On May 31st, 2025, a [music] domestic call turned into a forensic mystery after a woman claimed her girlfriend went full Hulk mode on her while she was just trying to pack her bags. It wasn't just a breakup, it was a wig-snatching, bone-breaking disaster that left one person in a cast and the other in the back of a patrol car. Grab your popcorn because [music] this relationship didn't just end, it imploded. >> You're going with me. >> So, her car is gone, then? It's not here? >> Uh, I think that's her car right there, that black one. >> Oh, that black one you saw? Why is all this doo-doo out here? >> Uh, I don't know. Somebody let their dog poop out there in the yard. We talked to neighbors and everything, but they're not sure who. You don't even have any space in the first scrambling area. That's disgusting. Well, it didn't just happen. She not letting me turn it over. Yeah, she not letting me turn it over while we were >> Oh, she's on it? >> No, that's a >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> She's holding the what? You need to open the door. There you go. She's allowed to come in and get her stuff. Yeah. Tell me what happened earlier. >> She can she can stay out here. >> Well, she can come in with the dog. You're good, dog. Go ahead. You're good. Tell me what happened earlier. >> Oh, what you mean? What What's earlier like? What time? >> Today. >> Oh. So, they came here. Well, they had somebody in and she seen that I had somebody in here and she got mad and she fought me all the way. She drove me all of or out of the door. >> She dragged you here? >> Mhm. It >> How did that happen? >> What do you mean? >> Like how did she drag you? >> Oh, by my hair. She dragged me by my hair. My wig is off. It's in the bathroom. So, I had a wig on. She dragged me by my hair and dragged me all the way outside. And we was fighting out there and she she stopped because she said I broke her arm. Her arm broke or whatever. So, I came back in here. She called her mom. She told her mom to come and her mom pulled up with her and like three other people and when I let them in, they all jumped on me. >> They all jumped on you? All of them did? >> Mhm. >> Where do you got any marks on you anywhere? >> The suspect tried to sell a story about being dragged by her hair until her wig hit the floor, [music] but her acting was worse than a low-budget soap opera. She claimed her arm was broken in the struggle, yet she was moving it just fine while spinning her tail. [music] Her story started shifting the moment she realized the officers were actually paying attention to the details. >> Oh, no. >> Soraya. >> I [clears throat] know. >> No, I'm sitting right here. Sitting right here. >> I don't know who who jumped on you. Did I not >> Let me get your stuff. >> Yeah. >> Let me see your >> I I can't hold hold on. I'm getting agitated. >> Hold on. Now, let me just take a picture of your face first. Look that way. All right. Now, look that way. >> Look that way. >> What's your name? >> Soraya. >> All right, Soraya. All right. Now, show me that injury in your mouth that you showed me. >> [snorts] >> All right. What about your arms? Show me your arms. >> Hold on. That's my arm. >> Nothing we can get pictures of. >> My arm. Okay. >> Other side. Flip your hands over. Let me just get your legs. Can I get the back side of your leg, please? All right. You're saying that that you guys got in an argument. And she she jumped on you and dragged you out of the house. And you had that mark inside your mouth before anything else. And then and then when she came here she other people came in and they all jumped on you. >> Yeah, she called she called when she called her mom and they all got out of the car and they were standing at the door where they were banging on the door and I didn't let them in at first. Then I opened the door when I opened the door. But why did you let them in? >> I don't I got it. >> Okay. >> Thank you. When they all when they all came in and and they jumped on you, what what were they doing? >> What do you mean what were they >> You said they jumped on you. So, how how how did they do that? That's what I'm asking. >> Oh, like she was she was standing at the door and she pushed the door open. She's not here right now, though. She's not with him right now. But when she did she stood right here and she put the door open. >> Did she start hitting you in the face? How many times? >> The police took photos of her face, neck, and arms to find all those brutal marks she mentioned. >> [music] >> Funnily enough, the only injury she could produce was a tiny cut inside her lip, which definitely didn't match her claim of being jumped by a mob. The lack of bruises was a loud wake-up call for her narrative. >> So, there's one person hitting you in the face? >> Yeah, I think >> Okay. Closed fist or open fist? >> I wasn't there. >> I'm just asking. So, so here's what we're going to do. All right, I'm going to call Mark here in a minute and just see what Mark's statements and stuff are. >> Mhm. >> Um we're going to go ahead and place you under arrest for felony battery. And she's got a fracture on her elbow. >> I'm going to walk her this way. Will you have them come lock the door? >> You've ever been arrested