A Missouri conservation agent was on patrol when he noticed a boat in a restricted area of Thomas Hill Lake. How y'all today? We're all right, buddy. Are you catching any fish? Yeah. Oh, good. We We We have no idea who who are who are over, you know, where the fish are, okay, guys? Um I'm not going to grab the restricted zone stuff. Okay. Um Again, um and and it'll just be a warning for the separate identifiable stuff, okay? But just one ticket a piece for the for the over limit of crappie, okay? Yep. So, if I have a If I have a top security clearance, is that going to affect me? No, it it's like a it's like it's a speeding ticket, more or less. But it doesn't it it doesn't go on your permanent Oh, the only people that will see it are um conservation officers. So, you're talking like for the plant? Do you work for the plant? >> the the government. No, it it should not unless they want to call the Missouri Department of Conservation and say, "Does he have any issues?" And I don't know why they would ever do that. Okay. I mean, no, it should not. I've never had it affect anybody's law enforcement status or anything like that. Got you. I have a form. Yeah. I'm just curious cuz the Pentagon does my security clearances. All right. What I'll have you do, count 15 out of each side. I don't care if you keep fishing, but obviously we can't keep any more fish, okay? And there's no like colon fish or anything like that. Give me just a second. Basically from So so basically you see the So anything that way and again they don't get too wound up cuz the buoys have been messed up for so for long enough that this cove we didn't really gripe about too much but um now that they got the buoys back out after all the ice and stuff, you know, this this is kind of the line. And if you got a fish finder or anything it should show you on there. Most of them do. Um but again they they really don't want you down close to the plant just cuz of security issues and all that. Would it be better if I just took both tickets? Uh I don't know how it works. >> in trouble. I I understand. It was my fault It was my fault anyway. I just don't want to lose my job over fishing ticket. Okay, so again um just for the over limit of crappie. No tickets for the separate identifiable issues or for the restricted area issues. Um both of them are scheduled for June 9th. The blue piece of paper I gave you will tell you how to take care of it online. Give it 7 to 10 business days. They won't be there Monday if you go look for them. I've got to submit everything to the court so they got to process it. So generally takes [clears throat] anywhere from like I said 7 to 10 days, 2 weeks, okay? Business days. Um I I again I I do not think it's going to matter if if somebody has a question, they're welcome to call and I like I said I I'll I can let them know if This is really It was my fault before you showed up he goes shouldn't >> Like I thought it was close. Right, I understand. Um if you have any questions you can contact the Randolph County Prosecutor's Office or the clerk's office they should be able to get you taken care of. If you don't see Yeah, they should be able to take anything over the phone. So that then they will explain how to do that but that that you probably should you should be able to take care of it all online. That's what I believe they've got it set up now. All right, man. In the end, both suspects were charged with taking over the limit of crappie. They also received a warning for failing to keep fish separate and identifiable. Thomas received an additional warning for fishing from private land without permission from the owner. They each paid $206 in costs and fines.
