rifle pellet in the trunk. The trunk. Okay. You're not even bright. I'll be honest. That's fine. I Yeah. I just wanted to see. Are they on? Nope. You have a weapon. You have no ID on you. It's not a real weapon. You're carrying a fake weapon. And you're a federal marshal. He's got a little back. Are you not? No. Congratulations. Be nice by standing here. And I am being nice by standing here because by law I don't have to stand here and I can walk away from you and get on my bike and ride away right now. So I'm being nice. I'm not trying to be confrontational. But do not reach for that firearm. You hear me? Yeah. I hear you. Go ahead and secure him. What? He got the firearm on his side. In the realm of law enforcement, the distinction between genuine officers and imposters can have profound implications. Recent investigations have unveiled unsettling instances where individuals under the guise of authority exploited the trust. A lady was pulled off to the side of the road. She had her hazards on. So, I turned around. I accidentally cut off a car. I don't know who it was. Um, then I I have rear red and blues. I talked to an officer before. He said it's frowned upon. He didn't say it was illegal. He said it was frowned upon to have them on. Mhm. I had them on. I was going to have them on for some public safety, but then he pulled out behind me, so I turned them off. So, I figured we had four cars now with hazards on, so we'll be okay. Where where' this occur at? Whatever gas station's over there and 452 on It's on this road. Okay, I got you. That Yeah, I for that um 22. Can I reach for the police officer's card? It's in this uh in a second. Yeah, in a second. Yeah, we can do that. All right. Yeah, I've already been pulled over before. For it? No, not for it. No. Okay. Okay. Um it was a Lake County Sheriff's Office or K9 unit. I don't remember the name. Um he got me for speeding. Then he saw the lights and he's like, "Are you impersonating?" Like, "No, sir." I cuz I'm part of car clubs. Okay. And I have them really for car clubs at this time. I'm like, "Oh, you know, public safety. I don't want someone to get hit. It's late at night, so I turned them on. Right. Um I'm not even going to lie to you. I I didn't So your intentions are turning them on for what? For what reason? To to public safety. Yeah. But was it So So if a car comes Was it coming behind you or did you cut it off to get behind a car or how? How? What? What? No, I just turned I didn't even see him. Okay. I don't know if he had his lights off or what? And that's when you hit it on. So he Yeah, I hit him on and I pulled off. Okay. So And then he pulled up behind me. Got And I was like, "Okay, turned him off." Um, and then I was saw Lake County. I was like, "Yeah." And I wasn't trying to lose him, but I left. Sure. And then I noticed he was following me, so I just pulled him here and I was like, "You know what? I'm not going to cause any trouble. I'm not going to try anything. Just going to pull off and let whatever happened happen." I appreciate it. What's your name, boss, man? Joshua. I have my license. Are you the registered owner? Yes, sir. All right. Um, 22 run 28 for that Mercedes. Came back to Joshua and D29P the registered Josh. Got a whole bunch of [ __ ] here. Can you do me a favor? Can you turn on your lights real quick just so I can see what we're working with here? Can I get my keys? Yep. Absolutely. I have front ones, but it is connected to the back. Okay. So, the only the back ones are active. Yes, sir. Okay. Um, that's cuz they're they're checking out. No firearms or anything like that in the car? Airsoft gun. The back in the trunk. In the trunk. Is that it? Okay. Rifle. A pellet gun in the trunk. The trunk. Okay. They're not even bright. I'll be honest. That's fine. I just Yeah, I just wanted to see. Are they on? Nope. Okay. Okay. I I understand people think, "Oh, cop." Yeah, I can see how that's easily construed. Yeah. But, like I said, I didn't pull I didn't have any on the front. I didn't turn them on. and say, "Hey, how do you turn them on?" You just plug in the cigarette lighter or do you have to hit a switch? It's a cigarette. Well, I have a little button, but at the time, I had just flipped them on. Okay. Gotcha. So, gotcha. Yeah. Yes, sir. Okay. In Eustace, Florida, a young suspect was arrested for impersonating a police officer. Moreover, he then tried to mislead the officer with his clarifications on armaments caught with him. There was a He said he was pulling out Exxon. Car was coming up. He cut him off. by by accident. So he turned those on to let him know for traffic control, traffic safety, but the car pulled over though. Is that what he said? Yes. And he was the car behind. So the car pulled over as soon as the lights went on. Yeah. And he was the car behind. But did he get out of his car to approach that guy or No. Yeah. He said that he got out the car, but then went and then he got out right after that. He said he looked back, saw him, and got him. Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. But um Correct. There was a truck. I believe it was the Chevy over. Hey, Parker. I didn't even see the car. I didn't The car I cut off. Parker, stand by for the questions for a second. Uh, if you can have him just stand stand back here. I don't know if I'm going to read the answer. That's why I'm saying stand by for the questions real quick. I got Chris. Yeah, just hang on. I'll be right there. I have I just started a car club. Um, and you know, I attend car shows, so I just wanted, you know, something interesting. So, just Mercedes just sitting there. Um, I had about a month ago, 2 months, I had a citation right here. So, it has the date on it. Um, that people here for speeding and following too close. And then he saw those and he's like, "Well, get out. research your car, make sure you're not impersonating. He saw that I wasn't impersonating, so he let me go. Obviously, he gave me two citations, but um he gave you a citation for the lights. No. Okay. Just for the speed and the falling too close. Okay. I'm sure his name's on here somewhere. I got to find it. Yeah, I Where was it at? 441. Mhm. I He pulled me over. He turned his lights on at the Home Depot. I pulled into the Publix. Okay. And that's where the stop occurred. Okay. Um so that's got to be Leburg. Yeah, I guess that's Leburg. Um where would I find the the name on here? This should be on the bottom. I don't see it. Yep. He pulled me over. He's a Yep. see what's going on right now. So, he Excuse me. Told me, "Slow down. Don't follow too close." Um, he didn't say a whole lot about the lights other than, you know, I could get in trouble for him even though I don't have them active. My was I turned him on behind the car. I accidentally cut him off. Didn't even know he was an officer. And I was like, so then, you know, I took off. I didn't like run away, but like I drove off and he was following me. So I turned here. Uh, no, I turned at the community, drove through. It's like, okay, hopefully he goes away. He didn't. He started following me. So I came, turned here, drove through there, went to the gas station, noticed he was still there. So I just pulled in here. I was like, you know what? He's probably already has my plates. Not even going to try anything. So I'm like cuz I don't want anything on my record for fleeing and I don't want to flee. So I certainly don't want a felony for turning him on for what I was hoping for public safety. That his word against mine. The dude got out of his So the car pulled over. The dude got out of his car and that's when he saw him and he saw the lake county was like, "Oh snap." I got back in his car. Yeah. I mean, traffic safely. Why can't you car? I think you ripped those legs out windshield suction cup. Um, he's telling me that they Oh, sorry. Yeah. Actually, my wife actually came home. So, came off. I'm going to call Chris real quick. Let him know what we got. Um, his hand got the car and actually lit him up. The car actually stopped. But he was in front of the car that he lit up. Yes. Does he does it have uh lights in the front and back? Yeah. So the he's now saying the ones in the front are disconnected. I don't think they were disconnected, but there's no proof of that. Everybody was behind him. So if you look step over here, cuz I had him turn his lights on. Yeah. He went to get out to approach the guy. Yeah, that's what he's saying. Yeah. He was in front of the car and pulled him over. Yeah. Oh, the car pulled him over. Was there a person then cut him off? There was a car. It was him, a car, and then the deputy. So, the deputy saw the whole thing happen. So, when this guy stopped in front of this dude with the lights on, the deputy was like, "That's weird. That's a Mercedes-Benz. I've never seen it on like that." We don't know who the person they pulled over is, right? No. All right, let me go do some research and I'll According to Florida law, falsely impersonating a law enforcement officer is a serious offense. The act of falsely assuming or pretending of officers, sheriffs, or any other official, they can be charged with penalties and imprisonment for different durations. Do I go to jail? That's up to that's still to be determined. We're still investigating. That's that's the reason why I want basically your side and that's the reason why I'm asking if you would like to talk to us or not. But it's if I could explain myself, I think it would be better. Yes. Um my dad is actually an attorney, not a criminal defense attorney. Um so do you are you agreeing to talk to us or you're not? It's and again it's within your rights to say yes or no. [Music] No, I think I've explained to you. Okay. All right. All right. That's just nothing personal. No, I get it, brother. I've been told by my fault. No, that's fine. Listen. No disrespecting. No, no, no. It's Listen, bro. It's within your It's your right. It's nothing's taken personal um or anything like that. Yeah. And like I was uh telling S Officer Santos at the time when I got this. Well, I can't I can't talk to you now. Oh, okay. Well, what if I say yes? Well, then I can talk to you, but then he would have to I would have him reread it just so there's no confusion. Okay. Are you Would you like him to reread it? Yeah. Sorry. No. So, you have to you have the right to remain. I see. Yep. That's all I did was pull it down. I'm sorry and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand these rights to