Officers with Florida Fish and Wildlife were on patrol when they observed a white Chevrolet truck with an altered tag. Upon running the tag, they discovered the tag was not assigned to any vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. It's just you in the truck? Okay. All right, go ahead. Put your hands up. All right, put them on the back of your head. Okay, I'm just going to put you in cuffs, okay? Just place your hands behind your back. You You got my What's What's going on? If the tag should have fell off After the arrest, officers continued to investigate the truck, trailer, and vessel. They later discovered the trailer tag was stolen from a different boat trailer. On the boat, they found two rivets where a hull identification number was removed from the vessel. Larry was ultimately charged with driving while designated as a habitual traffic offender, possession of a schedule two substance, unlawfully attaching a registration license plate not assigned, operating an unregistered and unnumbered boat, felony petty theft, and possession of a vehicle with an altered hull ID number. He pled no contest and was adjudicated guilty of all charges. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and ordered to pay $780 in costs and fines.
