[ __ ] Remy Ma, OVER THE SHOULDER. WHAT'S UP, BABY? ALL RIGHT. >> IT'S THE COPS, HOMIE. Move back, guys. Move back. Move back. >> Remy Ma, Rick Ross, Jay-Z's concert, Remy Ma's brand new music video, and her upcoming concert. We've got a lot to talk about today. So, let's get right into it. Today, we're talking about Remy Ma, also known as Slim Rim, and of course, Put It On. I know a lot of you have been asking me to react to the new music video, and don't worry, we're getting to that in just a minute. But, before we do, there are a few Remy Ma updates that deserve some attention, because it's been a little while since we talked about everything she's got going on. Last weekend, Remy Ma made a special appearance during Rick Ross's celebration of the 20th anniversary of Port of Miami. Rozay brought her out to perform, and she had the crowd rocking from the moment she hit the [music] stage. The energy looked great, and it was another reminder of why she's still able to command attention whenever she performs. I also have to mention the outfit, because it looked incredible. That [music] dress was definitely a 10 out of 10. It gave me the same stylish vibe as the green outfit she wore to her birthday dinner, just with a fresh black look that really stood out. She's [music] been stepping up her fashion lately, and it's been catching people's attention every time she makes an appearance. Of course, Remy shared clips from the event online with Rick Ross's music playing in the background, and it was [music] cool to see the long-time friends together again. I'm also glad they were able to move past their previous [music] cease and desist situation, because it was unfortunate to see that become such a public issue. The only part I wasn't a fan of was seeing Rick Ross get pulled into the Claressa Shields conversation. In my opinion, that drama didn't really need to involve him, especially when everyone should have been celebrating a major career milestone instead. >> At one point, it almost felt like people were trying to connect [music] themselves with everyone in Remy Ma's circle. Whether that was intentional or not is up for debate, but that's how some observers saw it. They point to connections with personalities like [music] The Breakfast Club, Angela Yee, and other well-known media figures, saying it looked like an effort to build visibility through people who already had strong relationships with Remy. >> [music] >> The criticism, though, is that simply being connected to big names doesn't automatically create success. According to those critics, [music] if the projects or promotions don't connect with the audience, all that networking doesn't mean much in the long run. That's the point many of them have been making. Now, let's switch gears. Remy Ma was also spotted at what many believe was the third night of Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt celebration, and the event turned into a star-studded [music] showcase. One celebrity after another took the stage. You had Pharrell, [music] Usher, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nas, Fat Joe, and plenty of other familiar faces showing up throughout the celebration. It was definitely one of those nights everyone was talking about. And, of course, that led to jokes online. Some people couldn't help but notice who wasn't on the lineup, and the internet had plenty [music] to say about it. That's just how social media works. People always compare guest lists and start asking questions, whether those questions are fair or not. But, enough about that. Let's move on to what we're really here for. I want to talk about Remy Ma's new Put a Man video. There have already been several articles [music] covering the release, including one from Yahoo Entertainment. And after going through some of those reports, I'm ready to give my own reaction to the music video and break down everything that stood out. >> [music] >> So, here's what the article says. Remy Ma has dropped the music video for Put a [music] 1 at the time I'm recording this video. It's already sitting at around 140,000 views and people [music] are definitely checking it out." The article explains that the video opens with Remy Ma waking up in a beautiful mansion before getting ready for a house party with her girlfriends. Everyone is dressed in matching orange silk robes as they joke around, have a pillow fight, play games, count money, and catch up before changing into elegant outfits for the main party. Right away, the video sets a fun, carefree summer vibe. It also highlights several other scenes throughout the video. You see Remy performing outside the mansion, dancers putting on a show in front of the property, women washing cars wearing summer outfits, and Remy steps into the spotlight with a choreographed dance routine leading the group with plenty of confidence and energy. The article also shares a statement from her, Remy Ma. She said, "This video is exactly how I've been feeling lately. I wanted to be back outside with my girls, laughing, dancing, playing games, talking trash, and just enjoying the summer. Sometimes the best moments are simply being surrounded by the people who genuinely support you. Put a 1 is about good energy, good vibes, and celebrating [music] each other." Remy, we're definitely going to talk about that because there's a lot to unpack. The director, [music] Nimi Hendrix, also explained the creative vision behind the project. According to Hendrix, "The heart of this video was creating a real vibe. We wanted it to feel less like a set and more like you had been invited to the best summer kickback with Remy and her friends. The chemistry, the laughter, and energy weren't manufactured. That feeling was the story we wanted to tell. And honestly, you can definitely see that approach throughout the video. The support kept coming after the video dropped. Close friend and long-time collaborator Fat Joe took to Instagram to encourage everyone to check it out. He wrote, "Family first. Proud of my sister, Remy Ma, [music] the best to ever do it. The Put It On video is out now. Go run those views up. Stream the record and show love. Love always, sis. The Bronx, stand up." That's a strong cosign from someone who's been in her corner for years. There's more good news, too. It looks like Put It On is starting to get radio support. Remy has been sharing updates showing that stations like Power 105 are giving the record some attention, and that's always a positive sign when you're trying to build momentum for a new release. Hopefully, that exposure helps the song reach an even bigger audience. I'm hoping this record turns into a real summer anthem. It's got that laid-back, feel-good energy that fits the season. And it'll be