No, no, no, no. Don't shoot. GIVE ME YOUR HANDS. THANK GOODNESS. DON'T LET HIM GET IN. STOP, STOP. STOP. Don't do it. Cut it out. Cut it out. Cut it out. Thank you. Give me that taser now. No, no. Usually it's the police stepping in to help. Their slogan is to serve and protect after all, but every now and then the roles flip and it's everyday people who jump in to lend a helping hand to officers and save the day. Just like when these heroic civilians rescue cops caught on body cam. Fast, dude. Stop. We're testing. >> They put me under arrest. Show me the magic stick. >> You are under arrest. On September 12th, 2024, a police officer was on patrol in Redding, California when he spotted a man speeding and pulled him over. All the officer wanted to do was issue the suspect a speeding ticket, but cooperation was the last thing on his mind. I'm Mr. Keith George Charles Henry 137. Hi, Brian Callen, Redding Police Department. Reason I stopped you is you were going about 60 miles an hour up a Charlie as you passed me. Can I see your license, registration, and insurance, please? I'm I'm not in the process of uh conducting business. Okay, we're not going to play that game, sir. So, if you don't want to identify yourself, I'm just going to place you under arrest and tow your vehicle. I'm traveling right now. Yeah, we're not going to do that. Okay? So, I need to see your ID. And I need to see the registration and insurance on your vehicle, okay? It appeared that the suspect had a copy of the sovereign citizens playbook and as anyone who's a frequent viewer of this channel knows, police officers can't stand that garbage. The officer gave him one more chance to comply, but the suspect wanted to play games instead. What do you want to do? You're going to be placed under arrest. Step out of the vehicle. Out of the vehicle. Hey, bro. That would force him to take a 10-25. Don't. Don't. I'm trying. Don't. Don't. Let me get out. >> Don't. Get Right now, undo your seat belt. Undo your seat belt and get out. I'm traveling, sir. Undo your seat belt. I'm not in I'm not conducting business right now. >> You are under arrest. I'm not conducting >> Get out of your vehicle. Out of your vehicle. Undo your seat belt. Do you understand? The officer had no time for his games. He'd given the suspect a direct order to step out of his vehicle and if he didn't comply soon, things were going to get really bad. Sovereign citizen or not, he was about to learn that no one's above the law. Undo your seat belt and get out of the vehicle. [ __ ] you, man. Undo your seat belt. No. And get out of the vehicle. Don't break my arm. >> I'm not going to break your arm. I don't want to. I want you to get out of the vehicle. If you don't want to get your seat belt off first. Bro, I'm Why don't you just get your seat belt off and we'll and we'll do this? Great. Come on, bro. No. God damn it, dude. I'm not I'm try I'm not You're under arrest. >> business. You're under arrest. >> I'm not conducting business. You're under arrest, okay? No. For what? Show me the magistrate. Yeah, that's where we're going to go. You don't want to identify yourself, so we're going to do that. It was unclear if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but you could certainly be forgiven for thinking substances were to blame for his behavior. After all, what kind of grown adult thinks he can refuse to comply with the police and get away with it? 47, okay. Take another unit. Get off of me, dude. What the is your problem? Stop. Get the [ __ ] off me. Stop. >> GET OFF ME, DUDE. STOP. GET OFF, SCOTT. NO. STOP. >> DAMN IT. WHAT THE RESISTING ME. >> STOP. You are not doing this to me. You pulled me over, that's why. Stop. What the See you. No, dude, you're attacking me, dude. Stop. No. Stop it. GET OFF ME, DUDE. YOU WILL STOP. GET THE [ __ ] OFF OF ME, DUDE. GOD DAMN IT, DUDE. STOP. NO, you stop. Stop. Stop. You Stop. What a completely unhinged sovereign citizen. Did he really think he was going to win the fight? He didn't seem to understand that the more he resisted, the more force the officer was required to use. Thankfully, a concerned citizen witnessed the commotion and rushed to assist the officer. Stop. I got you. Stop. What are you guys doing, dude? You're under arrest. You can't What the Smash my face, dude. >> Stop resisting. Don't put me under arrest. Show me to the magistrate. >> You are under arrest. Got it? What the Yeah. Here, let's get this arm. Stop. You good, bro? Stop. You're burning my face. You got it? It's on my short. This one's on my arm. I got you. I'm traveling. Civilians dropping everything to help an officer is nothing short of heroic. By that point, backup had arrived on the scene to relieve the citizens and help the arresting officer get the suspect in the back of a squad car. What the street? Don't mind me doing anything. I'm traveling right now. You ain't traveling to jail right now. Not in the God nothing. Not in the process of doing nothing business right now. Take it to the city of Manchester, please. Feet in. Do you have any hand sanitizers, though? Wipes? I don't know if I have any wipes. It turns out that the general public despises sovereign citizens almost as much as the police do. Next, with the suspect secured in the back of a police cruiser, the officer reconvened with the good Samaritan who came to his aid. Cool beans. Yeah, I saw you. I was driving this way and this guy said, "Hey, he needs help." So, I pulled over. Oh, well. So, glad I could help. Yeah, me too. I'm Brian. How long were you struggling for with him? Oh, just actually right when you I got him up is when cuz I had him in a twist lock yeah, And I was just holding him there waiting for another unit. >> Yeah. And uh he he kept trying to pull away. He tried trying to reach in and undo his uh undo his car, and his keys, and then he just went crazy. Yeah. So, Good times. Good? Yeah. He's a constitutionalist. Oh. Oh. He'll have time to take care of that in jail. Cool. If you want to just write his name down >> Yeah, what's your name, brother? or