As summer comes closer and closer, the idea of a fun vacation is beginning to come to the front of many people's minds. Enjoying the sun, getting tan, and for some people causing chaos. Today we are looking at a series of cases to get you in the vacation mood and to remind you what not to do on your next trip. To begin, we are visiting Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sanduski, Ohio. On September 23rd, 2023, police were called to the park due to a possible domestic altercation in the parking lot. This is what they saw. Acting crazy against me. He drove our car and she started turning off the car cuz she bought the car. So I went outside with my buddy and I had a drink and I end up every time you you shun me for your friends. I know. But oh, you want to We're not We're not going to do that, though. We're not going to be here arguing. We're here to handle what what it is. I want to say that I grabbed you. I have multiple people saying that you guys are fighting arguing with me because cuz you left her to go with your friend inside Cedar Point. And you both are drunk. So, you're both feelings are definitely heightened right now because you guys have been drinking. 803. What did you see? Everything that since they pulled in, I've been sitting here. They were pulled at each other. She did like violence. I mean, they were getting out of each other. They were getting in and out of our outside. There's kids. We're all picking up our kids at work. Like, you like a thousand times, but they were both beating at each other. Hammer. There was someone else with him. He took off when he saw you guys. So they were physically like hitting up her and him and him and her. According to Ohio Revised Code number 2935.03, officers are able to make an arrest or detain a suspect without a warrant if they have probable cause to believe a domestic violence offense has occurred. In this case, the witness statement is all they need since she is the only sober person involved and would have no reason to lie about the situation. Make me the bad guy and I am always here. So, basically, I was detained here cuz she wouldn't stop screaming. They're both drunk. They both been beating on each other the whole time here. Uh, don't really know who the primary person is. She's pissed off at him because he left her to go inside with his friends. He's drunk. She's belligerent. Uh, she was out here the whole time. Um, and basically to say they were like beating on each other. They're married. I'm just going to take them both. Put him in cuffs and then we can uh Why don't you just take one of them to go get the cruiser and then bring the cruiser here and we being arrested for domestic. What did I do? You were out here whailing on each other the whole time. Other witnesses were out here with who literally I not doing this with you guys. You guys are drone adults acting like children out here. I never touched her one time. Are you kidding me? Can I call my dad or brother? Cuz someone's going to come bail me out. No, that I never touch her one time. So, who got the keys to your cruiser? He gets weekends, but he does drive him to Boseis from Bsyrus to Belleview to take him to school sometimes. Can I please let him know to take him to school on Monday if I'm still in jail? Yeah. Well, I mean, you'll have a bond here. It is fun. I was like just sitting here shopping. Yeah. Um I was waiting to pick up my daughter from work and they pulled in. And they were arguing already when they pulled in and then there was someone else with them like he took off. Um and they were just screaming and then he him and his friend got out the car and was out there like I mean forever. She's prying her eyes out. He gets back in the car with his leg on her and then she starts doing it. I mean they were both beating on each other. This is this went on for 20 minutes. They were out here doing this and I mean we have our our kids are 14. They're out here like like it was just crazy. And then as soon as she pulled up, they were like, "Don't tell him I drug. Please don't tell like literally and I guess they did correctly like I'm not crazy." No, no, no, no, no, no. They both are on each other, both of them. In the end, both were charged with domestic violence because of the key witnesses testimony. The wife faces an additional charge of resisting arrest. Next, we head over to Daytona Beach in Florida. On March 16th, 2024, police were called due to a couple who were seen drinking alcohol, which is illegal on the beach, and acting belligerent. There were also reports of children with them who were not being looked after. Up guys, sheriff's office, time to wake up. Time to wake up. Hey guys. Yep. Time to wake up, Les. So, needless to say, leaving a 7 and 8-year-old child alone on the beach while you nap isn't the best idea. Under Florida law, this is taken very seriously and the couple now face charges of child neglect. While this is a misdemeanor in most cases, if harm befalls the children, it could be a felony offense. Boys, girls, boy and a girl. Boy and a girl. Okay. You don't know where they are. You got everything else. She passed out. You're supposed to be watching the kids. So, secret up there. I tried. [Music] What happened to your hand? It's work. Work? Yeah. Hey, wake up. Wake up. In the end, they were both charged with misdemeanor child neglect as the children were safely located by the Daytona Police Department. The man was also charged with attempting to flee the police as well as possession of alcohol on the beach. On August 14th, 2022 at Cedar Point, police were called to the Ferris Wheel after four people, including two as young as 15, witnessed a couple engaging in multiple sex acts while on the ride. Let's see what the couple has to say for themselves. Were you guys banging on that ride? No, honey. I listen. So, my cigarettes, I have shorts on beneath my dress, first off, so there is