Flounder bag limits five. Minimum size 14. All right, Russell. Here goes your You had here's what we got. Okay. You had five red fish in there. Okay. And all five reds are undersized. They're all illegal. The bag limit on red fish is one per person. And they got to be in between 18 to 27 in. Okay. Okay. They're all your fish in there. All your red fish are are your biggest one's 15 in. Okay. They're they're greatly unders sized. So the bag limit is one 18 to 27. All five that you have in your bucket are less than 15 inches in length. Okay. You had four flounder. Yeah. Two of the four are under size two. The bag limit's five. The size limit is a minimum of 14 in. Okay. So, you can't you can't keep any flounder that's uh less than 14 inches in length. You had two two of the four are are less than 14. I thought it had to be 12 in. No, no, no. Here, I'm fixing to show you. Oh my god. Do you have a handbook? I use a Dude, you got a cell phone right here, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah. This is an app that I use called Fish Rules, right? It operates off the GPS in the in your phone. It says right here, look, five flounder minimum 14 in. Okay? And it says right there, you click on it. No person shall harvest any individual fish less than minimum size limit. Okay? The minimum size limit on Flounder is four per person. Let me take a picture of these fish. Hey, like I told you, man, you ain't going to jail. Okay? I'm just going to write you a ticket and you're going to go home. Okay. All right. But uh and I I'll Here's I'm I'm going to go ask you now. It's going to cost you some money. Do you want to pay the fine or do you want me to set you a court date? If I set up a court date? No. If you set up a court date, I can set up a court date and it ain't no big deal. I'll pay the fine. You sure? Okay. Is it How much is it per fish? It's 250 per fish, I think. I'm not going to I'm not going to set it at 250 per fish, but it it it can be two I think it's 250 per fish. So, it's going to be on my phone. It's going to be like over $1,000. No, I'm not going to set it over a thousand. No, but hey, listen, man. You you you need to download that app on your phone. Hey, and look what I got. This is a seamstress tape. You need to get a something to measure your fish. Do you have I'm just Do you have anything to measure your fish with? I left it on the river like last year. Okay. You got to have something to measure your fish with. Go ahead and put your fish in your uh there is there there ain't no fish in that bucket, is there? Okay, good. Okay. All right. Let me uh let me take a picture of these fish and uh and and do my paperwork and I'll cut you loose. Okay. All right. All right, Russell, here goes your driver's license, man. Like I explained to you, I ain't taking you to jail. I am going to address it with a ticket, okay? And you asked for a payable fine. So I don't set the fines. It's in the computer. Okay? So when I do the charge, it puts the fine amount in there. Okay? So, I am citing you for over the bag limit, a red drum, undersized red drum, and undersized flounder. Okay? Like I explained to you earlier, each fish is a violation. And the fine amount for each fish is $210 per fish. You got five undersized drum. That's 2 4 6 810. That's $2,50, right? No, that's that's 1,50 for them red drum plus the flounder which is 210 and 210. Okay, so that would be 14 15 no 1470 I think it would be if I if I add it up correct. Okay, but I didn't set your fine amount at that. Okay, this is a property receipt basically stating what I'm taking from you are five red fish and two drum. The reason being that I'm taking the red fish is because all five are undersized and you're over the bag limit and I'm taking them two undersized drum. Okay, the fish will be destroyed. I'm taking them and they'll be destroyed. Here goes your copy of the ticket here. Okay, like I explained to you, I cited you for over the bag limit of red drum, undersized red drum, undersized flounder. You're fine right there. Right there. That's your final amount. Okay, that's h that's about half of what I told you. Okay, the only other option if you don't like that fine amount, the other option you have is to call this number right there. See that number right there? Yeah. 904. Yep. If you don't like that fine amount, you need to call that number within 10 days and schedule a court date. Okay. Pay that fine or schedule a court date. Okay. What's the limit on how long it takes? It's going to take me a while to pay it. Is there like a time limit? I don't know. You need to call that number right there and see. Okay. They'll tell you. Call that number right there and they'll tell you. Okay. All right. But that's your fine amount if you decide to pay it. Okay. If you don't pay it, you need to call that number within 10 days and schedule a court date. Okay. But if you don't pay it and don't schedule a court date, they will put a warrant out for your arrest. Okay, there goes your copy there. Hold on to that. You going to need that? Did you download that app? Yes. Fish that that fish rules. Okay. And you need to get a ruler to measure your fish. Okay? Because red drum and flounder, there's a size limit on them. Okay? Remember, pay that amount. If you have a problem paying that amount, you need to call that telephone number right there and speak and talk it over with them. Okay? They may be able to set you up on a payment plan. Okay? Okay. But hey, I want you to understand you could have went to jail for those fish. Okay? I know I like I said because and I told you at the beginning because just cooperate with me and I'll write you a ticket and you'll go home. Okay? That like I said, just make sure you pay that amount or schedule a court date. Okay? If you have a problem paying that amount, you need to call that telephone number and see if they can't put you up on a payment plan. Okay. Yeah, I'm going to call them and see if they can put on a Do you have any questions for me? No. Mr. Russell, you're free to go home. Okay. All right. You, too. In the end, Russell received three secondderee misdemeanor charges. Less than a month later, he paid a total of $630 in fines.
