An Alaska State Trooper responded to a call in reference to someone shooting two ducks before driving away in a truck. The officer located a male mallard from the pond, processed it, and donated the meat to charity. A few hours later, he spotted a truck matching the description provided by the caller. >> What's it going? >> Yeah. >> I'm Trooper Tony back here out of Valdez. Um I see you got a firearm there, right? Okay, anything else? >> Yeah, the firearm is in the backseat. >> What's that? >> The firearm is in the backseat. >> Oh, okay, cool, cool, cool. Well, I do need to talk to you about shooting out the road earlier this morning. So, what were you doing there? >> This morning? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> It was out the road at about 8 and 1/2 mile. >> This morning? >> Yeah. Yeah. I I don't just randomly go up to a vehicle and say, "Hey, what were you doing shooting off the side of the road or whatever?" But, somebody was back there on that road with their two little kids. They saw your vehicle, so it's you. But, I'm just wondering, do you know you can't discharge a firearm off like anywhere in Alaska? >> By Glacier Lake? >> Uh it was out the road a little ways, about 8 and 1/2 mile of the Rich Highway. >> Okay. You Where Where you Where you shot from on the road, just a little ways down, there's another road that goes behind the lake. >> Okay. >> And there is a father and there's two little kids walking back there. >> Okay. >> That's why we have a city ordinance that says don't discharge a firearm. And and And I know you probably I mean, you're coming into Valdez, you're probably not going, "Okay, let me look at the city ordi- You know, nobody Most people don't do that."
