We're fine right now. >> It's going to be a lot. >> Like you think over them? Is it going to be grand theft? You think >> I'll be close? Probably. Man, there's a lot of clothes. A lot. I'd say between five and seven at the most. >> I just need Becky's statement. What happened before I walked around cuz I just heard her talking and I looked over and there she gave me the description and she started walking away. >> I think uh she resisted. >> I was trying to resist. Once you walk away, >> I was trying to resist >> I was trying to do that with him, man. I don't know why he do that. I wasn't trying to resist. I just wanted to be able to call somebody, you know. >> Well, you started running away. >> I want I was trying to tell you to let me use my phone. You already had my arm, so I was trying to resist. >> You need uh book. >> Are you burning anywhere from the fall? when when I'm trying to put you in handcuffs. >> No, I wouldn't do that to you. >> He wouldn't be in trouble regardless. The officer stopped me and he said I got a warrant so they taking me to jail. >> Yeah. >> I'm inside the store in this little thing right here. As the warrant sat on the table ready to crush her, Alicia's denial game hit overdrive. Officers pieced the story together while her It wasn't me played like a broken record, all while begging for her sister to call. The absurdity stacked higher and higher, flipping a local snag into a full-blown courtroom drama waiting to happen. >> All right. >> Yeah. Call her and tell her to um take my keys and stuff home. Tell her Tell her to just take everything home and put it in my room. Okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> All right. >> All right. >> There you are. >> Wasn't expecting that. >> I'm going away. I'm just messing with you. >> Do what? >> I was just messing with you cuz you thought that's what I was trying to do. I wasn't doing >> You were You were resisting. >> All right. Look, let me show you. >> Hey, stop. You looked right at me. Look. Says police. >> No, no, no. I did. Honestly, I wasn't looking. I wasn't trying to I'm going to tell you the truth. I went blank. Honestly, I did. Like, I went blank. I wasn't trying to >> Well, just just sit down for Oh, well, I wasn't trying to do that. I promise I wasn't. >> Oh, you were way off, Everett. >> Yeah. Well, I told John it'd be probably grand. >> So, what that is? >> That is felony. Yeah. Felony Grand Theft over $750 is a felony in Florida. So I got felony >> right now. Yeah. And then what what happened when you tried to confront her? >> She put just push the buggy around. >> I just pushed the bug in. Right over here. >> Okay. >> I can look at it. I can tell you where exactly in Alabama. >> Huh? >> I can look at it and tell you where exactly. >> Can you make the call for me? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Just hop in and I'll make a call. Don't fall. >> Ah. These handcuffs, please. >> Hold them. Yeah. >> Please. >> All right. Which one's getting tight? >> Uh, both of them tight. Hang on. >> I promise I ain't going to run. I ain't going to resist none of it. >> It's not going to feel comfortable cuz they're handcuffs. >> I probably got to stand up. >> No, you're good. >> Go to contacts, please. >> Oh, here. I can't see. >> Where's it at? >> You can talk to her in here. >> Okay. Well, I can't. Yeah, you're scoot back. You try to put it on your leg. It's going to fall off. Hold on. >> I'll just walk over there. >> Okay. And uh call my dog Kiana. It say that? >> That's the one that just called you. >> She called me. >> Yeah, she called. You haven't missed a call from that. >> You got to hang up and dial her again cuz it's going to go straight to voicemail first ring. >> Really? >> Yeah, man. I'm in the back of the police car. They they >> I know. What you want me to do? >> They ran my name and he said I got a warrant in um Alabama. That's That's what Yeah, basically. But you know, I ain't never been to no Alabama, though. >> What you mean? How you got to run in Alabama? >> She tried hard to run from her bald-headed lies, but the cops weren't buying a word, especially with reality standing right in front of them spelling it out. With no wiggle room left, they escorted her straight into the squad car, sending her off to her real destination, the police station, where excuses don't work and the paperwork always wins. >> I don't know. >> So what a That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to figure out what you want me to do. You want me to call um >> call Tiana on 3way 2X real quick? >> You wanted me to call you on three. >> Hello. >> Yeah, they taking me to jail. They talking I got a warrant in Alabama. >> What? What? What jail you going to? >> I don't know. He >> the Scambia County Jail, Pensac. >> What you got to watch for? >> I don't know. Oh, I swear to God I ain't did nothing in no Alabama. I don't know what the [ __ ] he talking about. >> He talking about he could pull it up and see what county or something, >> but I ain't never been to Alabama but one time. >> I ain't That's been a long time ago. >> Hey, so real quick. >> I do got a trespassing on this property for one year. >> Um, so that includes Murphy's store and all that. Just don't come back. All right. If you do, it'll be arrested on site or a warrant. Yes. >> Hang on. >> When you went to try to apprehend her, you stopped her at the door. She said it's in the buggy and then she took off. >> That's when you showed up and >> Did you say anything else to her? >> No. >> All right. Swear >> cuz you and Everett's going to be on this one. >> Thank you. >> It's in Scambia County, Alabama. Like the Brutin area. Just says theft of property third degree. They have the property. >> Yeah. I I mean, I can't read the report because it's in another state. So, Escambia County, Alabama's just north of Escambia County, Florida. >> Sir, I promise I ain't never took no property or nothing. >> I mean, you did here. So, I mean, I don't know what the laws are in Alabama, but they're saying you did it there as well. >> In the end, Alicia's Walmart whirlwind landed her way more than she bargained for. A perfect lesson for anyone who thinks the law is just a joke and still has the audacity to play innocent when caught. Hopefully, after some time behind bars, she might finally learn the weight of her actions. Alicia was charged with grand theft between $750 and $5,000, resisting an officer without violence, and resisting recovery of stolen property. Due to repeated probation violations, including another Walmart theft and resisting arrest, she was sentenced to 274 days in jail, which she is currently serving.
