Everyone, >> shut up. >> Yeah, buddy. Get your arm out. >> Step out of the car. >> Okay. Why you Why you stepping out of my car? >> Step out of the car. I'm telling you to. >> Hey, you're hurting me. >> Step back here. >> Okay. >> Do you have any weapons on? Don't point in my face. >> Why not point? Don't Don't hurt me. You're hurting me and I didn't do nothing. >> Give me my ID. >> I'm sorry. Give me my name ID. >> You want to stop talking so I can tell you? >> Stay over there. >> Stay over there. >> Go inside. Go inside. Go inside. Get my bag. >> Most fathers would do anything to protect their family. But some think that means showing up loud, proud, and ready to argue with anyone who doesn't play by their rules. But when that attitude meets law enforcement, it rarely ends well. This is what happens when cops take down entitled dads in the act. I lost my kids, dude. I lost my >> I lost my I lost my >> On May 11th, 2024, officers were called to a hotel after reports of a guest causing a disturbance. The guest was a man staying there with his family. When officers arrived, they approached the hotel staff to find out what had gone wrong. >> Hello. Hi friends, >> what's going on? >> We have 2910 and 2909. They both clans. They know each other. The more we're back home is 2910 kids had custody of 2903's kids. >> Uh 2910 kids left his kids on came back to the room. >> 2903 realized he freaked out. We got called up here for a fist fight. When we got up here, they were arguing. They pushed each other back and forth. We got them to separate. Um, I want them both gone. 2903 banging up and down, smacking on elevators, doing all that. 290 wouldn't listen when we said to get back in. I want them both off my property. >> Cool. >> I was serv 2903 cuz he's very intoxicated. Um, he's very and very physically violent. >> The hotel wanted the man from room 2903 out, and they weren't offering second chances. Officers headed to his room to deliver the news. He was about to find out that what he thought was just a minor outburst from him didn't look minor to everyone else. >> Hello. >> How you doing, sir? Anything my partner? >> What's going on, man? >> Huh? >> Nothing. >> My kids were a loss. >> Okay. >> Why is there aggression? >> What do you mean aggression? >> Like, why is all this? cuz you're trying to figure out what was going on. >> I My kids went missing. >> Okay. >> And I tried to find the last people that were with my children, which is my best friend down the hall. >> Okay. >> And his kids wouldn't say where the last place they saw my children. >> Okay. >> So, I kind of lost my trying to understand where the my kids went cuz they were with her kids >> the last time I saw them. Okay. >> So, my kids are now here. We're all good. >> So, can we just go to bed? >> Okay. So, on behalf of the staff of the hotel, they don't want you here anymore. >> I'm sorry. >> They don't want you here anymore. >> They don't want me here anymore. >> So, >> at first, the man seemed genuinely confused, like the whole thing had been blown way out of proportion. But his glazed stare was a warning sign officers didn't intend to ignore. All right. So, we we got to go at 11:00 at night. Like, >> can he go and can I stay here with my kids? Because they told they told me everybody. >> Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me, Josh? >> What the I'm right here, sir. >> I lost my kids. Sir, >> I lost my kids. >> Yeah. Wait, you can't even make eye contact, sir. >> Hey, you're not doing Okay. >> Come on. Come on. What are we going to Where are we going to I don't want to go over there. >> Why Why are you so aggressive with me? >> Because you're making me leave. We have a cheer competition tomorrow morning. >> Relax. >> And now I got to find another place to stay. >> Relax. >> Stop. >> No. We're going to >> stop. >> Don't Don't approach me with your video. >> Okay. >> Go, baby. >> Stop. >> We're going to go somewhere else. Honey, >> be quiet. This is the stupidest I've ever heard in my life. >> Stop. Calm or >> I come. >> I lost my kids and this turned into a you got to go [ __ ] >> Stop >> cuz you're a lower voice. >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. >> That moment of confusion didn't last long. Pride and alcohol pushed him straight into anger. The fact that his kids were right there didn't stop him from yelling and swearing. His wife was trying to hold it together, but she couldn't calm him down, and the tension was building by the second. >> I lost my kids, bro. I was freaking out cuz I lost my kids. >> Okay. >> And now I'm I'm victim to this. >> Have you ever lost your kids before? >> No, I have. >> No. So, you don't know how it feels. You don't know what it would take mentally. I want a good one. >> But you're going to kick me out of this hotel, >> huh? >> Man, pack your stuff. Pack your stuff. We're not going to be here all day. >> Officers stayed steady and silent, letting him unravel on his own. And sure enough, he did. He kept throwing insults at the cops while his wife and kids stood by helplessly. At that point, proving a point mattered more to him than sparing his family from further embarrassment. >> Stop. Josh, can you just >> Josh and his >> Josh? >> I hope I hope I'm wasting a lot of Orlando PD tax dollars [ __ ] >> Here we go. Why? [Music] >> You want to walk me out? You want to hold my hand? >> Keep walking. >> You want to hold my hand? >> Keep walking. >> You want to hold my hand, boy? >> Come on, Dad. What the [ __ ] are you looking at? >> He strolled down the hallway, puffed up with pride, not once turning back to check on his family. Officers had seen this kind of over-the-top, almost comical performance more times than they could count. But this time, the show was about to spiral, and no one would be laughing by the end. >> I lost my kids, dude. I lost my >> I lost my I lost my >> I got this on. [Music] >> All right. This could have been easier. Could have been with your family instead. You want to act a fool? That's fine. >> I'm not acting a fool. You you were the one that's acting a fool. >> I'm I'm okay. I'm not aggressive at all. That's that. >> Hold on. >> I ain't aggressive at all. >> It's cute. When the cuffs came out, the tough guy act fell apart. His wife was shaken and his kids were screaming, but he was too angry to notice. He gave his family a vacation they'll never forget. But for all the wrong reasons, and the officers made sure he understood one thing, actions always have consequences. >> I can take him now. >> Yo, say your ass down. We'll tell you when to go. >> I'm sorry. I thought it was. >> No, stay down. Now you're gonna do what the tell you to do. >> Here we go. Sitting down. Sitting down. Real pretty. >> Is that one good to go? Yeah. Okay. Hold on first. >> Thank you, sir. >> Oh, double lock now. You hold them right there. You all right? >> You good? >> You good? >> Yeah. >> I'm all right. >> Yeah, bro. >> Here we are. [Laughter] The father was charged with battery, disorderly conduct, and battery on a law enforcement officer. He faced charges for sure, but still, it wasn't him who paid the highest price. It was his kids who had to see everything. On April 27th, 2024, officers were dispatched to Charlotte High School in Puna Gorda, Florida after a school bus driver reported a student using a THC vape pen on the ride. By the time officers arrived, the students parents were already at the school after they were informed of their child's behavior. >> Dean's office, they just went downstairs with their daughter. It was quite a disruption on campus. >> All right, I'm in the I'm in the hallway now. Walking out towards the front doors. >> Catch up with them. Did you trespass? >> Absolutely. Ma'am, hold up. Police, hold up. >> I just got the fu for a trespass warning >> and an arrest. You are could be arrested right now. We decided not to. >> Possession of what's nicotine. >> Nicotine. >> Okay. Well, then shut the up and arrest her. Do it. No. What you for? >> No. >> If you can arrest her legally, do it. Calm down. >> I'm trying to calm down. I'm trying to leave. You [ __ ] stopped me. >> You're being trespassed. >> Don't talk to him. Don't talk to him. >> Let me see some information. Get off of me. >> I need to see some information. >> You don't need to see from me. >> You're being trespassed. >> It was clear the father's anger wasn't about the vape pen, but about losing control. In his mind, the school and the cops crossed a line, and he had to step in and reclaim authority no matter the cost. As his behavior grew more erratic, the officer called for backup, knowing full well things were about to get messy. [Music] >> Hey, what happened? >> Fighting one in there. Her husband. >> Hey, stay with her. The her husband's