on August 27th 2024 officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence y hello L please hi hello might just uh stepping out with us real quick I I'm hearing screaming on what's going on in there just got home yeah just got home so do you you you live here yeah my friend and her boyfriend here so we're getting call there's a lot of screaming going on what's yeah I just got home I just walked into okay so you don't know what's going on who else is home um my friend and her boyfriend are here right now no no no ma' no bro get off me get off me what is going on I need to walk away and you guys are custody what are you waiting for put in custody put me in custody stand please stop please stop stop resisting you just came out and you just I want to walk away please stop moving no I'm literally having a panic attack please let me go just relax we got to figure out what's going on no I don't handcuff on me but you like to figure out what's going on stop help me they're yourself arrested okay calm down just put it over over just to calm down okay upon entering the home they were first met by a young girl who had witnessed the incident and provided initial information as officers proceeded they encountered the female suspect who began attempting to flee the scene officers quickly moved to detain her but she resisted yelling and screaming as they tried to gain control despite her resistance officers managed to restrain her and bring her outside where they seated her on the stairs to begin questioning we'll get the fire department I was trying to walk away what are you doing to these dudes bro nothing why are you being so crazy I'm sorry let me let me I'll bring her out here you want me lock it lock it no don't worry about that right now stay stay right right when you came in did you I walked in yelling and then you guys knocked on the door I don't know what what was happening or anything like that what it was about or anything all right she's got my girlfriend has some anger problems and I was trying to leave cuz I have my car my keys and I was trying to go for a little drive to calm down and she was like not letting me leave huh it was me and her because I was trying to leave and I was like I need to take a break from this I need to go out like I need to go drive like I'm I'm upset cuz I've had a lot of stuff going on in my life and she was like no no no no you're going to leave and never come back and I was and I was upset and I was saying yeah I'm going to leave and never come back but obviously come back I just needed to go and calm down you know what I me I'm sorry she aning thing so um I'm so sorry about this like I really am you have to be sorry and you live here right yeah right now I'm staying cuz I am homeless and my friend's helping me out what's the address here let me check those I'm don't be making any stupid movements all right that was really dumb like that before while one officer remained with the suspect to ask preliminary questions another officer spoke with the young witness Gathering details about what she had seen the girl's account helped officers better understand the Dynamics of the incident after speaking with the witness the officers approached the male victim identified as the boyfriend of the suspect like never in my life I'm not usually like good so uh you're her boyfriend yes sir so okay so what's your first name Cameron c a m r e n anything obvious goad nobody's dead no so basically it's all a verbal argument um I've been going through a lot of family drama um and me and my girlfriend just kind of got into it and I told her I was like car basically I just kind of lost my corn I was like I need to go for a drive I need to go calm down because that's what helps me calm down was like going for a drive obviously M and I was trying to leave and she was just standing in front of the door like no no no you can't leave so obviously I'm like nervous pacing around the house and she's screaming sh I'm like bro well if you keep screaming like this obviously someone's going to call you guys and I was like I'm just trying to resolve an issue before an issue happen like you know what I mean like I was trying to help you guys not even have to come out cuz I know you guys trying to get out so exactly so I was trying to go out there and just calm down let her calm down here and come back in about an hour go do some door Dash whatever make like 30 come back and whatever but unfortunately that's not what happened she wouldn't let me leave and you know that happened and I don't know what happened while I was in the bathroom cuz I had to go pee for a minute and I'm I just heard her screaming saying Help Me Something I I don't know what happened but okay that's now as far as what went on today with the verbal yelling was there any threats made anyone put hands on anybody no okay all right um what were you guys aring it was just like honestly she didn't want me to leave she was scared that I was going and not come back but I have a key to the place so obviously I'm coming back what are we doing the rest of the day I'm sorry what are you going to do for the rest of the day oh for the rest of the day I was honestly after this I was still going to go for a drive and just myself so is that your intention so yes sir give me R who who this is your apartment they stay here with you I have them staying here for a couple days till they figure out what they're doing all right we be right there are you hurt or anything no I'm just angry inside now I don't think I can pull this out so here I'm trying to help you s right there you go I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do hold on these are stuck right now because there're I called one it's stuck right here we get a call that there's some fighting or something going on we come here and we talk to everyone and find out if there's we can we just got in a stupid fight and I wouldn't let him walk away cuz I didn't want him to leave and I didn't want stop stop talking I didn't want him to leave so I like kind of locked the door and then that's when you guys got here and then she walked in and everything happened like really fast she's just going to do do a quick pat down on you make sure you don't have any weapons or anything yeah go ahead this cuff I can't really fix but that's it escalated anymore she going to jail are you guys she's going to jail what you she resist you guys good all right do you need anything else I just need to know what is she being charged with obstruction obstruction okay um and when will I be able to bail her out like how does that work cuz I know I was arrested recently so I just want to know how the process works to bail her um after Christina was placed in the patrol car the officers took some time to speak with her and get her side of the story they