He's going to drink no matter what. There's financing and then there's housing. So there's two types and then there's also domestic shelters. >> So they provide you a housing especially a female that's involved in a domestic. >> Did you know that? >> But they don't view you. They view this as like I'm eating it down there. >> No, there's two sides to a story. The only side I got right now was his side and his markings. Okay. >> I look like the bad guy >> at the at the state at the uh residence. Yes, you did. >> I'm not saying that you are cuz we still haven't got a chance to talk cuz we ended up in the in the ambulance and we ended up in the hospital. >> He's been you're up here. You're coming down >> every day. >> I know. That's what he That's what he was telling me and that's what you're telling me. >> But it's like when I tell anybody on the outside that it's like, okay, he's drinking every day. Why don't you just leave? I have no resources to leave. >> You will. I'll get them to you. You just got to make the phone call. >> I have no way to >> I have no family. I have nothing. >> You have no family. >> They handle the financing and they handle the housing. You just want You just have to have the will to want to do it. >> I can't make the phone call for you. >> Who handles the financing and housing? >> The government does. >> Who? >> Dwage County. >> Who is this? >> Yeah. You didn't know about this? >> No. >> I really did. >> Yes. I'm going to provide that to you. >> Okay. You want to give me a quick yarn sample? I only said >> I'm going to go right to that uh to the bathroom right next to this. >> Yeah. I pray to God. >> What was your last bathroom? Right here, honey. I'm trying to make you >> Oh, I thought you Where am I going? >> The bathroom. >> Oh, wait. Can you tie this? It >> doesn't have any ties, but it has a clip. So hold up. Let me get here. Right here. Nobody's going to see you here. Take the top. >> Okay. I'm right here. I got to keep the door open. Okay. >> All right. I get it. >> I'll do this and then I'll put your paperwork out. He already wrote a note. Um, I think we might just have to register her really quick and then she'll be good. >> Okay. >> I got to call one of my guys to come pick us up. >> Okay. >> I just need some side of my face. I would give you some. Do you want a baby wipe? >> No. >> No. I did water in a towel. >> Oh god, I would take the bleach too much. >> I can smell it off my neck. >> Yeah, that was a good sneeze. All right, here. Go ahead and go back into the bed and then I'm going to have everything and you get you out of here. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, back to the resources. Yes, DuPage County offers resources for women that are involved in domestic and for women that indicate they have no finances to get out of it. Because you know how a lot of women stay in re in the relationship because they have they depend on their man, right? So, DuPage County came up with this program so women don't get involved that don't have to be in that situation anymore. But you have to make the phone call. I can't do it. >> All I can do is give you the phone number, point to it where you need to call. If it's two phone numbers, bless you. One's a shelter which pro provides a housing for you. Bless you. And another one is a financial advisor or assistance I should say. >> So there is help. >> I'm trying but I don't even know. >> So you don't have to be in this anymore. Even though you're two babies in possibly three. >> We'll find out in 2 minutes. >> It's just like how long have you been with him >> now? About 3 years. >> Three. >> Yeah. And I'm like, I know you're I don't blame me if you never forgive me cuz I'm like getting spit on so I know you don't [ __ ] But it's just like I don't >> Well, when you spit on me, what did I tell you in in the ambulance? You remember? >> You didn't do nothing wrong either. That's a >> But what did I tell you after you spit on me? I said don't get yourself jammed up because of your feelings. >> I already have. >> It's part of the job. You guys don't know at this point like I'm really trying. I've tried hard and it's like I got two little ones. I'm really trying. You just need some guidance and it's there. And I'll refer you to Are you okay talking to a social worker? We have a social worker in house one. I could refer you to her and then she could guide you as well. >> Okay. >> I don't even know what's about to happen right now. >> Well, >> honestly, >> they're going to release you. They're going to tell you if you're pregnant or not. >> You are not pregnant. >> There you go. >> We're in a shock. >> That's good news, though. Honestly, they're sorry. No, it's okay. It's just finicky. >> And I'm sorry again. There's no way I could really apologize. I just Okay, that's for you. >> Victor 31 for two >> and then uh paperwork, but it's just an alcoholic. >> Um, any questions for me? >> No, thank you. >> Can I get somebody to come fix us up? Thank you. >> Sorry. >> All good. >> Come with her to take her back. >> All right. There's her clothing. I'm going to close the