So, everything should be in the back of the truck. >> In the end, Ethan was charged with 69 individual misdemeanor charges that break down as follows. 16 counts of possession of undersized crawfish, 13 counts of being over the crawfish limit, 19 counts of possession of crawfish in a closed season, 18 counts of harvesting crawfish with a spear, and one count of harvesting crawfish without a measuring device. He initially plead not guilty and demanded a jury trial. While awaiting his trial, he was arrested and charged with battery, obstructing justice, and fleeing and eluding with lights and sirens active. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was transported back to Monroe County. He pled no contest to 18 misdemeanor charges. He was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for time served and 6 months of probation. He was also ordered to complete a Florida fish and wildlife course, 50 hours of community service, and pay $518 in cost and fines, which remains entirely unpaid.