actually Here. I just didn't have my I left all my paperwork and stuff out. Yeah, I got it. No, let me let me I'll do it so we don't have to all do subs and stuff. Luke, the good Samaritan, had his head screwed on straight. We need more people like that in society who view the police as public servants, rather than as enemies that we should avoid. The only thing left to do was transport the suspect to jail. Oh, actually, hold on. Good? Yeah, cool. I'm going to Shoot, I got citizens stopping to help, you know? That's how desperate I looked. How are you? What was the guy doing at the Yeah, you're you you're So, what what do you need? I need to be seen see the magistrate and you show >> Yeah, you're going to go to jail. >> Show my victim. Where's my victim right now? Leave. I'm just traveling. Yeah, you're traveling to jail. I'm not in the process of conducting business. I'm a private American. >> Okay, cool. Anything else? You're under arrest. >> have you see the judge? Yeah, whenever the jail gets you over to the jail or to the judge, absolutely. Can I be able to see him right now? Perfect. All right. Thanks, brother. Yep, no problem. The suspect was taken to a local hospital where he was medically cleared before being booked in the Shasta County Jail and charged with resisting and obstructing and unsafe speed for prevailing conditions. On March 12th, 2025, a South [music] Daytona police officer was on patrol when he spotted a green Chevy pickup truck making illegal lane change veering into oncoming traffic narrowly hitting another vehicle head-on. The officer turned on his flashing lights [music] and pulled the vehicle over. Hello. What did I do, boss? What did I do? It's all right. It's the illegal >> to get to work. I got you. It's the illegal change of lane. I got you. Listen, it's the illegal change of lane. All right? >> Okay. I'll be honest with you. I'm not going to bug you too much about it. I got you. But, obviously, I'm right there. The public sees you do it. If I don't do anything about it, they complain. It's my fault. All right? Do you have your license with you? No, I do not. I just Do you have a license? My name is Richard Phillips. I own the A1A Fence Company. All right, hold on. I'll try to make this quick. All right, real quick. Anything illegal in the car as you know about? Hey, man. Stay in your car for me. Yo, stay in your car for me. Yo, no. STAY IN YOUR CAR. CENTRAL, I GOT ONE RUNNING. WHITE MALE. It was beginning to look like the suspect, who introduced himself as Richard Phillips, did have something illegal in his vehicle or more than likely had a warrant out for his arrest. Either way, running from a police officer is never a good decision. North bound on Richwood coming UP TO BABBLE. YOU'RE GOING TO GET TASED. YOU'RE GOING TO GET TASED. >> GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND OR I'LL SHOOT YOU. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND OR I'LL TASE YOUR ASS. GET ON the ground or I'll tase your ass and YOUR BACK. HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. RC CENTRAL 18 taser point. Hands behind your back. Central I have a civilian helping me. 10-10 Thank you, man. Thanks to the civilian's help, the officer had the suspect securely in cuffs. It was perfect timing, too, as the officer was clearly out of breath. But the officer can never be too certain because since the suspect fled, he might also have to put up a fight. What's wrong with you, dude? >> [panting and sighs] >> I got kids, man. Why run? >> [sighs] >> I don't know why. He's here. All right, what's going on? Uh traffic stop, he booked it. He just got out so I ran. All right. >> [sighs] >> Home surveillance systems revealed that the suspect had thrown items as he ran from the officer. But at that point, the arresting officer wasn't aware yet that the chase had been captured on film, so he still had a lot of questions. Did you give me a fake name or is that real? Huh? No. Real? Okay. You're getting two resisting charges. Anything you're going to poke or me? No. Anything pointed or blades? No. Any weapons? You okay? You hurt? No. You said you used a force? Yeah, taser point. Taser point. Anything else? No, I pulled my gun out, but I didn't point it at him. I was just Cuz we heard it. >> [laughter] >> We heard it. You didn't say it on the radio. Did you shoot? Oh, you just said that on the radio, right? But you just said taser point. That's what you said. Okay. Then that was over the radio? He was digging in his hands as he turned I mean digging in his pockets as he turned. >> You're good. Just that he's just asking to make sure we got it. >> yeah, yeah, I'm just You're good. The suspect's real name was actually Kenneth Dempsey, not Richard. Running already made things bad, but giving out a fake name made it worse. Now, he was facing multiple felony charges. And that doesn't include the charges he would be facing for whatever contraband he had discarded during the pursuit. I pulled him over in his truck right over there. Then he gets up he puts the car in reverse it looked like and then he puts it in park. He steps out. He's like I'm like hey get back in the car. He's like oh no, I got to check the tire. I'm like no, get back in your car. Then he takes off around this building. Comes across the street. Runs behind the houses over here. Runs in between and then got him right there. With Kenneth secured in the back of a police cruiser, the officer searched his vehicle. However, aside from a few prescription pill bottles, nothing illegal turned up. And while the officers continued questioning him, his partner showed up with their daughter. I got a warrant for my violation, dude. I was just scared, man. I got two kids at home, my wife. It doesn't work. I just apologize. I didn't make you run and all that. Now, if if you didn't run, I believe me I'd be more than happy to help you. I understand. But we're not doing anything to help you. No, we're We're doing that. Really quick, I do see prescription pill bottles in there. Yeah, I'm going to I'm going to tell you