caught speeding tried to use her sheriff's badge for leniency however the strong smell of alcohol told another story when she refused to cooperate officers had no choice but to arrest her ending her license have you had anything to drink tonight no okay cuz I can smell what smells like alcohol coming out of the car and reason for that no there should not be no okay you haven't had anything the time I was behind you to here I believe that you may be impaired you told me you were drinking I want to make sure that that's not the case okay if you're not impaired you go on about your day and you go home all right all right so I'm just waiting for another officer to get here as soon as they get here we'll do what we need to do and we'll get you out of here all right where are you coming from tonight M Med your house where's your house at 21 26 hours a CO okay um and where are you headed to right now my fiance future husband's house um literally just down the streetand for Lake County Lake County that's what I mean that's unfortunately he doesn't have anything to do with this traffic stop understand that part but I wanted to talk to him she was flying at 65 mph in a 45 mph Zone the moment the cop approached her she kept apologizing over and over why she was so nervous the officer asked for her license but guess what that strong smell of alcohol hit him right away the officer became more suspicious now miss Bita just stay right here for a second I'm going to turn all these flashy lights off real quick and then we'll all right Miss Medina a couple quick questions for you can you uh turn your front lights off please sir thank you okay all right all right Miss Medina here's what going I have you do I want you to turn toward me this way I want you to put your heels nope stop right there I don't want you walking into traffic put your heels and Toes together just like this for Me 2 and then just relax your arms straight down by your side do you wear contact text your prescription glasses on a regular basis okay but you don't have them on right now so you're not currently wearing contacts okay I want you to look straight forward at me do you see the Silver Tip of something we're at right now right that's something that if we get to that okay I need you to stop sucking on that take it out of your mouth put it in your pocket and this is the second time I've asked you to do that are you willing to finish the rest of the field s exercises I would like to call I that is not an option right this moment why is that not an option because I'm in the middle of an investigation you can make that phone call later okay so are you going to be willing to do will okay then let's walk back there and finish that and then when we're done I don't think that's the right choice though okay well that's unfortunately not your decision so if you want to if you want to particip in the remainder of the field sobriety exercise the officer started the field sobriety test he asked if she wore glasses or contacts she admitted she did but of course she wasn't wearing them then he told her to follow a pen with her eyes but let's be honest could she even focus at this point I don't think so it could be we going to walk to the back of my car if not then I'm just going to make a decision based on what the information that I have so far I'm pretty sure you already know your decision so I would just rather make a call because I'm not going to so are you refusing to comply with the rest of the field would make that call First I'm telling you right now that's not an option we can either walk to the back of my car and finish this or we can go based on what information I have right now so if you'll please walk to the back of the car if you want to do the field my fan she's under arrest for DUI DUI yes sir cuz she's extremely inebriated she's weaving all over the road she was doing 65 and a 45 she's been nothing but argumented with us she tried to flash the badge that you gave her to get out of the citation and that's not okay so she's under arrest at this point so that's where we're at sir so yeah she's she's way too inated to be driving so unfortunately that's that's where we're at tang go through to 18 51 but yeah I mean uh she's obviously she's going to go down to the jail and then she'll be able to give you a call from there uh unfortunately part of our policy is we tow the vehicle if it's DUI yes sir so it's all righty so she'll be able to give you a call here shortly when we get down there all right yeah I was trying to call yeah she was that's what she was arguing with me about in the middle of the field she wanted to not do them because she said that she's entitled to a phone call and she wasn't doing anything until uh that was the case so unfortunately that's where where we're at she's been drinking oh yeah she's she's been drinking significantly she I mean she reeks of alcohol so really so yeah so but that's where we're at all right sir right I was I thought you got nope that's all she refused to finish the sobriety test a big surprise the officer had seen enough he placed her under arrest but instead of cooperating she started resisting busy with her phone like that would save her did she think a quick call could raised the mess she was in also I just don't get it when did police badges