door. Thank you. >> No, honestly, I'm really sorry about what I did >> cuz I'm not that >> I'm going to turn cuz my camera's still on. So, I'm going to turn and face away while you get dressed. We said doctor. Okay. Shining. >> I'm really sorry. >> I accept your apology. >> I don't think I apologize enough. Oh god. Oh god, I'm sorry. There's sometimes you get apologizing. [snorts] >> Bless you. >> Oh yeah. Sneezed. Got to bust me. You didn't have any shoes? >> Is he He What happened? >> You didn't have any shoes? >> I guess not. [ __ ] >> Let me see if I can get you. >> Yeah, you didn't have Oh, wait. No, no. You did. Okay. [ __ ] I don't know. I was at home. Box here was soaking wet. I don't know how. What's going on? Is he trying to get me? It's supposed Oh, God. Girl. >> All right. So, I'm going to put you back into cuffs. You're going to come with me. I got to explain to you. Okay. >> I'm so confused. Yeah. >> Don't be confused. I'm going to make it as straight as possible and understanding as much as I can. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, it's going to cut now. >> Now, you're going to head back to the station with me. >> Can you get my phone? >> Yes, ma'am. >> You want to turn your wrist cuz you don't want to >> if you Yeah. Keep it turned cuz it's going to hurt if you >> What's going on now? >> Going to go back to the station with me. Can you get my phone, please? >> Yes, ma'am. Give me one second. Let me move it on you. All right. Make sure they're going to release me. Where am I? >> Hold on. Hold on. >> Why am I being released from here? >> Well, they cleared you. So, that means you're good to go. Everything came back. Good. We got everything. Got your phone. Yep. Got your paperwork. And then where? They're going to probably meet me up at the front >> at the front of the yard or back. >> Oh, you know what? Let me let me let them know. Victor three from two. Victor three from two. Just give him a call. >> I'm sorry. I'm not trying to beat this. >> No, you're good. Number Oh, 325. 325. Hey, can you meet me by the ambulance entrance? >> Can I go? Yeah, we're going to go by the ambulance. Is that this way? >> This way. This way. >> Yeah, 104. I just follow switch sides. >> There you go. More comfortable on the left. >> Do you need anything from me about the spin? >> Oh. Uh, I'll get your Yeah, you're I'm going to need a No, I don't think so. I'll figure it out, >> dude. He wants me, girl. He wants me. He wants me. >> He don't like me. He don't like my first he didn't like um my boyfriend most of all but now he don't like me. >> Do you know him? >> Yeah. >> You deal with him before? >> Oh yeah. >> He don't like me. >> He's Can you blame him? Cuz he thinks that's good. >> You're amazing. >> Excuse us. Sorry. >> If you could tell him I'm sorry, too. Cuz I think he thinks I'm a piece of [ __ ] You go. >> No, it's all good, man. >> He was he was he was a good guy, too. I was never trying to make you feel that way, you know. >> So, if you could give any apology to him, I would >> to the to the medic. >> To the one guy, the >> the medic. >> The No, no. Is he a medic? >> Yeah. Is it? >> Is he? Yes. >> Oh, >> he's a firefighter/medic. >> But um the skinnier guy. You know who I'm talking about. He's skinny and tall. >> Wait, is he an officer? >> Yeah, he's officer. He just was talking to you for a second. I've seen him before. >> You talking about one of my guys? They're not here. I'm the only one here. >> Oh, yeah. He was a skinnier officer. Like I'm not sure if he's >> We have a skinny tall officer. He was the one that uh charged the one that put the cuffs on you. >> Talk to me for a second. >> That's an ambulance. That's a medic. >> Oh, maybe it's him then. I don't know. But I know I've seen I've seen him before. I think I have at least. >> How you feeling? Better. >> Yeah, still kind of like [ __ ] but better. Sorry you guys for cursing. >> Not the best. Guess I just, you know, I I'm sorry. For real. I didn't expect any of this. Like I'm kind of surprised all this is even happening still. I'm lost. And as far as it is with him, with my partner, it's like he's always the main one manufacturing this [ __ ] And then I'm the one if you guys had called or I'm the one getting in trouble. It seems like he's been he had domestic before me. >> That's why I'm asking you like are the kids okay and [ __ ] because I'm not I'm just trying to make sure that they're over there okay at this point. >> We wouldn't leave them if they weren't. Last time I got threatened with with they might not be okay. >> Who said that? >> Um I had to call my dad. I had to have my dad come over >> because both of you guys were getting arrested. >> Yes. >> He got arrested. He's been arrested before me. I'm only getting arrested now. More recently. I don't know. I guess I seem crazy now. >> No, not yet. Not yet. >> Can you blame me for finally going nuts? You know, >> not at all. >> It's like I've tried to hold on to my cool. I've tried to been the bigger person always. It's >> hard. >> Yeah. Tell me about it. >> Especially when you're getting spit on. >> Yeah. Yeah. Imagine