I'm going to have the ambulance come and help you sit up there. Don't touch me. You physical fight with your daughter, that's why your chest hurts. You were on the No, I fell. That's why my chest hurts. Get ready for a double dose of neighborhood nightmares and family drama. We've lined up [music] two cases today where the common denominator is a total lack of respect and a high appetite for chaos. Let's jump [clears throat] right into the first case. [music] Call the ambulance and when they get here you No, I'm not a lot of ambulance. No, I don't I can't afford an ambulance. Welcome to a front row seat of the most dysfunctional family reunion in New Mexico. We've got a mother who can't remember 5 minutes ago, a daughter who thinks tequila [music] is a food group, and a father who just wants to finish his football game in peace. When the cops show up for the second time in one day, you [music] know you're dealing with professionals in the art of the hot mess. Put on your helmets, folks. >> [music] >> This house is a construction zone for bad decisions. Hi, do you want to come speak with me outside, please? Can you come speak with me outside, please? Do you want to come and sit against the car? Yeah, I don't I just want to be like this all night. Okay, so then where's Do you want me to stand right here in the shady spot? Or you know what, let's go over here by the trash. Okay, so what's going on today? You've already been here. I haven't been here. She's what? She's kind of naked, so Okay. Mom. Are you able to get up off the floor? No. Do you need medical attention? No. Mom, can I can I please get you up off the floor? I don't want you to be like this while I'm speaking to you. Let me get you up. No, wait, because it hurts right in here. So So I'm going to have the ambulance come and help you sit up there. If you could try to help me. Give me your arms. Won't go up. I'm just push me. I'm a little light headed. Okay. >> [cough] [clears throat] >> Is this for the volume? I think so. What's What happened? I don't know. >> I know the cops were here earlier, but what happened right now? The white daughter is drunk. Have you been drinking as well? Yes. Okay. Are you severely intoxicated or you just a little intoxicated? I'm just a little. I mean, I don't drink >> Let's get you up off the floor, please. I can't. I can't move. No, I don't want to move because if something's going to break. The officers arrived to find a mother chilling on the hardwood like it was a five-star mattress. [music] She claimed it hurt to move, yet she was just a little intoxicated, which usually means she was one sip away from seeing double. Dealing with this incredibly dysfunctional family was like trying [music] to herd cats that had discovered the liquor cabinet. Can I just wait a second? >> Yeah. Okay, and then so Are you just sitting here watching TV? Yes, I was just sitting here watching my movie. Are you sure you don't want medical attention? This is It fell. It's a little messy. Here, here, here. I I know you don't want to do that. So you're watching TV and then what happened? I was just watching TV. I don't know what happened. Do you know if she said something to you or did you say something to her first? I don't remember. >> You don't remember? What do you remember? I was just watching TV. I got I don't know. Things fell fell so fast. I don't know. Okay, and then next thing you know you're on the floor or do you remember fighting with her? No, I don't remember. She just grabbed me and threw me on the floor, I guess, but I don't know. I don't know what happened. This poor woman was watching a movie and suddenly ended up grounded, [music] literally. She didn't remember the fight, but she was absolutely certain she couldn't afford an ambulance. It was heartbreaking and frustrating. She had no short-term memory, yet [music] she was being left to navigate a houseful of chaos. She's usually a good daughter, but I don't know what got into her. And then what happened after that when she >> know. I was sitting up on the floor. And you live here? Yes. Does she live here with you? No. She doesn't [laughter] live here. So what's your name, sir? My name is Lawrence Allred. With a W. L A W R E N C E A L L R E D. So can you tell me what happened, sir? Beat the hell out of me. Who? I was watching a football game. Mhm. And I turned here and yelling. And I went out to see what it was. And my daughter and wife were into it. Mhm. Physically, I don't know why. And then So how were they? Yes, sir. Was How was your