fighting. Everyone, >> shut up. >> Yeah, buddy. Get your arm out. >> Will you knock it off? >> Then what? You're going to smash my >> smash nothing. You're like acting like a child. >> You chased me down the hallway. >> I didn't chase I didn't chase anything. >> Okay. Whatever stands for you. >> Check your physical health now. >> You give a now. Really? >> Now you give a >> You can still look for it. I I had I thought I have it on me somewhere. I'm almost positive. I swear to God, I'm not lying to you. >> The father didn't just resist arrest, he turned it into a spectacle. One moment he was laughing, the next growling like a cartoon villain. It was less about getting away and more about refusing to be humbled. So when his daughter started to spiral too, no one was exactly shocked. >> We got a second part. >> Yeah, the mom's causing a ruckus too outside. >> She's out of control. >> I'm going to go out with the mom. >> Mom's out here too. She's a problem. >> Huh? >> I was standing there when Billy grabbed her grabbed her dad. Huh? The daughter like started swinging on Billy. >> Which one's the daughter? >> She's over by the car. Okay. >> Sit in the truck. >> Where's my dad? >> Right now. >> Stay right over there. We're coming to talk to you next. >> Where's my dad at? >> He's inside. >> With who? A cop. Is he getting arrested? >> Who do you think he's inside with? >> Don'ting do that. Oh, no. >> You stop you and you too. >> You messing with the wronging one, mother. >> What are you resting for a second? >> What are you arresting me for? You can see, you can hear me talking. >> Your mouth. >> What are you arresting me for? >> You can't arrest a minor without telling them. What are you arresting them for? What are you arresting me for? >> Right now, you're being detained. You're being under an investigation. Got it. >> For what? >> You're being under harass. >> Shut your mouth. >> No. >> All right. >> For allegedly swinging on a police officer. >> I was trying to get him off. >> It's not your place. >> It's my dad. >> Okay. >> And now you're going to jail. >> The apple indeed doesn't fall far from the tree. Her loud, defiant resistance during her arrest mirrored her father's own behavior. Meanwhile, her father tried to play it cool, but the sarcasm in his voice made his contempt obvious, and the officer saw right through his fake courtesy. >> Why don't you just cooperate? >> Why is it that I should have to just do whatever you say just because you said it perfect? I wasn't committing any crimes. I was trying to leave this building with my daughter so that this wouldn't happen. >> This wouldn't happen. That's why I wanted to leave the building. That's all I wanted to do. couldn't leave the building. >> Why can't I leave the building? >> Because she was under arrest, right? >> Well, then you could have arrested her. >> You interfere and yet I'm in handcuffs. >> You interfered with the loose. >> Okay. There's no sense in having a conversation. We don't agree. >> No sense at all. >> All right. You can hop on what I'm being arrested for. >> I got no idea. I'm I'm He told me from what it sounds like it just possibly resisting or like obstruction, something like that. But again, I'm just a guy. I got >> I got you. >> I got no idea. >> With the father in the police car, the family drama was far from over. His daughter picked up right where he left off. Bratty, entitled, and loudly offended that anyone dared to hold her accountable. Like her father, she couldn't give up the spotlight that easily. And it was clear she'd had plenty of practice. >> Where did you put my phone at? >> In my head. >> Put it in Put it over here. Don't tell them what to do. Can you please put it over here? >> I'm asking nicely. >> Put it in the truck. >> Your last name. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, you're under arrest. >> I can see that. >> We will go ahead and uh >> put you in the car. Looks like it might be that over. >> Got you. >> Oh, she's not talking and I need it no matter what. >> You, bro. >> Yes, I did. I'm not stupid. >> Go ahead and spread your feet for me. You got anything on your person? In your person? >> No. Cuz when you get to county, they're going to search you. >> No, the answer is no. >> Put your throw body scanner. I just have to tell you. Okay. Any pockets on you? I'm >> coming across your front. All right. Do you have anything in your bra? >> Yes, sir. Thank you. stuff in my truck. >> With both the father and daughter in custody, the officer who'd been there from the start finally had a moment to explain how it all spiraled. The daughter might have been a teenager with no boundaries. But beneath all the shouting and blame, the pattern was hard to miss. She was simply playing the role she learned growing up. So apparently the the daughter started hitting you. >> Yeah. I have to see the video again. >> Well, she's going to go for Bat then. >> And then I I said, "Listen, what the hell was What was happening?" >> I got to him about right there where Dave is. I said, "Hey, where you guys going?" I said, "I'm in the middle of a criminal investigation with her, >> your daughter for what? Arrest her now, motherucker." >> You just cussed us all. >> I said, "Got to calm down. This is a school system." I said, "I'm I need to both of you will be trespassing the school. I need information on both of you. [ __ ] you, man. [ __ ] you, [ __ ] I said, wait, sir. Sure. And then that was it. Once I went like, >> can you go down to that? Okay. >> The officer turned to the mom next. She agreed to leave, but the resentment was clearly there, and she wasn't exactly trying to hide it. >> You are officially trespassed from Charlotte for one year. If you return for any reason, you are going to be under arrest. You understand that? >> Thank you. >> Would you like to wait off campus for your trespass? >> For what trespass? You >> I'm going to issue Well, I'm going to issue you a paper trespass. Would you like to wait off campus? >> Is that how that works? >> Would you like to wait? Yeah, we want we want you off campus. So, would you like to wait off campus or would you like to just go ahead and go with a verbal trespass? >> Um, a verbal is fine. I'm not stupid. >> I didn't say you were stupid. I'm asking you a simple question. You haven't answered it yet. Would you like to leave now or would you like to go off campus? Okay. Have a good day, ma'am. >> The charges piled up quickly. Trespassing, resisting, and more. The funny thing is, all three kept insisting they weren't stupid. Turns out actions speak louder than words and theirs spoke volumes. On May 18th, 2024, officers in Sandusky, Ohio were called to a theme park during a school field trip after a father who wasn't listed as a chaperone or emergency contact showed up demanding to take his daughter home. The officer gave him a chance to explain. The more aggressive you are with your hands, the less likely you're going to talk with his hand. >> I talk with my hand. I'm sorry. Quiet. >> I was telling him I talk with my hands. >> Okay. >> Let's Let's bring it down a little bit. Talk to me about what's going on here. >> Okay. This morning driving from Holly, Michigan. Okay. My daughter came got a trip. >> Tell me I need your phone. >> Okay. Yeah. We need your phone. Okay. This bus driver, she's messaging about how the bus driver going in and out of lane swerving into cars. Okay. I'm following behind the four buses that came from Holly, Michigan. Okay. >> As we're coming into miss or coming into Ohio, leaving Michigan speed go from 70 to 65, then 60 a long way almost all the way here. There's like a couple little spots. >> Doing well 80, but I didn't document that. >> We got here at 9:45. You can see her time stamp thing and how long we would have been here in Ohio. The bus driver is doing 10 miles an hour over with the bus load of kids. That is reckless driving with a bus load of kids. 10. They're saying, "Well, the bus can't go over 70." That's fine. >> But the speed limit 70. That's still 10 miles an hour over the speed limit with the bus load of kids. To me, that's reckless. >> Especially with my daughter on that bus. >> The father talked fast, overexplaining and jumping between timelines, accusations, and half-formed facts. It was like he was building a case no one asked for. He seemed agitated and emotional, but convinced he was doing the right thing to protect his daughter. >> And my daughter is sending the picture. This is from his thing on his part. This is his now. Go to your time stamp thing. We got here at 9:45. See what time that was. We already >> And the mother knows and we cannot and I watched this vehicle run another run this bus run a car off the road. >> It literally came right away. >> I don't care what I have to