experience? Yes. Right. You wish to Excuse me. Yes. Mhm. Okay. Um, quick question. Okay. All right. And I want you to be totally honest with me. Are there weapons or anything on them? Two airsoft guns in the trunk. Two airsoft guns. They look like rifles like ARs. Well, one I haven't searched the car cuz I Yeah. Well, we're about We're probably going to be towing it here in a second. So, but he's saying there's an AR and a B and a BB gun, right? So, ARsoft and a BB gun, which is kind of scary, too. You know what the [ __ ] You what? 18? Yeah. 18 years old. 18 years. Where do you say where do you get the lights from? I haven't gone that far yet. Okay. So, he said someone told him they were legal. They're definitely not. Yeah, cuz I don't think the corrections even like told him to stop whenever he he just got out of the car and said, "Hey." So, here So, when they got here? Yeah. True. Yeah. [Music] Yep. And then he comes out and so I mean in my in my opinion you got the light thing misdemeanor and then you got the first officer which is felony firstanding officer. Okay. Yeah. That's cuz I agree with you like like you said. I mean, he he he did that to make uh traffic yield so he could get behind this car and you know, really of all the lights that we need to ask him where I got him before we hook him. So that way we you know information but the I mean it was obvious what the reason was. He you know he wanted to look like a cop. He tells me and plus you got air on. Yeah, you're right. That's a good point cuz I mean plus he had it in Leburg unless Leburg similar thing. The county did in in Leburg. Yes. In Leburg. And what what did they do? What did they I think they told him the fronts are illegal. Oh, they told him that the fronts were illegal. Okay. He said they ripped them out. But do you do you understand the concern that so someone improper use of lights? Yeah. They don't know the difference. I would assume people would see, you know, a Mercedes with a Whistler and think, "Oh, that's not Well, uh, so let me ask you this. So, when the deputy came out, what what was your thoughts?" Oh, sure. I mean, that's anybody's thought. And I was like, what do you think he was thinking? Who's that? The deputy. Yeah. He's like, who's that? Sure. Of course. cuz I mean that's I mean that's I don't blame him. I you know and but my here's my question to you brother is at that time I you should have approached him and said hey listen this is what this was the reason instead of jumping in your car and taking off and I get it maybe you were scared you didn't want to get in trouble. Yeah I was like if I you know cuz I'm not alluding have he didn't have lights he didn't have anything so technically not alluding. You're right. So I, you know, I got in my car and I left and like hopefully that's the end of it. And then I saw a car following me. I didn't know exactly if it was him or not. Sure. So, you know, I drove around a little bit, you know, and then I pulled it, like I said, I came in here, pulled over there, pulled into the gas station, sat there. Gotcha. Saw the car Cadillac, same car that pulled up behind me, had his lights off, sitting there looking at me. So, I just drove over here, stopped there. It was like come like you can come talk to me. I'm going to pull over for you. Sure. Sure. And then he was just driving in circles. So I just pulled up here, parked, turned my car off, put the keys on top of the hood. Josh, do me a favor. Stand up from your way, please. Yes, sir. All right. Do me a favor. F that way for a second. Together. I am. Yes, sir. You are going to be placed under arrest today. Call my mother. I'll let you call your mom, man. Just give me give me a second. Okay. Okay. And what is this? This a felony? Uh, the impersonation of a police officer is a felony. So, I'm getting impersonating. Yes, sir. Is there any way I can get off my record? Well, that's something not from us. I I we have no control over that. That's between the the judge and the judicial system. The officers arrested the suspect for the charge of impersonating a police officer. He was allowed to defend himself against the charges before the court. Felonies don't mean anything until they are convicted. If he is found guilty, he won't be able to pursue any job. Additionally, a huge penalty along with legal sanctions will take its course. He kind of reminds me of a skinny version of Santa Claus. Okay. And he showed you a gun. Yeah. And he couldn't put it on, so I'm like, you know, that's not a problem. I'll put it on for you. A man named O'Grady showed up at a Best Buy store located in North Congress Avenue, Florida. He carried a firearm without any law enforcement identification. But what made it worse was that he claimed to be a federal marshal. Is he an officer? He's got a bag on the thing. Keep an eye on him real close to him. [Music] [Applause] Is he a law enforcement officer? How'd you get here? I lost. Do you have any weapons on you, sir? Yes. Okay. Where where's it at? On my hip. Okay. That's what we thought. Are you a police officer? I'm not. No. Okay. All right. What are you? A federal marshal. Okay. All right. That's what we had asked. I don't have an ID. No. Okay. Just just We don't want you