smell [Music] it on February 13th 2024 a police officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly on the road without exceeding the speed limit the officer decided to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop upon stopping the vehicle the officer began the investigation by asking the female driver for her license and identification hello how's your day going today not good we just put my dog down okay where you going where you heading right now um my daughter is at deos okay does she have a doctor appointment or what yeah she did she's an next okay what happened with her um she has um she tore her lb BR in her with what she tore her lay br her hip oh no those are no fun I've had one of those myself the woman provided her driver's license but the officer noticed that it was expired this prompted the officer to continue questioning her to gather more information and understand the situation better the officer further asked the female where she was coming from so the reason why I stopped you today Megan is you're you're barred you can't be driving what do you mean your driver's license status is barred what yeah I just got it what do you mean I'm B through the state of Iowa you can't be driving a motor vehicle throughout throughout the entire State what is that you I'll grab that for you do do you have an ID with you like I just got it it looks like that was issued back in November yeah which is just a couple months ago okay did you have you have you gotten pulled over or anything like that or any mail from the DMV no no I in fact I have a letter at home that says that I need to carry it with me at all times okay do you have the form 4319 what is that the form that the state has told you that you have to have with you while you're driving yeah do you have that with you no not not okay but I have yeah I have my insurance okay to avoid potential charges the woman lied claiming she was on her way to pick up her daughter she believed that by providing this excuse she might elicit sympathy or avoid further scrutiny from the officer do you have that insurance with you why would I do bar I don't understand where it's in C up over there yeah okay what were we doing down over here my son is at his dad and get to tell him that we put our dog down today okay so I was just over there and you said your daughter's in here yeah who she was herself she beat oh okay are you just supposed to be picking her up then or yeah yeah it's always a rough time those suck they're hard to say goodbye to they're best friends for ever many years and then it always sucks put them down does it say why I'm B I can look it up but I'm going to guess it's going to be uh something with a violation of your driving status I'm secure I'll take a second on emerging so just go and hang tight put in your first last name all that information for me real quick and we'll see what's going on with us have we gotten pulled over since uh you had that issued to you in November no have you had any other convictions or traffic stops or violations of getting your SR22 filed in time mm- okay no I did have a um at the time period that I was losing my license yeah I had to get my pick up my daughter and I did get um the driving while suspended okay but that was like at the same that was like before I got the like before I got my license okay well let's click it let's click that in there and see yeah can we give her a call what's your daughter's name the officer forcefully removed the female from her vehicle and conducted a search despite her repeated claims of not being involved in any criminal activity the officer proceeded with examining the vehicle thoroughly and can you just put on speaker so I talk with her real quick huh yeah can you put it on speaker for me so I can yeah it's you can go hang up go and stop on out for me I'm really lenient this kind of stuff but when people lie to me we're done so we're going to be going to jail tonight for driving while bar so go and step out for me yeah I know so um do you have anything illegal on your person no no firearms no marijuana no drugs nothing like that okay if you're completely fine with her moving your vehicle to a legal parking spot we can do that if she's willing to get in here sometimes if cars are messy we don't necessarily want to move it but if you're fine with that yeah okay does she have to blow into it when you said that I was bar I'm just confused and I didn't okay I want to get in TR I'm so confused you told me you you told me you were coming here to see your daughter before I even told you that stuff I was just nervous 20 were security you can issue me a case so did we know we were bed no I didn't I honestly don't I didn't I do not understand that so why did we tell me that we were coming here to see your daughter cuz I just I just got scared okay so where were you coming from earlier today though my daughter's dad's house or my son's dad's house what's his name we just we just told my son that the officer discovered several illegal drugs inside the woman's purse none of which were related to any valid prescription the presence of these drugs heightened concerns about Public Safety where does he live at on um what do you know his address um I can look at my phone yeah if you could for [Applause] me was there no contact order in place between the two of you no there's not no are you sure about that yes okay well let's just hold off on calling him real quick do you know his address oh does he share location at all if you scroll down can you see location now okay we don't have a no contact order what's his last name how old is he 48 okay what's his phone number and uh did you have any like did you get arrested for a domestic or anything like that that happened with him one of my the boyfriend that I had one of the boyfriends that you had he's the defendant though no he's a protected no I'm you're protected Miranda okay no okay just go and hang tight up here with her for a second I'll be back in a second okay all right Megan so since you're sitting here talking to two cops I'm going to read you your Miranda Rights okay so you have the rights remain silent anything you say can will be used against you in the court of law you the right time attorney and have your attorney present while you're being asked questions if you cannot for an attorney w't be appointed to represent you before any question if you wish you decide anytime to exercise these rights not make any statements or standard questions you understand those rights yes okay is this going to be THC oh it might have trace of it yet is it like THC oil or what it's like a CBD Blend or something okay where'd you get this from um my ex-husband gave it to me where did he get it from like Colorado no who's your ex-husband okay well I'm going to tell you this too is is he has a no contact order with you it just hasn't been served what so I would be cognizant of that cuz it's in our system that's just not served so if I run somebody runs into him I run him they're going to serve him as no contact order where he can't be contacting you at all that he where did this come from I can look at what couny it's through again but I would to them if you're wanting it dropped so when I test this is it going to come back as THC yeah it'll have some in it I'm sure blend it's it's a blend right but is it like is it a a hemp CBD pen or is it going to be this okay I don't know what the percentage is okay honestly I don't all right so just go ahead and turn around put your hands behind your back here nothing else on your person at all [ __ ] the car windows are up it's locked so it'll just remain here if you want to let somebody know that that's where your car's at just since that no contact H hasn't been served but it doesn't mean that against like who did it like I I don't and I'll tell you what county it's through but I'm guessing it's from some type of domestic relationship uh assault yeah it's not like while being arrested the woman began to resist crying and screaming at the officer pleading to be released despite her attempts to avoid arrest the officer managed to subdue her secure her in the patrol vehicle and transport her to the police station for further investigation okay do we take medications for anxiety or anything how often do you get these from your ex-husband actually the first time first time well ripped off oh girl that's THC all day smell [Music] it h what am I testing you'll be able yeah I will be she said I'll be able to test it just want to hold the it that's illegal as well later the woman appeared in court where she faced several charges disorderly conduct for her disruptive behavior possession of illegal drugs for the drugs found in her purse