daughter and your wife fighting? Uh with hands. There's no weapons involved. No. But my daughter has scratches on her arm. I assume she showed it Showed them to you. Mhm. And Lawrence, the man of the house, was just trying to enjoy some football when [music] the screaming started. He watched his wife and daughter go at it with hands and claws like a low-budget nature documentary. >> [music] >> He doubted his daughter threw the mother down, despite the mother screaming like she was being murdered. [music] It made me wonder how people live day-to-day like this without losing their minds completely. And my wife was screaming. Then my daughter had thrown her on the ground. But I seriously doubt that. Mhm. I mean, I didn't see it, but I seriously doubt that that's how it happened. Mhm. I can't imagine my daughter throwing her mother on the floor. And then where were they? On the ground in the living room. What's That's when I saw them. Uh-huh. And then what else did you see? That's pretty much it. Mhm. I mean, my wife was screaming. Yeah, her daughter had thrown her on the floor. Mhm. >> doubt that. What Why do you say that? Because that's not like my daughter to throw her mother on the ground. >> Mhm. I mean, I I just don't I don't understand how that would happen. Mhm. That just doesn't make sense to me. That's That's the core of our daughter with her mother on the ground. Mhm. I think my wife tripped. Fell down. He insisted his wife likely tripped and fell because it wasn't in the daughter's character to be a bouncer. He saw the mother hitting the daughter, though, which turned the victim narrative on its head. Watching him struggle to be honest about his wife's behavior was painful. The next [music] revelation about her health explained a lot. I mean, I hate to be fair witness against my wife. Mhm. But I mean, I just cannot believe that my daughter instigated Mhm. a physical altercation with her mother. That just does not make sense to me. Okay. And what were they doing before you before they were arguing? Well, watching a movie. Mhm. They were together in the living room? Yes, they were together in the living room. No, I had already called the police once. And then, sir, so you were saying that your wife was hitting your the daughter, correct? So Are you okay, sir? That's what I saw. Um how was she punching your daughter? Just scratching at her, just clawing at her. That's how come my daughter has scratches on her arm. It turned out the mother was battling dementia, [music] which explained why she was a blank slate every 60 seconds. Lawrence described her clawing and scratching at the daughter, who was apparently just trying to be a peacekeeper. It was a tragic mix of medical crisis and [music] family drama. This was exactly why the mother needed assisted living. She required constant help that this chaotic environment couldn't provide. No, she does not get violent Mhm. very often. But when our daughter comes around, she gets violent. She gets mad at my She gets mad at her daughter. Mhm. She's not [music] my daughter, actually, but um she gets mad at her Mhm. cuz my daughter tried to correct her behavior and she very much resents that. Mhm. Ma'am, can I take pictures of your injuries? I don't have any injuries. You got some redness all right here on your face. You got into a physical fight with your daughter, that's why your chest hurts. You were on the No, I fell. That's why my chest hurts. I mean, she didn't like pull like that. I fell. I mean Do you mind if we get pictures? If you want to say no, that's okay. No, I don't want Okay, that's fine. We need to just talk to Mr. Larry. I was a court reporter like 20 years. Oh, wow. Really? [clears throat] Oh, wow. Did you retire? Is this your only daughter? Is that your only child or just your Oh, wow. Really? Did you have a hard time with your daughter? Perfect. That's great. I mean, really? Your own daughter? I mean, your own daughter's going to hit you? The officers then went back to the injured woman and asked to take photos of her injuries, but she refused. [music] She said she did not fight and claimed she simply fell, even though there was redness on her face and signs of a physical struggle. What a dreadful family. [music] Adult Protective Services are needed to check the home for the safety of older adults. Yeah. That's I mean, it's not uncommon for me to see. Uh it's a pretty common thing. Yeah. Especially here in Las Cruces. A lot of mothers and daughters fight. And but it's more that the daughter hits the mom