reaching for anything. I'm not reaching for anything. If you're a federal marshall, you understand what we're doing. Absolutely. Just You have your federal marshall ID? No. So, you're carrying a weapon with no ID on you? No. Cuz I just stepped out of my house to get this character. You have a number we can call for your supervisor? No. Okay. I got to take this for you just for safety. Handcand for what? Until we figure out what's going on. You have a weapon. You have no ID on you. It's not a real weapon. You're carrying a fake weapon. Yeah. And you're a federal marshall. He's got a little battery. Are you not? No. Congratulations. You impersonated a police officer. That's a federal offense. Oh yeah. Congratulations. That's a felony. Okay. I just Good. I set the keys. What's the story? Why are you carrying around a fake gun? I'm a limousine driver and I thought you were a federal marshal. Hey, here you got a badge that says US Marshals. You're claiming to be US Marshals. You have a badge which what does that say on Marshall? So why are we carrying face up which you know it's illegal? No, I didn't know it was illegal. Yes, you are displaying yourself as a law enforcement officer. We just asked you, are you in law enforcement? You said yes. I'm a US marshal. Impersonating a federal marshall in the US is a serious federal offense. Anyone who falsely assumes or pretends to be a federal officer can be fined and imprisoned till 3 years. One could also face additional state charges. And at this point, O'Grady was trading on thin ice. Um, you want me to grab that uh witness that 14? Yeah. Hey, were you off? I'll meet you over there. I just want to get the uh with the person. I need I'm having her come up right now. Did he actually admit to the phone or no? He denied it. Of course he did. How do you guys or not? Only what we have is a right off the bat. We knew something was sketchy. No, he's he's like first we I say, "Are you a law enforcement?" And he hesitated a little bit. He goes, "Yeah, I'm a US marshal." And then You have your ID on you. No, I left it right there and then some. And he was like this. I'm not on this. [Applause] I got to make sure. Yeah. All right. Do me a favor. Can you raise your right hand? Oh, sure. Do you swear the statement you're going to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? I do. I'm here talking to you about an older gentleman that came into your store the other day. Do you remember him? Yes, I do. Okay. Can you describe him for me? He pretty tall, over six foot. He kind of reminds me of a skinny version of Santa Claus. He had glasses. He had a black suit. Um, I remember he had a pin and I remember he showed me his gun. Um, do you remember what the pin said? I just remember I had like a little star, I believe. I didn't read it. I just saw it was a circle pin. Okay. Did you see any other badges? Not that I've noticed. Okay. And he showed you a gun. Yeah. Did he identify himself? No. He didn't say what where if he worked for anybody or anything like that? No. No. The way the the reason he showed it to me was he came in with an Otterbox, the Defender, the very bulky one. He didn't know how to put it on. He told me his wife couldn't put it on. He couldn't put it on. So, I'm like, you know, that's not a problem. I'll put it on for you. And I was like, let me show you. So, if you ever need to take it off, you know how to. He's like, "Yeah, I can't take that apart, but I know how to take this apart." And that's what he showed me the gun. Okay, whatever. I put it uh not on me. No. Why don't you have an ID on you? You're an adult. I have it on this law enforcement officer. How'd you get here? My car. You don't have your driver's license? I lost it. Do you have any weapons on you? Yes. Okay. I'm right here. Okay. Are you a police officer? I'm not. Okay. Where are you? Federal marshal. Okay. You have an ID. But you don't have an ID? No. Okay. Just Just We don't want you reaching for anything. I'm not reaching for that. If you're a federal marshal, you'll understand what we I have your federal marshal ID. No. So, you're carrying a weapon with no ID on you? No. Cuz I just stepped out of my house. I got this character. You have a number called for your supervisor? No. Handcuff for what? Until we figure out what's going on. You have a weapon. You have no ID on you. Not a real weapon. You're carrying a fake weapon and you're a federal marshal. You got a little back. Oh, you're not right. You need to make up your mind. Police officer. That's a federal offense. Oh yeah. Congratulations. That's a felony. Okay. I just could I set of keys? What's the story? Why you carry around a fake gun? I'm a lizard driver. I thought you were a federal marshal. Hey, here you got a badge that says US Marshals. You claim to be US Marshals. have a badge which what does that say on Marshall? So why are we carrying a fixed up? You know it's illegal. No, I didn't know illegal. Yes, you are displaying yourself as a law enforcement officer. No, we just asked you are you a law enforcement? You said yes. I'm a US Marshal. That is that's illegal. That's a felony. Oh, absolutely not. We don't play around with this. I'm not I am I drive a limousine. I deal with all sorts of clowns