She gotick in it. She got in it. >> And that, my friends, is why you should never drink more than you can handle. >> I can't I can't breathe. I can't breathe. I'm telling you, I cannot breathe. >> Do you need an ambulance? >> I need ambulance. On the 24th of September, 2023, at around 3:15 p.m., deputies pulled over a red Range Rover on US one near mile marker 82 in the Florida Keys after receiving multiple reports [music] of reckless driving. The driver, Deborah Odum, proved to be quite the challenge. Her hostile attitude and reckless actions were just the beginning of a chaotic scene. >> Hello. >> Sorry. >> For what? >> Are you okay? >> Huh? >> All right. We we got a call about your driving that you were having problems staying in the lane. So, and I thought it was weird that you kind of like put your turn signal on and you took a while to figure out where you're going and then when you made the left, you made this really wide turn. You okay? You sure? Okay. You have your license, registration, proof of insurance. >> From the start, she seemed confused and slow to respond. She had trouble staying in her lane, made a wide turn, and kept signaling without actually turning. Deputies suspected she might be impaired. >> Why are you pulling me over? >> Well, I didn't really. I was following you because we got a call about your driving and people were saying, I mean, from from the 100 mile marker, they were calling about a red. Yes. And so when you pulled in here, you made a very >> I'm not going I'm not going to do that. >> You're not going to do what? No. Put your car in park. >> Put your car in park. >> No. >> Car in park now. >> Why? >> Ma'am, put your car in park. >> Why? >> Step out all the way in park. Step out of the car for me. >> Cuz you were about to take off on me and you are now lawfully detained. So please step out of the vehicle. Are you kidding me? >> I'm not kidding you. >> Please step out. >> No. >> No. >> No. >> So, either Listen, step out of the car. I'm giving you a lawful order to step out of the car. >> Then I want to record everything. >> We're recording, too. >> We're recording. We're recording. I want to record everything. >> That's fine. But you need to step out of the car. Step out, please. Please let me record everything. >> No. First you step out of the car, then you record everything. Ma'am, here. >> No. >> Well, you're either >> Really? >> Yes. >> Really? >> Yes. >> So, we've given you several lawful orders for you to step out of the car. You're refusing those orders and I'm telling you to get out of the car right now. >> She's telling me to get out of the car right now. >> Yes. For what? >> Because I'm conducting a DUI investigation. That's why >> DUI? >> Yes. >> Seriously? >> Seriously. We're not joking. As evident by this woman's behavior, it initially took two police officers to even coax her out of the vehicle, but apparently her cell phone was more important than the law itself. One of the officers calmly approached and reminded her that this was a serious situation, not a social media stunt. >> So, here we are. I have breast cancer. I just had my I just had my third treatment of breast cancer. And these people have stopped me. >> Okay. So, >> you think that's cool? >> Well, uh, based on the fact that several people called in that they were concerned about your driving and how you almost hit them. >> I I understand. >> Okay. So, my next question to you is based on the fact that given that I could smell alcohol in your breath, >> okay, you're swaying while you stand. I'm gonna ask if you want to consent to some exercises. >> Of course, I would. But >> Okay. >> But um >> I just lost just lost what? >> This is something with my followers. This level of intoxication and disregard for safety endangered not only herself but everyone around her, turning the road into her personal playground of chaos. >> Why don't we just call Rick and let's just let's just talk to him and let's just just please please. >> Well, I don't I don't understand how the sheriff is going to help you out of this situation >> because I've known him for 10 years and like and like he knows I'm not a [ __ ] Well, nobody has called you that. Nor do we think that let's let's go over here. The questioning only made Deborah more iate as she kept testing the officer's patience by making feeble yet undeniable attempts at bribery. Noticing that her tactics would not work, she did comply with field sobriety tests to deduce how drunk she actually was. a fact she was continuously denying. >> Do me a favor. Turn >> I want to just record it. I just want to record. >> Okay. Well, we're getting >> Turn your car off. >> And listen, we're going to have to take this away from you. >> So, are we refusing to do the rest of these exercises? >> No. Of course. >> Then let's finish them. Of course not. >> Then let's finish. >> I love you guys. Like, I don't want anything. >> I don't want to be in this position either. Okay. >> I don't I also >> No, put Please put the phone down. I want to record all you guys. >> We're recording, too. >> She She acts like she don't want to be like She got my >> I know you did not. >> Listen. All right, we're done. >> You got my license? >> Yes. >> Oh. Oh, here we go. >> And just like that, she tries to snatch her license right out of the deputy's hand. Not the smartest move. That little decision, it earns her a one-way trip straight into handcuffs. >> Cuz this is not going to end well for you. Are you kidding me? >> No, we are not kidding. You >> give me Give me my phone. Can you let him know when >> Give me my phone. >> 6101 code 5. We'll have one in custody. >> Give me my phone. >> Your phone's going with us. >> No. Give me my phone. >> No. >> Give me my phone. >> Your phone will go with you. >> Do you want to take this? >> I'll take it. >> Okay. >> No. Are you certified? >> She she she chose that. like she has got some kind of going on with him. So, oh, we'll just >> really like you're you threatening me? >> No, >> I'm walking place. Stop. >> They ask her to walk like a normal person and [music] she acts like they told her to hike Mount Everest barefoot. Deborah's tantrums remarks quickly devolved into her making no sense, trying to sound crazy [music] formidable. When that didn't work, she decided to reenact a scene straight out of The Exorcist. >> Are you going to walk with me or are we going to have to carry you? >> Stop. My my >> God it. Can I not turn it off? >> We're going to take care of all that. Is there anything other than your phone that you want? >> YOU'RE HURTING ME. YOU'RE HURTING ME. YOU'RE HURTING ME. [laughter] YOU'RE HURTING [screaming] ME. YOU'RE HURTING ME. YOU'RE HURTING ME. YOU [screaming] YOU'RE [screaming] [screaming] [screaming] >> They say it takes a village to raise [music] a child. But with Deborah's insane tantrums, it would take a lot more than just two officers. >> Yeah. Gra. Oh, aren't you so Aren't you so proud? Jesus Christ. Hi. This is This is your This is your [crying] This is your life. This I'm I'm your son's teacher. I'm your son's teacher. This is what they're doing to me. Get this off of me. Get this off of me. >> No. NO. YOU'RE HURT. I CAN'T I CAN'T BREATHE. I can't breathe. I'm telling you. I cannot breathe. >> Do you need an ambulance? >> I need an ambulance. >> 6211. >> She She's hurt me. She's hurt me. She's hurt. >> 6211, can you roll rescue 20 reference? Our arresty is unable to breathe. >> God, you're so sick. You're so sick. YOU'RE SICK. >> Whether it was throwing backhanded insults or acting clinically lobbottomized, Deborah, who was willing to do anything to get out of jail, continued with her rampage, unknowingly digging herself into a deeper grave. >> Can you please just so I can breathe? >> [screaming] >> So, what we're going to do is we're going to turn you on that side. [screaming] [groaning] [screaming] [screaming] >> [screaming] [screaming] >> A few moments later, more deputies and medics show up, probably wondering what kind of circus they just walked into. [crying] >> [crying] [screaming] >> You're hurting me. [screaming] YOU'RE HURTING ME. >> HEY. [screaming] >> HEY. MA'AM. MA'AM. >> MA'AM. MA'AM. [screaming] WE HAD HER now needs to be taken BY HER. >> She didn't want that. >> She hurt me. She hit me. She hit me in the face. >> The deputies calm her down and she finally takes a break from her awful acting. This kind of behavior seriously makes one wonder whether she was crazy or not. But what the officers found soon gave us a definite answer. >> Okay, >> so no injuries. You're just a little embarrassed. >> Sorry. >> Okay. >> She was claiming she couldn't breathe. All right. >> Earlier. >> Okay. >> You liar. >> Okay. >> Okay. Listen. Talk to me. >> No, she's a liar. >> Okay. Talk to me. >> Youing liar. >> Okay. Talk to me. >> Yeah. Why don't you go home? >> Deb. Okay. I'm here. Let's talk. Okay. >> Can I Can I stand you up? >> Of course you can. >> Okay. I'm going to stand you up. All right. >> While they're busy getting Deborah into the patrol car, the other deputies start checking out her vehicle. And boom. right there in plain sight. An open bottle of wine just chilling like it belongs there. But oh no, it doesn't stop there. They find another one that's half full, one that's