On January 3rd, 2026, officers responded to a call involving a couple after an argument over cheating got physical. >> He's cheating on me, okay? And I just got them together. And he don't want to face it to me. >> Okay. So, you started chasing him around? >> Yes. >> That was the brightest thing to do? >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you have ID on you? Are you injured or anything? >> My knee hurts. >> Why does your knee hurt? >> Cuz I was running, too. I I I left the car parking and I was running behind him. >> Do you need the paramedics to check you out? >> I just want to go home to my daughter. I can't I can't get >> How long have you guys been together? >> 12 years. >> Oh. So, so walk me through what what exactly happened tonight. >> I got home. My daughter said that he went to go get her at the car. >> Okay. >> So, he was talking to me on the phone, texting me. >> Okay. >> And after that, he stopped. >> Okay. >> So, I tracked his location and said he was here. And something told me that he wasn't here, that he just left the phone. >> Okay. >> Then I come over here, wait. >> Okay. >> And then saw my daughter and then bloop around and he was coming walking because they saw me. >> Okay. >> So, you asked my friend. >> Oh. >> Okay. >> Before we go any further, let me read you something, okay? You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions and to have him with you during questioning. So, what were your intentions? >> This is what I'm here to try to do. >> what were you doing with the car? >> To talk to me and tell me why he's doing this to me. Why Why do I deserve to have this? Cuz I have done nothing to him. >> Okay. So, were your intentions to hit him with the car? >> Oh, no. No. I love him. Why can't I hit him? Why? >> Well, I don't know. You said you were chasing him with your car. >> doesn't even want to see me. He doesn't even want to give me the face. He doesn't want to talk to me. I want to hear him talk to me and tell me why he's doing this to me. >> Okay, so you were just driving around trying to chase him with your car? >> I think he's going to be home right now cuz somebody somebody dropped him off. Whoever called you dropped him off because that guy told me in the gas station told me whatever was happening he having been done over here that he got his child. I don't even know that. >> Did at any point you hit him? >> Yes, I did. >> You hit him? Okay, why did you hit him? >> Because I was mad. >> Okay, did he hit you? >> No. >> Okay, how did you hit him? Did you like swat at his face, his arms? >> No, in the face. It's just like here. >> Hit the back of his neck? Okay. >> Ow. >> Do you think he has any injuries on him? >> I don't I don't know. Maybe it was my nails. >> How many times did you did you hit him? >> One, maybe two times to grab him. >> And in the same spot? Okay. >> Based on what everyone's told us, it sounds like you you all had a fight over there. >> Yeah. >> And then she tried to run you over with a [ __ ] car. >> Cuz >> Like >> Cuz I had my car there parked. Okay. I ain't going to lie. I cheated on her so I was I was with somebody else. I parked my car down Walmart. >> So >> It's been It's been tough. >> Yeah, no that's that's fair, man. I We all got relationship troubles at some point in life, you know? Do you mind if I just grab your sworn statement that way I don't have to have you repeat everything. It's just me put putting you under oath saying, "Hey, you know, this is it and I don't want to press charges." You know what I mean? Just to cover all bases. >> know she she [ __ ] me up. Broke my chains. Like ripped them off. I had to like bend them back in. >> She it all those? >> Yeah. But >> Do you mind if I take some pictures of you just to show like what your injuries are? Do you need an ambulance before we continue? >> I don't think I got like injuries like that, you know. >> I know. I still got to just take just for like she's punching at you I got to just take pictures. So I'm just You can close your eyes if you want. I just got to take the the photograph. You're not in any sort of trouble. I I'm just trying to piece together what happened cuz obviously you left before we >> Some random dude he said, "Yo, you need some help? Do you need me to get you out of here?" I'm like, "Yeah, get me out of here because you know I don't want to keep escalating. I'm I'm I'm trying to >> Yeah, you don't want to get in a situation where you're all jacked up and it's yeah. >> I don't know. My mom always told me don't don't hit women and like >> good good advice. Just Just walk me through how the whole thing started like over at Walmart with you pulling up, her her being there and and what led to obviously us being called and you going off with that dude that picked you up. >> Yeah, so um I arrived there with um with my other girl or you know. So she seen her and she said, "Oh no, let's go around the block. I'll leave you over here because she she didn't want to like >> the confrontation. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, yeah. >> So I'm like, "Yeah, just leave me over here because I don't want this, you know, this can get crazy. I don't want that." So I and she left me in the back of the Walmart and then I walked in through the side, bought a water, and came back to my car. But when [snorts] I got to the car, I realized I don't got my keys. She was like parked right there, so she just came at me and she's yelling at me, cursing at me that I'm a liar. I'm like, I feel like yeah, I got caught, you know. I got caught, so I'm not saying nothing. >> Right. >> So she just swings at me and and starts hitting me and I'm like, "Just, you know, leave me alone." Like I try to avoid. I'm yelling like, "Leave me alone. Go over there. I want to be like my size. I want to do this right now." Hm? And she just kept doing it and I don't want I don't want to like I know she was just doing it mad. I >> Yeah, like in a upset >> she trying to make me scared or something, but I I >> But she she accelerated the car at you a couple times? >> Yeah, she did. >> Okay. I know you got picked up by some random dude, right? >> Yeah, yeah. I got picked up >> you off over here? >> Yeah, he dropped me off over there because like he said I can help you so you can so you don't got to be in, you know, in this situation right now. And he was a man of God. He said he'll pray for me and all this stuff. He was a good dude. >> Yeah. >> And now he just dropped me off over here so I can try to get my buddy's house and get phones so I can call this other chick and >> I got you. >> I'm all set you waited. >> And and you said at one point too she had snatched