on the on you display yourself as a marshal. You're identifying yourself as a marshall. You're wearing a badge that's fake that you know is not real and you're carrying around a fake gun. What do you think people are supposed to think of you? They're going to think you're a law enforcement officer and then not question you twice when you walk into Best Buy and steal stuff. Do you have ID on? No. He's got some credit cards. Let me put this other one. You want to contact the marshals? I'd kill him. Absolutely. You mean to see if Marshall's want to be contacting? Yeah. Careful. Got to pull those apart. Hey man. Hey. Uh myself, Lady, and Marino are out here at Best Buy. Uh the it was a delayed uh theft. He actually did before, but they never filed a report. They just want to trespass. But while we're escorting him, he has a small US Marshal little uh lapel pin on. Alex noticed the B a bulge on his right side. And Alex asked if he's armed. He goes, "Yes." And we go, "You law enforcement?" He goes, "Yes, we just marsh." Well, it's a fake gun. The badge looks real. And he said he's a limo driver. He is not a marshal. So, do you want us to contact Marshalls? I have him come look at this. This what this badge look Oh yeah, absolutely. This guy I mean the badge looks authentic. Well, because he said Yeah, because he he admitted that he's he's uh notable. He's carrying a fake gun and Oh, absolutely. Is Israel working today? What's his uh call sign on the radio? In the end, charges were formally filed against O'Grady alleging one count of impersonation of an officer of the United States. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four months incarceration followed by one year of supervised release and a $100 special assessment. Since his release from prison, he is currently on probation. So, I'm going to look it up. The chief of police actually knows. Yeah, I I'll I'll call him on his cell phone right now. I have his number and I will call him question real fast. Have I done anything illegal? It's just we're going to try to find out who like what this is. We're not saying you've done Yeah. So, well, I want to verify that. So, you know what? I'll have my sergeant come out here. CB35. This guy's You want to go by Can you have uh Robert here? Never even heard of the He just told you, right? That's fine. It's hard. That's what I don't do. That's fine. People are concerned. So, that that's that's why we're here doing our job. These people it's not a huge deal like at all. Like we're just trying to figure out what I'm trying to figure out is I don't know. What statute are we? Yeah, he was statue. What are we violating? Well, if you're not law enforcement or certified, then we have a problem. How's that? Because you can't open carry and all that. I'm not open carry. What is that on your head? Florida statute 97. In the city of Tampa, Florida, a policeman who claimed to be an ex-military serviceman drew attention for all reasons. However, the investigating officer wasn't buying his story. Supervisor is on his way. He will be more than happy to explain and that's how it's going to be. Okay. And don't take it wrong. I'm not upset with you. I understand you have your job to do, but we haven't violated any statutes or laws. Is that is when you ran all the stuff, is that who it is? Yeah. Okay. Let me just show you this picture. Yeah. Let me just show you this picture real quick. So, it's just this is you. We know this is you, right? And what does that have to do with anything? Okay. Yeah. What does that have to do with the Well, because you want a 2829 on a tag and comes back with a 27. You don't think I don't know that? Okay. You don't think I don't know how the state of Florida runs? The Guess what? Here's the funny thing before the weird thing is is that you think you know, I served as a cop and then I served for 12 years in the US Army as a major. First, just because I did something wrong and there was an error because my brother was killed and I went home and got drunk at a park and a girl lied about who she was. That doesn't change who I am. Here's the deal. You're like being super confident right now. That's because we're pulled up instead of just writing a tag. We pulled up That's what we do though. That's what police do. We're supposed to get that. I mean, we're not judging him based on something that happened in the past. We're judging him based on how he's acting right now. Well, we're judging him, not you, but him based on the fact that if he were a law enforcement officer or security person, anytime I'm ever asked for any credential or cooperation, I just do it cuz I have nothing to hide. So, you become confrontational. So, because because I need to know who Metro Well, you don't have to give it. You can walk away if you like. If you would like to leave, you are free to leave. Okay? Cuz you're not dressed in something that looks policeish. At the end of the day, my uniform doesn't say for 12 years. I bought my business in Orange County and Central Florida. Are you the business owner? I am. Okay, cool. Awesome. So, that's all we're wanting to do is verify it. Came in as a suspicious situation. We're looking at it. You have your cell phone since you you like to use that. You