first and then the mom hits. Really? It must have, yeah, right? Hit her? Oh, like your strength. There you go. Yeah. Like your limits and everything like that. Do you remember fighting earlier in the day with her, too? The police The police were here earlier. You don't remember? They were They were here. You guys were fighting. You and your daughter were fighting. Again? >> [music] >> Um if she starts trying to get physical with you Okay, even better. So, just give me the phone. I couldn't find your phone, so if you just I couldn't find your phone. If you just want to go in I don't want to go in, dude. She's going to check me. We'll be right here. Go in, get your stuff real quick, and then we'll take off. The daughter, Socorro, [music] was told to grab her stuff and vanish, but she couldn't help but linger like a bad smell. >> [music] >> The officers were being way too patient with a woman who was clearly out of touch with reality. They warned her that her mom was the one screaming for [music] help, yet she stood there like she was the victim of a grand conspiracy. Socorro, take a seat. All right, just stand right here and talk to me. Okay, well, come over here, talk to me outside of the door. Okay, so why are we here again? Why are you getting on the phone screaming at the dispatchers and stuff? How was your mother screaming? I thought I I thought you were going to get your phone and get out. Was it physical this time or not? Socorro, I'm talking to my partner. Socorro. Socorro, we're going to arrest you for obstruction, okay? Do you want to go to jail? Okay, then go sit down over there. Let me talk to my partner. I've been nothing but good to you, right? So, don't don't look at me that way. Don't look at her that way. Socorro. Socorro, I'm talking to my partner. Go sit down. Socorro Marie Gallegos eventually pushed her luck way too far. [music] After being given multiple chances to just walk away, she chose violence. >> [music] >> She assaulted a female officer right there on the doorstep, turning a family dispute into a felony record. She ended her day in handcuffs, >> [music] >> proving that in this house, the only thing more consistent than the drinking was the bad [music] decision-making. Socorro was officially booked on a charge of assault on a peace officer. If you thought that family reunion was a nightmare, wait until you meet our next guest. >> [music] >> In the sun-soaked streets of Las Cruces, a simple bus stop turned into a stage for the absolute absurd. What started as a routine check on a woman harassing bystanders quickly [music] turned into a full-blown wrestling match with a lady who clearly skipped her morning coffee and opted for [music] something much stronger. It was a classic welcome to the neighborhood moment for a poor tourist, featuring [music] a suspect who seemed to have more demons than a horror movie marathon. Give me a second, okay? I want to press charges on her for harassment. She got in your face? YES, IN MY FACE. WHAT'S GOING ON? LET ME TALK TO YOU REAL QUICK. What's going on? What's up with the bus stop? Huh? What happened at the bus stop? Ma'am. Ma'am, what happened? I need to talk to you. Come here. I need to talk to you. Come here. Yes, come over here. No. You can't assault them. Hernandez. Come over here. Come over here, ma'am. Let's go outside. Okay, let's stop right here. Let's stop. Let's Let's stop. No, stop walking. Stop walking. You want to walk towards the car, then let's go. The lady claimed she was the devil, and honestly, with that attitude, I believed her. She screamed in the face of a 71-year-old woman who just wanted to catch a bus, not a case of high blood pressure. >> [music] >> She started wandering toward the cars to escape the cops. This was absolutely nasty and simply gross behavior for anyone to witness in public. Where else you want to Don't talk to them. Walk over here. I'm not going to touch you. Let's go over here. Stay out of the road. Hey, stay out of the road. Oh my god. Stay out of the road. Okay, where else? Stay out of the road now. Okay, so stay out of the road. Stay out of the road. Let's go back over here. Yeah, look. There's Yes, let's go this way. Let's stay out of the road. Go over here. Go over there. Stay out of the road. Okay, stop walking away from me, okay? Stay out of the road, ma'am. We need to talk. Have a seat. I'm not going to touch you, ma'am. Don't. Come here. I need to talk to you. Stop walking away from me, ma'am. Let's Let's just talk. Come here. Come here. Do you want to go in