do. My daughter is not getting on that bus. I didn't want to escort her home. I feel comfortable with that on that bus. I don't feel comfortable with my daughter getting on that bus. >> We are here because you guys feel comfortable her walking around here alone. >> So, it's so your daughter and your stepmom. Okay. >> And I'm making sure she's stay she's making sure she's staying involved too because she does not want her on that bus either. >> Okay. Just give us a few minutes. We'll get this sorted out. Okay. >> Do you want to look at her picture over the speed limit? >> Just a minute, sir. Yeah, we'll look at it. >> Okay. >> While carefully listening to the father's story, the officer tried to sort facts from feelings and figure out what happened. His wife backed him up. So did his daughter, even pulling out photos to prove his point. But once the school rep gave her side of the story, a few red flags started to show. >> So what what is their side? >> So I mean, it's a school. I think he's not on the the list. It can't just take a kid. >> Okay. So, our student information system has no record of him as a parent or as an emergency contact. The expectation that's signed off by a parent by the actual parent is that a student gets on the bus, the student travels home on the bus with us. We live in Michigan, >> right? >> So, the in releasing a student, I can't do that. >> Okay. >> Where's mom? >> So, they have mom on the phone over here. Let let me talk to mom. >> They're I mean their their complaint is that they allegedly have proof that the bus driver is driving reckless and they don't feel safe sending their kid home on the bus. So that's what they that's what their problem is. >> We called the charter bus the complaint. >> Yeah. >> They said are cut out and initially he said the bus was driving 90 miles an hour. >> Right. the bus um company said they cut out at 72. >> Okay. >> So, there's no possibility. And then he's shifted his story a bit since saying his daughter has proof >> that the driver was driving recklessly. >> A bit of confusion started to creep in because if there was no reckless driving, then what exactly was the conflict all about? The father's concern started to feel less about protection and more about justification. Another officer approached them to get in touch with the mom. >> What's mom's What's mom's phone number? >> Um, she want um >> What's your phone number, >> Sarah? Uh, the officer would like to know your phone number >> and all this what's happening with the bus this morning. We let her know cuz she has more say so with the school. She's already contacted the school. This is how long we've been trying to deal with this. They put it off to the last minute. They know we're taking your daughter. I'm like, we've been trying to deal with this >> all day. [Music] Hello. >> Hello. >> Hello. This is Detective Cruz from Saski Police. How we doing? >> The conversation with the mother didn't clear up much. She backed the father and gave her permission. But the rules were clear. Without proper documentation, the school couldn't release the child. And the officer wasn't about to make an exception. I'm with the local community in our hometown. Yeah. >> So that was the thing is like this is an extension of the school. Right. >> Right. >> He's not a custodial parent. So >> they were telling me up there what's going on. So I ran over here and I just I calmed him down till you guys got here. I just told him I said, "Wait, I'm not can't let you walk. We're just going to hold on. Hold on. >> Let's breathe." So >> we were we were just just having that discussion. Like bottom line, she has to go back on the bus. >> We wanted to go on this truck. So, what I'm gonna do is when she goes back on the bus, I'll have our local PD at the school before they arrive. >> I'll call right now and get the sheets up. >> Are Are you traveling with the group? >> I'm No, I'm in my truck. >> You're in your truck? Okay. >> Yeah. And I will stay with the buses because of this. >> Yeah. >> Cuz I've got all my I got my rig and everything in there. So, I'll stay with the bus on the way up cuz this guy's this guy's out of his mind right now. >> Yeah. Clearly, >> the father was still technically cooperative, but the cracks were showing. He wasn't yelling yet, but he'd already decided not to trust anyone. He stopped asking for help and started acting out. And the officers could feel the temperature rising. >> I'll be following over 60. I'm calling 911 and I'm going to say I'm following the bus to have my daughter. >> And I was going to tell you that if you start driving erratically and you say >> I just hope at that time they don't say, "Okay, you get a ticket and my daughter has to stay on the bus." That's the whole >> I don't I don't think the the bus company of the school would have that going either. So, like I said, >> if I actually told you how fast I was driving this morning to try to catch up to the bus because they were in and out of traffic. I can show you a video. I was doing 85 and couldn't catch that damn bus. That bus was number three in line. Guess what bus was first to get here? Hers. Cuz he was driving a rabbit. >> He shouldn't be driving a big bus like that, especially for the kids. The girl was clearly upset, but her father's hug didn't seem to help much. He held on too tightly, like he needed her distress to prove his point. And instead of calming her down, he only made her more afraid. >> Her mom is the emergency contact for the school, >> and her mom her mom is okay with her going on the bus. >> So, the bottom the bottom line is she has to go on the bus >> because we can't we can't override the school's emergency contact system. I get that you're concerned about how this bus driver >> so so so I'm gonna let I'm gonna let you know I'll let her drive the bus. >> How far is your jurisdiction? >> City of Sanduski >> because we get 2 minutes down the road. He's going to be doing I'm going to call 911 and I hope somebody Okay. I'm just saying >> I know but you're starting to yell. >> Okay. Because it makes me she's my daughter and everybody don't give me no >> enough. Don't tell enough. >> I am telling you enough guys. I am sorry, >> but I I do understand she asked her to ride back, but her mother is the one who stepped up and said for us not to take to take her, not allow her on the bus. >> So, and then I Well, Detective Cruz, explain to her. >> Okay, >> step back. >> I can give my daughter a hug. You step back, mother. >> Okay, listen. >> If you open your mouth one more time, you are going for disorderly conduct. >> I can't give her a hug before you can give her a hug. But if you don't melt it off, you're going >> I'm sorry that the people are pushing me away from your girl, >> the cops and everybody. >> I can't stop it. >> I can't rub my door. >> You can give her a hug, but you can't keep mouththing off like this. >> Dad's emotional manipulation was so obvious that even the stepmom had to call him out. His outbursts only showed how powerless and embarrassed he felt. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being about his daughter and started being all about him. >> I don't know what the situation is, but >> they're basically their chief complaint is they don't like the way that one of the bus drivers was driving. So, I don't I can't validate that. So, we're we're basically telling him there's nothing we can do do about that. So, just >> it's probably just an excuse. He want to take her home. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, I get it. [Music] made it very clear. He was trying to get back to his truck a few times. So, if he makes it back there, definitely watch out. >> Yeah. Just >> he followed us down. He followed the buses down here. >> Yeah. I mean, our our jurisdiction is only about 3 miles across. So, once you guys are out of town, if he's causing issues, just call. >> I'll just call HP. >> Yeah. >> By now, it was clear to everyone that the father wasn't just concerned, but obsessive and controlling. He was creating chaos over a situation that didn't really call for it. The officers stuck to protocol, didn't get drawn into the drama, and didn't cross that fine line between empathy and authority. >> I completely understand. And I do. I do. I do. And he he he he's very protective. That's the reason we're here. >> We it she's supposed to be on a school trip coming up here, you know, hanging out with her friends, but he won't let her come this far. >> I have four older kids. They've been here by themselves many times. This is my grandson. Yeah. >> So, you know, I mean, but he's very protective over his girls and it's it's anything. It's like he's afraid something's going to happen to him. So, I I don't know why. >> On his way back to Michigan, the father called 911 again, this time claiming the bus driver was trying to run him off the road. Officers met him at the school and he was arrested for disorderly conduct. He came looking for control, but all he got was a court date. On July 25th, 2024, officers in Futland Park, Florida, responded after a concerned witness reported a man drinking heavily and then driving off with a child in the car. When they located the vehicle, it was already drifting into the bike lane, so they had to pull it over before anyone got hurt. >> Didn't I just tell you about the drive? >> I waited time. >> You waited like 15 minutes. >> It's been like 45 minutes. >> It has not been 45 minutes. I sat in that park. You left the entire It does not matter. Your kid is in the child in the back seat with no seat belt on and you were driving intoxicated. >> I just told him to put him seat belt. >> No. >> Please don't do me like that. You're driving with your child in the car. Yes, you are. Your words are slurred. If you think 45 minutes have passed, you're wrong. >> Please, I miss 45. >> No, step out of the car right there. Trying to ruin my whole life. >> Come here, buddy. Come stand up here with me. Put your hands on my >> Stay right there. >> Even after getting pulled over for dangerous driving, the man, later identified as Anthony, sounded more offended than concerned. In his mind, he'd done the responsible thing, waited a little, sobered up a little, and hit the road. But in reality, he was a drunk dad swerving through traffic with his kid in the back seat. >> So, I know we just talked to you in that parking lot. How long did you say that last? >> It was 30 45 minutes. >> Okay. >> I just trying to make right here. >> Okay. Well, I was good enough. >> I sat in that parking lot. >> I had two drinks. >> According to the car, you had two beers and two shots. That is too much for you to be driving with a child in the car. >> Okay. And it definitely was not 35 minutes because I sat there and watched you drive off. >> And then from there to here, I watched you cross this bike lane three times. I don't agree with that, but okay. That's what you say. >> Okay. Are you willing to participate in field test to see if you allowed to drive? >> I would like to walk home. >> Well, you we're past that point. We told you to walk home from the bus. >> I did, but I waited the time till I was sober enough to drive. You're only You're only allowed two beers. >> But you had two beers and two shots according to the bus. They had a receipt to show me. >> You think I'm drunk? >> Are you willing to participate in fields already? >> Sure. If I have to. Do I have to? >> I mean, it's it's your legal right, but >> I'll shoot him. I'll try. >> Based based off of >> I'm not drunk. I know I'm not drunk. >> Okay. >> Anthony kept insisting he hadn't done anything wrong and definitely wasn't drunk, but his eyes and his speech told a different story. The officers weren't going to play the guessing game, so they put his version of reality to the test. >> Put your feet on this line like this together. Arms down by your side. >> All right. You see the tip of my pen? >> I want you to follow the tip of my pen with your eyes and your eyes only. Keeping your head completely straight forward. Okay. >> Some are going to do the same thing. Okay. You still see the tip of my pen. This time we're going to go up. Follow it with your eyes and your eyes only. Okay. >> I feel that was easy. I wish I was not stressed out so much about drinking a little bit. I really drink a little bit. What they said I drink. I gave one of the drinks like half full back. I don't understand why. >> The first part of the field test went fine and Anthony acted like the whole stop was a waste of time. He believed he was sober and the cops were just overreacting. The officer had seen plenty of drivers pass step one and think they'd beat the system, but that step was just the beginning. >> So, you do nine heel toe steps towards this way. >> Yep. And then you do a series of small steps like I just showed you and do nine back. Okay? Counting out loud. I'm not going to tell you when to stop. Okay? >> Keep your hands down by your side. >> You can begin. I'm sorry for whatever thing I did. I'm very I love that kid more than you could ever imagine. My everything hurt and I was scared to drive. That's the only reason I drive cuz I felt like I had sobered up enough to drive. You told me feel like you're getting up to drive. >> Little by little, the truth coming out of his body was giving him away. His legs trembled just enough to be noticed. His steps were shaky, and his balance wasn't quite there. And still, he didn't seem to grasp the risk he'd put his kid in. But the test wasn't over yet. >> This one's going to be kind of the similar. You're going to tilt your head back and close your eyes when I tell you it begin. And then you're going to >> you're going to estimate the time the passing of 30 seconds. >> Estimate the pass. >> Passing of 30 seconds. >> Easy. >> Okay. >> All right. Start. Yeah. >> All right. Give me one second. No. Hold on. >> You got to tell. I love this this I'm sorry, sir. I know. I know you. >> All right. You ready? Okay. And begin >> now. Right out of time, right? Yeah. I put my likes. I just got a lot of surpris. >> Even though Anthony was sure the test proved he wasn't drunk, the officers saw something else. He couldn't follow simple instructions and his coordination was slipping. So that meant they had to bring out the cuffs. >> All right, go ahead and put your hands on the back. >> My wife is at work at Harbor Chase. Why am I being arrested by >> and child engagement? >> Child. >> What? Why? >> He had a seat belt on. >> You searched him. Son, help me. >> We're going to search you first. Stay right here. Nope. Sir, >> there's so >> Have a seat. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I love you, son. Everything's going to be okay. Okay. >> All right. Promise. I promise you'll be okay. You're going mom. >> Sorry for case. >> No kid should have to watch their dad getting arrested, but that's exactly what his son saw. For a second, he seemed sincere when reassuring his son. But even then, it was hard to say who he was really trying to convince, his kid or himself. >> What you going to do, tough guy? What you going to do, tough guy? >> Yeah, bet. Tough guy [ __ ] with gun. >> I was asking him his name and date of birth so I can >> You hate me anyways. I already seen you, bro. >> What's his last name? >> That's what it is. His last name is Tano. Okay. >> Why you being such a >> You are. You're a grown ass man just like me and you acting like >> Except I don't drive drunk. Especially Okay. Okay. I didn't drive drunk though. That's what you're saying. I just passed and say otherwise. Well, that's you know I ain't drunk. You know I know I know you are drunk. >> Can we take it a break, bro? Please >> just give me his last name. I'm going to close the door and hopefully I don't have to talk to you anymore. >> That's really mean. That's not nice. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Thanks. >> You just called me a [ __ ] Do you think I want to have any words with you? >> No. >> Okay then. >> I'm sorry. >> He wasn't calm anymore. He switched between fake politeness and open hostility. And his tone went from smug to bitter to sarcastic. But the officer stayed completely calm. When Anthony kept pushing, he just closed the door. >> I stay out of trouble 10 years till this lady had two beers. I don't want nothing to do with you. Neither would you, dude. If you're in my situation, you don't understand. You just think you're top of the game cuz you got badge in the gun. I can have a bad I can make iron. It's not stupid. We're iron. So >> you are iron. You guys are actually very important to be honest with you. I don't want to put down you. That's not something I want to ever do cuz y'all important people. But this is not important. I'm not I'm just trying to get home to be with you. My kids, you okay, sweetheart? I'm not talking [ __ ] Okay. >> Okay. Don't call me sweetheart. >> I'm sorry. >> And your son is with his mother. >> That's all I want to hear. Thank you so much. I just want to say thank you to you. Okay. >> Anthony was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and child neglect. He now faces up to a year in prison or possible probation. But no matter how the sentence lands, the damage was already done. And no test in the world can measure what his kid went through that day. On May 10th, 2024, officers in Illinois responded to a 911 call from a woman claiming her ex had shown up at her home unannounced, violating a protective order. He was already pulling away in a Mercedes when police