can go ahead and pull up Florida license, fictitious name, pull up metro state. I'll pop up as the owner. That's fine. And if that's the case, then that's cool. It's like not an issue to be upset about. Like we're used to the road at the end of the day, right? Okay. Yeah, that's what I mean. But here's the thing. Here's the question. Am I free to go at this point? Wait till my supervisor gets here and then I'll let him decide. I'm being nice by standing here. And I am being nice by standing here because by law I don't have to stand here and I can walk away from you or get on my bike and ride away right now. So I'm being nice. I'm not trying to be confrontational. That's awesome. And it looks legit. It looks like an actual car. It is. So if you'd like and you can also call Orange County. That's how my guys go to funerals. This is This is what we do. We've been doing it for a very long time. Are you his business partner? Yes, I am. Okay. Gotcha. I was like your guys. Yeah. That's why I was like, "So, how long has this company been around?" I' honestly I've never seen this before. This for 8 years. Okay. And has this happened before? Yes. Okay. So then, yeah. Never used that. I never used it. That's why I'm being nice. Yeah. But we have never like Here's the thing. I I know my Florida statues very very very well. So, yeah. You know, so all we Yeah. I mean, they called and were like, "Is he impersonating whatever?" Sure. The [ __ ] up. you know, they're they have to worry about ports of water and airports. So, customs issues. They have a lot going on, right? Yeah. But, I mean, you can understand like we didn't just see you walking down the road like, "Oh my god." You know, blah blah blah. They've already run all your information. That's what they do. They probably have more information on you. I don't know what's your It's your 52. Okay. Yeah, it's just this guy. He is saying he's the owner of some Metro State services, special services. He said he just got done doing a funeral in Bushnull, I think he said, and they stopped down here to have lunch. We got a call from US Customs because they thought this person was impersonating a police officer. dispatch got the tag off the motorcycle that he has and it shows that he's a defender. So that's a problem. You can't be a and a cop. And that's what we're trying to verify right now. He said, "No, we do um transports for funerals all the time. You know, we just stopping, have some lunches, girlfriends with him right now um down here in Eore. She's in school or whatever." But you know, we ask for the IDs to verify who they are. And he's super confrontational. He's like, "I, you know, I know my statute." And he's like, "I'm being knifed by standing here." And you know, his court was Yeah. Yeah. We we ran the D off the tag and that's how I knew who he was coming out of the out of Buffalo Wild Wings, of course. And the uniform. He's walking on here with something that looks like a gun. He's got two sets of handcuffs. You know, we didn't just see you walking down the road and like, "Oh my god." You know, blah blah blah. They've already run all your information. Apparently, that's what they do. They probably have more information on everybody than I do because every time I leave the country cuz I see that I own a house in Egypt. So every time I leave the country and come back. Yeah. They keep me for good a couple hours in customs and immigration. So of course they have my Why do they keep you? Because of where you make sure I'm not bringing guns and bombs and because I because I'm actually Muslim and I own a house in Egypt. So Okay. I'm a terrorist. So Oh, okay. Well, I don't know anything about that. the airport aspect of it. I mean, every time we come back, it's it's we have to stay in the airport for almost 2 three hours actually. So, you've had this company for eight years and this has happened before. Okay. All the time. Well, it makes sense. Okay. So, I mean, when we get the call, it comes out like 10 times more dramatic than watches like we have a officer downtown. Well, yeah, possibly, you know, and then they like put all this information out like the information that they get and we're like, "Oh my god." You know, of course, is it going to be that situation? Probably not. So, you know, but you were upset to come out and ask questions off. You don't have to be scared. I know you're just a security officer. You can step out since you called. Oh, let me see. I know you're a security officer. You're fine. What's up? We're on federal property here. Okay. What does that mean to me? Have I committed a crime? Security officer. I want to know why you took a picture of the CBP sign with your bike. What the kind of federal law is that? You better figure out real fast security officer who you are. Go ahead. Go get a federal agent now. Go get a homeland security officer. We just don't know who you are. I don't know who I am. You don't have to. Have I entered your facility? We don't know. Have I entered your facility? Yes or no? Security officer. Dude, you're representing like not well. Okay, listen. You're not representing your company well right now. Okay. Is he a security officer? No, he's not. According to Florida law, impersonating a