QUIT STOP. GET OUT OF THE CAR. DON'T TOUCH ME. STOP REACHING INTO THE CAR. DON'T TOUCH ME. DON'T TOUCH ME. STOP REACHING INTO THE CAR. JUST COME OUT. LIKE COME ON. WHAT IS THE REASON YOU APPROACH ME, BRO? I'M TRYING TO LEAVE YOUR GIRL ALONE IF SHE WOULD JUST GET OUT OF THE CAR. BECAUSE YOU WILL ASK FOR DRIVER'S AND REGISTRATION. WHAT IS YOUR REASON? Stopping for gas usually involves a snack and a fill-up. But for this couple, it was a one-way ticket to a full-blown roadside circus. On May 8th, 2023, [music] what should have been a simple pit stop, things went south faster than a getaway car with no brakes. Instead of handing over a license, >> [music] >> our stars of the show decided that screaming, "Why are you approaching me?" was a valid legal defense. Between [music] the resisting, the kicking, and the complete lack of basic logic, this duo managed to turn a routine check into a high-stakes drama right in front of their own kid. This is my girl. Okay, relax. IS THIS IS WHY YOU APPROACHING ME? STOP. STOP. STOP. WHY ARE YOU YELLING? Why are you yelling? Yeah, nobody's yelling at you. Okay, but why are you approaching Driver's license, registration, and proof of I'm not playing Yankee 37. I'm not done until you tell What? Okay, and am I leaving in the car moving? I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S IN THE CAR. DO NOT TOUCH ME. GET OUT OF THE CAR. I DON'T GIVE A DAMN. IT WAS HONESTLY a clown show from the jump. She acted like a simple request for a license was a personal declaration of war. It's always so confusing to these people when a cop asks for ID during a stop. Instead of staying cool, she kept diving back into her car like she was searching for a magic wand to make the police disappear. Don't touch me. Step out of the car OR NONE OF THIS IS GOING TO MATTER. NO, OKAY, AND NONE OF THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN IF YOU DIDN'T APPROACH ME, would it? Just stop. GET OUT OF THE CAR. LIKE COME ON. WHAT IS THE REASON YOU APPROACH ME, BRO? I'M TRYING TO LEAVE YOUR GIRL ALONE IF SHE WOULD JUST GET OUT OF THE BECAUSE YOU WILL ASK FOR DRIVER'S AND REGISTRATION. WHAT IS YOUR REASON? Like come on. You are being sexy. No. Touch me. Turn around. GET OUT OF THE CAR. I'M GOING TO TELL YOU OKAY, TURN AROUND AND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. YOU ARE UNDER ARREST. >> THE HELL I'm not. You are under arrest. Put your hands behind your back. Do it. Don't touch me. You can't do what you trying to do. No, I'm going to do it. If you you're making this difficult, put your hands behind your back. Come over here, please. No. Stand up. >> No, but you can talk to me. No, turn around and put your HANDS TOUCH ME. YOU HAVE NO REASON TO APPROACH ME. STOP. BABY. STOP. CAN I CAN I GET A PUT IT in the ground. Nobody wants TO DO THIS. NOBODY WANTS TO DO THIS. PLEASE STOP. PLEASE STOP. OKAY, I CAN'T tell you enough. Okay, you didn't have NO REASON TO APPROACH ME. And my arm is broken. LISTEN. I'M DYING. ROLL ON YOUR SIDE. ROLL ON YOUR SIDE. YOU SEE YOU SEE THIS? THE SITUATION DEVOLVED INTO A complete clown show as she started kicking and screaming like a toddler in a candy aisle. She kept yelling, "Don't touch me." while actively fighting the officer's attempts to secure her. It's like some people wake up and look for reasons to get arrested that day. It makes absolutely no sense. She even claimed her arm was broken mid-struggle, which is the classic "I'm losing this fight" defensive move used by every suspect ever. You can't touch me. Can I leave IN MY CAR? AGAIN, CAN YOU GET OFF OF ME? Can you get OFF OF ME? I'M ALREADY IN MY CAR. GET OFF OF ME. OKAY, get off of me. Get off of me. Why are you searching? You said I'm making sure you don't I'm already in my car. Stop pulling away from me, bro. I'm not PULLING AWAY FROM BEING HERE. GET OUT OF MY CAR. OKAY, BUT HOLD ON CAMERA. REALLY? My car would be safe if y'all wouldn't have approached me. Like what the Thank you for recording. I'm telling y'all y'all didn't have NO REASON TO APPROACH ME. No reason. Yeah, and she kicked me repeatedly, too. Okay. I'll get the hell off of you if you She's not speaking right now, so I'll see you later. Get off of me. All right, you can come out of handcuffs, but in the meantime she is getting arrested. We need someone to take care of the child at this point. You can go to jail and we can call child services, or you can take the child and relax for a second. Boss man, I'm not doing anything. Am I not standing right here? You know what I'm saying? Let me explain it to you. That's all, okay? What you mean my default? I'm not arrested, am I? Okay then, what you mean my default? Why are you making this difficult? Has she been searched? Hello. What is there to You shut your idiot. You approached me for no reason. Touching me. HEY. HEY. I did not commit a crime. I'm going to jail for what? You want to go to jail? Can I go to jail for what? Go to jail for what? >> I'm done. All right, then you got to go to jail today. FOR WHAT? PUT HIM IN THE BACK of your car for now until you can figure out who he is. The officer finally got the woman settled, but then he had to deal with the guy who was busy recording and complaining. This behavior