stopped in to investigate. >> How you doing? Can I help you? >> Yeah, we got called to your address. You're causing a disturbance. So >> then you got the address. You go over there to the address. >> No, no, we're going to talk to you. >> We're talking to everybody. >> How can I help you? >> But I want for you to step out of the car right now. >> No, sir. For what reason? >> You going to leave? We're investigating. >> You're investigating? >> Yeah. You got You got ID on you? >> You see anything? >> Do you have an ID on you? >> Before you say anything, what do you need ID? What did I do wrong to you for stop? >> Possible violation of order protection. That's why I'm investigating. So, do you have your ID on you or not? >> I have my ID, but I didn't do nothing wrong. No, you don't have to. >> Are you refusing to identify yourself? >> No, I'm not identifying. Why don't you identify yourself? And I didn't do nothing wrong. >> Because you know what? I want to tell you one thing about you guys. >> I'm I had a court with them and I'm done with them and I'm legally doing whatever I can do. There's my protection. I just got it today from my judge that I can do whatever I want. You guys put protection orders. She puts protection orders. It's done. I don't have nothing. I can go in my house whenever I want and leave whenever I leave. So what are you stopping me for? What I'm just telling you. I can get in the house and leave. What did I do? >> I'm telling you I need your ID right now. >> For what? >> Give me your ID. >> I know. For what reason? What's your reason for asking >> investigating a violation of order protection? I need your identification. >> You're investigating or where's the order of protection that that you have on me? >> I'm going to run your file. I'm file. I need your ID for that. At first, he seemed agitated, but fairly manageable. However, the mask slipped faster than expected. The moment the officer asked for his ID, he turned defensive and offended like someone who felt both entitled and unfairly targeted. >> I did not do nothing with you. I did not do nothing wrong. >> Right now, you are obstructing my investigation and not providing identification. >> You have no You have no investigation to start with with me. I didn't do nothing with you and and you said there's investig There is no investigation. You know that there is nothing between me and you. I'm I walked out of the >> If if you have no border protection, >> I don't have nothing. >> Then I need your ID so I can verify that. >> But but but but wait, you you >> I'm not here to argue with you right now. I need your ID. >> But I want to tell you one thing. You do not know what's going on for you to tell me I have an old protection or not. I didn't do nothing for you to know that I'm What's the reason for you stopping me? I went to the to my house and I left my house. My address, my driver license says that's my house. >> How many times I got to tell you this? >> Yeah. Go ahead. Keep going. Is the fourth time going to work? Give me your ID. >> He kept refusing to hand over his ID, claiming he'd done nothing wrong and trying to turn it into a power play. But then the second officer stepped in and he wasn't in the mood for games. >> I want to talk to your sergeant then. >> Dude, he we need your ID to confirm all this. Okay, >> I need a sergeant. I don't want to talk to you guys. Listen. >> You know what? No. No. Listen to me. Listen to me. >> Last time. Listen. Can you stop talking? >> Yes. Okay. Go ahead. >> August 2022, I was there. I injured my hand. Deal with your dumb ass. I was out of work for 8 months because of you. I need your ID right now. I need your ID. >> Step out of the car right now. >> Before you say that. >> Step out of the car right now. >> I would not step for no reason. >> Step out of the car. >> Step out of the car. I didn't do nothing. >> I'm unbuckling your belt. Step out of the car. >> You do that. You do that. >> Step out of the car. Don't. I'm not playing the game. >> You're violating my rights. >> Step out of the car. >> Put Put your camera on. You're >> on. Step out of the car. >> Why you Why you stepping out of my car? Step out of the car. I'm telling you to. Hey, you're hurting me. >> Step back here. >> Don't hurt. Okay. >> Do you have any weapons on? Don't point in my face. >> I'm not Don't Don't hurt me. You're hurting me and I didn't do nothing. >> I'm going to put you in handcuffs right now. You are being detained. >> For obstruction right now. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Right. Because you've been told four times. This is how it goes. When you refuse to listen to the police >> for what? About what? You have no right. >> Stop talking. Stop talking. We asked for your ID, didn't we? No, you didn't. >> It was a blatant lie and a defiant refusal to cooperate. He wasn't just being difficult, but deliberately challenging the officer's authority. And he had no intention of backing down. >> You're not supposed to touch me by right. You're not supposed to. >> Right now, you're being detained. >> You were told to step out of the car. Right now, you're >> I was not obaining the Jews, nothing. You just told me that I had a fight with you. You said you got hurt from me. You said that. >> Yes, I did. Cuz I did get hurt when you because you were slamming your head off the backseat of a squad car last time you were arrested. >> I never did nothing wrong with you. I never did nothing wrong. You're the ones You guys are stopping me for no reason. >> This is why we're Can I talk? This is why the position we were in Ryan because I don't want to get hurt again. >> Makes sense. Makes sense? >> No, not at all. Makes perfect because I'm not even near you. I'm in my car. >> You have You've been told to come out of the car. >> No, I'm not told. For what reason? You have no right to tell me that. Don't. You have no right. Shut up. Yes, I do. >> Shut up, too. >> Yes. >> Who Who are you to tell me to shut up? It's okay. >> Officer Lupa, that's who. >> Okay. This is my >> You want to stand by here? I'm going to go over there and see what we got. >> Okay. >> Earlier that day, a judge lifted the protection order his family had filed against him. And he showed up at the house almost immediately. Legally, he was allowed to be there. But it was clear he didn't come just for a visit. >> And this is the first day to walk in my house from from 2 years for me to come in. I I'm allowed to and and I got my uh what do you call it on my phone? I got the court order and the judge just signed it today. It's in there. So, you can see that I'm allowed to come to my house. I'm mad. Listen to me. I'm mad at you guys. >> I don't care if you're mad at us. >> Well, you have to care because >> by asking for an ID investig. Listen to me. You're not investigating 911. I'm not listening to you. >> You're not You're not investigating a 911 in the house. You're investigating in the street. >> I didn't do nothing. You're not supposed to stop me unless there's a probable cause. You have no probable cause for me. >> I have absolutely a probable cause. You should go back to college, brush up on your criminal justice degree. >> Okay. See, I didn't do nothing. You have no rights for me. You go to the house. >> You got 911 call. You caused a disturbance in that house. Everyone was freaking out. They called us and say he's trying to leave now. >> So, >> how did you get all that information? >> Through phone. >> Oh, >> that's how 911 works. Yeah. Someone in that house called us, said he's leaving right now. He's in this Mercedes. Okay. >> He caused a disturbance in my house. Yeah. >> So, guess what we did? We saw you leaving and we stopped you. We asked you for your ID. >> What's a disturbance? >> What is a disturbance? >> Don't need to define it for you. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I'm not reciting law on the side of the road here. I'm telling you what. >> Well, you're the one who has to stop me. You have to know your laws. You have to know your laws. >> I know my laws. >> Yeah. You have to explain it to me. What do you mean? You're the one who's >> He insisted there was no reason to detain him, but his tone and defensive posture said otherwise. Annoyed and ranting, he tried a little too hard to sound smart and rational. And the officer saw through the act. >> You don't you don't cause a scene and then leave. >> There is no cause a scene. You guys always say cause a scene. What? Somebody walks in his house, cause a scene. >> You disturb someone enough or they call 911. Simple as that. >> Listen, listen listen. You always say you somebody disturb somebody, call 911. You say, "What did he do? I'm in my house. How is it disturbing?" >> What' you do in the house? You just walked in the house, said, "Hi." >> I just walked in the house. Say, "Yes." Hi. Everything is done. We're divorced and everything is done and the papers are done. >> Cordial. There's no shouting, nothing. He just walked in. He said, "Hi, good morning." >> No. You know what I tell? >> Yes. Yes. The suspect's rambling was getting more arrogant and resentful with every word. He started lecturing the cops as if he was the only one who knew how things should work. The officer barely reacted. He stayed calm, efficient, and fully in control. >> That's why people hate you guys. That's That's why people start hating you guys. That's why they they because they look at you, you're not doing your job right. You just say, "Oh, he said he hit him. He hit him. Oh, did he hit him? Okay, let's back him up." >> You know what? You're just doing anything you want to do. Just And you don't think people don't get mad at that? Do people forget about what you guys do? Now, you know why the law everybody's against the police? Because what they do instead of doing things right, say, "Wait a minute. The guy, you know, you don't see nothing on him. That'll walk away better off for you because you're going to put him in in jail. He's going to get worse with you or he's going to be bad with you or he's not going to like you or he's going to divorce you." Why why escalate the situation? >> Why escalate the situation when you can make it better. You guys can make it better in the streets cuz you're you're here to serve and protect. Serve and protect. His loud and combative attitude started to fade, replaced by a quieter, more manipulative tone. What came next made his new tactic crystal clear. He was trying to make the officers second guess their own judgment. >> I just I I'm just not understanding the point. >> That's okay. >> I just don't understand the point, though. What What What is You going to try to pin on me or put on me for no reason? For no reason. I don't I just don't get it. I just don't get it. >> For you right now, you're not under arrest at the moment. You're detained. >> I'm with you. No, no. I'm say I'm saying you're doing the same thing you did two times. This is the third time. >> I didn't do anything the last two times. >> You always switch whatever you want to switch. I'm just telling you you guys are doing the same thing you're doing all the time. And it's not you guys got to learn better how to do your jobs. That's all I'm saying. And he he wants to be ignorant to say he hurt his head and [ __ ] Then that means you know what? He shouldn't be on a force if he doesn't know how to deal with people. I'm going to be coming to the house every day just to let you guys know that I'm allowed to. That's I'm allowed to come to the house. >> It seemed like he had a lot to say and wasn't going to stop anytime soon. But the officers had a clear duty to perform. Even as they took him into custody, he kept trying to justify his actions and prove he was right. >> All right. So, I have to inform you right now, you are under arrest. >> Why? >> Okay. >> Okay. Wait, come over here. >> Okay, listen. Listen to me, guys. My car. Listen, you can't do that to me. >> Leave your car. >> I need to talk to I need to I need I need my I Listen, >> Sergeant will be at the station. You want to talk to him? >> Listen, guys. Why are you locking me up for no reason? Just walk in the house and leave. I I can't walk in the house and leave. >> There's order protection. >> No, there is not. Look at Look at my Listen, I got my phone on my phone and I haven't been in the house in 2 years. I didn't come here to kill anybody. I came in the house to tell her, "I'm done with you. We're divorced. Please get the hell out of my mother's house. And I walked out. >> His wife told the officers a different story. He showed up uninvited, didn't knock, and started yelling the second he walked in. His daughter called the police. And the wife started recording just in case. Allegedly, he even broke a few things before storming out. >> But I didn't do nothing. Come on, man. You don't have other But you >> I just explained to you. I'm not the arresting officer. >> You came out. You arrest me for no reason. But this every time I get every time I I go to my house, I get to get arrested. That's that's bull, too. >> Every time I get arrested. You see what I'm trying to do? You going to get in there? Loosen up the cuffs, please. Loosen up this side this side. >> In the end, the father was arrested on the scene and faced charges for violating the protection order and resisting or obstructing an officer. He showed up to prove he was still in charge, but ended up in cuffs. On New Year's Eve 2022, officers responded to a motel after a teenage girl reported a fist fight with her father. When police arrived, the father, Raheem, said his daughters were fighting each other, and he only tried to break it up. His daughter, Aubrey, had a fresh black eye and was clearly shaken. >> Wait, what's your name? What is it? >> Aubrey. >> Aubrey. Okay. So, can you tell me what happened tonight? And um so basically my dad they were in like 8 and then he started to get all up in her face and >> it like basically stop there because he was like he was like young man and he pushed me and then he take your time. Just take some deep breaths. Okay. It's okay. Just take your time. And then and then >> just take your time, okay? Just just breathe. Just breathe. >> Even though she was sobbing, it seemed like Aubrey was still trying to downplay what happened. But from experience, the officer knew she might have been conditioned to protect him or just scared of what would happen if she ratted him out. >> Who who who threw the first punch? He threw it at me. >> Okay. >> Protect me. So, and then they like got to it and then >> Okay. So, how many >> mom he was trying to pull his heart? >> You just don't know after that. Okay. How many times do you think he got hit? >> You don't know? Okay, that's fine. Um, is it okay if I just check your face real quick? See if there's any injuries or anything like that? I'm just not going to try to shine it in your face. Okay. Okay. Okay. Real quick. Why? I know. How old are you? >> 14. >> You're 14? Okay. >> The officer then approached the father. Raheem didn't seem shaken. If anything, he looked a bit detached. He started rambling and overexlaining. Classic signs as someone trying to sound honest while hiding the truth. And the more he talked, the more the lies became obvious. >> It was a big altercation trying to break it up, hands falling down, trying to get her to come help separate. >> So she was trying So you were trying to break up the fight. >> Yeah. Trying to separate things. She trying to separate things. >> Okay. Did anybody get hurt? >> I'm not sure. I don't know. >> You're not sure? You don't know? >> Only thing I knew is is my daughter couldn't breathe when she trying to find her after. >> Okay. So, at no time whatsoever, you didn't throw a punch or anything like that. The only thing is I'm getting at here is that I'm getting two different stories. I just trying to figure out I just want everybody to be honest with me because I'm just trying to figure this out. >> Trying to break things up and I'm trying to separate everything. Then next thing I know, my daughter is having an asthma attack. She's panicking. I'm saying, "Do I need to call the ambulance or do?" >> And then my daughter, she come up out of it. >> Okay. >> I called back and I said she came up out of it. >> Okay. >> That's when you guys pulled up. out here. >> I understand. Well, I just I'm just trying to get clarification cuz when we got the 911 call, it said that you you were involved. >> No, we're not involved. >> Okay. I'm just trying to make I'm just trying to see if that's if that's what actually happened or not. That's what I'm trying to figure out because the 911 call says one thing and then you're telling me another thing. So, I'm just trying to figure out why that is. >> Look it up. I'm the I call 911 myself. >> Raheem insisted he called 911 himself, but dispatch records said otherwise. He stayed oddly calm, like he thought playing it cool would make him look innocent. His wife tried to back him up, but with her arms crossed and eyes fixed on the floor, her body language told a completely different story. >> We're just trying to figure out how she got the black eye. >> Which one got the black eye? >> Oh, see, I don't know cuz like I said, I'm trying to break it up and my pants was falling down. I didn't have these pants on. I just had shorts on which I had no underwear under. >> Okay. >> So, they was falling down. So, I eventually had to just separate myself and try to get myself together and that's when she was trying to separate him, but I I was