My name is Detective Hayman with the Villa Park Police. You're You are under arrest. 3 2 1 They broke my car window, man. No, tell me what I'm arrested for, sir. You can't read me [ __ ] unless you tell me what I'm arrested for. For what? [ __ ] what am I arrested for? I'm going to throw the thing. On March 13th, a peaceful neighborhood turned into a crime [music] scene when a mother discovered her car had been absolutely destroyed. The plot twist? The culprit wasn't some random street thug, but her own daughter. Officers arrived to find a vehicle that looked like it had gone 10 rounds with a wrecking ball. While the mother recounted the betrayal, police began piecing together the movements of a daughter who apparently missed the memo on honor thy mother. Do you know who did it? The lady did. Do you know Hey, can you see whose car this is cuz they destroyed it? That's just one window, brother. They tried this one, too. Yeah. Here, leave that rock there, sir. Yes. The female? Yep. And she had a gray color sedan and it's a white on this side. Well, man, did you see anything? A man just came out and said HE SAW IT ALL. She broke the window and took something from the car. Okay. And probably she opened the the backside down. All right, we're going to do the thing I know you want to see your car, but I can't have you touch it yet. Cuz I did take some pictures. I got to talk to my partner, but DNA and all that might not be worth uh two questions for you. If you think it's your daughter and you know she did this I'm not for sure she did it. I just can't go with what I go and tell my grandmother and my uncle. I just paid for my uncle. She did it to my stepfather yesterday as well. So, charges? How do you want to go about that? I want to press them. Okay, good. Do you have a picture of her on your phone? I sure do. There's a video on there, too. I just need a face picture. And then do [clears throat] you have insurance on your car? I have insurance. They're not going to cover that, though. Why would they not? I have to pay a deductible anyway, so So, she took something out of the car? I don't know if she We're going to look. Just I need a picture of her. That'd be great if you could do that. So, you guys had a falling out or something? No, she brought all this to the family. Did she used to stay with you here? Uh she used to stay sometime, but then she went off on them and Where is she right now, do you think? Probably somewhere looking at us. Do you know her plate of her car, too? It's not my car. I got it. Yeah, we do. We have the plate. Nissan Versa, right? Yep, sure is. So, hang on 1 second. Let me Let me show my partner. Can we take a picture of that? Yeah, thank you. Let me Just give me 1 second. I'm going to show my partner and then we'll go show you the car, okay? Yeah, I'm going to go look at the camera cuz that'll give me a better clearer picture. All right, let's go look at your car, okay? All right, what I need It's going to be rough, miss, okay? >> What I need out of the car is your insurance and anything she took. Now, even if it was hers The mom confirmed her daughter was the demolition expert, even mentioning she had hit her stepfather's car just the day before. That girl seemed to have a serious [music] grudge against glass. Honestly, when a mother actually wants to press charges, you know the suspect must be a real piece of work. [music] It was clear this daughter was a monster who left her family's patience as shattered as that windshield. I need to know that what she took cuz if it's hers, it's not stolen property, but it gives her motive. She broke into your car because A and B isn't here. Does she have keys to the car? How do you know? Do you ever give her regular access to the car? No. So, she has no permission to use the car or be in the car? Nope. Watch out, the rock is there. I got to get a picture of that rock. She broke out this window for sure. This one she tried and this one she tried. Oh, yeah, she went through all my stuff. She took my money. She took money? Yeah. Okay, that's that's your money. How much is it? It was like $12. Yeah, let's What What How much? $12. Okay. She took my ashtray. Ashtray? Why would she take it? She's bipolar schizophrenic. She had no right to that money. She had no right to take your debit card, all of that. Is that fair to say? Fair to say, Marcus. All right, I'm going to I think once my partner's done taking pictures, he's going to turn the car back over to you. It's going to be up to you at this point. Okay. Uh and I'm going to deal with your daughter. Uh you're going to be up for a little bit? Yeah, I'm here. If I got to call you, I'll call you. If she comes here, just keep the door locked. Call police. Okay. She won't come. I don't know. Not today. Okay. She's watching the video on the department cell phone. Okay. That's your vehicle, right? Yes. Do you recognize that vehicle? Yes, that's our vehicle. Yeah, that's our She spent about 10 minutes messing it up. She got rocks from somewhere else. She put them out of her trunk, so Okay. Yeah, but that's definitely her. Exactly. Watching the security footage was