totally full, and two that are completely empty. At this point, it's less of a traffic stop and more like they just raided the wine aisle at the grocery store. >> Hey, we got we got more wine here, but it's not open. So, after they find her private wine collection, you'd think Deborah might calm down a bit, but [music] nope. Once she's in the back of the patrol car, she turns it up to level 10. SHE'S CHOKING ME. SHE'S CHOKING ME. SHE'S CHOKING ME. SHE'S CHOKING ME. [screaming] >> HEY, DEBBIE. >> Fix >> Debbie. Debbie, Deb, Deborah, can I talk to you real quick? >> They finally calm Deborah down and head to the station for the breathalyzer. Kind of like Walt trying to keep Jesse from blowing up the lab. Total chaos, but somehow it works. >> You act You act like I'm some kind of crazy person. Just stop. Stop. Stop. Let go of me. Let go of me. >> PLEASE. WE'RE NOT WE'RE NOT going to do this again. We are not going to do this again. >> No, we good. >> No, we're good. >> Come on. Sit. >> Stop. >> Stop. >> No. Stop it. If you bite me, >> you're going to get another charge. Okay. So, stop. Just when you think it can't get any crazier, Deborah decides to try and sink her teeth into a deputy. Yeah, like we needed a liveaction version of Jaws in the squad car. >> YOU'RE CHOKING ME. >> NOBODY'S CHOKING ME. >> YOU'RE CHOKING ME. >> No one's choking you, Dad. Relax. >> You're choking me. Relax. >> Oh my god. You're choking me. >> You guys have your ID? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, I have stupid. >> Time for the breathalyzer. Can you please open your mouth for me so I can make sure you don't have >> Please open your mouth and shut the up. >> I got to check. >> Can you check Can you just look? >> No, check her mouth. >> Okay. She got in it. She got in it. >> Another episode of Tantrum continues with a glint of racial slurs. >> STOP. STOP. QUIT HURTING ME. [screaming] STOP. >> ARREST TIME. >> OH, WOW. You're so Well, you're so you're you're united. Wow. A black person and a white person. United, but you don't give a about her. You stupid. >> You hate her. You hate her cuz she's black. You can't stand it cuz she gets everything that you think. >> Oh, wait. Hold on. I got one more thing out. >> Oh yeah. >> Yeah. >> One more thing. >> OH, YEAH. >> DEBORAH. >> YEAH. >> DEBORAH. OH, she gets everything. Oh, she shouldn't get everything. She shouldn't, could she? >> If you refuse to take the test I have, sit down. >> You didn't tell me sit down. >> The truth is none of it would have escalated to this point if Deborah had just complied. She pushed things so far that the officers had no choice but to go all out. >> In English, I don't speak English. I request a U interpreter right now. And if I am denied an interpreter, I will be. >> After all the chaos, it's finally time to take Deborah to jail. She's still not having it. Yelling, fussing, and basically making sure everyone remembers her grand exit. She's asked to take her jewelry off, and she is not having it. >> We have to take the jewelry off. >> It's not going to happen. We don't want to have to stop. >> Oh, there we go. [screaming] READY? WOW. Deborah had finally crossed the line. This was the last straw, and no amount of faint ignorance could save her. Now, the deputies, pushed to their limit, had no choice but to take extra measures, ensuring she couldn't cause any more chaos. >> STOP IT. YOU'RE HURTING ME. You're hurting me, you mother. You're breaking my arm, you mother. Stop me. Get off of me. Get off me. GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. [screaming] GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. GET OFF OF ME. DEBBIE, get off mother. You get my mother. You get out of me. You mother get the off of me. You get the off. >> And after all the yelling, biting, flailing, and dramatic onewoman show, Deborah is finally fully detained. The deputies get her restrained. processed and into the chair. No more running, no more stalling, just silence, a spit mask, and seat belts. It took a whole team, a ton of patience, and probably a headache or two, but they got the job done. Let's just say this ride is officially over. >> Oh. Oh, there we go. Really, >> I'm trying to work for you, not working with me. >> Okay, so we're going to do >> And this is where we ended up. >> I'm trying to work for you now. I'm not doing anything to you. All right, you got to calm down. >> In the end, Deborah Odum was officially charged with DUI and resisting arrest. She later pled no contest, probably a wise move, and got hit with probation, a suspended license, and some hefty fines. And that's a wrap on today's Wild Ride.