before? >> Mhm. My first time. >> All right. Why did you post all of her credit card stuff and her IDs and stuff online? That picture you guys in bed, though. You're all right. And she posted what? Where she post that at? All right. She told me that? Let's see in there. Be careful. Listen, don't call nobody on your phone. Just hold on to it. >> She was here alone. She said when she had guests that they were knocking on the door trying to get in. They did guests came out and Amari but barged in. When Amari came in, she jumped on my daughter. And that's how my daughter who had a a wig on her head last night when she came to my house and now it's off her head. She said Amari then dragged her out of the house and then whatever happened outside happened outside. My daughter goes back in and that's when Maya and I even spoke to Amari's mother this morning and she admitted that they all came back in and the girl jumped on my child. And that's how Sarai ended up with a busted lip. Sarai said she told them to get out and she tried to she did try to get them out and Amari's arm got caught in the door when they were leaving out. So, it's not like she took her and slammed My daughter is too weak to slam down a girl that's twice her size. >> As she was being led to the car, her parents arrived and immediately started enabling her behavior. They acted like she was a frail little angel who couldn't hurt a fly. It was a prime example of why kids grow up to be nightmares [music] because their parents were right there supporting the nonsense. The officers didn't need to explain a thing to these [music] two, but they stood there anyway. >> She um her mother even told me her arm got caught in the door and that's how her arm got that way. Not from a slam on the ground. >> Yeah. So. >> So, it's just unfortunate that she didn't have anyone here to defend her and everybody's going to get what she said. And she's going and she's going to jail for with a felony battery charge. >> Well, there like there's like there's two incidents. So when I when I talked with her, she didn't mention a different girl during the first incident. She mentioned her and >> Which which is the girl that got her arm broken. >> Right, with the dreads. >> That's what I'm talking about. >> incident though. That's not the first one. >> No, that was the first incident. >> Her arm got hurt on the second incident when Soraya tried to get her arm out of the >> Her arm got hurt on the first one. I got my story straight. You guys have a different story. My investigation is very clear. It's all on body camera and I know that but you guys weren't here either. You're you're going back to word of mouth as well. Now, I am investigating the second incident that occurred. I still have a phone call to make to somebody she said she was on FaceTime live with and so I'll call her and talk with her about the second incident and if charges can be developed from that second incident, I will do so. >> Well, what I'm saying is with our with our conversation right here, you just told us that she got her arm hurt in the first incident and she >> Mhm. Okay. Well, that's what you say. That's what you say. >> That's what you say. That's what your daughter told you. >> right. >> Your daughter told him something different. The other person told him something different. >> But mom wasn't here either during the first part. >> Okay, from the mother of the other girl's daughter also. But what he's saying is your daughter when we asked her about it didn't mention anything about another girl even being there. >> The only person >> when I was on FaceTime and she was talking with you. >> She was talking to me about Amari. >> She said Maya. >> No, she said Maya and Amari. >> mixed up. >> I promise you I was on FaceTime when you came in and I think she said they said she had to get off the phone. She said Maya and I think the name >> It's Amari and it's >> Amari, Amari. >> different names. >> And when she was on FaceTime with you if you go back and watch your body cam video, she she say that name. What do we have clear? >> They truly enabled the nonsense and made excuses for their grown daughter. The officers didn't need to explain a thing to them, but they got a front row seat to the reason this girl acts the way she does. Even anybody could tell she is exactly like she is because of how her parents are enabling this mess and supporting her behavior. >> What What do we have clear? We have a girl with a broken elbow >> But how did >> consistent consistent and her story is consistent with getting that that injury. And we have your daughter with she is saying that I was dragged through the house. I they were dragging me through the house and they were beating me up. They punched me several times. And the only injury she has is a a cut on the inside of her lip. If I was punched several times in the face there would be >> They didn't say that. >> marks on it. There would be If I was being dragged If you would put If I dragged If I dragged you down the stairs and outside, you would have marks on your arms. You would have things consistent with this. There is none of that. All there is is a a cut on the inside of her lip. >> I'm trying to get into somebody's apartment and