no easy access that's happening here. And I have them in my pocket in the shorts. They fell out. I bent over to retrieve them on the ride. Why was he behind you then? He was trying to help me because they were clear across the ride. I'm going to go I'm going to go talk to the young girls who saw it and see what they thought they saw. See what they say. Um and then we'll go from there. Hi. Hi. So like okay like she was on her hand [Applause] and we could feel like shaking. There were two of us looking one way and two of us the other way. Like when we looked back like it was got naked. In Ohio, public indecency is typically a thirdderee misdemeanor. However, because minors are present and they clearly saw everything, their charges may be upgraded to seconddegree, which can carry a much stronger penalty. So, how how long did you guys ride this ride? Four minutes, maybe. How many times did you guys go around? Go around. Maybe three. Okay. So, why can those girls, two of them are juveniles, describe to me your guys' private parts? Describe them. Yeah. I have shorts on like I told you. I don't I understand. But so listen, this is what I'm going to do for you, okay? You understand that there's cameras and I can watch those cameras and see. So just tell me the truth cuz I know you're lying. I don't So So four four juvenile girls are just going to make That's like juvenile. Two of them are two two of them are 18 and two of them are juvenile. So when I watch those cameras, I'm not going to see you guys. You're lying. She wants to tell the truth. Do you understand that you can be arrested for this? It's a It's a It's an N2. Yeah. A misdemeanor of the second degree and you guys can go to jail. cuz you're not from here. And then you'll have to post bond or I can call the judge in no bond since you guys are lying and I know you're lying. It's up to you guys. I'll let you guys talk about it. You're sticking to your story on the cigarettes. Yeah. You may have shaking your butt in front of me a little bit, but whatever that story is changing, huh? Now your story is changing. That's not changing. It's not really. So, I mean, she can't show. She Well, yeah. But you guys have kids. Yeah. Okay. So, I want you to picture when you have kids and your 15year-old comes here and she sees two grown-ups having sex. I mean, that's all right. And she they they saw they saw what they said to me and what they saw. I would be embarrassed. They're who hasn't seen it that they're eight. You know what I'm saying? Don't look at me like that. So you think it's appropriate that they That's not appropriate. That they saw. But these these days So you think it's appropriate that they saw you? I don't. You said they see what they've seen all this stuff. No, I'm not trying to do nothing. You said, "Well, they know. They know." I'm not trying to Well, no, it did not happen. They're calling their I don't know what they're trying to say, but nothing happened. [Applause] Okay. Well, like I told you, some you're going to go to jail. So, what was public indecency? You can't have sex on a ride. Cheers. I gave you the opportunity to tell the truth. You didn't want to. So, all No, I don't have to show you video footage. So, all I have You said you had video. So I don't have to show it to you. No, I don't. No, I don't. Don't tell me how to do my job. Don't even I'm not Did I Don't listen. Are you telling me I did something I did and then you're going to take my job? I have four witnesses. Well, you're both going to jail. So, you have the opportunity to be honest. I don't know. I don't know. I I think that since you guys don't even have any remorse for what you did to those children and how upset they are, like that that's what bothers me and now you're lying to me. You You don't even care what you did to those children. Well, for starters, not only are you at Cedar Point, a popular destination for families, but looking at this map, you can see the Ferris wheel is located directly next to the two most popular kid-friendly lands in the park. Planet Snoopy based on Charlie Brown and Kitty Kingdom. That is to say, it is safe to assume there would be children around you. Why do I know that they were upset? Yeah, why wouldn't they become married? Why wouldn't they be upset? It it would probably be a different story if you guys would have been like, "Yeah, we messed up." You know, because really this is Cedar Point and it's up to me if charges are done or not and I work for the city. So, had you been like, "We didn't mean for people to see us. Like, we've been drinking, you know, but you sat here and blatantly lied to my face and I have these juveniles that are traumatized." [Music] So, this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to go ask them if they want to pursue charges, and if they say yes, you're going to go to jail. If they say no, then you're going to be banned from the park. Like, do you want them to go to jail or do you just want them to leave the park? What would that mean if you wanted them to go to jail? Well, you guys will have to fill out a witness statement. Um, this will probably go to court, so they might call you guys to testify on what you guys saw. So I I can pursue charges, you know, but I don't want to do that and put you guys through more if you know if it's just something that like what are you thinking? But they ended up admitting to that. Yeah, because Yeah. Okay. Well, if they didn't admit it, I wasn't going to give them a choice. Um and I was probably going to contact the judge and have them no bonded because um they're not very remorseful for their actions in my opinion. So they did admit to it. After around 10 minutes of discussing with the victims, they decided to press charges and send both of them to jail. Love you. Love you, baby. Love you. In the end, the charges were dropped by a judge and they were released after paying a combined bond of $350. $50.