interesting to see whether listeners keep adding it to their playlists over the next few weeks. Sometimes, all the song needs is the right timing and enough radio play to really take off. >> On top of that, Remy has been staying busy. She's also scheduled to perform at the Jet Jam 2026 charity concert on July 16th at Mill River Park in Stamford, Connecticut. So, if you're in the area and you've been wanting to catch Remy live, that's another opportunity to see her perform. It's clear she's keeping her calendar full and staying active. Now, let's get to what everybody has been waiting for. My thoughts on the music video. I'll be honest, I was paying close attention because I wanted to see if some of the people Remy mentioned in the lyrics would show up somewhere in the visuals. I know I can't be the only one looking for those little details. Even if they weren't the actual people, I was expecting a few fun references or creative nods along the way. I can't lie, I was looking for a few surprises in the video. I was waiting to see if Mr. International was going to pop up on a FaceTime call or make some kind of cameo. I was also wondering about the chef. Although, I think the internet already has its own theories about who that might be. Then there was the mention of the NBA player living in Calabasas. I was definitely curious to see if there would be any clues hidden throughout the visuals. I wasn't expecting anything over the top, but I thought maybe we'd get a few fun appearances or little Easter eggs connected to the lyrics. Just a little extra excitement to keep everyone guessing. That's part of what makes music videos fun. You start looking for every small detail and trying to connect the dots. But, after reading more about the creative direction behind the project, I completely understood the vision Remy was going for. This wasn't meant to be packed with celebrity cameos or distractions. The focus was creating a fun summer atmosphere with women enjoying themselves, laughing, dancing, celebrating, and just living in the moment. That carefree energy is really what drives the entire video. >> [music] [music] >> I also think I spotted Juju making a quick appearance. And if that was her, it was a nice little addition. Everyone looked like they were genuinely having fun instead of trying to force a moment for the camera. Remy even shared some behind-the-scenes footage afterwards, which made the whole project feel even more authentic and enjoyable. So, [music] definitely give the song a stream, check out the music video, and help run those numbers up. It's got a smooth, laid-back summer vibe that's easy to throw on while you're driving, running errands, hanging out with friends, or just relaxing around the house. With the weather heating up, this feels like one of those records that's perfect for the season, and it'll be interesting to [music] see how far it climbs over the next few weeks. That's exactly what this video is all about, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. The whole production had a fun, luxurious feel. It was giving Richie Rich energy from beginning to end. Everything looked polished, colorful, and full of confidence, and it matched the upbeat vibe of the song perfectly. One thing that really stood out to me was how happy Remy Ma looked throughout the video. She seemed relaxed, confident, and like she was genuinely enjoying herself. The whole project gave off a major glow-up energy. Whether it's her mindset, her style, or just where she is in life right now, she looked like someone who was simply focused on having a good time and embracing the moment. And honestly, if you're in a position to enjoy life, why not bring your friends along for the ride? That's one of the messages I took away from the visuals. The entire video felt like a celebration of friendship, success, and creating memories together. Everyone looked like they were having fun, laughing, dancing, and enjoying the experience instead of trying too hard to impress anyone. The location also helps sell that feeling, too. Filming in a beautiful mansion with luxury cars outside gave everything a bigger, more glamorous look. It created that larger-than-life atmosphere that fit the song without it feeling overdone. Every scene flowed naturally into the next, and the production value really showed. I also loved the different fashion moments throughout the video. From the opening scenes to the outdoor performances, Remy switched up her looks with different hairstyles and outfits that kept everything fresh. One of my favorite looks was the outfit she wore outside with the elegant updo. It looked amazing. And I was so happy to see the return of the classic two-tone Remy Ma hairstyle with the blonde on top and the darker color underneath. That brought back a little nostalgia while still feeling modern. Overall, I had a great time watching this video, and I honestly enjoyed every minute of it. I honestly couldn't get enough of this video. I watched it several times, and I know so many of you were sending me messages saying, "Did you see the video? When are you doing the reaction? We need your review." I heard you. I was planning to get this out sooner, but I got tied up, so thanks for being patient. I definitely wanted to make sure I watched it carefully before sharing my thoughts. Overall, I'm really happy with the finished product. Like I said before, a small cameo or a fun visual reference to some of the lyrics could have been entertaining, but after seeing the full video, I completely understand the direction Remy decided to take. She wanted the spotlight to stay on women having fun, supporting each other, and enjoying the summer without unnecessary distractions. Once you look at it from that perspective, the creative vision makes a lot of sense. That's what makes this video work so well. It isn't trying to do too much. Instead, it sticks to a clear theme, delivers good energy, and lets the music carry the experience. Sometimes that's exactly what a summer record needs. It feels natural, fun, and easy to watch from beginning to end. The biggest compliment I can give it is this. It has real playback value. [music] There are plenty of songs you listen to once and move on from, but this is one of those tracks you can throw on again while you're driving, relaxing, hanging out with friends, or just enjoying the day. The visuals match that same easy-going vibe, and together they make for a really enjoyable package. Now, I want to hear from all of you. Have you watched Remy Ma's "Put Them On" music video yet? What did you think about the song, the visuals, [music] the fashion, and the overall concept? Drop your thoughts in the comments because I want to know if you enjoyed it as much as I did.