how I feel. I've been spit on 10 times. And I'm so sorry, miss. Because just cuz this happened to me doesn't mean I should take it on you. So even me apologizing to you, I know it don't mean [ __ ] I will. >> So I'm really sorry. That's all I could really I can't do nothing else but say I'm really sorry. [ __ ] Even that's not enough. If you had a fair a fair get back, you could deck me in the face. >> No, >> I'm not that type of person, >> right? I know you're a bigger person, right? Not everybody is. Now I'm here cuffed for no reason cuz somebody else says I had to drink too much. Yeah, you two definitely can't drink together. They can't drink at all. He had drink by himself. Damn there. [ __ ] [ __ ] >> I'm just saying you two just too toxic. >> Yeah, that's true. But it's like I can't get him to stop. That's the problem. I can stop. That's the thing. I can really stop. He can't. Everybody has gave up on him but me. >> You went that way. >> My guy. >> No. >> Oh. >> I was like, "What? Oh god. >> You want me to meet that window or you want me to? >> Sorry. >> I got you. >> Thank you. I appreciate that. You ain't got nothing I need to worry about though, do you? >> No. You can check right now. I'm talking about like hepatitis, none of that [ __ ] dude. >> Oh, no, no, no, no. >> I ain't got I ain't got to get shots. >> Oh, I get what you're saying. Yeah. No, thank God. No, you don't. For real. [laughter] >> You did get the side of my eye. >> I'm sorry. I'm so It's nothing to laugh about. But no, you don't have to worry about that part. I don't have AIDS or height. >> All right, good. >> Yeah, we could laugh now, right? >> Lot of [ __ ] though. You never know. For real. Never know. >> You never know with these people. >> Anyone. Sh. >> Anyone. I could be carrying something. You could be carrying. >> You never know. >> Thank God. >> Oh gosh. >> No, I just have a case of dumbass. >> That's your That's your partner, right? >> Yeah. Both of us. [ __ ] Uh-uh. >> [ __ ] hit both of us at this point. >> Everybody makes mistakes. Like the point is you got to learn from him. >> That's why I'm so afraid of what's going on with him over there because of the fact that I don't know. I don't know if he's getting arrested. [ __ ] I'm I'm more concerned about the babies. [ __ ] >> I won't I won't let anything happen at home. >> My daughter over there is I will check on her. I'll promise you that. I have kids of my own, so I wouldn't leave him with just anybody, even though he is the daddy. I will check on him as soon as we're done. >> Bless you. >> I just want to do it away from you. >> Thank you. I appreciate that. [laughter] How long you guys been living in Villa Park? >> About a year now. >> It's my first time dealing with you, so I was just Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Have you guys had uh encounters with the uh police? Yeah. >> Too many. >> Too many. >> Really? That's my area. You guys must not deal on a day shift. Must be a midnight thing, >> I guess. So for after six concentrations >> because it's been too many. That's why I'm like I'm so psych. I'm thinking if anything I'm giving you guys >> extra issues. >> I know. I've never >> No, because we've had issues with just him sometimes just too much. For real. That's why the one young man I told you I recognized him >> heard the medics called before. Maybe that's >> he's a I didn't think he was a medic though. I thought he was part of your police department. If anything, he's a younger he's slender. He's very tall. >> You got to be talking about Officer Simons. >> Maybe. >> And he does work night shift. >> Could be him. I don't remember names. I'm sorry, but like I know I've seen him a couple times. That means your calls are made after 6. >> Yeah, it's usually at night. >> Yeah, there you go. That's why I never met you cuz that's my area. So, I know pretty much everybody. >> So, I've seen him and I know he he's probably given up. He's probably like you. >> Did he Did he Did you ever get that sheet that has the resources on it? That's the one I'm talking about. He never reached out to him, >> I think. But it's so complicated because of my situation with having two kids and little kids. >> Actually, it should be easier for you to get out because you have kids. >> Yes. >> You would think, trust me, >> I know they assist women with children faster, younger ones. Now that you had like 15, 14, it's different story, but cuz you have younger children, you want to get them out of the situation. >> Yeah. I just hope everything's fine now. Oh my god. I don't know because he's trying to get me arrested, too. Yeah, you heard him. [snorts] For what? I don't know. That's why I want to get to my older daughter especially. She seems like a sweet girl. He's not her father, you know. He's that bitter. I don't know why. >> Well, she definitely shouldn't be seeing this cuz then she's going to think it's normal. >> Yeah, exactly. Exactly. You nailed it. >> I'm an oldie. I've been around a block. I just want to get to them. I hear you. The thing is, he's always always threatening to just kick me