A conservation warden with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources was on patrol when he contacted two individuals at the Fox Point boat launch in Brown County. Hey guys, State Warden. In the end, the suspect was charged with operating a boat with a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a boat while intoxicated, and possession of marijuana on state land. The operating while intoxicated charge was dismissed, and he pled no contest to the remaining charges. He was adjudicated guilty and ordered to pay $784 in costs and fines. Additionally, his Wisconsin boating safety certification has been permanently revoked, meaning he can no longer operate the boat where the certificate is required.
