The judge decides it all. So the judge might say, "We're dismissing it." and that's it. The judge might say, "Here's a court cost that you just pay." The judge might implement a fine or he might not do anything. The judge decides it. So that's why I say you go to the court and you you tell the judge if you're guilty or not guilty and the judge then will set if you say that you're not guilty, the judge will set a future date for a trial, >> right? And then after that's all done, that's when they determine whether or not you're going to pay a fine. >> So I had to get a lawyer for that, right? It would be my if it were me. I'm not an attorney, right? So, I don't know how the courts work. I would do that if it were me. But that's something that you have to decide. In the end, both Jeffrey and Hector were charged with harvesting or possessing spotted sea trout less than 15 in. Hector hired a criminal defense attorney and initially pled not guilty. He later pled no contest and his adjudication was withheld. While we cannot see the full sentencing information, we can see that he paid $294 in cost and fees.
