this is um let me think about it no that's why we're trying to get you in the car on February 6th 2022 an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle with a broken headlight this observation led to a traffic stop that quickly escalated when the officer observed that the driver and passenger had switched seats plan to arrest what plan to arrest that's that's what yeah so I'm going to jail that's usually need to know what happens to my dog as soon as the officer stopped the vehicle and began approaching the car he noticed that the driver was now a woman wrapped in a towel claiming they had just come from the beach the woman explained that she had lost her ID but offered to provide her driver's license number she also mentioned that the car was recently purchased and was still registered in Utah awaiting registration in their current state hello want to roll up the back window yeah back back another un this this see your driver's license registration you have a headlight out yeah I know I know I tried to put some um some like utility lights up there because it's just smashed out I can't get the wire and F all right but I can give you my driver's license number and my name because I just lost my okay you have the registration for the car well I have the title what's that I have the title okay you I haven't haven't I got it from Utah so I haven't had it registered yet okay we just came from the beach okay look I'm wearing a towel came from the beach we laid now went to sleep and the and the um as the conversation continued the officer noticed the passengers nervous movements which raised suspicion the passenger's Behavior suggested he might be hiding something it became apparent that the passenger had had switched seats with the driver to avoid detection possibly due to not having a valid driver's license or another legal issue all right sir do me a favor quit you're moving around way too much in that car making me awfully nervous yeah yeah you calm down just we all get nervous around car this is this is my this is my title I haven't had it register 109 South Third Street 109 South Third Street okay and I can give you my social and my driver's license number I just lost my ID I was R ready I got a docket number and a case number for that so if you want to look that up it's not registered anything it's not registered to well it's registered to someone but it's not registered to me it's not registered to this car I guess anymore because my new tag came in my dealer that I bought it from but they're still in Utah okay given the passengers suspicious actions the officer decided to remove both individuals from the vehicle they were asked to step out and the officer observed the passenger trying to conceal something behind the seat the woman still wrapped in a towel was asked to cover herself properly before exiting cuz I left you so I went back to Nashville my boyfriend died and I came back down here or I came down here 3 weeks ago all right so all you're wearing is a towel you're not wearing anything underneath it all right well you need to wrap yourself up and step out of the car wipe myself off what's that wipe myself off you need to wrap yourself up from the towel oh and step out of the car inent exposure no ma'am what's the problem I'll explain to you when you get there well watch him he's been moving around a lot okay chill will you step back while we get out no ma'am based on all his movements and he looked like he hid something behind the seat they changed they changed positions as they both stepped out the officers proceeded to detain both the driver and the passenger the driver continued to argue insisting that she had a valid driver's license and that the car was legally hers although not yet registered in the current state him into custody step out yeah you guys there's something going on here's step back over here we went to the beach and okay I came back I came down here he's a friend from me from from church I grew up with him from church we went to M Church of Christ in Tennessee and um he he came down here um to get clean and sober and do well for himself and I came down here about 2 weeks ago and before we continue on all right I'm going to read you what's called Miranda warnings okay right salent okay go ah arrest her the officers however focused on handling the situation without resorting to violence they handcuffed the passenger who had been reaching into his pockets continuously which made the officers uneasy your hands out of your pocket just right now you understand uh you just be DET chained based off of you reaching around and everything for our safety new safety that's what we're detaining you for all right what were you reaching before you in your pockets you can mycket I know but why were you going in your pockets want to sit here you got a curve right here business you want to check my poets go ahead or do you have anything underneath or is it just a towel no it's just a towel what AM IED for what am I erased for driver's license car is not registered I do have a driver's license car's not registered my okay my car isn't registered because I just from Miami I have a docket number for Miami a case number where they documented that my license was stolen because I was raped robbed and rofi at the same time all at once in one time in one night so my car got told my all got taken I'm not doing that again we sit in the car I have a case number it's in the car let me get it for you and you can call Miami and ask him about it I have a valid driver's license there's no reason why I need to be arrested right now no I I I won't accept this because I'm not losing my dog again sit in have a seat please take him please take him have a seat please take him have a seat slide back in you want her to take your dog I want her to take my dog you we haven't even gotten to the point where we got to figure out what's going on with the dog I well I'm not worried about the dog anymore I need to know what's going on he just told you not my headlight was off and my license is valid I don't have any any warrants or any any um like suspensions or anything against it so there's no reason why I need to be be arrested right now so until you know that I don't I don't need to be under arrest I can be detained but I'm not under arrest I'm detained right