I had it. Okay, are they your are they your bottles? Oh, yeah, those are yeah, those are those are aspirin, B12, those are just Is there anything illegal in the vehicle I should know about? Okay. Do you know him? It's her dad. Okay. I just tracked his phone. Okay. I have to have that truck. He was calling you while he was running, right? No, he wasn't calling me. I tracked his phone. He was on the Oh, well, he was He might have been on the phone when it happened. No, no, he ran and started making phone calls, so Oh, jeez. So, what's going to happen? Well, he's going to jail. He obviously has and plus he has other stuff going on. Yeah, you can't run from the cops. Surprisingly. Yeah, I'm done. Yeah. The woman wanted to take the vehicle, but until the officers had completed their search, it wasn't going anywhere. And although they didn't have concrete evidence yet, they suspected that he had been ditching drugs as he fled. Can I say bye to him? Uh, we're not going to go up there right now. Like I said, they they have a K9 getting out, so we're not we're not going to go up there. Why are you getting a K9? Because of drugs? Because he has drugs? Uh, he This is a work truck. This is my truck. Yeah, that is This is my name. This is my car. I'm sorry. Yeah, well, when he was >> Sorry, my whole life is just >> [screaming] >> Yeah, so I don't I don't know how familiar you are with him, but when you were running he was running, he was reaching in his waistband throwing stuff out, so he's he's we're definitely running a K9. We're we'll figure out what we're doing with the truck after. You're not towing my truck. We're going to figure out what we're doing with the truck after. >> to tell me what you're doing with my truck. Uh, I will I will tell you when we're finished, yeah. >> ahead. Do you have anything that's in the truck that shouldn't be? Shouldn't be, no. Okay. [clears throat] Uh, we're bringing a K9 just to check. Uh, yeah, sure. Um, I mean, there might be a uh, a hole in there, but I think I took that out. Why did you run? Cuz I had a warrant, man. So, you ran because of the warrant? No other reason? No. Didn't have anything on you that you shouldn't have? Okay. That's what I'm saying. I got I had the warrant, man. I'm I'm the only worker in my family. What's the warrant for? Violation of controlled release, C and V. Even [music] if Kenneth didn't have anything illegal in his vehicle, a sweep of his getaway route would surely turn up evidence. But until a K9 arrived on the scene, they continued rummaging through his vehicle. Yeah, you got a 100. 100 on that name. Dude, look down. It says escape. I bet you it's 100. Oh, that's another charge. What? That's another felony charge. What? Suboxone. Oh, yeah. Dude, thank you for not shooting me, man. They said that you seen me going in my pocket to Oh, look. grab my phone so I could call my wife. >> Yeah, I know, but when you're running from the police, it's probably not smart to be digging in your pockets and stuff. I was just trying to get a call in before to her. That's what I'm saying. I could have called my aunt to do it. Thank you for not shooting me, bro. especially in my position, too. No, you dead right. I mean, like that's really really bad stuff. I heard you say I'll shoot. Well, thank you for playing. But I was going in my pocket to get my cell, all right? And do you have a prescription for Suboxone? That's my wife's. That's your wife's Suboxone? >> She's got Yeah, she's got a prescription. >> Listen, man, you can't You can't have that in your in your in your wallet, dude. Now you're in constructive possession of it, and it's not yours. They're going to grab their stuff, and then you can take the car, all right? Um I appreciate you guys letting me take the car. Here's his stuff. Yeah, you got kids and stuff. We're not We're not in business to do that, all right? The only thing left to do was transport him to jail for further processing. He explained that he had just served 20 years in jail, and it really did seem like he had just made a stupid decision in a state of panic. But nevertheless, the law is the law. I get why you ran, but I mean I think you learned by now. You got a warrant for now. Okay, bye. Nowadays, you can't you can't run. Like even if I didn't run after you, they would have drones up in the air in 2 minutes. You know what I mean? It's not like it used to be, man. It's totally different. Straight? 19. And you just got out when? 6 months in November. 6 months ago. What did you get locked up for? An escape. That's what they were just laughing about. On my record, it says escape. What I What I just did, when I ran from you, that was my escape. They'd give me 20 years for that. What? Yeah, bro. I mean, were you in custody? >> No. The same exact way that just happened, but I didn't have a driver's license at that time. So, I ran cuz I didn't have a driver's license. The classification officer officer in in DLC looked at my case and they were like, "How the did you go to prison for 20 years?" Yeah, you took That Hopefully, you learn from that and don't take it to trial. Kenneth Dempsey was charged with resisting without violence, falsifying identification to a law enforcement officer, and possession of drugs without a prescription. On December 18th, 2025, in Ohio, police officers were dispatched to Walmart to assist loss prevention staff in detaining two suspected shoplifters. It was a routine call, but the lengths to which the suspect was willing to go to evade arrest were anything but routine. Let's over here. Come on. Come here, guys. Why do we have to go in here? Come on. Cuz that's the way it is. Have a seat. Stick. Got anything on you? I need to know about while your hands are in your pocket. No, I'm following. I'm going to pat you down real quick, all right? That's cool. Nothing on you that's going to poke me, stab me? No. Okay, go ahead and have a seat. Nothing on you that I need to know about? >> I have this uh No. I see it. I have my cell phone. Bad. What's in there? They only pay for the first five cards. Yeah. All