telling her to come try to get in the middle of it because my pants falling down. >> He kept going back to the bit about his pants falling down like he needed to justify it even though no one was asking. To an experienced officer, that kind of thing raises eyebrows. When someone repeats the same odd detail, it usually means there's more to the story. Well, based on everything we have tonight, okay, cuz I'm I'm getting you're telling me two different completed things from what's happened over here and what's happened over there when I was in the middle of it. >> Yeah, I understand. I understand what you're saying. Like I said, but for right now, I need you around. Put your hands on your back. Thank you. >> I'm telling you, you're being arrested for battery right now. Stop. Stop pulling with me, man. Stop pulling. You know what I'm saying? You being tough with me. >> Stop pulling. Stop pulling. We're trying to help you. Stop pulling him. That's fine. >> Fine. Just turn around then. Cuz you been gungho the whole time, man. >> I'm just asking you a question. That's all I'm doing. >> You came in, man. >> Yeah, because I didn't know what was going on. I was by myself before the people. >> No, that's my bad. >> How much blind on the battery? >> I have no idea. You have to stop the sheriff's office. >> As soon as things turned against him, Raheem snapped. In his mind, this wasn't his mess and surely wasn't his to clean up. His wife didn't even look surprised. just sat there like she'd seen that play out a hundred times before. >> We take care of yourself. >> Is there any problem? >> You ain't trying to take care of me. You trying to goddamn say it's my fault. >> I didn't say >> Do you want the car keys in the mother car or not? >> Oh, it's on camera right here. >> No, I'm I'm I'm talking to her. >> I don't want you to say anything. >> Do you want Do you want the car keys in in in the or not? >> If you want me to do it, yes, I will do it. >> Well, do it then. I'm all I'm trying to do God. I told you this will come to this. I tell you about getting the rats on your >> I've been trying to man. >> Oh, okay. I don't do sit back. Watch. >> Yep. I sit back. >> You have the part. What? >> Your part don't work. >> Take this, too. >> With Raheem out of the picture, his wife Eve changed the story just like the officers expected. Years of staying quiet can make it hard to open up. But you could tell she'd been carrying this weight for a long time. And now with him gone, the truth finally had a chance to come out. >> Ma'am, I know this is very stressful and we're just trying to >> lying through the whole thing. >> Look, yeah, ma'am, I'm just going to be quite honest with you. I'm I'm getting that as well. Um, as I said, I just I just want to I know you told me about about a little bit about what happened. Um, where did I put my page up? >> He He doesn't like us at all. >> Okay. Are y'all married? >> No, >> not married. But both of y'all sh those are both of y'all's kids together. Okay. How long have y'all been together? >> 16 17 years. >> 17 years. And is how long has it been like this? >> I don't care. I got >> just the just the arguing and the fights and what what past five years. >> Five years. And then the girls are old enough where they notice the [ __ ] and they don't want to handle it no more. >> And so they'll stick up cuz I won't say anything and they're done with me not saying anything. So they rather me safe. >> Okay, I understand. Well, right now I want to hear the truth. I want to hear everything. You know, he's he is in handcuffs. He is going away for the night. Just from based on what I have now, I'm just telling you he's being arrested for battery family violence right now against y'all y'all's daughter. Okay. Eve said he lashed out over small things, always played the victim, and acted like everybody was against him. She admitted she'd stood by him too long instead of protecting the girls. And you could hear in her voice that she wasn't just tired, she was done. >> He thinks that everybody's against him. I don't know if he's got a mental issue or whatever. It's like, >> well, it said he's having some issues. So when I came home this morning, he got at me for, you know, some odd reason. So I, you know, I'm like never went, "Oh, he's telling me I never have his back or whatever." But that police had his back for years and years, >> right? The girls are teenagers now. They're not little kids. I can't hide, >> right? >> You know what I mean? >> Right. So with with all that, so what what happened with everything that got us called out here? thing about it is they like we were drinking for the New Year's or whatever and he's suffering from a cold or whatever. He'd asked one of them to uh do something and Tristan the 15year-old Yes, >> said just a minute. >> Okay. >> And I guess that wasn't acceptable for him. >> Gotcha. Okay. >> And then so he started blowing up at her. >> Okay. >> And then it they had words and stuff like that. He called her disrespectful and then he all of a sudden he said, "Well, I don't like y'all anyway." And blah blah blah. >> Okay. >> And then Aubrey had said something. I don't you know >> I've had it like when I was 30 something I had stroke like stuff comes and goes. >> Yes, ma'am. I understand. >> Meanwhile, Raheem sat in the back of the police car playing dumb like he had no idea why he was even there. Then out of nowhere, he dropped an unsettling revelation. And that one actually made the officers pause. >> How do I understand this? How about getting a battery case against who? >> It's going to be against uh if I understand if I understand the arresting officer correctly, it's going to be against that little girl out there. >> Which bill? >> The girl with a black eye on her her right cheek. >> My daughter, they got they got a assault with a deadly weapon against me right now. >> Did that happen? I don't know about that one. Yes, I got the paperwork upstairs. I just had to go get her from juvenile court. She just tried to stab me with a scissors like two weeks ago. >> Okay, great. >> The mother brought up that incident, too, worried about what it might mean for her daughter. There was guilt in her voice, like she knew staying quiet had pushed things to the edge. Whatever had been going on in that house, it didn't start that night. Not too long ago, she had u had an incident with him where she got pissed off and was trying to stab him with scissor scissors. >> When was this? >> Not even a month ago. So, she's on like a probation kind of thing. So, okay. >> She's not even supposed to be in the violent situation. >> I told him right then I was like, "She probably shouldn't come back to the house." >> Yeah. >> I don't know if she come back. >> Yeah, I see that. After that incident, Raheem tried to throw Eve and the girls out, but the motel room was in her name. She paid the bills and kept things running. He was one of those guys who do the least, demand the most, then act shocked when no one backs him up. >> He told us to get out cuz he paid the room, but it was in my name. >> Right. Right. I understand. >> When I was over there, I paid everything and I never said, "Oh, you get out because of" >> Right. Well, I And you know, >> and the girl's like, "No, we're not going anywhere cuz mom like paid this and paid that, >> right?" >> So, we shouldn't have to go anywhere. >> Okay. >> So, >> Okay. Well, like I said, he obviously can't kick you out. Um, and like I said, at a minimum, he'll have to see a judge in the morning. Um, he will not get a bond until he talks to a judge. Is your knuckle okay? >> Yeah. I mean, I like I said, I got >> Oh, you just got hit much chucked into the cage. I understand. Like I said, he's just uh he'll have to see a judge where they grant him a bond. Raheem pleaded guilty and got 30 days in jail, 3 years probation, and a no contact order with Eve and the girls. He was told to get treatment and stay away from the motel. 