up your chains and jacked them up a little bit. >> They they were broken, but you know, it only hit the lock so I could I bend them back in. >> You were able to bend them back in? >> Yeah, yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah, she ripped it off and >> Looked like they were messing around at first so I didn't think too much of it and I just kept watching them and then I saw it get more serious when she was actually like throwing blows. Um all the way up there's a U-Haul truck parked there and it was all the way like had him almost pinned up against the U-Haul truck like swinging at him. He didn't throw back once at all. Um and then she looked like she was like jogging over to her car which was the white Volkswagen. Got in the car and like hauled ass down out of the parking lot and he kept walking over towards the gas station. She circled back and was hauling ass towards him. Like I thought she was going to really clip him. And then slammed on the brakes right in front of him and then like started inching up to him. Like he's in front of the car backing up and she just kept inching towards him. >> Did it look like she was going to run him over? >> It didn't, but she slammed on the brakes like right then and then started inching towards him. And then he kept walking. She drove off. I mean she was like diagonal right here and he was walking and she came up and he went around the car. She threw it in reverse and tried running him over in reverse. That's where it got more serious like >> So she's actually trying to get him. >> Look like it. This was the most scary for me just cuz she was hauling ass and slamming on the brakes, but then over here it's like she was really trying to get him. She was only going, you know, >> 25 >> 5 10 miles an hour. Um Um and then she I was over here so I got out of the truck cuz they were still waiting for their food. I got out and just walked down the sidewalk um and then saw her saw it again where she kept trying to run him over kind of like >> All right, gas station. >> Yeah, right to the entrance of the gas station. Um same thing where she would kind of like circle around, pick up a little bit of speed, and then try to, you know, whip it around in really tight circles. Um and then she was whipping around the gas station. Um and he or there was another party that came up um like a gray Nissan truck and started >> Yeah, I'm going to go chat with him after this actually. >> Okay, he >> He was just a good Samaritan that was like, "Hey man, you look like you're in a bad spot. Let me help you get out of here." >> Cuz I couldn't really see where he went cuz I was still walking up when she was like doing those tight circles up here. >> Yeah. >> Um and then he So did the guy in the pick in the truck pick him up or something? >> Yeah, took him home. He did Neither of them knew each other. He dropped him off. He called in. He was like, "Hey, I just dropped this dude off. Uh you might want to talk to him." >> Can I see your thing? >> Yep, you can have a seat. Got it? >> Any weapons in the vehicle? >> No, I just search my vehicle if you want. I don't have no weapons. >> You got anything >> Yep. >> I'm going to call my daughter. Is that okay? >> Yeah. Is there anybody home with her right now? Okay. Take a deep breath. You don't You don't want your daughter to hear you crying, okay? >> I don't want to get in your business over there, but it sounds like she's put hands on you in the past and stuff like that. And she's been aggressive with you. >> You heard that? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah, she has. >> So do you think if >> Lately I'm like I hate >> me over, do you think she actually would have done that to you? >> No, I don't know. I [snorts] don't know. But, maybe >> Well, you were you were saying she was pretty like angry angry at you. Like she came up and just started swinging on you. You It's what you told me, right? When you came up. >> I had never seen her that angry before. We were like >> Cuz you've been together, you said 12 years, and she caught you with another chick and that's where it started all. >> angry Yeah. And and and And I hate to say this, but I have I have been like lately getting abused by her, cuz she starts hitting me and all this stuff. And I'm not like like in a in in a relationship with a woman, you you're hitting the woman and it's just like don't want to talk or nothing. I I I I'm not afraid of like getting more hit. I'm afraid of me getting angry and doing something to her, you know? So, that's why like I just keep it I I don't touch her or nothing, but >> Right, but you don't you don't deserve to live in fear, dude. Like if it It doesn't It It's irrelevant whether, you know, she's a chick and you're a dude. If she's putting you in in fear of of being able to enjoy your life and and not get the [ __ ] kicked out of you, right? Like that's that's not okay for her to do that to you, right? And there's got to be a point where that stops. >> to stop. >> You know what I mean? >> Yeah. >> So, in the state of Florida we take domestic violence seriously. Okay? Whether you think it's a serious situation or not, it it is. All right? You're in a situation that's potentially lethal, right? Like you could be killed by this situation if it continues to escalate. So, the state's going to come in and they're going to prosecute whether you want it to happen or not, okay? Based on the information that we have, there's enough here to charge her with what she did to you. So, she is going to jail. That's the unacceptable for any adult to do. >> I'm not I don't want to be with her, but I I don't want to like leave her in there, either, you know? How would I can like try >> Well, I I would recommend not going over They're going to put a protection order a no contact order in place because it'll be temporary. >> live in the same house with her. >> Well, this is going to be restricting her, not you. >> court said she will not be allowed during whatever's going on with your case, you will not be allowed to come back to the house. >> Okay. >> Does that make sense? So >> does it's a violation of that temporary injunction. >> And it's again again, it's on her. The restriction isn't on you. You go home to your house, you do your thing. >> Can you step out of the vehicle for me? And turn around. Go have a seat. >> Following the investigation, officers determined there was enough evidence to arrest the woman for domestic battery. She was taken into custody and officers explained that a temporary no contact order would keep her from returning to the home while the case moved forward. Thanks for watching today's video.