right, turn and face the wall for me. Anything else in there I should know about, my man? Yeah, go on. Notice that while the officer briefly patted down the suspect, he failed to search his backpack, probably because he suspected it contained stolen merchandise, which they would eventually get to. However, after the events that followed, the officer would never make that mistake again. Man, leave. Yeah. Are we going with you? Not unless something crazy happens. There's no doubt that those words would go on to haunt the officer. Remember, the suspects were just being detained over a minor shoplifting infraction. At that point, jail wasn't even on the table, which is exactly why the officer and everyone in the room were completely unprepared for what happened next. I told [music] her not to steal. You didn't see her do it. So, move over on her. I watched you walk over and put an item in the bag off the shelf. HEY! NO, NO, NO, [screaming] NO, NO! NO, SHANE! GIVE ME THAT! GIVE HEY! SHANE, PUT THE GUN GET HIM! GET HIM! GET HIM! GIVE ME YOUR HANDS! NOW! Don't touch it! Do not touch anything. I'm not. I'm not. It's more than likely that the loss prevention officer's quick actions saved the officer's life. The suspect, Shane Newman, literally pulled the trigger two or three times. However, due to a safety feature or potential jam, thankfully, no shots were fired. Shane had successfully transformed a misdemeanor [music] into attempted murder. She has so much worse than so You don't have to give me that right there. >> Yeah, you heard that right. Shane had the audacity to call out the officer for beating him up when just seconds ago he tried to the officer. If anything, Shane should have been grateful that the officer didn't him right there in the loss prevention office. Yeah, I don't know if you have one in the chamber. I'll go grab my camera and take pictures of it. I don't know if this is something I'd want BCI for, but I mean there's no evidence really, but >> [music] >> I mean it's attempted murder. It is attempted murder. He would have Oh, he would have got me. For sure. For a simple For a simple Well, he had a He had a He had a warrant that he lied straight out of his mouth. It was hard to comprehend the amount of sheer stupidity and malice. Shane was willing to take the lives of multiple people to avoid being picked up on a warrant. He was clearly a danger to society and a murderer in the making. He should not walk freely among innocent people. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, cuz that was the first thing I saw. He Yeah, he racked it. He like pulled the trigger, went to rack it. Conrad He like came over cuz I I got up and I was like this. Conrad's on him like, "Get off of him." But then the kid gave up. He had us at covered. Good? Dude. He pointed right at my face and pulled the trigger. Under the seat. Who was in here? All of us. Well, three, APD, me. Uh you're out, so we'll do the investigation. Uh Where they at? Where did you at? All right. She's too audible. All right, [ __ ] I don't know what they want. DB. Uh make us primary on this. The officer was clearly shaken from the attack on his life, and rightfully so. He was lucky to be alive. If the gun hadn't misfired, and if it weren't for the quick actions of the loss prevention employee, that would have been the end of him. As he racked it, Conrad tackled him and [ __ ] fell down. That's Conrad? Yeah. It's not fancy Friday. I have music today. You look very handsome. Do you have any in here? My body camera is on. I'm on the guy, too. Can you get that footage on this computer? Well, we can ID him until we run the track. Well, there's the gun. I'm assuming the jacket is in the right place. Okay. Yeah, I'm good. >> Yeah. There's no doubt that the loss prevention employee, Connor, was the hero of the day. In fact, he should consider a career in law enforcement as he would no doubt be a shoe-in. Next, a supervisor arrived on the scene and was briefed on the shocking events of the day. Get these two for theft. I pat him in here, he's cooperative. He's being kind of weird, but he hands me that full pills. Okay. So, I do pat him down, but I I didn't get his pouch here. So, as I'm sitting there, >> [music] >> Lies Bell's name finally tells me he's got an an inquiry just told me he's got an 187. I didn't even He's armed and dangerous. As soon as he does, he pulls the gun out, puts it to my head, pulls the trigger, it doesn't go off. Conrad [music] comes over here and tackles him. I draw. Um he ends up giving up. I couldn't take a shot cuz Conrad was on him. >> [music] >> Gun's over there. Okay. Leave. Leave. Leave. They have I think they have a suspect. Yeah, there's two There's two suspects. Um he did get struck a couple times with my fist. >> That's fine. That's I had him sit there and Did you Have you the mag or did that just come out when you dropped it? >> when when it fell. Okay. So, he probably didn't have it seated, hence the >> [music] >> jam and Don't forget signing in. While Shane was on his way to jail, the officers realized this wasn't their first run-in with him. He had a long history of drug offenses, which was what he was more than likely attempting to shoot his way out of. He doesn't have a gun. You can hear what his warrants for. I arrested Nothing in seizure so Yeah, you know what? I arrested him, he had 237 bromazolam pills. I got him with trafficking, he went to prison. Yep, those are the Those ones though, those may actually may be uh Xanax. No. Yeah, that's exactly what he was selling when I pulled him over with that girl. Or it was a different girl. The girl was real skinny. Had 237 of them. Did he have a gun, too? No, just had the dope. And he got car [music] theft and unlawful conveyance of weapon and 97-day detention facility. That alone makes him undesirable. Well, I mean, I think his uh big thing's going to be attempted murder of a police >> Well, yeah, but if I can also I'm going to call GAMs cuz if we can put anything federally on him, too, we'll go that route. Due to his reckless