view is. >> Right. And I was like, "Hey, excuse me." Blah blah blah. Okay. Yada yada. >> And can I go? They said that you're not flying because you're intoxicated or was it because you got upset? >> You know, >> neither were. >> Neither. Why did they say you couldn't fly? >> Uh, ask them. >> Okay. I talked to them. I'm asking you what they said. Why they said you couldn't fly? >> You don't remember? >> No, I'm trying to uh I came here in a rush. >> Okay. Me, too. In a rush. >> Okay. I was like, "Hey, I'm trying to get to New York." And they started treating me badly. >> Okay. >> Does it? >> Well, at this point, they said that you're not going to fly with Spirit. >> Officers explained she could book another flight with a different airline, but Spirit would not allow her to fly with them. The woman became increasingly upset over losing her $300 ticket. >> Rules should break >> a different flight. >> No, >> my opinion doesn't really help either way. So, you're not flying with Spirit. You can book a different airline with another book >> with another flight to New York. >> Paid $400 to fly with them. >> Okay. >> They got delayed twice. >> Yes. >> Trace and then it came in the right time. >> Okay. >> But >> I hear I hear what you're saying. >> And I'm telling you now that they're not going to let you fly. >> So you can get back on the shuttle and go back to the main terminal >> and you can book with a different airline on the nonsecure side. But right now, you don't have a ticket. >> You don't have a flight. >> And send me somewhere. >> I don't have a reason to do that right now. >> I don't have a reason to do that somewhere. >> Officers attempted to calm her and escort her to ground transportation to help her rebook elsewhere. She was briefly compliant but remained argumentative. >> All we're trying to do is just be selected. I didn't even get your name. What's What's your name? >> Nothing matter. Can I walk? >> Yes. Yes, you can. Go ahead. >> That's not the way out. Where's the way out? Okay. She cry. >> My bad. Goodbye. >> You're good. >> I was >> I I walked up to 15er. That was That was my fault. >> At the shuttle area, she refused to cooperate, began yelling, and threw objects at officers when asked to calm down. >> Take it right now. Okay. >> Yeah. Thank you. >> Hey, turn that bus. Hold on. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Oh, you wake up with me, huh? >> No. No. What is wrong? >> What the relax? >> No, I can't. This is all right. >> They told me. They told me this is my life. >> Come here. Just stand up. Stand up. >> I don't play those games. >> I'll throw other stuff at my officers. Do you understand? >> That's fine. >> My is right there. >> They're not yelling. She's just >> During the confrontation, the woman screamed hysterically, claimed she couldn't control herself, and continued ranting about her delayed flight and poor treatment by airline staff. >> She started screaming when she got on the bus, and he sat down to like talk to her, to calm her down, and she was throwing at her. I was like, "No, it doesn't matter." >> No, I don't care. >> We'll just go to straight booking. >> We're going second half. a booking. >> All right, ladies and gentlemen. Been a pleasure. What the is going on? Oh gosh. >> I can't breathe. Do you have water or something? Something something. Hey, just relax. Just relax. Yeah. Just relax. Breathe. Okay. Breathe through. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Relax. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Okay. Just remain calm. hotel. In >> through your nose, out through your mouth slowly. She accused Spirit employees of racism and mistreatment, admitted she was emotional and possibly intoxicated, and rambled about attending a Metallica concert in Nashville. >> I'm going to hurry the lawyer. I swear to God, I'm going to pull up that video. Very nice girl. That's mother. One gay and one black woman. Okay, I'm being racist. Okay, I'm being angry right now, mother. >> Motherers, I'm I'm going to hurry. This is not all right. This is not all right. I've been flying a lot in my life. A lot since I've been like 6 years old. This is not all right. I might be a little under over emotions. I am Ted, but I've been blackfaced. I never had that. First time. First time. Adventurous. I'm going to remember that and have fun. I'm sure this is not fun right now. >> What' you throw for? >> It's not fun right now. >> Officers informed her that the airport had video evidence of her behavior, including when she threw her phone at them on the bus. >> And we also have footage of how how you're behaving. But I'm telling you now, it's very convincing that what you did is what made us put you here. >> Whereas what led led you to be your but >> Well, it's not just that. >> I didn't. >> But but but you realize you threw a phone at us, right? >> What? >> When when I came inside when I came inside the bus, you threw objects at me. >> Yeah. The woman was arrested and charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after repeatedly refusing to comply with officer's instructions. Stay calm and respectful when facing travel delays. Anger only makes things worse. Losing your temper in public can quickly turn an inconvenience into an arrest. All right, let's move to this next case where things might get even messier. >> Stop. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. And I did stop at those. >> No, you didn't. Ma'am, I need your driver's license. >> I did. >> Ma'am, I >> tell me. Tell me this. >> Ma'am, I'm not going to ask you again. Can I get your >> On February 25th, 2024, a Tulsa County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle near Archer Street after it ran two stop signs. The female driver immediately challenged the deputy's decision to pull her over. >> License, ma'am. >> What's your name? >> Alanise. >> And who do you work with? >> Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. >> Tulsa County Sheriff. >> Yep. Ma'am, I'm stopping you cuz you're ran two stop signs. >> Why are you even I did not run? >> This is This is the Tulsa County. >> I I know, but I didn't run two stop signs. >> Okay, I need your driver's license. >> But how do we solve this if I know I didn't run two stop signs? >> Well, we can solve it in court. I need your driver's license. >> No, but you're not telling the truth. I did not >> I am telling the truth. Yes, you did run two stops. >> How did I run two stop signs? >> You didn't come to a complete stop at this stop sign here. And you didn't come to a complete stop on the other stop sign. No, you did not come to stop. You said not. >> You slowed down. You slowed down. You did not come to a stop. >> Huh? You slowed down. You did not even come to a stop >> down at the stop sign. >> You slowed down. >> Uhhuh. >> State statute is you must come to a complete full stop. >> Okay. >> Okay. And I did stop at those. >> No, you didn't. Ma'am, I need your driver's license. >> I did. >> Ma'am, I either >> Tell me Tell me this. >> Ma'am, I'm not going to ask you again. Can I get your driver's license or can I take you to jail on running a stop sign? I'm not going to ask you again. >> Senator Goodwin appeared more interested in arguing than cooperating. Offended by the notion that someone of her status could be pulled over. She tried to twist the situation and cast doubt on the officer's professionalism. >> Driver's license. I'm not going to ask again. Then I need to get your driver's license. >> You're not going to arrest me when I did not. I stopped the stop sign. And you have the audacity. >> I need your driver's license. If you don't give me your driver's license, if you don't give me your driver what you got to do, >> I need your driver's license. >> Do what you got to do. Say you're going to arrest me. >> Yeah. Turn around. >> Okay. You're going to rest me and I did not run a step. >> Relax with me. Relax. Relax. Relax your hands. Yeah, relax them. Relax. >> I am relaxed, sir. >> No, you're not relaxed. >> I am relaxed. I'm doing nothing here. I am relaxed. >> He ran too. Stop. >> Not you're you're bending my thumb a little. >> Stop moving. Stop moving. Don't turn towards me, ma'am. >> Don't turn towards me. >> Okay. First of all, I didn't stop. Ma'am, stop moving towards me. >> Okay. You know what? You are You really are putting too much pressure on myself. And I'm asking your name. I'm asking >> Yeah. Freddy Alanise with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. The reason why I pulled you over is because you ran two stop signs. >> And And why would you say that you're going to arrest me? >> Because you're refusing to give me a driver's license. >> No, sir. I'm just telling you. I'm asking you to process. >> Yeah. I asked you about I don't know maybe over eight times to give me a driver. >> And I said to you I didn't run the stop sign. If I'm refusing to if if I'm saying to you that I didn't run the two stop signs. >> Uhhuh. >> That's what I >> She attempted to portray herself as the victim, speaking in a calm, measured tone to make the officer seem like the one overreacting. It was a subtle but familiar tactic. >> Ma'am, we're going to go right this way. Okay. >> Could you not give me your driver's license? >> No. No. You I was asking you the process. I was asking you how is this going to work out? And you said if you don't stop, I'm going to arrest you. I said why would you? Yes, you did. Yes, that's why I asked. Why would you arrest me? >> I said if you don't give me your driver's license. >> That was not it. It was not It was No, I said I said I said why would you arrest me is what I said. >> Because you're refusing your driver's >> license. No. No. No. >> And like any seasoned politician, she tried to spin the situation, insisting she wasn't being defiant, just asking questions. But this wasn't the Senate floor. And clever word play doesn't hold much weight during a traffic stop. can be a little bit shorted at times, but don't you think >> let's let's >> I don't want I don't want >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I can I can absolutely do that. But >> she'll she'll give you her driver's license. >> Okay. I don't need I don't need to ask her 10 times for her driver's license. You know what I mean? >> I realize >> and I I don't have an issue right now. Is she a citation or let her go, but I'm the one that's in in command of the traffic stop, not her. Right. >> Uh, she blatantly ran two stop signs and I was just going to give her a verbal warning and tell her not to do that, but she her demeanor the way that she was, >> I can't have that. >> I'm the one in control of the traffic stop. >> Nice. >> I don't if >> and I'm not I'm not >> if I don't allow other people to do that when I do a traffic stop, I'm not going to allow her either. Does that make sense? >> The officer made it clear that this stop wasn't about who she was. It was about what she had done. Had she simply cooperated, she likely would have left with just a warning like anyone else. You got your is your ID or your driver's license? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Can we just give the ID? Give the driver's license. Take a deep breath and everything and then let's let's go from there. Okay. I >> I was asking him the process. >> I understand. >> Right. >> I understand. >> So why can't he explain it? >> He's not explaining you the process. He's just asking for your driver's license. I will be more than happy to explain that stuff to you. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, what am I doing? >> I need your driver's license, ma'am. I need your driver's license. Can I get your driver's license? Actually, you know what? >> It's >> cuz I got a feeling you won't you won't let me in your car to get your driver's license. I will just I will I will just ask you. >> I will tell you where my license is. >> That's okay. Uh what's what's your last name? >> Why would you have a feeling that I'm not going to tell you where my license is? Clearly, my license is in the car. It's been very difficult up to this moment. >> Well, I I I was expecting to be in handcuffs off of something as simple as what we're discussing. So, >> and clearly my license is in my purse. >> Senator Goodwin eventually calmed down, though she continued to shift the blame onto everyone but herself. The officer, however, refused to entertain the excuses. >> Step on out here for me. I just got to hold you cuz I don't want you to fall. Okay, ma'am. If you just want to hang up here in the sidewalk, I'm going to issue you a citation and then I'm going to let you go on your way. Okay. Oh, it's simple. I asked you several times for your driver's license and I told you that >> mischaracteriz I'm not going to debate that with you anymore. >> Why would you do that? >> That's not exactly what I said. No, that's not what I said. >> You said you do what you've got to do when I asked you that. If I don't get your driver's license, then I would I would take you to jail. >> So, why would you do that? >> Okay, ma'am. Will you please stand up there? Please be careful. The handcuffs came off, but the debate didn't. Senator Goodwin continued to push her version of events, speaking as though the officer hadn't personally witnessed her running the stop signs. >> So, I'm going to issue a citation for fail to stop at the stop sign or this stop sign and the other stop sign that's a little further down. Coordinate is going to be on the 25th of February at 9:00 at the Tulsa, I'm sorry, at 8:00. 9:00 at the Tulsa County Courthouse downtown. >> Address is right here if you need it. Do you have any questions? Yeah, I had a question. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Same questions that I was asking before. You said that you were gonna arrest me, you take me downtown. I said, "Why would you arrest me?" >> And then you need then you said, "Oh, I'll take you downtown. I'll arrest you." I just think you just escalated something that was absolutely beyond >> That's not exactly how That's not exactly how I ended up in handcuffs. >> Yes. >> Because >> because I asked you for your driver's license several times. >> No, sir. No, sir. I was asking the process. >> I'm not going to debate that. It's on body cam. That's exactly how that happened. I asked you nbody cam. I hope you know >> I asked you numerous times for your driver's license. No, >> you kept debating the stop. >> I absolutely >> I told you that we could debate that in court. >> No, you no. >> Then I said if I don't get your driver's license, ma'am, then I said that if I didn't get your driver's license, >> then I would take you that. Yes. And I would arrest you. And then you said do what you got to do. You put your hands behind your back. >> I said, "Okay." Yeah. I'm not going to. >> Even with the ticket in her hand, Senator Goodwin couldn't quite let it go. Her tone remained calm, but beneath it was a quiet disbelief, as if she couldn't accept that something like this could happen to her. >> Ride here for me, please. >> That's not an admission of guilt promising that you're going to appear in court. >> And what if I choose not to appear in court? >> Then I will take you to jail. Yes. >> What if I just pay the ticket? >> You'll have to do that through the courts. >> Okay. Explain that to me. That I can't pay the ticket. >> You can You can play it through the courts. You can't pay me right now. You can go through the >> question was she said go to court where she pays the