Is Is his license in here then? >> Uh he's got the picture we got ruined and it got wet the other day, so he does have his picture on his phone. >> Okay. If that's okay. Yeah. We were doing a lot of swapping around, kids going back to school and stuff, so Oh yeah. deckhands are getting swapped around that time of year. I'll look like a CHP there. >> [clears throat] >> There we go. So there, I think my license is just a couple more. How many other people have been out here today? I saw like a couple trailers, that was about it, though. >> Yeah, there's some people out. First First day of doe season, so I'm going to get a little bit of that. I tucked their licenses in here as well, Chad. So, they don't blow off. I think like if this goes up, is it only water, then? Yeah, supposedly. I don't I don't want to find out. >> For sure. They roll them over. This one's not set up to do that, but uh they have they put a big uh CO2 canister up on the radar arch there. And then all they have to tow them over with a with a forklift cuz they're really hard to roll. And then yeah, it'll blow that off and right itself. What If we're upside down, send help. Um my paper license is filled out, yeah. Okay. Yeah. Where is that at? Um I was on board a separate vessel for our company. Um and that captain still has it. So, this electronic license works fine. Yeah. to have it. But, if you're logging fish, you got to have everything logged on every copy you have. So, uh you can PDF it and put it on there. Um or edit the photo somehow. Put it on there. Um make a copy of your other license. Just make sure you got the got the good one with you. It just sounds like you got crossed up a little bit. So, you guys are typically super squared away. So, appreciate that. >> Yes, sir. And uh thank you, guys. I'll uh have a quick look at fish and get out of your hair. Let's go back to lunch. Excuse me. Yep. I'll get out of the way. Okay. P-cod. Some cod. Yeah. We've got a monster Left-handed halibut there? Yep. >> [laughter] >> Oh, that's not a It's not a turbot. It's sole. Oh, this is All right, yeah. It's a arrowtooth. No, this is not a >> No. Oh, okay, no. Oh. Okay, yeah, yeah. Arrowtooth flounder. That's a That's a left-handed halibut. Yes. So. But uh All right, so we got We got two wings in the bucket. One left brown side up. That was my mistake. I was counting them. Oh, that's on me, man. I thought we had three back there, though. Okay. We can push that this for a second. You got salmon over there? No, sir, we do not. No salmon? No salmon. Okay. Just Just the two wings, then? All right, I'm going to snag this one that's brown side up here. Okay. And just peek here real quick. I'm sorry, sir. No, dude, it's on me. How long How big are these things? Uh 32 33 Okay. I can't can't tell by looking at them. You want to Yep. My bad on that. I'll I'll grab your ID up here. You like driver's license ID here? >> Yeah. Let's see if I got a copy of that ID. That'd be So, Chad, do we know who caught the extra halibut? I know. I just got a sore. We had three and we took two more in. And then lunch. It's my bad. But I I believe it was it was either Dave or Josh that we called it up on. So, if I don't I don't have my ID on me not for my driver's license. >> got your I mean, that's a valid ID. Yes, that first year. Yeah. Do you have a photo of your ID by chance on there? >> on me, but if I could I could email her if we need to. It just It would save me a few questions. It's fine. I can I can just ask you the questions. So, I'll just grab your your twic here. Or your uh merchant mariner. How long you in town for? Uh still I actually haven't bought a ticket yet. So, I'm planning on leaving like on September 1st or so. Yeah, no set plans. Okay. So, you're around for a bit. >> Yes. I think everyone's going to leave on the 22nd 23rd, but Okay. All right. There's your Yep. Twic back. All right. Well, obviously can't have more halibut than >> did not do that intentionally. >> Did not do that intentionally. Okay. I'm assuming that you want to deal with this rather than having your clients Oh, yes, 100%. Okay. I I'll do that to the extent that I that I can. >> Whatever you need to I don't uh So, I like I say, I had I believed that that you guys are messed up here. We had an argument there. Not an argument, but a disagreement about how many halibut were there were standing there because one of them was brown side up. >> We double-checked a while ago, and yeah, we didn't see him in there. Okay. Um So, essentially, I'll uh I'll get back with you here here shortly with some paperwork. You guys going to be here for a bit? Uh here, so after salmon, which I can stay if you need me to, but I think Bingo, he was going to come in and catch some halibut cuz we actually found some, too many, but uh after that salmon, which we're going to run up and like knock with you and stuff, so head back to Homer. >> Okay. Yeah. Um maybe when you're when you're done with your salmon, do you just want to meet me in the mouth of the cow or Glenn in there? Yep, absolutely. Um and I'll get with you there. Yes, yes. And in no hurry if if you guys aren't done or whatever, we can come find you. No, I'll come find you in plenty of time after this salmon, so Yep. Excuse me. I'm going to grab that little guy. No, I was in there with the breading. All right. I'll find you. I apologize, but yeah, it's just the outside of the cooler. So, So, what you'll find there is two two citations, one for basically having a client take too many fish. Yep. And instead of charging the client for doing that, you're that's that's on you under complicity. So, uh and then there's [snorts] one for aiding a client in a violation, so which is a separate violation. So, you need to show up in court on the 8th of uh October 2:30. You can do that by telephone if you set it up with the court ahead of time. That sounds good. Uh the number is on the bottom one of those citations for the court. Okay? All right. Questions for me? I do not think so. Those are done as misdemeanors because I don't know out here if you have prior history of issues. I suspect you don't. Uh not to say that anything will change, but I've kind of got to do it that way, so >> They're done as crimes. Um there's some options to have it not end up that way, but uh that's not making you promises or anything, but we'll we'll do that all in court, so I understand. >> Just so you don't get excited. If you have questions about any of it, give me a shout. Um Sounds good. As far as court stuff or court dates, the court has to deal with that. There's my card. Yes, sir. Um so if you want to change something, you got to talk to the court. Don't don't leave me messages. >> Okay, for sure. Sounds All right. All righty. All right. Sounds good. All right. Yeah. Yep, all good. Safe travels. >> Thank you. In the end, the captain was charged with taking or possessing over the halibut bag limit and aiding in the commission of fishing violations. He pled no contest and was adjudicated guilty. He was ordered to pay $1,020 in costs and fines, which he promptly paid. If you like this video and want to see more like it, subscribe to Arrest Cam.