and selfish actions, Shane Newman is facing serious charges including attempted murder of a police officer along with weapons violations and related felony charges. On August 3rd, 2023, a woman contacted the New Mexico State Police to report that her SUV had been stolen. Shortly after, an officer spotted the stolen vehicle. But when she attempted a traffic stop, the suspect refused to pull over. 10-4, MA. Location? I'm going um going to be going south on 63. We're almost to I-25. If somebody can set up some spikes right there. He's on the opposite lane of travel right now. He is all over the roadway. I don't know which way to go. >> 10-4, he's right behind me. He just rammed me. He pulled off to the side of the road. He is turning around now. Please let Santa Fe Regional know, I think he's going to try to go back to the house. He violently rammed the officer and began pursuing her for a moment before he turned around and drove off in the opposite direction. Not about to let him get away, the officer reversed course and continued the pursuit. Get off the road. Can he get off the road? He's dangerous. Get off the road. >> 146 The suspect slammed on the brakes and abandoned the vehicle that he stole. The officer, no doubt, feared for her life considering he had rammed her multiple times. He then ran toward the officer's vehicle prompting her to draw her weapon TO DEFEND HERSELF. STOP! I'M GOING TO TAZE YOU, DUDE. STOP. STOP. STOP. STOP. >> STOP. Don't let HIM GET IT. STOP. STOP. STOP. DON'T DO IT. Cut it out. Cut it out. Cut it out. I tase you. Cut it out. Stop. Stop. HE'S TRYING TO STOP. NO, HE'S TRYING TO GRAB MY GUN. >> OTHER CUFF. GET THE OTHER CUFF. Get the other cuff. I tase you. I got him. I got him. Cut it out. WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM? >> I'm diabetic. Stop resisting. It was a good thing that a brave pedestrian stepped in to help as the suspect could have easily hurt the officer, but the fight was far from over. They needed to get the suspect secured in cuffs, which was easier said than done. Get out. Get out. I tase you. Cut it out. Sorry. I'm going to tase you. Stop. Cut it out. Get your hands out. I'm losing YOU. STOP RESISTING. I TASE YOU. I will Stop resisting. Stop trying to bite me. You're losing your job. 146 [snorts] income 1 male detained. We're on 63. That's the two. Hold up. I need to Hold up. I need to check Shut up. >> [screaming] >> SHUT UP. WHATEVER THE SUSPECT WAS EXPERIENCING AT THE time was of little concern for the officer. Her main priority was getting him secured in cuffs so he couldn't hurt anyone. Thankfully, back up arrived on the scene to provide assistance. Yes, thank you. Shut up. Shut up. Turn on my unit. Put your hands up. Shut up. I checked him for weapons, man. Yes, I'm pregnant. So, I need to I need to just be STOP Resisting right now. Up now. Do you understand? Yes. WELL, THEN BE QUIET. He tried HITTING THAT LADY. STOP IT. IT WAS SHOCKING TO HEAR THAT THE officer was pregnant. Extreme stress is known to cause miscarriages and other harmful side effects. The officers turned their attention to getting the suspect's hands cuffed behind his back, which wasn't easy. Okay, I'm going to take one up, but I'm going to hold that wrist like that, okay? Be quiet. Hold up, okay? I told you to Be quiet. Let me check for weapons, okay? Shut up. Stop pulling me back. Stop pulling me back. Okay. Stop. Stop. He tried to grab my gun. Shut up. I don't trust you. Shut up. Be quiet, dude. He [ __ ] hit me. You keep hitting me. It was still unclear whether the man was under the influence of drugs and or alcohol or was experiencing a health-related emergency. He claimed he was diabetic, but nevertheless, he seemed hell-bent on hurting anyone he could get his hands on. Is this him or what? Well, get up. We're going to put you in the unit. Get up. I'm not going We're going to put you in the unit, bro. Get up. Put it. Get over here, okay? Chill, bro. Hey, chill out. Step in there, bro. Step in there. Step in there, man. I'm not going to tell you again. Step in there, bro. Last time. The suspect had attacked their pregnant colleague, [music] so the officers clearly weren't happy about it. After securing him in the back of the police cruiser, they reconvened with their shaken colleague to make sure she was okay. You good? He wanted to hit me for sure. I don't know what you did with the tire. Chill, hey. Take a minute, dude. Take a minute. Hey, it's all good, bro. You did You're good. What he doing? Huh? He is So, I I came out of Old Las Vegas Highway and I saw a white vehicle. I didn't think much, but then I recognized that it was a Navigator cuz I slowed down and he started throwing his hands up and flipped and started taking off. So, I was like, okay. Right here when he When you got here, what he want to do to you? Did he get off and like come to your vehicle? What? >> that lady, dude. He went head-on with the girl with the bike. So, I slammed him and then right after that, he freaking um he stayed going, so I hit him again so he couldn't So, he could like kind of disable. He got off with the tire and he went like this. I got down, pulled my gun, but then I transitioned to the tasers cuz I was going to tase him and [ __ ] No. And then he was going He I thought he was going to take off in my unit, so I rolled down my window. I locked my door. And then um this guy got out and um he tried taking his vehicle and he he held him for me so I could cuff him. Yeah. But he put up like the biggest fight, too. He didn't want to He did not want to hear The biggest thing is you're good, bro. Huh? The thing The good thing is you're good, man. That's all we care about. >> Yeah. I just don't like to get stressed out, man. The suspect was charged with two counts of aggravated battery on a peace officer with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery on a peace officer without bodily harm, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He also faces misdemeanor charges of battery, attempted motor vehicle theft, resisting arrest, criminal