handcuffs? Do you want to go in handcuffs? The officer was trying to keep things under control by moving the person away from the [music] road for safety, but she was treating the road like her personal living room. When he finally threatened the handcuffs, she acted like he asked for her kidney. It was a complete mess of a conversation. Okay, then how about this? Yeah, drop drop your glove. Drop your glove. Okay. Okay, could you please drop it? Don't do that. I'm not Huh? Okay, stop. What do you mean you're off duty? What do you mean? Okay, so what? Who? Do you want to get tased? Okay, we need to go. Huh? Yeah, money back. Put your hands behind you. Put your hands behind you. Stop moving. Stop moving. STOP MOVING. TURN AROUND. TURN AROUND. TURN [laughter] AROUND. TURN AROUND. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. Let go of my hands. Okay. >> Stay right there. No. I This is 87 times. She screamed [music] she was off duty while resisting arrest, which was hilarious because she definitely wasn't on any clock we know. She fought with the power of 10 devils, shrieking for help as if she were the victim. When the officer mentioned the taser, [music] she bragged about having been tased before, like it was a badge of honor. It was disgusting to watch someone act so wild over a simple talk. Turn over. Turn over on your back. Help me. Help me. Help. Help. Help. >> [panting] >> Help. What the hell is that? He's running away. I didn't know that you Stop moving. We're going to be on the ground all day if you want. >> just pay me and I'll pass you. Turn around. Just like the blue. That's five bucks. That's it. Turn around. Like a drug addict. Okay. It's five bucks. I'll let you have good as you like you're good good. Can you flip over, please? >> Five bucks. That's it. What else do you want? Stop moving. No. Don't do that. You're resisting, ma'am. Come on. >> No. He's a cop. Get on your back. Help, please. [crying] On your belly. Help. No. No. No. No. No. Help. I'm not talking to them. Hey, don't kick it. Don't kick me now. You got to turn You got to turn around. No. I'm going to resist. Please help. Please help. Please help. Please help. Please help. Please help. I got it. I got Help. Please help. No. No. No. Get up. Oh, no. >> Get up. Get on the ground. Get your hands behind your back. Okay. Can you Get up. Can you Can you take me to the hospital I asked for earlier? And he said he'd take me to prison. He said he's going to take me to prison. Please stop. Let me go. Can you stand up? Anna ended up eating dirt because she wouldn't stop [music] kicking and flailing like a fish out of water. She kept screaming for her daughter while the officer struggled to keep her from launching a foot into their ribs. >> [music] >> It was a chaotic wrestling match that belonged in a ring, not a sidewalk. I won't fight. Have a seat. Have a seat. Have a seat. Stop putting the leg on me. Stop putting the leg on me, please. Have a seat. I'm here to help you don't fall over. No, I'm a babe and he needs to step back. Then I can step in. He needs to step back. One step back. One step in. One step back. One step in. Have a seat. Come on. Put your feet in. You guys okay? Yeah, I didn't come from New Mexico for this. Arkansas, you even over here? That's my daughter. Yeah, she's visiting me. This is my first time here. My first time flying. I flew here to visit her. We don't have any way to check her blood pressure, but she has high blood pressure, so Also have congestive heart failure. My husband's got cancer and I'm trying to take care of him from here. What What started that whole thing? She I don't know. She just She went down She went down there at the corner and she come back cussing us and I'm going Then she said, "You threw rocks at my cousin." I said, "Ma'am, we did not throw rocks at your cousin." I said I tried to explain to her when the bus went I never saw her cousin. Back at the bus stop, [music] cops questioned the poor ladies who had to endure her devil impressions. One was just visiting from Arkansas and got a face full of crazy instead of a nice vacation. [music] That elderly woman did not deserve that stress at 71. It was heartbreaking to hear them explain the [music] rock-throwing accusations. She said she threw it at her cousin and I never saw her cousin. And I said I didn't see her. I was taking a picture of my driver's license and sitting with my granddaughter. But I said there's a bus that went by that one his tires, you know, threw some rocks cuz some of them hit this. And