is outrageous, especially in front of a child who had a front row seat to this madness. The police were actually being decent, offering him a choice, but he stood there acting tough. But the threat of CPS usually clears up the tough guy act real quick. I'm not pulling away. Stop pulling away. You won't be walking with me. Before you go in the car, I'm going to search your person now. Spread your feet, please. Spread your feet, please. He's got stuff all in here. Stop moving, man. >> Stop pulling away. Again. Give me a bag. Boss man. Can I get the kid, please? Can I call somebody to come get the >> asking for favors? That's what we just asking for your ID. That was a simple request. He just told me Look, hold on. Stop pulling away. >> I'm not Let's look at the car right You can you can sit in the car. You searching My car is crazy. Okay, get my bro. The kid is in the car. I cannot do it. We're trying to ID you. First of all Boss man, what he just told me he just told me you trying to ID to get the kid. >> I'm trying to ID you. You're not listening to me. Listen to me. Where's your ID? Boss man, you tell him you got to ID me to get arrested. No, I'm not. I'm saying I'm trying to identify you. Where's your identification? Or I'm going to go to jail. I'm saying I'm asking for identification. >> But you say are you asking for identification or I'm going to jail? >> I'm asking for identification. Do you have some on you? >> you say or I'm going to jail. I'm not getting in a debate. Do you have ID with you? >> Can I ask a question? I can't Can I can I We just need your ID. Communicate with me. Okay, if I can't ask If I give If I don't give you ID, I'm going to jail? Absolutely at this point. But we need your ID. I answered your question. Now we need your ID. Why won't you just give us your ID, man? You got a warrant or something, man? I don't even have no Okay, well, simple then. You want to go John Doe? Is that what it is? >> And I have a kid in the car, Well, we can't address that till we figure out who you are. So, either you're going to give us your ID or you're not. I just walked up and seen I have no ID. We'll fingerprint you down there. Don't worry about it. Um I'm putting a seat belt on. Oh, seat belt? Okay. Can I go get my ID? My kid I need to But we asked you 15 times already. The kid is in the car. You weren't worried about the kid when you was acting up. You wasn't worried about the kid but now you worried. The kid is in the car. We going to find out. You had a lot of >> This guy was the definition of a distraction from ignorance. He kept arguing about why he needed to show ID. It's a classic move. That's how you know they have warrants or no ID at all. He really thought he could negotiate his way out of a standard identification process while his girl sat in the back. This couple is the type that would crash into someone's house and blame the owner for the accident. The officers were officially losing patience. Look. His ID is in the car? He said it is. We can go Is that his vehicle? It's his car. Where's your ID? You're not getting out of this car without getting an ID. Can I Just hold. Well, I'm going to have to search for it. You don't tell me where it's at, I'm going to have to search. So, tell me where it's at so I can go directly there. If we can identify you, I feel confident that I can take you out of handcuffs and you're not under arrest today. What's that? Then you can take custody of the child in the vehicle. Let me Let me get Let me get my ID out of the car. What's your name? It's not the way What's your name? Johnsley. Johnsley. Are you okay if this gentleman that you were with takes custody of your child? Yes, she says yes. Thank you. Thank you. Before we Before we take you to jail, I am taking you to the hospital. You You said you wanted medical attention, okay? I am. I am. Just letting you know what's happening. No, we're going to take you to Coral Springs Medical or Broward Health General. He was worried about his kid, but not worried enough to stop acting up and just present a plastic card. All he had to do was show ID and take the child so he could leave. But no, he had to escalate it. He was probably hiding a suspended license or some weed because nobody fights this hard over a name unless they're hiding something. He's not going to be able to see you there, you know that, right? Well, you can tell him right in front of you. It doesn't It wouldn't matter if you Hang on for a second. I I Whether he knows where you are or not, he's still not going to be able to come see you. He So, it doesn't matter if I took you to Palm Beach County, which I'm not, but I'm just saying, he's not going to be able to see you wherever we go. Not long. I just moved down here. Okay, I get that, but let me let me tell you something. When you say I just moved here, to me that could mean a day, to someone else it could mean a year, to somebody else it could mean a month, to somebody else it could mean 3 months. You get what I'm saying? I'm asking you specific questions. When did you move here? It's a close-ended question, right? So, the response would be 1 month ago, 2 months ago, 3 months ago. I just came back here like a couple I said it's not