wanted to understand why she acted the way she did especially why she seemed to push through the officers and act in a way that appeared confrontational she explained that she hadn't expected them to be on the other side of the door as she'll get booked in and then she'll be able to get a B Bond Mount at that point and then she'll call you she'll have a call all right okay all right [Music] yeah you want to get on the grass um yeah thank you yeah by the way again I really apologize I really I'm not usually like that I don't know what came over me we don't know also you just walked out we were going to talk and then you just I know it's just when I like for whatever reason when I see like I don't wrong like I like I'm and now I regret like trying to walk away cuz I was just panicking walking away when somebody well my mom's always told me you need to walk away if you're panicking like that cuz you're going to flow up so I was trying to walk down the stairs so the cops would follow me but that's not what happened yeah we don't normally we don't and I don't think like I was panicking so I didn't say anything for I didn't say like can I just go downstairs or anything I just started walking CU when you start yeah when you talk to us we we we'll work with you like I know you guys will I mean I like my mom and I used to get into stupid little fights and she was to call cops on me I'm 21 okay you look young yeah I'm going to put this in a little bag okay I'll ask him in a minute any uh arrest if this you're saying this is the first arrest you've ever had right yeah I know I've never had anything with the police well then I would I mean this is a very minor charge it's just we we normally we don't have people walking away or running that's the same thing as you tell you know we're in the middle of an investigation you're we're saying I completely yeah they they were talking to you saying hey hold on we got to talk to you figure out what happened and you took off running I'm going to be stucked there overnight or I'm going to get out I highly doubt it if this is the first time I highly highly highly doubt it okay most likely you're going to be there they're going to say hey don't do that again now you may have a court dat they may let you go it's called R which let you go on your own because this is the first time it's a minor offense so likely not 100% I cannot guarantee anything but likely that's probably what what was why were you pushing through us what was going on there well basically I didn't honestly if you want me to be completely honest I didn't expect you guys to be on the other side of the door me and my boyfriend were arguing I opened the door to walk away and you guys were there so I just walked away like I went to go like run like run away cuz that's what I was doing originally before you guys were even at the door cuz I was walking away from him pissed me off and I was [ __ ] done so I walked away and you guys came out and I remember something my mom always told me if you like walk away from the people that piss you off I was trying to get away from my boyfriend I wasn't trying to get away from y'all but then the way it was like I didn't say anything beforehand I just started walking away so you guys kind of just like I think you guys assumed that I was trying to like be malicious or run or something according to her she and her boyfriend had been arguing and she had decided to leave to cool off recalling her mom's advice to walk away when frustrated she clarified that when she opened the door and unexpectedly saw the officers she continued walking which they might have misinterpreted as an attempt to flee cuz you're in custody now and I just got to ask you about what happened I'm going re Miranda so just so you know you're aware of your rights so you were trying to just get I wanted to talk to you guys I knew you guys are I know you guys knew well I mean I've had runin because me and my mom used to like get in like verbal applications when I was younger so I've had I've talked to these police people I wasn't like afraid of you guys or anything I was just nervous like and I didn't expect you guys to be standing on the other side of the door so when I opened up the door and I saw three cops I'm like what the is going on so we had a combination of things there again your your roommate was out there we wasn't sure if you was going towards her you were very angry she just had gotten home as well so we got to think we got to assume that hey this was a domestic we were called for we heard you screaming are you going to go fight her you got to make sure that doesn't happen two the this the stairway was right there so now that's a safe thing if you one more step we could have tumbled down the stairs and then that's dangerous so when you're sitting here fighting us one we're trying to keep everything safe that's a problem three we're there to investigate and then now you're fighting us and not allowing us to even talk to you you just didn't even so I don't know this like it's like you guys came up to me and I don't know why but my mind is like I just like it was like you I I don't know how to explain it other than you guys know when you get really angry and then like something comes over you and you're just like want I'm sorry I'm sorry I mean you guys probably saw I my boyfriend was like you need to stop you are acting crazy stupid no so like I said that that's just really what happened and why you are in custody now because we had a job to do and it was just prevented with how you were acting so am I going to be like I just I don't understand cuz like I said I don't have anyone other than my boyfriend so is this going to be like a long process um you just go down like cuz I've never who was the last time you were arrested I was never arrested you've never never been arrested I have a there's a good chance you'll probably get Ro which means you probably just sign out chance but we don't do that we and they give you a call you'll be able to call whoever and then they'll be able to pick you up but pretty much it all right so if they don't do an RO I'm pretty sure it's going to be a very low Bond and I just want I like well you guys are standing right here I do want to apologize cuz it was very like I'm a double person usually and I've never really had anything like this ever happen to me before so I do apologize very I appreciate that because you know why I appreciate it CU I walk to you now to let you know that I could have charged your battery on L for you yeah which is what you eat when you push it mhm fing 5 years in again thank you and the right right she was presented before a judge and faed charges of disorderly conduct the investigation had involved careful documentation including witness testimony and statements from all parties