listen I'm detained you being detained this okay can I sit on the side walk I don't want to be in the car listen to me this is not our case with back up units I agree I understand that listen to me our Sergeant stop you for whatever reason you're being detailed just have a SE just have a seat there and he will come and talk to you as a sight but working yourself up it's not going to I'm going to get worked up when my dog gets when I get I'm naked can I put some clothes on please cuz this is kind of um this is harassment this is um let me think about it this harassment that's why we're trying to get you in the car so you can sit in the car no because I can get clothes out of my car because I shouldn't even be detained my license is valent he didn't even look it up I don't have a license we don't know why you're being detained yet but you you are being detained he's going to come to I bought it in Utah I drove to Nashville I was there for about a month didn't have a chance to get it registered Che my boy my boyfriend died of an overdose so at that point my sister was on meth my brother's on crack me to be there my boyfriend just died I came down to Florida to stay with him once both individuals were detained the officers conducted a thorough search of the vehicle they discovered several items that raised further suspicion including drug rated equipment and an open container of alcohol switch drivers man I got I got to work in the morning I'm just trying to get home back to my question why'd you switch drivers all right can you get my I don't I don't know what you're trying to say you were driving right up until we got right in here and then you guys switch seats thank you man you you're welcome yes and I'm from Nashville I grew up with him from church I went to church with him he's actually my brother and sister's older like my older brother and sister's friend and I got to know him a little better like just talking over Facebook but he was down here and it's the only other place I could have been in Utah as well otherwise I'd be up on meth or up in Nashville and with a dog that I can't went to Beach tonight try to better yourself huh you trying months because I knew we were toxic and I uh I mean he was I was 22 when I got with him he was 55 when I left and I left and I went to Utah and I was there for a couple months cuz I had a good friend there that would let me stay with her and stuff and I mean I was clean I was good and I came back home and it wasn't two weeks and he overdosed and died and my sister's on meth my brother's a crackhead my mom's trying to take care of all of us and the grandbabies that my sister takes care of so I just couldn't be there anymore are your sister's kids or your kids they're not my kids they're my sister's kids I mean they're my kids she had them for me there's lights up there though were they broken they they got smashed someone backed into me and they were smashed so I put like I had like I got one from Home Depot and I caught a couple others but I put three of them up there I call it three-eyed monster just so there's something there and I can see something but one of the headlights works and the other one I got those utility lights up there go ahead hold on one second DUI I've never had a DUI you just gave me your did my sister do that my sister's name Tennessee ID what date was that because I can combat I mean I can't combat that here but I can combat that I probably wasn't even in Tennessee for DUI I've never had a DUI you have a twin my sister I can show you my sister she looks a lot like me she looks a lot and I can see her she's on meth so I can see her my name is China c h i n a my sister's name is Cheyenne but she so you g me your sister's ID number then ity it says Cheyenne I think that's what he told no well they might have SE they saw C that is my ID number they might have gotten it confused because both of our initials are se you need a radio that and ask because I've never had a DUI and if she used my name in Tennessee between the dates of let me think all right go and stand up Sir you're under arrest for driveway license is revoked oh man have you already searched him I have not this person H hang right here buddy anything in your pockets on Cut poker stabbing no needles no nothing like that Additionally the officers found that the woman's license was revoked and that the passenger had several outstanding warrants including one for driving without a valid license this led to their arrest and subsequent trial okay so here do me a favor okay slide in the car for a second let me shut the door let me run it on here and let me see the picture that pops up I'll show you her ID picture and I'll show you and you can that's fine just slide in for a second I just for a second listen I mean when are you going back cuz I can't when are you coming back cuz I I'm going to sit right here in the front real quick I want to yes I am I'm going to run the ID number but um he pulled me over my license was revoked then and I haven't been in a DUI since I got down here or I'd already be in jail well this was from I guess Tennessee that do you what date I don't know let me look me look in there and I'll let you know will you look honestly truly I'm you promise me yes I'm going to slide right swear to God listen I'm telling you going you swear to God you're going to look in there and look at what date it came from I'm going to do yes I'm going to do it just slide in there quick where are your clothes at man and I couldn't even tell you let me talk to her you want to talk to her yes look I live I pretty much live out of that car so my clothes are everywhere but most of it's in the trunk what do you mean if you want to take me with you I can show you I need I mean I need everything okay well I can get you a shirt and some pants or shorts right now um I can you some brown panties too or some socks walk around that Miami little thing you looked at I was walking around with socks feet for like a whole day TR to get my car back all right so they're in the trunk most of it in the but my bra is in getting out I'm not getting out I'm not getting out it's okay but my bra is can I please come with me my car is a wreck man I'm not I'm ashamed for you even look through that I live out of that car we see it all the time I know you do but