even 2 weeks since I've been Okay, perfect. Then that makes a lot Then it would make Listen, hear me out. Listen. Then it makes a lot of sense that you wouldn't know your address if you've only been here 2 weeks. You get me? But if you're like, "I've been here a year and I don't know my address," I'd be like, "Well, that doesn't really make sense." You understand where I'm coming from? It's more Okay. All right, so we have you identified. I'm going to have you exit the vehicle. I'm going to take the seatbelt off. I'm going to take you out of handcuffs. I don't I don't have the phone numbers. Is this from you? No, that's from a different call, so Johnsley, do you have a phone number? At the moment? Yes. Do you need Do y'all need all this information? We're releasing a child to you, so yes. Officer, all of that is on video, so Let me explain something to you both. You're in a public place, I have every right to look at the the car. I wasn't even interested. I couldn't see in the car. The only reason I even took it to I didn't take the car, I couldn't see if there was anybody in it. That's why I was concerned. You hyped all that up for no reason. You hyped all that up. You hyped all that How did I hype anything up? I wasn't I wasn't Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. What? I'm not under arrest, right? I can't talk. Here's the property. I'm not going to be able Can I not talk? We're leaving. We're leaving. We're leaving. Can I have a badge? Y'all I know y'all usually have cards. Can I have your cards? Haslowski, 542. Okay? finally admitted he just moved to the area 2 weeks ago, which apparently is the universal excuse for not knowing your own address or how laws work. The officer tried to be smooth and explain why specific answers matter, but the guy just wanted to keep the hype going. Both of them are nuts, honestly. They actually thought they were right and the cops were wrong. A delusion that usually doesn't survive the ride to the station. I don't have my cards, so I apologize. My ID number is next to it. All she had to do was give me her driver's license and registration. That's it. Officer, you did not make it that simple. Yes, I did. You hyped everything up. Okay. You hyped everything up for no reason. We'll agree to disagree. I will file a complaint. You You hyped everything up for no reason. And I'm being calm. I'm telling my girl to be calm. Y'all got me in handcuffs and y'all telling me, "Hey, stop. Hey, stop. Hey, I'm not doing it. I'm trying to I'm trying to get a case number for you. I'm not speaking. That's my fault. Hang on. You want me to tell him to tell him? You're sitting right here, right? You're watching, right? I I don't know. Sir. You just told me that you're going to Sir. Sir. You She wanted you to know I'm taking her to the hospital for medical clearance, okay? Coral Springs, okay? That's what She wanted me to make sure I told you, so I am. From me to 92. Yeah, 51 of Coral Springs Med with Mike 22, 10-15, female copy starting. The only thing I heard you saying out there was let go of me. All that out You know that was wrong. I told I even said, even if you wasn't there, I TOLD YOU WHAT HAPPENED. But No, you going to listen to what the No one has told me what happened, and I can't I'm not going to second-guess. I wasn't there. Y'all. All y'all want to do is arrest. It's a race on me, so it's a race. That's all y'all know, AND THAT'S ALL Y'ALL DOING TO DO. I don't want to listen to Inside the patrol car, the woman was still chirping away, mad because the officer finally decided to stop responding to her nonsense. All she had to do was give a license and registration, but she chose the hard way. It's ridiculous how they think the world revolves around their feelings while they're sitting in the back of a cruiser. For real. And you know that's wrong. That's why you don't want to say nothing now. I'm not saying anything cuz you told me you didn't want to hear it. So, I'm I'm stopping. You didn't stop nothing cuz why am I still in the car? Uh I stopped talking. No reason. He didn't have no reason to approach me. I'm at a gas station getting gas. For real. Now you don't want to say nothing. Cuz you told me not to. You didn't want to hear it. Now you went You went completely quiet. Yeah, mhm. I feel like there's no winning with you anyway, so How is he going to get through somebody? But y'all just did all this for nothing. You really think somebody going to want to talk to you now y'all doing all this Y'all not going to really listen to nobody. This whole ordeal was a master class in how to ruin your own day. These two truly believe they are the ones being wronged, but the body cam doesn't lie. They took a situation involving a child and turned it into a violent, loud, and expensive mess all because they couldn't handle being told what to do. She was hit with battery, resisting with violence, and unsafely operating a motor vehicle. After all that drama and acting like a gladiator, the court ended her performance with a $344 fine. It was a lot of screaming for a very expensive receipt. What do you think about this gas station showdown? Was the $344 fine enough, or did she get off way too easy for kicking a cop?