law enforcement officer can lead to stringent legal consequences with penalties up to $5,000 and imprisonment from 5 years to 30 years with probation from 5 years to 30 years depending upon the case status. But this man failed to assess the gravity of the situation. I can't act that type of way. I can't, you know, see that's the great thing because I used to wear that and then then I joined the army and then this is where I am now because because a girl lied to me and the state felt that they would drop her because guess what the funny thing is is they arrested her for giving a fake ID to a police officer. But they dropped her charges so they could So I like you. You're like I just I'm too old for any BS at this point. I'm tired. It's hot. It's summer. Let's just cut to the chase of everything, you know, like I'm not judging you on your past, but yes, we want to figure out what's going on. We understand that. So, ferocious. How are you? Good. How are you? Good. How you doing? So, this is our boss. So, what had happened was we get a call from customs saying that the this gentleman is dressed like an officer and he's not an officer. They had concerns that he was impersonating an officer, maybe us or whatever, or made something up. We don't know. These people here own this company, which is Metro State. I guess it's a legitimate company per Google. Um I don't know. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Yeah. So anyways, um and then uh what h you are a hotthead for sure because he got pissed with them over here and their jurisdiction is right here. This is this is their this is their jurisdiction right here. They they got pissed because when he took a picture, we were trying to make sure like that he wasn't impersonating the cop. You guys are going to go and wow, huh? They said we already found that out. Yeah, they told us you were over there. That's how we knew you were there. I mean, we didn't just I'm glad we met you and then we were waiting on supervisor and then Oh, where um I'm not sure. I just know when I ran the tag and then I ran his like they attached the the 28 and 20 29 to the thing, it showed that he offender. So, and he said it himself he's he's like, you know, based on my past or whatever, I'm thinking the cops can't be a sex offender. That's that's how we're at all this stuff though, right? And then any complaints that you It It looks like one, but no, it's not. It It has like something some kind of almost like the sim guns that we used. I don't know, a projectile. Right. Right. Right. Right. We were just trying to verify, you know, all the stuff before we let them go. And then the US Customs people came out here, the Department of Homeland Security people came out here and it was this big 41. Yeah. No, we're here. Corporal just pulled up and he was talking to him. So that's where we Okay. Okay. Perfect. All right. Sergeant's on seven. He said and then these people came out. So I think you wanted to talk to our sergeant or something, right? Well, as long as we're free to go, we're good to go. We hate when people try to top flight security try to overstep their boundaries. Like we know our staff if we overstepped our boundaries we'd be tempted for impersonating. So but because he's a federal employee which although he's a security officer, he's a federal security officer. His jurisdiction ends here. The investigation came to an end when the Tampa police discovered the truth. The man identified as Jeremy Dwit was hiding his reality behind the curtains of innocence in the hope that he won't be caught. But old habits die hard. Despite being caught, Dwit went on to do the very same thing again. Don't reach for that firearm. Walk away from your bike. Keep your hands up. Keep your hands up. Go down to your knees. Do not reach for that firearm. Do not reach for that firearm. Go down to your knees. Go down to your stomach. Do not reach for that firearm. Go down to your stomach now. Do not reach for that firearm. This time, Dewit was seen carrying a firearm openly while driving along the highway since he already had a bad record of impersonating cops. The deputy officer immediately took him into custody. Okay. Thanks. Appreciate it. Um, here here's the thing, too. My camera's going. When you get him in the car, do not discuss anything with him. Don't talk to him. He's gonna be running this all the way. Ignore it. Okay. How is that concealed? Sergeant, how is that? Okay, Jeremy, we're going to go ahead and stand up and go back to the car. Ready? 