uh I was trying to talk to her real nice and then she got in my face and said what she did. So what she got in your face? Did she say anything? Yeah, she said, "You're looking at the devil." And made a fist at me. I felt like I was threatened. I felt like she was going to hit me. Okay, I'll get your statement right now. I seen her kick him three times. Okay. So you saw the officer grab the suspect by the wrist and you saw her trying to punch him while he was trying to grab her wrist and then you saw him throwing him down. Okay. Hey, what's your name? I'm Anna Ruth Castillo. And I remember I'm 2,564 years old, but in the day of birth I'm 38, about to be 39. >> Okay. Are you hurting anywhere, Anna? Are you injured anywhere? Do you feel pain anywhere? Um no, it's just hot from the heat. >> Okay, we'll turn the AC on for you, okay? Surprise, surprise. Anna [music] had three outstanding warrants. The officers recognized her as a heavy code 16er, which is fancy cop talk for someone who loves to fight the law. They've dealt with her at the same spot before, [music] so this was just a sequel to a bad movie. It's wild how some people make a career out of being arrested. Stay in the vehicle. Do not get out, okay? These gentlemen here are going to talk with you. Huh? Okay. My name Anna Ruth Anna Ruth? Are you injured? Anna Castillo, right? Anna Ruth Castillo. No, Anna Castillo. What's your name? No, she threw it at her bed. What grade were you here? See the whole thing. I just thought I've dealt with her before, so I know. I know I She made a remark about the scars on my arm or what my puppy dog done. I've got a lot of Chihuahua. And she's really really hyperactive. And I'm like I Can I get your statement? Yeah? Her name Her name is Suzy Grandstaff. I I would I didn't see what where the rocks came from. I didn't see her, but I heard them. But did you see the female get in her face? Yeah, I did. I thought she was going to hit her. Girl, what And so what did you see, ma'am? You saw what? Break it down for me. Okay, this is what I saw, okay? After she come back from the street down there she was standing right there. One of you cops is back here. She was hollering, "Cop cop Then she said she said, "You were throwing rocks." Cuz we said, "No, they're not." And then she just kept on going and then she started getting madder and she tried to talk to her and it didn't work. Then she got in her face and I thought she was going to hit her. She looked like she was on drugs and she She scared me. And did she mention the rocks to you as well? She said we tried to We're going to hit her cousin with the rocks. After she accused them of doing it. And then I got scared of all these people. I thought they were going to come out and get us. What were all all these people doing standing around? When I see something like this, I just keep going. I said, "None of your my business." I've never had an experience like this before. Really? Welcome to Cruces. >> [laughter] >> The officer gave the visitors a warm welcome to Cruces, >> [music] >> which was the most sarcastic greeting ever given the circumstances. They were just glad the cops were nice, even if the locals were a bit stabby and kicky. Anna was finally hauled off to face the music [music] she'd been dodging for far too long. The circus finally packed up its tents for the day. >> [music] >> Thank y'all very much. Y'all been very very nice. This ma'am. Hope you have a safe trip home, okay? Oh, yeah. And I hope I don't Yeah, I [laughter] hope Thank you, sir. I'm not even joking when we say this is like a daily thing, so it's fine. Oh, [laughter] yeah. Here's your souvenir over here. You guys have a good one. Go ahead and step out, ma'am. Stand up. Come on. Come on. What a wild ride at the bus stop. We saw a woman claim to be the devil, try to buy her freedom for $5, and kick a cop like she was trying out for a soccer team. The innocent bystanders got a story they'll tell for years, and Anna got a cozy room at the local jail. Anna Castillo [music] was slapped with charges of battery on a peace officer, resisting or obstructing, and contempt of court due to her pile of warrants. She fought the law and the law won hard. She refused a doctor's visit because [music] she was too busy being the devil to care about her health. Was the $5 bribe the funniest thing you've heard [music] today? Or was it her off-duty excuse? Let us know in the comments. If you want to see more [music] devilish behavior caught on camera, smash that like button and subscribe.