I'm putting my arm in and they close the door. Can I get They can still charge me assault for me trying to break into that when they just got done with jumping on me? >> For >> If If I just got jumped on and I'm trying to close my door and you're the person is reaching their arm in the door and it gets slammed. I get charged with assault? >> That is what he's looking for. >> But that's what I'm saying is assault. >> Well, here's the deal. She's 19. She's 19. I've done a comprehensive investigation. >> Right. >> Whether you agree with the investigation or not, on the on on this stage we develop probable cause. A reasonable doubt is proven in court. Right? So, you guys have You can get an attorney. You can go and prove beyond a reasonable doubt in court. On the stage where we're at right now, I've clearly I've clearly established probable cause for the arrest or I would not have arrested her for battery. The reason why it's a felony is because there's a broken >> They don't know. They can't find them. >> The only people that I know that were involved from both people is the same the same person initially. >> No. >> So, and I'm going based upon um a comprehensive investigation. So, that as far as I'm concerned, that's that's that's the end of our discussion. She's 19. She was a juvenile. We discussed more. That's the end of our discussion. My advice to you is to contact an attorney in reference to your daughter. She's going to be held It's a It's domestic related. She's going to be held overnight and she'll see a judge in the morning. >> The officer shut down the parents' theories by pointing out the simple science. If you're dragged downstairs, you have marks on your skin. The suspect had none, while the victim was sitting with a shattered elbow. It was frustrating to watch the mother try to hush the situation [music] when she wasn't even there to see the fight. >> Okay. So, There's still an investigation ongoing. The investigation is still ongoing. The The investigation is still ongoing. So, I'm still doing I'm still working here. We I stopped to talk to you. There's a better. We're We're finished. But, uh But, you guys like I said, I would I would hire an attorney. I said I'm not done with my investigation. I can't I can't drive to where they're at and go arrest them if I develop probable cause. I mean, come on. At this point in time, there was no cause to hold them. So, it's Okay. I understand your emotions in reference to your daughter. But, but I'm not So, she the aggressor, she got jumped. >> We've got We've got multiple incidents happened and and I'm investigating everything. I'm investigating everything. >> The detective shut down the family reunion by reminding them that their 19-year-old child was actually a legal adult facing grown-up consequences. He didn't have time for their what if theories [music] or their claims about who barged into whose house first. The parents were still trying to argue, but the handcuffs were already locked and loaded. >> So, how how do how do how does all this going to play out because I heard her say that we forced ourselves in there. >> Everyone's got their story, right? Um so, she's arrested right now. >> Okay. >> So, she's going to go to jail for felony battery. Um obviously, she's got her story. We document everything that they say. There is from I wasn't there for the initial investigation, but I would say there is It's water? Okay. Um there's evidence to support There's already evidence to support you guys inside of the prominent Yeah, the prominent aggressor. So, like that's what That's what we're going off of, right? >> So, you guys know they said that if they if um I guess if somebody come back, I don't know how they were in a rush and it was raining. They said that they did hear all the commotion and they saw my daughter um last night, you know, her her yelling, telling her to open the door before she called the police and everything, but they said they didn't see that actual attack. >> I understand. >> So, yeah. I mean, we we could just um >> So, basically, what the from here, so everything she says I everyone's You're entitled to your story, whether it's that's her truth, whatever it is. So, but there was evidence to support what you got you and your daughter are saying with physical evidence to corroborate it. She's going to jail right now. >> As the dust settled, >> [music] >> it was clear that no amount of parental deflection could hide the reality of the situation. >> [music] >> The suspect really needed to start acting like the adult she is, rather than relying on a support system that rewards bad behavior. Justice doesn't care about your missing wig. It only cares about the bones you break. After the chaotic domestic [music] dispute, the girl was charged with harassment and felony battery. Despite her parents' best efforts to deflect and make excuses, [music] the legal system focused on the facts, rather than the family's fiction. She was held overnight to reflect on her choices [music] before seeing a judge the next morning. Do you think the parents should be held accountable for enabling this kind of behavior? Or is 19 old enough to know better? Drop your thoughts below and subscribe [music] for more street smart recaps.
