On May 30th, 2025, deputies responded to a call from a mother who reported that an 81-year-old woman sprayed her and her two daughters with bear mace. Let's find out what happened. They [laughter] They They keep cell phone thing. I don't know what they talk on the little kids' hand. They come over to the fence and they tell them to say stuff. Mhm. Okay. And then they hold the cell phone up like this here. >> Through what? >> I don't know. Okay. Trying something. And then she, that woman, she keeps saying she's going to take care of me. >> What's exactly What's she saying exactly? Huh? What'd she say exactly? I can't hear her. Okay. I can only see her the motions and what have you, okay? But they sit on that back porch over there and they'll come out and they'll paste something down that fence saying stuff. I ignore them and they just back and forth, back and forth. They'll go in one door, out the back door, paste something down, in the front door, out the back door, paste something down. And that one guy over there, I don't know There's a whole bunch of them. There's supposed to be four people, a man, a woman, and two children. Mhm. There's 10 people living there. But then he takes, pastes something down the fence line, and makes all kinds of horrible noises, whistles, you know. Mhm. I have no peace here. Okay. Have you tried Have you tried calling us? >> Huh? Like what What Where Where did you spray it from? >> From like right outside of my door. I didn't spray to hit them. I just want to let them know I have some protection. So, you didn't like go up to the gate and start spraying like at them and the kids or anything like that? >> big shot of spray in the air. I have a taser and I will use every weapon I can get my hands on. >> So, I just overheard while I was walking over here they were saying something about videos. I overheard while I was walking over here they were saying something about someone has video camera. >> I got lights and cameras put up. Okay. Do you have footage of what happened today? >> It won't be available today. I got two big rolls of films coming that I've taken pictures of. Cuz at least when you call us, we at least know about it so that when we come out here for something else, we we kind of know the situation cuz this is the first time I've been out here that I know of. >> was She called them a moment before. And that woman, she's did the same thing, tell me to kiss her ass. They bend over, stick it up, and put their finger right there and look at me. You can tell what they're saying. Mhm. They'll get in those windows facing my house. You Nobody else can see them. So So >> Facing my house. And they'll get in those windows. They'll send those kids out to the fence. And you can hear them telling them cuz the kids keeps looking back at the at the window, you know. So So So, there's nothing against the law for doing that until you report it to us that it's happening over and over and over and over and over again. I reported it a long time ago last year. Cuz then it can come under harassment, okay? But until you're reporting this to us, there's nothing cuz it's not That's not That's not That >> a card with your home >> That's That's not illegal. Now, them doing this the same stuff over and over and over again, that possibly could become something that we can look into. But them just doing it and then you calling us, I'll say people that's the freedom of speech, you know? They can say whatever they want. >> here, okay? Because then it can become harassment. >> It is harassment. And she's sitting there with her camera and I And she has camera so she she I don't know if she watches, but she she can pull that camera footage probably back up. She walked to that gate and sprayed bear bear mace or whatever at me and my And it's like if you walk probably that way you can still smell it cuz it got in my like into my chest or whatever, but then she walked back and sat down and she every day is like, "Oh, you you out of my neighborhood." And where Like this is like we have footage of her of that, but that's like but Okay. I wish I would have had her just now. She literally walked to that gate right here. >> How far were y'all standing? >> We were right here. I sprayed I had my baby throw the little thing down. So, we were standing right here. Right here? Yeah, cuz she has her thing. And she was at the fence. She wasn't yelling at y'all first? >> Oh, no. She was yelling at first just saying y'all stupid n- But that's I don't care about that. Okay. Yeah. But that bear mace or whatever that was, you just literally came to your gate and sprayed. Right. >> Um And then my daughter just let me know Freeze, come here. She said the other day when she was out here playing I wasn't here. I had a graduation yesterday and I was getting my stuff done. Yeah. So, I didn't know that this is her second time. My daughter said she did it to her while she was out playing in the pool and told her she wish she drown. And I didn't know that about that until I just called the police. >> She sprayed them, too? Yes. But I didn't know anything about that time cuz I wasn't here and she just told me she sprayed it and I told her I didn't And that was when, you said? Thursday. >> So, yesterday, yeah. Okay. But it's really just And then they would tell me she'll make like when they walk past she'll make like gun sounds like I don't know who you are get the breath. You found it? Okay. Did they feel the effects of it? Okay. Cuz this lady saying she sprayed it from her back porch. Like she opened up her back door from her back porch and she sprayed it. They said she walked two things while they were playing bubbles they sprayed it on and they felt the effect. I don't smell anything, but she said that RP still has stuff in her lungs. Lungs, yeah. This place had a camera, so I was going to go check on to see if maybe it somehow got in there. There's video after which I mean she admitted to it, so but I'm sitting in the her porch with what looks to be the mace. They I mean she she admits to it. She just said she didn't hit him with it. She said she sprayed it from her back porch. Did she say why? Because they're harassing. How were they harassing them? They sit there and they call her names and they run up and down the fence line and scream at her and stuff like that. And they say it's been going on and on and on and on and on. And she said, well I didn't hit them I sprayed it from my back porch. They felt the effects. I'm going to talk to that girl if you can just talk to the girl with the pink shirt real quick. Ask her what happened. The pink shirt. No one's got a pink shirt. He said pink shirt, right? Oh, I he said talk to someone with a pink shirt on. I walked I walked over here. I'm like Okay. The other I wasn't here and she said, Mom I was out here and she sprayed it her. I didn't know nothing about that cuz I would have called you guys then. But she's like, no that's not her first time Mom. She did it to me the other day when I was out here by myself playing in the pool and she said, I hope I drown. I didn't know she I didn't know she She needed She really needed Yeah. Okay, little girl in the pink shirt. Okay. Yeah. I'm like, you want to talk to Hello. My name's Deputy Christiansen. What's your name? What is it? Okay. So what happened? Well first off, when when did this happen? And my sister was me outside in the pool and then Is that in the backyard? No, right here. The pool was right here in the front. Oh, okay it was right here. Okay. And I was in there. Mhm. She only had And then she did come she I went right there because she tried to spray us. I I I And and I asked And she also said something about She didn't have a computer and in order for her to get that footage it takes time to like process or something. She has to get like the film. I guess it's like an old DVD recorder or something. I'm not sure. I'm not 100%. She says she takes pictures all day. She got a a camera. Like she literally all this is actually She have any mental issues you aware of? Listen, I think so cuz when I the lady here had told me she was like, well just try to ignore her because I she called the people I guess she put a gun on those people and so I was kind of concerned and they said I never met any family members, but they was like somebody shot her house and it was the grandson. And I would but it was before I moved here. So they just was letting me know that like I ignore her. But she does it and I'll say but she literally came to that fence with that pepper spray. The reclassification was based on evidence that the battery was committed with prejudice related to the race of the victims and the defendant.