4 months later, he showed up anyway and got arrested again. Just another entitled dad who pushed too far and paid the price. On May 11th, 2024, officers were called to a hotel after staff reported a guest causing a disturbance. The man was staying with his family and things had apparently spiraled after a night of heavy drinking. When officers arrived, a hotel employee explained what had happened. >> They were uh out in the parking lot being a little bit loud. General manager happened to be out walking her dog, told him to be quiet. One of them was pretty wasted looking and got aggressive. older guy. She just wants me to get him out of here. We gave him like 15-minute countdown. I walked by the room. They're still in the room. I mean, trying to leave. He begged us not to call the police, but it was like, "We got to do something." >> Uh 213 and 2:15. >> The employee confirmed the guy was drunk, yelling, acting physically aggressive, and had to be held back by his own family. That was all the officers needed to hear. They headed straight to his room to shut down whatever was still unfolding. >> You guys are all packed up. Ready? >> What? >> You're getting trespass. So, you got >> How do we get trespass? We pay for the >> That's a civil issue. You take it over at the hotel later, but right now you got to go. >> So, we have to go. >> Correct. I understand understand that trespassing >> they're a private uh organization >> they have rules >> the hotel they can um cancel your reservation based off you not calling >> so they they are going to um >> they may or may not civil issue you can take care of that later >> it is a private >> I understand it's not anything to do with us has to do with us is you leaving >> tomorrow you can call and find out about all Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. >> So, let's get yourselves. Let's get out of here cuz we got other stuff. >> How much time can you give us to? >> They already gave you 15 minutes. How much more time do you need? >> Well, it all depends. >> We have a few people. >> Everybody can pass. Yeah. Don't Don't try to be an [ __ ] though because at the end of the day, >> um >> I pay for >> I know you don't I know you don't care. Don't get me wrong. I know you. >> All this time we're talking. You're going to be packing. Let's go. >> They are doing that right now. >> Well, you need to help. You said there's a lot. >> The man was calm, but ready to argue every detail. In his mind, he probably thought giving in easily meant weakness. It was classic delay and deflect. But the officers weren't interested in playing along as that might only lead to more intense argument. At the at at the end of the day, it's all comes to a lawsuit. >> That has nothing to do with us. >> It does to pack yourself. It does right now. It does. We are packing. We are packing. >> No, you're not. >> We're packing. >> Get inside. >> Get inside. You're underage. Get inside. >> He's acting more mature than you, >> sir. You need to start packing your bag >> cuz at the end of the day a lawyer >> at the end of the day >> will be a different thing because what they call you and you pack your bags before you get arrested. >> I'm not going to get arrested. >> If you don't leave, you'll be arrested. >> Go inside. Go inside. >> Trespassing. >> We are trespassing because if we decide not to leave the premises, >> we're going to leave. >> Go inside. While the father made threats and stalled, the youngest person in the room was the only one acting like an adult, the officers noticed, but they knew from experience that a kid trying to fix what grown-ups mess up rarely works, even though it should. >> Try not to then you would be kids are in the room. >> We are agreeing. >> We are agreeing to the promises. Yes, we're >> now depends on how you react, >> how you act >> to our agreeing >> how we react. >> We're telling you to go pack it. You might want said it was going to take time. >> It's going to take time. >> Pack your stuff. >> We are packing already. >> Go. Okay. Okay. >> You're talking >> 5 minutes. Pack your stuff and go. >> It depends on your time because remember at the end of the day, you just go to jail. >> We're only going to give you a few more opportunities for myself. I know you understand. >> I don't care. >> FBI. You lose your job. I don't. >> I've never heard that before. >> Look at you. Look at you. You know, you know, you'll lose your job. I don't. All right. We'll lose our job then. Go back. >> Go back. Go back. Give me a minute. Everything's >> I have a soldier. >> Okay. Get yourself. >> No. >> I have a soldier. >> Do you understand? >> Give me a minute. The father was sure he was the only one holding the situation together. Never mind his slurred speech and shaky feet. He carried himself like he was explaining a complex case to people too slow to understand it. His wife just stood there in a towel helping no one. But then she played the veteran card. >> He's a veteran, guys. Okay, >> that's fine. >> Police right now. He's just intoxicated enough. >> No, you're not doing pap. >> Your wife is in a towel and you're doing this >> pack towels, man. We're leaving. >> Mhm. >> Clear. >> Don't smile at me. I will sue you. >> And I sue your family. >> You can sue everybody now. Go pack them. >> I've heard that before, too. >> I know you, man. >> I really >> Well, guess what? Guess what? >> You got about 5 minutes to go in the room and start packing. >> Yes. >> You're going to go to jail. how many times you're going to hurt that before you actually lose your job. >> He then fixated on his ID like it was the key to winning the argument. Not because the officers asked, but because he decided that's what came next. Like they were clueless and he simply had to take the lead. But the more he clung to the delusion that he knew better than everyone, the less sense it made. >> He's going to grab your bag. You can go now. Then >> I need my little bag because you're going to need my ID. Your name ID come your name ID sir. >> Jeremiah sir ID ID. >> You want to stop talking so I can tell you Irish people. >> Stay over there. >> Stay over there. >> Go inside. Go inside. Get my back. >> Okay. Have fun. >> You need to take my >> No. I need you to follow directions. your name. >> What started as calm defiance was beginning to grow into something more. And the officers could feel the shift. He wasn't just stalling anymore, but completely losing his grip. The window to walk away was still open, but not for long. And he didn't even notice. >> You're not going to go to yell. Nobody going to yell. Just give me the keys. >> Shut up. Give me the keys. >> Give me the keys. >> Keys. the car key. >> And now you're in place in custody for disorderly in time. >> Make sure you right, please. >> I don't have to read you your rights unless I'm asking you questions. >> You're putting me on the detentations because I'm not going to answer anything until Miranda rights. >> That's fine. I don't need to read you right. >> Did you uh double up? >> You don't understand what you're doing right now, right? >> I do. It's kind of my job. You >> have anything on you that needs to stay over there? >> Okay, great. >> Real simple. All you have to do is leave. >> After the arrest, the officers stepped into the room. The place was a mess and looked like no one had even started packing. The mother leaned hard on her husband's military service like that could get them out of trouble. >> He's military, so he has issues. If he's military, then he should have no problem following orders. >> It's not easy when you go through Afghanistan and been through his phone number and through all this. When you get deployed and you got to shoot at people, >> then you tell me if it's >> We have plenty of people that work here that have been telling me it's okay. >> No, no, no. Just >> tell me it's okay. >> The officer stayed respectful but unmoved. Military record or not, the law still applied. That wasn't the reaction the woman expected. So, she pivoted to outrage, whining over how the police treated her husband. But she didn't want compassion. She just wanted a free pass. >> This is your money from your husband. $50 in life. >> Oh, you want it? Do you need it? >> Do he need it? >> I'll take it. Don't put your hands behind us. Put your hands behind your back. >> Oh, come on. Please. Come on. >> We gave We We gave her more than enough. >> I got it. I got it. >> You You don't though because we asked you to help out and we said yes. >> I'm trying to put everything unreasonable the entire time. >> It's 1:00 in the morning and people are getting woken up because of her unreason yelling and screaming. Do it. >> This is what happens. >> This is ignorant. >> No. This is what when when you get what you get. >> You're putting on a terrible display for your family. >> I'm sure you are. >> I'm not. You are. >> Yeah. And you want >> accept yourself is that your son comes in and tells >> How sad is your behavior. >> Yeah, puppy. >> In the end, both parents went to jail. It wasn't just the alcohol. It was the entitlement, the arrogance, excessive and unnecessary drama, and the refusal to act like adults. And while the grown-ups argued, stalled, and spiraled, their kid was the only one trying to hold the line. When cops take down entitled dads in the act, it's never about just one bad decision. It's a whole personality type. Loud, proud, and allergic to accountability. Whether it's a hotel tantrum or a school parking lot meltdown, these guys always think they're in charge, right up until the cuffs come out.