damage to property, and reckless driving. On October 9th, 2023, police officers responded to TJ Maxx following reports that three women have been caught on surveillance shoplifting. However, the officers were completely unprepared for what was about to happen next. So, I have three females in the building right now. They have been actively selecting. One of them I have on camera stuffing a black duffel bag that she selected off of the floor. Um one of them is wearing a black jacket. And she does not have a face mask on. The other one is wearing like a red laundry race suit, shorts and shirt shorts. And they're still inside right now? >> in there, but we can't They're still inside the building right now. We can't do anything until they actually cross the threshold. Um they come out the store with our merchandise. But when I was coming out here to coming up here to meet with you, they were still in the kids section selecting out items. While the officer stood near the exit with the loss prevention employee waiting for the shoplifters to pass all points of sale, another officer on standby in the parking lot witnessed an unrelated incident unfolding and intervened. What are you doing? What do you mean what am I doing? Come here. Come here. Hold on. Stop. Turn around. Ah. What are you doing to me? So, try to run to take an associated What are you doing? What the hell do you think you're doing? I'm getting her in the car. [ __ ] You keep on hitting it. Oh, at least they're on top of it. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. an attorney. to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you at no charge. You have the right to stop and answer my any questions at any time. You also have the right to have an attorney present during any questioning. Do you understand your rights? The officer had caught the suspect red-handed and his children. The man tried to deny being physical with the children, but as the officer told him, he saw him hit the child with his own eyes. Is that your husband? The one that has a broken arm? The one that has a broken arm. Is that your husband? Uh-huh. Well, a friend. We're not >> Well, he's probably going to go to jail today. Okay. So, I mean, what happened exactly? Uh I saw him punching that guy multiple times. And I'm not talking about this upon. I'm talking about punching multiple times. We tried telling you that he kept on doing it to him and he >> head. Yeah. It was um it's going to be child Okay. All right. Um which will probably lead to other issues, but um on his side of things. Uh-huh. Uh has he been acting up today or what? >> Um because he wasn't listening. Because he was running in and out of the aisles. And he basically told Well, he said, "Well, you're going to have to come get me if you want me to stop." And then finally, once he did get him, I guess Look, I'm all for I'm all for punishment of kids who act up, but what he was doing was not is not right. It's not It's not within the laws. All right. Um we can go back to your car if you want. The officer was right. There's a big difference between healthy discipline and downright abuse. The officers were now dealing with two ongoing cases in the same parking lot. And while the standby officer was [clears throat] distracted dealing with the abusive father, the three shoplifting suspects exited the store. Is that them? 250, we sure that's not them? She's saying that's them, but they don't have any merchandise. They dropped it inside the store. 10-4. The one in the brown and skinny with the duffel bag. We can't stop them. They're the ones. Come over here. All right. SPRITE! SPRITE! GOD! BLACK DODGE STRATUS FLEEING the scene. ASSAULT ON AN OFFICER! ASSAULT [screaming] ON AN OFFICER! SERGEANT, I'M HERE WITH YOU. SERGEANT, I GOT >> GOD DAMN IT! GOD! ALL RIGHT, JUST hold on, officer. Sergeant, Do you have water in your I got water in my car. Where's your car? Sergeant, turn your camera Well, that was a brazen and ridiculous move. The suspect pepper sprayed the officer before hopping into a getaway vehicle and fleeing the scene. They would definitely be reviewing the surveillance footage and running the license plate of the vehicle, but first, the officer's safety was their primary concern. I got water. I got water. I got water. Can you make Can you make me one? Scene secure. What the I can't get the phone. What's your name? Don't touch my now. Don't touch my now. Don't touch my now. Sergeant, I have your eyes. Here we are. Don't touch my now. Huh? Here we go. Let me tell you what I got to You got to have some paper towels. Did you get sprayed? Yeah. Okay. Can you back up? Here's some water for you to clean your I'm good. >> Do you have any rags or paper towel in your car? >> Yeah, I got a I got a couple of towels. Let me go grab it. I'll be right back. The officer was definitely having a bad day. Pepper spray really hurts and the effects can take hours to wear off. It goes to show you that you can never let your guard down as some shoplifters would be willing to use violence just to escape. Okay. >> One of them pepper sprayed our sergeant. Okay. Uh I have a uh officer here, the one that responded to the call. Um the one of the girls that left when they left here, one of the officers that was on a different call, she pepper sprayed him. I think they were just seeing her seeing them leave leave out of here. They Yeah, there was an officer going I don't know if they caught up with them or not. I've never been sprayed that bad. Yeah, good old city like a god damn post fight. While an officer reviewed surveillance footage inside, back in the parking lot, the officer who was attacked filled his sergeant in on what had occurred. You could be certain that the officers were going to do everything in their power to make sure the suspects faced the full force of the law. So we come for the shoplifting call. Yeah. I see a guy and decking his kid with a full on punch. Which makes sure that kid gets ID. It's the black young black male curly hair. He's the victim. Uh the full on punch challenge. I