out. He's breaking my [ __ ] >> Huh? >> Cuz he's paying for it. >> Yeah. He breaks all my [ __ ] I've lost so many clothing and belongings cuz when I've tried to leave, he breaks it. >> Best thing to do is leave quietly. >> Yeah, that's what I'm told. >> Cuz when they see it coming, it's a whole different story. You got to do what I did. I waited till my partner had left to work and I packed up my [ __ ] and I left. Left Florida, came back home in Chicago. >> No. Wow. >> Do it quick. >> Yeah. >> Do that. >> But I don't know what's coming. >> But you don't want to do that to somebody. >> Why? Why not? What's more important? You or that person or your kids? Kids number one, then you. Other people say you first then your kids. But I always say my kids come first. There's the old man. Probably took the scenery route. All right, we're going to hop in the back. I know we're just leaving the hospital, but it's by policy. I'm always It's a habit, too. I just got to pat down. Make sure you got nothing on you, which I know you don't, but again, just policy habit. All right, cool. Thank you guys. Thank you so much. Appreciate y'all. Now, where am I going? Going back to police department. >> Yes, ma'am. works. >> All right. Thank you guys. Uber. >> Hey, I'm on. >> Oh, yeah. >> Okay. 52. >> [music] >> 52, myself and three will be heading back to the PD. We want to continue on custody. >> So when we go here >> at the PD, >> we're going to book you, process you, >> and then uh then I got to transport you to county and county in the morning, you see a judge and then they release you. >> So I'm going to D [music] county. >> Yes. Till the morning. Till the morning. Well, we can't have you going back cuz God knows what's going to happen if you go back. >> [music] >> And then I'm going to go see him and your babies. Make sure they're good. >> So why am I going to do baby? >> So Illinois law it indicates anytime that somebody's charged with domestic battery, they automatically have to go to county. They have to go to jail. >> Oh, and I had to screen it, too. I forgot about that stuff. >> Yeah. All I wanted was to drink my coffee, enjoy the sun cuz it came out. >> Mhm. >> Yeah, buddy. >> You've been there before the address? >> No, it's my first time. She was telling me that uh she's had a few contacts with us, but it sounds like she's had contacts with Midnight's >> Yeah. I've been there like five times or something last night or last. >> Yeah, that's what I was like. Did you see You didn't see him at all, did you? He was that was bad. All over her face, chest, back, sides. So it was it was just clear. And she has it on her hand. That's it. >> Yeah. >> The doctor checked her head, checked her back. >> Uh, no. Nothing. >> Looks like she's coming down. >> Yeah. >> Are you kidding me? >> What's that, ma'am? >> Where you going? >> Got to go straight. >> I was like, where you going, man? >> Happens all the time. >> You know that my mom used to do that, too. And then she would freak out and be like, I don't know what I'm doing. I dare cross. I dare you. What is up with these firemen and their and their mustaches? I'm not understanding that. It must be a thing. I don't think it's cute at all. >> Why can't I just >> Unfortunately, that's not the way the laws were made. I think they did it that way because in case anybody gets released immediately, they don't go back and harm the person again. Not that I'm saying you would do that, but I think that's what probably past practices happen. Got to wash my face. There was too many chiefs in the uh in the handcuffing to I was waiting on one of you pop your handcuffs up. Nobody's popping out. I'm like >> well one I was trying to get my I had a white one. >> Oh, that's great. >> And I think Nick jumped in and I'm like is anybody going to try and get some handcuffs cuz I'm trying to control. >> I just got one hand and I had to wipe the other >> I should have had better communication. your kids. So, your kids are fine right now, but once me and you are done, I'm going to go back over there and double check on them and make sure they're okay. They don't need any assistance. And if I feel that he's not able to take care of the kids, obviously, I'm not going to leave them in his care. >> Well, I'm going to try to see if I can find somebody to watch him. If I can't find anybody to watch him, then unfortunately the only other thing I can do is call DCFS and separate hold him until you return back home. >> Okay. Like I said, I just want to make sure he's, you know, mentally stable. >> It's not that I don't want you to. >> Can anyone explain that? >> Say that again. I didn't hear you cuz the wind's blowing. Why am I the one getting arrested and he's the one who led the arrest? >> So when I got there and I asked you that what happened, you basically told me that nothing really happened. You you guys were just getting in an argument. Um I was trying to get more information from you, but you weren't giving me much. Uh towards the end, you told me that he was yanking on you and pulling on you because you were trying to leave. So I checked you for