ticket. >> That's what I'm asking. >> That's what she >> That's what I'm asking. That was a very simple. I said, "Why can't I just pay the ticket?" And he's like, "That's what I said. Yeah, you have you have to go through the courts." >> So, you have to go to the court. It's >> all good. Let's Let's Let's go ahead. Let's go ahead and get this. >> So, I'm signing this. >> I'm signing this. There's no admission of guilt. >> Yes, ma'am. No admission. >> I'm signing this saying that I still have the option to pay a ticket >> and don't go to court on it. Yes, ma'am. Yeah, you didn't explain that there. >> No one is above the law. Titles and status don't excuse wrongdoing. Respect and cooperation go a lot further than pride and argument. It not the coziest incident you can see. The next case even more. I'll never get that. >> Officer Laam was working extra duty at Walmart and observed a woman through the CCTV system select a purse from the shelf, remove the price tag, and then place various other merchandise inside the purse >> and all the stuff she didn't. >> I don't have anything else. >> Yeah, she got merchandise concealed in her pain, too. >> Yeah, we watched her conceal. >> All right, come on. Don't give him the stuff. >> You're not supposed to be here. >> She already been trespassed. >> Find me that trespass and she'll go to jail. Come on. Off the part, please. >> Oh, I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> Walmart staff and officers confront a woman caught concealing items in her pants and cart. She has already been trespassed from Walmart before. I'll get your code. >> Okay. >> Got to check a receipt. I'm not sure about what's in here. >> Y'all going to get rid all of it. >> Mhm. cuz it was in her. Awesome. Where's your receipt, man? I'm not She rang this up three times. There's two >> officers check her receipt and find she rang up multiple bell peppers instead of paying for other items. They request her driver's license. >> Bell pepper on here. Great. No, you do not. You pay for bell peppers three times. I got a salads. One, two, three, four. Give me your uh driver license, please. Uh no. Uh >> I need to put in my purse. >> Officers in charge. >> Here's something from our store. I mean, I can print out all of them if you need it, but >> 23. Yeah, but it's been an >> Just hold that. Put it with the paperwork. >> Mhm. >> It's revealed she has been banned from multiple Walmarts since 2023. She is placed under arrest and told it's now a felony charge. >> Sir, I'm not able to understand your traffic. >> So, you have been trespassed from Walmart before and 23 several other Walmarts apparently. Um, you going to be charged with a felony this time and you going to go to jail today. You are under arrest. >> All right. >> It's right here on the desk. >> And tell her to come to my park. >> Uh, that's going to go with you to the jail. >> Is she here in the parking lot? >> Officers ask about her EBT card and find she has two. They prepare evidence and paperwork for the theft. >> She could return it so I could cuz I can't. She's asking for you to return it. >> That's what happened. >> Okay. Then I need your EBT card with your PIN number wrote down. >> Okay. >> Because I have to have that to go back. >> Sorry. Sorry. >> That's help. >> Where's your EBT card at? >> It's on the side. That it I have >> discussion continues about Walmart employees retirement and how the suspect tried to take stakes that could not be resold. >> I don't know >> when you retire when I can afford them. >> Sure. Jeez. What? Is she here? She like out. Wait on. >> She know you still. >> She thought she was going to get those stakes. >> Ain't nobody get them stakes. >> You had to put any pursuits on them cars like state police do? >> Not yet. >> They put it on them, don't they? Hey, >> I'm sorry. >> I don't even know why they run in the first place, but yeah, >> I don't either. >> Another officer confirms she has a long history of theft charges dating back to 2009. This case will be filed as commercial burglary. >> I'll have to keep every one of them in my hand. >> I just want to say thank you for transporting for me. >> You are amazing. >> I heard that, you know, there's stuff in it. More jokes are exchanged about her walking and stolen stakes. >> And today there >> she got up and bumped me into this door and said, "Oh, I'm sorry." >> I said, "Go." >> I didn't mean to yell out here. It's a little pricey, but the food's good. Burger. >> All right. >> You ready to roll? You don't even take that. Just imagine me being bumped into the door after this right there. Give us give us a second. >> Officers wrap up and prepare to transport her after completing the report. The woman is charged with felony theft, shoplifting, and commercial burglary. Stealing may seem small, but repeat offenses only lead to harsher charges and lasting consequences. Respecting boundaries and living honestly always costs less than a life of crime. But this is still not the worst case. Just wait until you see this next one. >> So, can you do me a favor? Just stand up and face my partner right here, please. >> All right. Your chains behind your back. Florida officers respond to a gas station after reports that one of the managers was caught trying to steal money. Listen closely as the store supervisor walks officers through exactly what happened. >> This officer there. >> Yeah. >> Who's he talking to right now? >> The employee. >> Employee. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So, what's what's happening? >> Um, the associate in there, uh, I did an interview of her today, I got an alert from our treasury department at corporate that we had a deposit that was short almost $5,000. >> Okay. >> On the the 10th of July, >> okay. Um, I got that notification around uh August 4th. And then as I started looking at it, uh, other shortages started coming in after that date, but not that large. Uh, and then the last shortage that was reported was on 87. So there's a total of 1 2 3 4 seven deposit variances totaling 9,555. Okay. um with the first shortage that was it was substantial 4,775. >> Okay. Well, what made it pinpoint to one of the employees? >> Well, um when I pulled the video and watched the the managers do a daily cash process where they go out to the eaves where you see the associates. >> They can't hear us from here, right? >> Yeah, they can. >> What? >> They can't hear us from here. >> Yeah, maybe. According to the supervisor, the company noticed discrepancies in the store's deposits. An audit revealed that one of the assistant managers in charge of cash drops had been stealing money. So, they come out in the morning and they get the canisters out of these things that are by each register. And there's also a canister inside that lottery kiosk that has cash customers purchasing tickets. Um, there was uh the amount of the shortage the 4775 was the exact amount of two of those to the dollar and then when I watched the video of cash today that uh she was doing the pick up in the morning you can see her open this drop safe and there's a stack of cash like that she has her backpack on top of the safe that she's supposed to put the money in and spin it and it drops down so no one can get it Look at that. She doesn't spin it. You can see in the motion by the backpack, but the video is not great. You can't see her actually. >> So, you can't really see her actually like >> Yeah. Does that Does that Does the video have clear concise that she put that even though I know it sounds like her dropping, but does it have clear concise that shows that >> she's uh um placed it into like it it would have been 100% that that was her. She placed it. Uh >> cuz I I'll let you know what's what might happen today. Like depend depending on depending on what she's right right now that could be a case that she might not get arrested today which will uh depending on like is this going to be sent to a detective detective would have to do with her investigation like unless she's submitting to some of the stuff that she does. >> Yeah, I think she is. When confronted with the evidence, the employee admitted her actions to the supervisor. This confession allowed the company to carefully document each day she had attempted to steal money. >> Yeah, I think so. Yeah, you guys can have this, too. >> This I didn't have video any longer to review. >> Okay. >> Um, but I had her initial. She admitted that she took on these dates. >> Oh, she told you. >> Yeah. And then I initial by deposit I took cash from. And that's the >> Oh, that she said that she stole or initial that she like >> Yeah, she know that I took cash from. She gave me a full purple in confession. Okay. >> All right. All right. Would you be able to pull up your uh information real quick, please, for the uh jump drive so we can um I think I already have it on my desktop quicker. This Excel file is on that thumb drive. Okay, this has all the dates, what was reported, what the bank deposit should have been, what the bank counted, and the variances by day. >> But like I said, I didn't have video. I I just if I just want to see the video part at this point. So, we have like >> It's not that I don't believe you. It's just cross tease dot eyes. You know what I mean? >> No, no, I get it. Um Yeah. This is the day I just told you about where she put the money in. >> Okay. >> And you can still see it there. >> Yeah. >> And then she puts her back back there. >> Just stand real quick. So with her. >> When confronted with the evidence, the employee admitted her actions to the supervisor. This confession allowed the company to carefully document each day she had attempted to steal money. >> Okay. How long you been employed here? >> Like 2 and 1/2 years. >> 2 and 1/2 years. Okay. And the other officer uh read you the Miranda rights, right? So you understood your rights, right? >> Okay. What was your uh previous job? Uh >> Disney. >> Disney. Okay. But this is like the first time overall has anything like this happened? Not at Disney or anything like that? No. Okay. Was there any uh reason or anything like that? Okay. Did you explain to the other officer? I didn't talk to him about that. Okay. Would you say it was more of a desperate type of thing or was it there's a lot of things going on in the household that you just fallen