1 2 3. So, Sergeant, how is it concealed? If I wasn't wearing a jacket and you rode up next to me and you clearly saw it, how is it concealed? Can you answer that? Sergeant, I'm asking you. How is it concealed? If it was in plain view, how is it concealed? I'm going to I'm going to search for Okay. Right here. You're you're you're you're destroying my business by doing what you're doing. And I didn't do anything illegal today. I'm not wearing anything over my belt. I'm not hiding anything. You rolled up next to me and you clearly saw it on my hip. So, how is that carrying a concealed weapon? It's not even a weapon. It's for less legal purposes, self-defense purposes. How is that illegal? Sergeant, I'm asking you a question. You have enough cars here to protect us from the accident. So, explain that to me. If it's in plain view, when exactly was it concealed? If it's on my belt, your weapon's on your belt. Is that concealed? Sergeant Officer Alexander, your weapon's on your belt. Is concealed? Can you clearly see that? Those are I'm a little confused. Sergeant, there's nothing. You got no knives in your boots, right? No. You want to check the boots? Yeah. You want to take the gloves off, Jimmy? Tell me. Can you answer that for me, please? If if if I'm wearing my weapon in plain view, how is it how is it concealed? Nothing. Sergeant Sergeant Middle, I already explained it to you. I'm not going to discuss it here. You didn't explain it to me. You're charging me for a concealed weapon. Okay, but what did I tell you? We'll discuss this back at the station. I'm not going to discuss it out here with you. Just go ahead and get in there. Check the pockets. You're towing my bike and you're putting me into custody for a concealed weapon when it was in plain view. Dewit claimed that he was not intending to use the device for personal protection, rather for the appearance only. Since Dwit was a convicted felon, he's not allowed to carry any type of concealed weapons. Especially by the same sergeant that has multiply charge have charged me multiple times for things that are not valid. What we'll get to that when you Well, Sergeant Miller has charged me multiple times for a person locker as you know and all the videos that haven't been edited by a company that those videos were given by the police department. Those videos weren't received by that company that's on uh YouTube. that company received those illegally. We received packet bombs in the mail. We received all kinds of death threats in the mail. And yet, never at once have I actually been convicted of anything that they're saying. And in fact, the deputy that arrested me yesterday is the deputy that's been instrumenting this whole case against me for the last 2 years. Other than the fact he dragged me down I4 took his gun out of my face. We'll have to figure that out. The sheriff's office wants to do because that's I'm a very reasonable person even though I have gun in my face. Hey, Jeremy, can I ask you one question? Sure. As some as the owner of the company, maybe it's time just to sit behind the desk and have other people do the escort duties. You know, the problem with that is is every time I send my guys out, the same deputy then harasses those guys as well. So, unfortunately, I can't take the chance. I'm one of those people that believe that I need to lead by example, not let people go out and run things, especially when they're out on the street and they're getting pulled over and harassed by the same deputy, receiving tickets by the same deputy. So, it's interesting to me that he would make that statement because one of my employees that did work for me that now is flipping state evidence. Sergeant Bidder got him a job over at PCI security. So, he would turn states evidence against me so he would stop working for me, which is kind of funny because that violates all kinds of state rules and laws that you can't offer somebody something to then have them testify against an individ. But that's their number one state lead witness. So, but he's got a job at PCI security and got him that job. Yeah, I wouldn't count on you getting your stuff back. Just giving you a heads up cuz the uh whichever deputy arrested you and took custody of your property, they'll have to release the property obviously and then it obviously you have to come here, right? You have to release the property and then you can come and get it. So, we'll figure it out. Is probably not very happy. But at least we'll give them a heads up. That way they can get with the deputy and they can release the property to you and I can give you the phone number if you need it. more spots over there. I'm going to park over here. Transport one. All right. Get you out of here. [Music] Well, you're very lucky. Why is that? Oh, for the truck. Yeah. Let me see if she's got the case number. Jen, you got the cake number and then the actual property that you need. Yeah, the case number, huh? [Music] You happen to have the case number so I can let them know see what's going on. Dwit was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail on $5,000 bond. In September 2021, he was sentenced to 18 months in jail, had his driving license suspended for 6 months, and was sentenced to 4 years of probation. After being released from jail around August 2022, he was arrested on November 29th, 2022 by Oyola County Sheriff's Office for violating his probation conditions. In 2023 and 2024, he was arrested several times on insurance fraud charges and failure to report online accounts and vehicles. On November 1st, 2024, he was convicted and sentenced to nearly 7 years in prison by a jury for failure to register a new motor vehicle as a past defender. On January 7th, 2025, Dewit was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison, plus one year of supervised release and $70,000 in restitution for filing false tax returns. One can try to prolong the truth, but cannot bury it forever. [Music]