saw it, witnessed it twice. I see the the girls come out. They looked familiar. They matched the They matched the description. I see them going towards that Avenger. Perfect description from Academy Sports where they stole felony amount. I go up, say, "Hey, come here." At that point, she pulls it, sprays it. Luckily, it was a Thank goodness not a gun. He was right. He was extremely lucky that the woman pulled mace out instead of a loaded gun. It really highlights the dangerous nature of the job. Back inside the store, the officers continued reviewing the surveillance footage to identify the suspects. So, this is the three of them. Okay, this is the one that I have on camera concealing. That's the one I called on. Uh they walked out without anything. There's another female that was already in the store that I was watching. She was the one that was wearing the tan I was telling you about with the tan purse. And I said, "I know she has something. I just can't stop her because I don't have her on concealment." And that's the one there. She, I think she looked pregnant when she came out. Did they actually get anything or is it just the one in the tan that You got the merchandise back though, right? >> That's the That's what they were Right, in the bag. So, when we were here the other day, they stole a bunch of 4T Nike Like 30 sets of [music] like 700 Like $740. Yeah. >> Yes. Yeah. Um but I'm just I just saw that tag. I was like, "2T, okay." Still in the kids clothes. The suspect was charged with retail theft and assault on a first responder. She was arrested in November of 2023 in a different jurisdiction after being caught shoplifting once more. In that separate case, she pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 230 days in jail, followed by 2 years of probation, along with about $5,100 in fines and court costs. As for the incident in this video, the assault on the first responder charge was dropped as part of a plea deal. She pleaded guilty to theft of merchandise valued between 10,000 and 60,000 dollars. On April 25th, 2025, she was ordered to pay over 11,500 dollars in restitution, additional court fees, and ordered to serve two years of probation. On December 20th, 2025, Deputy Miralles was dispatched to a busy intersection following reports that a man named Michael had assaulted a woman. When Deputy Miralles arrived on the scene, he observed Michael acting bizarrely in the middle of the intersection. What are you doing? Get out of the road. Get out of the road. Get out of the road. Dude, if you come up to me, I'm going to taze you. If you come up to me, I'm going to taze you. If you keep coming up to me, I'm going TO TAZE YOU. WE DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS. We don't. Chill out. Listen, chill out, dude. Just chill out. I don't want to do this, bro. Come on. So then, get out of the road and talk to me. Just get out and talk to me. Deputy Miralles made it pretty clear that tazing Michael was the last thing he wanted to do. He didn't know who Michael was, and he hadn't done anything to him. So at that point, he opted to try to de-escalate the situation rather than resort to force. We don't have to do this, man. Okay. Okay. All right. Seriously? Seriously? Okay. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Dude, stop being stupid and just get on the ground. Just get on the ground. Stop. Stop. Just get on the ground. Listen, man. Stop. Seriously. Seriously, just get on the ground. You're going to get tazed. You're going to get tazed. You're going to get tased if you start fighting. You're going to >> [snorts] >> Get on the Here, you can deploy your right. STOP. GET ON the ground. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND, DUDE. STOP BEING STUPID. ALL RIGHT, CHILL, CHILL. A CONCERNED CITIZEN HAD STEPPED IN TO FLANK Michael from behind. And although the officer deployed his taser, Michael was covered in too much heavy winter clothing that it seemed to have no effect at all. Get on the ground. Get on the ground or you're going to get tased. Get on the ground. Stop. Just get on the ground. Stop being stupid, man. Just get on the ground. Get Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Okay, are you going to get ON THE GROUND? ARE you done? Are you done? Okay, get on the ground then. Get on the ground. Stop being stupid. Yeah, it's burning, right? Stop. Hold on, dude. Chill. Chill. Stop. Stop fighting. Stop fighting. I'm going to put you on the ground. At first, it seemed like he was going to comply and let the officer slap the cuffs on him. However, he suddenly changed his mind and began to resist. Thankfully, the officer had back up in the form of two concerned citizens. Dude, get on the ground. Stop being dumb. Yeah, can you grab his legs? Dude, he just snatched it. Got him on the ground. I'm just waiting for back up with this one. If the other car can get back up, be 1077. Almost there, yeah. No, he's all right. He's got it. He's got it. Go ahead and go ahead. All right. Here you go. I appreciate you guys. No, no problem. I'm there. I I worked there with my partner for a while and I saw you guys struggling like, damn, we don't have the bodies we had there. No, we do not. Thanks to the civilians, the officers secured Michael in handcuffs. When citizens step in like that, it actually benefits both the officer and the suspect as the officer doesn't have to rely on force multipliers like tasers and firearms. You're all right? Yeah, I'm good. Yeah, it don't take much. We still rolling in the wet. >> [sighs] >> Jesus Christ, man. All you had to do is cooperate, man. Did I die? No, you're still alive. Yeah, yeah, you you're not going to get off that easy today, son. It don't look that way. I'm sorry. How you doing? Hey, dude. I had to assist. This is evil. You know this is evil. You all right? Put him in the back of your squad car right there. This is evil. Get up with us. Get up with us. I can't walk. I put Come on. I want [music] to I can't move. You can get up. Come on. I got an ambulance coming to come wash your eyes out. Come on. Okay, can you get up so we can sit you down in the car? Come on. Get up. >> I feel so relieved. It's not an emergency. Okay. I just want to see how you how you put the two plain clothes together. All for a male who All right, stay out here for a sec. We'll be back. Deputy Morales thanked the civilians who stepped in to help, telling them he couldn't have done it without them. At the same time, paramedics arrived at the scene to assess Michael's injuries. What's up? He in the car right now on the scene. Well, that'd be fun. Yeah. How many times He he did get tased from the front probes. I think I still on the car. The taser's up there. Okay. Um and then >> pull to get him out, don't you? Yeah, I he he he was really aggressive at first. How do you lock him in in case you got to give him again or what? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. You want those still in then? Probably not. You can you can take them off. All right. All right, thank you, Clara. Sounds good. I'll talk to him and see what he's doing. Okay. Okay. What's going on today? I started uh started some sort of a disturbance at a nearby apartment. >> Okay. All I got details is that he suspect was there. Okay. Shoved somebody. We're going over there to take the complaint. On my way there, stopped at the red light here. I see this guy walking up to the intersection. See the guy walking up to the intersection. And he's just like I'm like waiting to see if he's going to keep walking or not. He doesn't keep walking. He's just in the middle of the intersection just yelling and taunting cars or whatever. Uh-huh. And then uh um I get out of my car. I'm like, "Hey, what's going on?" And he's like right here. circular He just right away he just wants to fight. Michael was struggling in the back of the police cruiser as a result of the mace in his eyes. But at the same time, he refused help from the paramedics. Since the officer couldn't force him to accept treatment, the only thing left to do was transport him to the police station. He don't want anything from us right now, team. Do we have an assist? >> Michael was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer, and standing on a roadway. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, and the other two charges were dismissed. He was ordered to pay $1,348 in fines and court costs. On July 27th, 2024, a police officer was on patrol near Rogers, Arkansas, when she was passed by a drunk 26-year-old Guatemalan going 114 mph. As a result, the officer activated her siren and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect kept speeding ahead. >> That was some ridiculous driving. Typically, when an officer activates their siren, you're supposed to pull over immediately to a safe place. What you're not supposed to do is continue bombing down the highway before deciding to pull over when you feel like it. Hey, hey, hey, get out of the car. Get out of the car. Why are you doing Get out of the car. Get out of the Get out of the car. Get out of the Get out of Get out of the Wait, wait, wait, wait. Get out OF THE CAR. HEY, YOU, HEY. GET OUT. GET OUT. ROLL OVER. ROLL OVER RIGHT NOW. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. Roll over. Why? Roll over. I'm going to pull the trigger. ROLL OVER. >> [screaming] >> ROLL OVER. ROLL OVER. Sometimes one would feel sorry for someone who gets tased, but when it's a reckless idiot like this, it feels a bit satisfying. That, my friends, is justice being served, pure and simple. Roll over. Wait, wait, wait. Roll over ON YOUR STOMACH. ROLL OVER. ROLL OVER ON YOUR STOMACH. OKAY, I'm done. Roll over. Okay. Now. Okay, wait. Roll over. Okay, okay. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. >> No, no, no, no. Roll over. I'm done. Roll over. Okay. Wait. Okay, things weren't looking so funny anymore. The officer was engaged in a wrestling match with the suspect on the side of a busy highway. One wrong move and they could easily be hit by a passing vehicle. And to make matters worse, the suspect was reaching for her taser. >> [groaning] [screaming] >> Okay. Wait. You tased me in the Roll over. Roll over. Wait. Roll over. Why you wait? Why you Why you wait? Why you Wait. Why? Wait. Why you Why you wait? Why? Why you Why you wait? Roll over. Why you Why you Why you wait? Roll over. Why you Why you Why you wait? Roll over. Roll I'm going to make a U-turn. Pull over. I'm going to make a U-turn. I'm going to make a U-turn. Why? No, no, no, no, no. Why? I'm going to make a U-turn. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? I'm going to make I'm going to I'm going to make a U-turn. For whatever reason, the suspect didn't seem to understand why the officer was so upset with him, even though he blew past her going 114 mph and refused to pull over. Thankfully, a good Samaritan witnessed the struggle and pulled over to offer assistance. Why? Give me that taser now. Get on the I'm going to make a U-turn. Look, ma'am, look. Get on your back. >> [groaning] >> Get on your back. Get on your back. Get on your back. Pull over. That's girl power right there. It was really brave of the passerby to jump into the fray like that. If you blinked, you would have missed it, but the officers fired a single shot that grazed the suspect's right temple. An inch to the left and it would have been game over. Thankfully, backup arrived on the scene in the nick of time to help subdue the suspect. The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his wounds. Afterwards, he was released into police custody. Toxicology reports showed the presence of cannabinoids along with a blood alcohol level of 0.16. He was booked into the Benton County Sheriff's Office Detention Center and placed on hold for a Homeland Security investigation. By the end, it wasn't just the bravery of the officers, it was the quick thinking and courage of everyday people that made the difference. In a moment where everything could have gone wrong, they stepped in when it mattered most. When heroic civilians rescue cops caught on body cam.