through? Those are like at least like you know late on is it like late on bills or >> one of the officers entered the security room to speak with the employee who sat quietly in tears as the weight of the situation finally sank in. >> Yeah. but apply for like assistance and like they gave I have a safe >> when they gave when I did that they gave me a >> a card with information. >> So it's just >> I want to go to a shop. Do you have like any type of food stamps or anything or >> They just gave them to me. >> They just gave them to you. Okay. >> But they wouldn't give me any um cash assistance. >> Cash? Okay. >> Did you have like a set goal or anything like that? Um how much you wanted to take out or >> I I wasn't I wasn't keeping track. >> It's a mistake. It's a It's a bump. You know, we learn from mistakes, right? Hopefully, this would be like that big island that like we can't be doing stuff like that. You got to find some alternate ways like the better way to do it is, you know, and sometimes if you feel like you're in a in a road where you in a crossroads where you feel like you can't do anything else, you know, you can still call law enforcement or you can call like anybody just to talk to and then see if there's any type of things that can help you out. you know, there's there's a whole bunch of churches that, you know, you would have to talk with and let them know your situations. They can you can set up like a a GoFundMe or whatever it is. Like there's actually a place um it's called the Red Suit Suitcase Project or Red Suitcape Ministry. Um and they do exactly that, helping single mothers at a time of need. And what they do is they do whatever they can to assist you in what what assistance that you need need help with. Okay. >> In an earlier conversation with another officer, the woman admitted that financial struggles as a single mother had driven her to steal. >> Like you can look it up and stuff like that. Okay. But just uh I would say what you could do is just think really hard and clear before you end up wanting to make um where you feel like it'll be something that was taking you in the wrong path. Okay. I mean always I'll say it shows me that you have character that you're admitting to things like this. Okay. And it shows and it shows me the character that you are that you're making and you're you're you know taking action of your own you know mistakes. Okay. And that's something to you know like I said I know it's a huge mistake that what you did but you're you're owning up to it. Okay. There's other people in that situation that makes that make things way harder than it should be and they get caught up into the you know wrong type of situation. You know what I mean? that you're actually taking ownership and you know uh it's and I respect you at least that you're you're doing that. Okay. It's hard. It's a hard thing to do but know that that you have other actions besides doing this. Okay. >> You said you're in your early 20s. >> 28. >> 28. Sympathizing with her honesty and difficult circumstances, the officer offered her advice on where to seek financial assistance and other forms of support instead of resorting to theft. >> Uh, you have any belongings in here besides your backpack? >> No. Okay. So, unfortunately, right now, we we are going to have to take you in. Okay. Like I said, it's not the end of the world. All right. So we're going to fe officer to pat you down and search you. But in the meantime, is there anything on you we should know about? Any weapons? Did you say anything to the jail? That's a another charge that you really don't need. Okay. So if you do me a favor, you can stand up and face my partner right here, please. All right. Your hands behind your back. Thank you. And like I said, what I'm going to do is um I'll write down um what what you need if you want to reach out for, you know, single mothers that need, you know, some type of assistance. So, cuz this right here, like I said, I respect you that you're being honest and open with us. And then, like I said, a lot of people in your situation usually give us a hard time. Okay. So, I'm going to try to give I'll write down the the ministry, the red suitcase ministry that can help out. Still, >> you want to call it out for me? Yep. We got one 105. We can have a female officer down. >> All right. This is your hat. Or is it the hat? >> It's yours. Okay. This is your bag. All right. You mind grabbing that for me? And that's your cup. No. All right. Take that one, please. Uh, you have everything that's yours, correct? Okay. Let's go. We're in the back, so I won't try to get you out there. But uh actually, hey, give him the hat. Cover her face. Just crawl and cover her face. Now you messed up, but no one know your crap. You know what I mean? This is your business, not theirs. All right, ready? >> The woman was officially charged with felony grand theft and sentenced to 5 years of probation. In addition, she was ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution. Desperation doesn't justify theft. The consequences only add to the burden. Seeking help the right way is always better than risking years of probation and debt.