like a master class in petty destruction as the daughter spent 10 whole minutes smashing things up like a monster. >> [music] >> She even brought her own rocks from home, proving she planned this little tantrum down to the last pebble. [music] She didn't just break glass, she walked off with the ashtray and 12 bucks. >> [music] >> It was a bizarre heist where the loot was basically pocket change and a place to put cigarette butts. Yep. Hi, ma'am. My name is Detective Hayman with the Villa Park Police. You're You are under arrest. Yes, you are. So, I need to either have you step out of the vehicle or I'm going to break the window and we're going to pull you out. Which one do you want to do? All right, ma'am. I'm going to give you to the count of 10 and then I'm going to break your window, okay? You are under arrest. I would I would move out of there. So, here, you have the You have the opportunity. Uh why don't we have you guys clear back here? Ma'am, what's your first name? I I can and and unfortunately I have to. So, here, I'm going to give Here, put it Put it Put it uh this way. Here's the deal, ma'am. I got it Here, is there anything that I can say Listen to me. Hey, is there anything that I can say or do that's going to get you out of the vehicle? No? No? They're following me for no reason. You are You are under arrest, okay? All right. Be advised, CPD has the vehicle stopped. She is not exiting the vehicle. I've gave her multiple commands to step out, told her she's under arrest, so I'm going to have to break the window and make entry to the vehicle. All right, ma'am. Here's the deal. I'm giving you to the count of 10 to step out of the vehicle or I'm breaking this window. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Come on. We can do this easy way or the hard way. All right, step out now. Come on, please. Do me a favor. I don't want to hurt your car. Step out. The police finally cornered her, but she acted like she was auditioning for a role in a high-stakes standoff. Watching this woman who spent 10 minutes destroying her mother's car get [music] furious at the prospect of her own window being broken was the height of hypocrisy. It's hilarious how these types are so protective of their own junk, but think it's totally fine to steal from everyone else. All right, 3 2 1 They broke my car window, man. I'm going to get out. >> Okay, perfect. You're under arrest. Turn around, place your hands behind For what? What am I under arrest for? You're under arrest for a multitude of things. What is multitude of things? You'll be explained that. Hey, can y'all record this, please? Well, it's all being recorded. What did I do? What did I do? No, I don't. Listen. Listen. Turn around and lean up against the car for me, okay? What I'm arrested for? You got to tell me. Here's the deal. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. That word multitude damn near factory reset her brain. She looked like she had no idea what it meant, probably thinking it was a new type of sandwich. She [music] was acting like she was the victim of some grand conspiracy while being the poster child for a fungal infection in human form. And I want a public defender. I'm not from out here. I I I want I WANT OUT THERE NO [ __ ] VILLA PARK, [ __ ] MAN, LOOK. If a [ __ ] take my car, hey, can one of y'all Stop moving your hands. All right, here's the deal. Hey, can y'all send a sergeant? All right. Close the door for me, please. Watch yourself. She suddenly claimed she was pregnant to avoid the backseat, using the baby on board card like a get out of jail free pass. She kept ranting, trying to deflect from the fact that she was caught red-handed. The excuses [music] kept flowing like a broken faucet, but the police weren't buying a single word of her desperate, [music] loudmouth performance. I live I live in my car, man. That's bogus. They busted my car window, man. They They didn't chase me from out here. They said they chased me from Villa Park. No, they didn't. And they told us hold on hold on and tell them yeah, I caught her right here. They didn't catch me right here. They didn't catch me right here. They didn't even They didn't catch me out of nowhere. In the end, all the screaming didn't save her from the cold reality of a jail cell. >> [music] >> She went from wrecking her mom's ride to crying about her own broken window in record time. It's a sad day when your own flesh and blood treats your property like a playground for their issues. >> [music] >> She played a stupid game and won a very shiny set of handcuffs, proving that karma doesn't care about your excuses when you're caught on camera. She was officially hit with criminal damage to property [music] for her rock-throwing session and burglary for the items she swiped. On top of that, she faced charges for obstructing justice, resisting arrest, and driving with a suspended license and no insurance. Police also found she had helped herself to a bank card and used it to withdraw $132 in cash. It was a multitude of crimes indeed, proving that she was much [music] better at breaking things than following simple instructions.