marks, you know, any physical signs of marks. Your wrist didn't have any. you did have cuts on your finger. Um, but when I went in and talked to him and got he actually told me he actually told me what was going on. He was speaking to me and giving me a story and then he hit when I tell you he had markings. He was marked up really bad. His face, his neck, his chest, his back. Ma'am, I I have to take photos of it. So, yes, he was. These are photos. He had fresh blood cut everywhere, all over his back. These are photos that have to be taken. So he was I wouldn't lie to you. Everything's audio and video recorded. >> So that's why you're getting arrested. You came off as the aggressor. Have you ever been arrested for domestic battery before? Okay. So, if you're if you've never been arrested, majority of the time when people get arrested, there usually is no conviction at the end. Do you know why there's no conviction? Because the other party doesn't show up. And when the other party doesn't show up, then it gets dropped. But unfortunately, currently, right now, I'm mandated if there's physical signs, I have to make an arrest. She heard everything, but she never went out to see what was going on. >> Yeah. She heard all the throwing and hitting, but she couldn't see who was hitting what. She could just hear what she believed was hitting of each other or one of each other. I know. I think she's seen a few. She seemed very calm for her age, >> you know? >> Like almost like >> she hasn't chosen, >> right? She's very mature for her age. That is why she's not. I was just saying that your daughter seemed very mature for her age when I was talking to repeat a lot. It's weird. I just hoping the freaking jail doesn't say anything. >> That person was that bad. He had to come right back. >> We babysat her all freaking day. There is your hiccup is not gone. >> And then while he came through afternoon protection >> then they had the officer take even after being babysat for 8 hours took her out there to where's the hospital C whatever. >> Oh CDC took her there >> or CDH I'm sorry. CDH >> took what he might have told you sir. No, we're not talking about that. >> We're talking about a previous arresty, not you, ma'am. >> Yeah, we um then he took he took her there to get clear incarcerated to get clear to Yeah. >> Even though he had paperwork saying that she was already >> I don't understand how that's even I know, but somebody needs to talk to somebody. >> Yeah, I know. >> Because if you got Where am I? If you got the paperwork that indicates it, why are we going all over again? Well, we took this the first time with us cuz she was so drunk. Connie wouldn't take her. >> So, we had to come all the way back, >> babysat her for 8 hours, and Wally says, "I'm not going to take a chance, go straight to CDs, get her clear incar again." Then finally, they took her. >> That's ridiculous. >> Yeah, I know. It's just all day thing. >> That's what I say. Wait a minute. You got this [ __ ] man. We should We shouldn't be arguing, >> right? Exactly. That's it. >> And I think it was the uh the nurse at the at the prison that was rejecting rejecting her. Wow. I don't think we even pulled Oh, yeah, we did. We did pull keys. >> Yeah, we big part did it when we got the the forms. Why am I getting I'm so confused. So why did I get far away from >> I'll explain to you when we get back inside. Okay. Or when we get inside like a two or 23 of the PD literally. 10 months. >> Oh god. >> 10 months and 24 days, baby. >> I got score number one. I have to Miss Norwood, her stuff is still here. What are we going to do with Miss Norwood's stuff? I'm going to be there for a while. >> I wonder who did that. >> I I actually called her. I called her and left her a message to come get her stuff, but I guess she didn't uh get my message. >> No, she's not locked up. >> Now, >> I don't think so. Come on. We're going to go up the R. I don't I mean for a warrant for a criminal trespass. I don't think so. >> Ashley, I have to ask you not like I literally have not done nothing. >> You're going to make a left. I have to ask you a question. >> Are you going to cooperate or do I have to put you >> I've been cooperating? >> I got to ask cuz I don't want to put you on that on that uh bench. >> I'm trying to figure out what the [ __ ] I've done. This starts to put hands on me. Why did you guys not have him? >> Why is it so unbalanced? >> Did you hear me in the vehicle? >> So why is he not here? >> Well, because you're here. We can't have both of you here. >> So you can >> Who's going to Who's going to have Who's going to take care of kids? >> Me with the kids? Cuz I take care of the kids. He doesn't. >> So he's a fool. >> So I should release you and bring him in. >> Yes, >> absolutely. >> All right. Go ahead. Take a seat. >> That's how it should have been in the first place. All right. >> He's abuser. I mean, come as strong as him ever. >> Okay. I guess somebody make the phone call first. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> The [ __ ] has been going on. He's been It's been different towns. Taste it.
