From a car thief in Arkansas who only wanted to drive his dream car and a Mustang outside of Little Rock that met the front end of a police cruiser to a Texas speed demon who put himself on a dead-end street and much more. Here are the craziest Mustang police chases caught on camera. right now. It was February 29th of 2024. Arkansas State Trooper James Booth had just gotten on I30 East north of Little Rock when he spotted a silver Ford Mustang with a suspicious tag. He ran the plate number only to learn that the tag had expired back in 2022 despite the fake expiration sticker saying April 20th of 2024. The driver, later identified as Mares Williams, got off the highway and watched in his rear view mirror as Trooper Booth pulled up behind him. His palms sweat, his grip on the wheel tightened. Then, when it was clear that Trooper Booth was trying to pull him over, Mares did the dumbest thing imaginable. He ran. Oh yeah. [Music] story. [Music] [Music] [Music] Yeah. Right. right now. Please don't [Music] [Music] control.4. Welcome [Music] [Music] down 13. [Music] Trooper Booth chased Williams through someone's backyard onto the nearby railroad tracks. That's when another officer from Little Rock PD arrived and helped to take the suspect down. After being medically cleared, Williams was taken to Palaskki County Jail on several charges, including failure to register a vehicle, speeding, and fleeing. Everything might be bigger in Texas, but the cops are significantly faster in Arkansas. This lonear kid learned that lesson the hard way when he tried fleeing from the ASP in his bright blue Mustang on May 11th of 2022. Trooper David Robinson was heading west on Highway 630 when he spotted the Mustang speeding through traffic. The suspect thought he could outsmart the police, but he'd clearly never dealt with the ASP. 28 left 021. [Music] 61 [Music] east7. Still west 630 coming up for the 430 split. Keep passing up. going for 30 south. Looks like he's going to go to point [Music] 130. Looks like he's taking a ride. I don't think he realizes it's a dead end. [Applause] You just hit him at the end of [Music] hard. Let me see your hands. Let me see your hands. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground. Did you catch what Trooper Robinson said toward the end there? I don't think he realizes it's a dead end. Our officer knew he had the suspect dead to rights at that moment. He knows these roads better than most people, especially this out of state punk. Unfortunately, we never learned the suspect's name or what he was charged with. In the end, he was dumb enough to run from the police, but smart enough to know when it was over. On December 20th of 2024, a Florida Highway Patrol officer attempted to stop a speeding Mustang driving on the wrong side of the road in Washington County. Instead of pulling over, our driver, Alex Daniel, led police on a dangerous wrongway chase. [Music] Turn into a cemetery. [Music] Careful. Your radio's cut now. You back [Music] northbound 4K wants to know original charges. [Music] Alex thought he'd pulled a fast one, but instead of vanishing down a side street, he decided to rip up somebody's lawn and get back on the highway. [Music] 1834, get back to the lane. Alex kept trying the same trick. He'd drive in oncoming traffic while our FHP officer stayed in the other lane. Then he'd hit the brakes or attempt a U-turn to lose the police. Thankfully, our officer wasn't falling for it and quickly caught up when Alex veered onto another road. [Music] [Music] [Music] Temple crazy. [Music] 1834. What was that last call? [Music] [Music] [Music] 1834 if you want [Music] spikes. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Our officer was in a decent position to pit maneuver the Mustang. Alex simply slipped away. The chase continued until our officer got another chance. This time, he wouldn't miss. [Music] signal for both [Music] [Music] [Music] Yeah. Beautiful. Got your pants. Skip around. After a shortfoot chase, our tattooed suspect was arrested and charged with several crimes related to this chase. Unfortunately, we don't know much else about his story. As of this writing, the charges against him are still pending in Washington County, Florida. Running from the police is an easy way to make a bad situation significantly worse. Take this driver from Stone County, Arkansas, for example. On June 27th of 2023, ASP trooper Daniel Walcott spotted a white Ford Mustang with expired tags. Instead of stopping and accepting his traffic ticket, this driver decided to test his horsepower. In the end, it cost him his freedom and his car. [Music] building 237. Heat. Heat. 37. 439 speed. Hands in the air. You put your hands in the air. With his hands out the window and his engine smoking, our suspect decided that now was a good time for a cigarette. Trooper Walcott didn't appreciate the suspect's lax attitude. Drop that cigarette. Yes, sir. You the one that's running in the black truck? No, sir. I don't want no black truck. I'm sorry. Why are you running? Why'd you stop me? Because your tags are expired. Are they? For driving with expired tags, a first time Arkansas offender can expect to find between $50 and $100. If caught a second time, police reserve the right to impound your car until your registration is figured out. After this chase, our driver turned what may have been a $100 ticket into several,000 worth of damage, not to mention a trip to county jail. Turn that vehicle off, man. Don't run. You make it worse for yourself. Just turn your vehicle off. Come on. Go. All right, let's go. On January 29th of 2022, ASP Corporal Hubard was working speed radar on I40 near Forest City, Arkansas, when he clocked a black Mustang doing 85 in a 65 mph zone. Corporal Hubard activated his lights and sirens and caught up to the speeding Mustang. To the driver's credit, he actually pulled over when he saw the police lights behind him. typically stop 87. Where we going, dog? Where are we going? Corporal Hubard walked up to the car where he met the driver, Terry Lee Beckett, and his female passenger, Jamie Shivers. Hubard then returned to his vehicle and ran Terry's information. That's when he learned who Terry was and how dangerous he might be. Probation parole. We got the wrong tag on there. Known to be armed at dangerous probation or probation. All right. Well, right now they want you locked up to your par. You can talk to your parole officer. All right. Don't do that. Just turn your vehicle off. Go ahead and turn your vehicle off, man. We can get this thing. Huh? Go ahead and turn your vehicle off. Not right now until you turn that vehicle off, man. Don't run. Make it worse for yourself. Just turn your vehicle off. Come on. Corporal Hubard tried to warn him, but Terry had already made up his mind. [Music] Was it easy? Heat. Heat. [Music] Everybody in the world. [Music] Thank you. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Okay. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] It's hard to hear, but Terry's car made several loud popping noises. Corporal Hubard didn't know if the engine was sputtering or if Terry was shooting at him. He was warned to consider Terry armed and dangerous, so our officer wasn't taking any chances. He grabbed his patrol rifle from the back seat and returned to the chase. He's going eastbound in the westbound lanes. Eastbound in the westbound [Music] [Music] lanes. Traffic is stopping now. He's down in the medium. He's down in the medium. The quick Uturn helped Terry put some distance between himself and Corporal Harbert. Thankfully, our officer never lost visual and caught up after a few minutes. Heat. Heat. [Music] 16 [Music] up ahead. Another ASP trooper gets ready with spike strips. Hopefully, they can slash Terry's tires and put this wanted man behind bars. [Music] [Music] your [ __ ] I see. I see him. [Music] [Music] probably going to crash Terry gole. As Corporal Hubard pulled over, he noticed Terry running with a pistol in his right hand and a gun case in his left. He gave chase, ready to fire his patrol rifle if things went south. Thankfully, they never did. Terry fled into a nearby treeine where he hid for 5 hours. His luck ran out when a police helicopter spotted his bright red shirt in the brush. Police zeroed in and arrested Terry without further incident. Terry's passenger was also arrested for throwing unknown objects from the car. It's unclear what the objects were, but we're guessing there's something a parole isn't supposed to have. Many people dream of driving high-performance cars. This Arkansas man always wanted to get behind the wheel of a roaring Mustang. However, several poor life choices meant his dream would likely never come true. Instead of accepting his fate, he decided to change it. On May 10th of 2023, he stole a 2015 Mustang in the college city of Conway, Arkansas. Local PD quickly contacted the state police, at which point ASB trooper Dumont positioned himself to intercept the stolen vehicle. She spotted the Mustang coming down the on-ramp and didn't let off the gas until this car thief was brought to justice. [Music] [Music] units in between me and 35 right now. Do you have the engine? Other officers talk about putting spike strips down, but the Mustang is too fast for them to get ahead of it. Trooper Dumont knows it's up to her to stop this guy, even if it means chasing him down these narrow Arkansas back roads. Taking up range road upper [Music] road trying to get to Happy Valley if he comes out there. [Music] coming back down. If you take wall road, you take out 326 road up here on your right. 55 to 60 right now. See if we can put him in the ditch. [Music] If I need to turn around, I need to get back. 30 behind you. Comment below down the whole road. [Music] He's surrounded. He's off in the ditch. We're down here on 326. Trooper Dumont only had one question for the suspect when she pulled him from the car. Was it worth it? He responded candidly, saying he knew he was going to jail anyway. He'd never get another opportunity to drive a car like that, so he wanted to make the most of it. Unfortunately, we never learn the suspect's name or what he was charged with. Now that he's sitting in county jail, we wonder if he's second-guessing his choices. Maybe some dreams aren't meant to come true. You might be wondering how this suspect walked away after driving his Mustang off the road, flipping it, and putting it through somebody's fence. Well, it began on June 16th of 2023 when ASP trooper Darren Evans spotted the blue Mustang while on duty. It was wanted on a minor traffic warrant. Had the driver simply stopped, he would have gotten to go home that day. Instead, he decided to spend the night in county jail. [Music] [Music] 4017 592 Young [Music] [Music] That's getting hit. [Music] Uh speed traffic. Traffic still light. Looks like he's leaving town about 95 right now. Speed 115. You turn down Highway 185 towards the airport. He ran off the road, but he's back home now. [Music] are 86 doing this probably [Music] 185. Move in the TV. We're on about 80 right now. [Music] TVI roll over. TVI roll over. With the suspect in custody, Trooper Evans backs up to give us a better view of the wrecked car. Unfortunately, we never learn the suspect's name, so it's unclear what he was charged with regarding this chase and what his past crimes entail. Based on his conversation with Trooper Evans, he didn't have anything to worry about until he decided to run. [Music] Hello. July 8th of 2023 began as another day on the job for ASP trooper William Cash. Then around 2:01 p.m., he received a call about a chase heading his way. Police in Conway, Arkansas were in hot pursuit of a 2008 gray Ford Mustang traveling upwards of 130 mph. The roads were wet, crowded, and primed for an accident if the police didn't stop this madman. He quickly learned that ASP troopers won't hesitate to pit, no matter the speed. Still over 100 mph. Copy it. [Music] 68 [Music] [Music] road 68 throughout narcotics rock 127. Excuse me. 125. 125 now. 125. Passing 125 throughout. Got it. [Music] Copy that. So, he's on foot. He's bailing. He's running over to the east side. [Music] He did give up. As trooper Cash turned around, he spotted the driver leaving the crashed vehicle and attempting to flee on foot. Mr. Derek Blevens was quickly apprehended and arrested for several felony crimes. Among them was narcotics possession after police found an ounce of methamphetamine that Derek had thrown from the vehicle.
