on August 13th 2022 in Florida an officer pulled over a vehicle for running a red light marking the beginning of an event that unfolded with numerous details good morning officer Anton cap Pro police the reason why I'm pulling you over you ran the red light Santa Barbara and gleon I know I was it turned yellow and I was going to stop but I didn't want to hit on the brakes okay can I see your driver's license registration and insurance where's my ID card um where's your driver's license I just moved huh where's your driver driver's license I don't have I don't have an actual license upon stopping the vehicle the officer approached the driver female to start the investigation the first step involved requesting her driver's license a standard procedure in such situations okay so why are you driving huh why are you driving the license I have a license I don't have my actual license I left it at the bar okay so you're driving without your license but you have a license you have a license and an ID card right okay what bar did you leave your ID at Indigo room Indigo room all right do you have your insurance is it your car or is it your it's my that's my it's husband's car okay do you have Geico or does he have Geico yeah okay do you have any weapons in the car no no all right just hang tight don't get out of the car give me a couple of minutes all right the woman admitted to the officer that she did not possess a valid license for work at the bar instead she presented a different license which upon inspection by the officer turned out to be expired this detail was significant as driving with an expired license is a violation of traffic laws she's going to jail what she's going to jail so we got to find someone for her kid to jail you're going to jail Randy your license has been suspended you haven't had a license since 2016 don't even play that game with me we're not playing games get out come listen listen you didn't fix it listen listen what can listen we don't we don't want to do this in front of your kids and that's why we're try we're trying to be very respectful my wife is on the way okay I'm going to ask you to step out okay just come here come outside and talk to me so we don't have to do this right here after examining the expired license the officer turned to another officer present at the scene and inquired about the next steps specifically whether the woman would be taken into custody the officers then approached the driver once more instructing her to exit the vehicle and step onto the road we're not we're not slapping cuffs on you in front of your kids we just want you to come out just so we can talk to your R gets here that's literally it okay mom's just going to stand right here she's not going anywhere it's violate my calm step out here why are you lying that your license was fixed I promise you I went okay where's your documentation that says your license is fixed I'm I'm on probation I was just at probation they where's your documentation that says your license is fixed I fixed my LIC it's been suspended since 2016 ma'am I promise when did you go I got arrested in 20 20 I think so when I look in the computer it's not going to tell me that you have I don't know how many suspensions I can I can look certainly they're toll it was toll violations I had to reopen all the cases with judge when did you fix it I want to know the date 2020 I got out of jail the the day I got out of jail I went down there so where is your license if I call Indigo room they're going to have your license there I left my I left my driver's license at Indigo I swear to you complying with the officer's directive the woman exited the car allowing the investigation to proceed further in a controlled environment as the officers began questioning her on the road the female driver appeared uncooperative she provided minimal details about the incident and engaged in arguments with the officers repeatedly asking them to let her go a month ago so for a month you didn't think to go back to Indigo room to get your license no I did go back there I went back there like 2:00 in the day and no one was there I did so you left it there for a month and today is the day that you think that you think you have a license and that it's been at the Indigo room for a month ma'am I promised you I don't believe you I I promise you I have no reason to lie about it you have a lot of reasons to lie you literally just said you're going to violate your probation no no no I'm I'm saying me going to jail is going to violate my probation certainly will because you are going to go to jail because you're lying I swear I swear to you I am not lying to you despite her insistence the officers remain focused on Gathering the necessary information ensuring that their investigation adhered to protocol the off officers then decided to escalate the matter by taking the woman into custody so why would the system just make it up that you're suspended still since 2016 I don't know I got out of jail please like please like contact whoever you have to contact I got out of jail last year because I went to jail for lights for Lea that's what I went to jail for I don't know what that is it was a huge thing at a high-profile case okay I got out of jail I went right down to the CNB I left the jail and went right to the clerk of courts because I had to re all of the cases for the toll violations mhm okay I but can you just stand over here with her I swear to you it's okay it's okay it's okay they're telling me my life has been suspens since 2016 like I said we're trying to figure it out and I was explaining to your wife we're looking at other systems that we have to check all that stuff all even go as far as calling your probation officer you know what I mean to find out what what it is that's going on yeah they informed her of the decision and placed her inside the patrol vehicle even while inside the vehicle the female continued to withhold critical details about the incident realizing that the investigation could not progress effectively at the roadside the officers resolved to transport the woman to the station please but for now let's just get the kids out of here that way they don't have to they're obviously goally upset so he's right here she doesn't have that I can see she's suspended times 126 you check okay yeah I that's insane I went I swear I got out of jail in 2020 yeah and I went right to the CLC Court's office I swear I believe you I I my probation papers like everything says my license is valid like it doesn't say I can't drive nothing like I said we we're we're we're trying to access other systems to make sure that our computer system the results it's giving us is true and correct as of this time but like I said 99.9% of the time the information we have at hand is typically correct there once at the station the female driver was formally charged with several offenses these charges included driving while license suspended and driving with an expired license for more than 6 months you can take it with you no you're not call making any calls turn around put your hands on your back did you tell my officer that you had a license that you left it at I did whatever Club yes in the go room yes yes I don't I don't I'm sorry but I don't know how that's even possible I know you get this every day not every day I have someone suspended times 126 so but but who who who committed those toll violations it wasn't I hold on who committed them it wasn't me it was an officer in tties right I had a roommate okay then it's my fault it's my fault okay face the car for me bring your right leg out towards me do you have anything on you that's going to hurt poke stick me guns and eyes Bazookas anything crazy no each charge reflected a distinct violation of traffic laws emphasizing the seriousness of the incident the legal process that followed aimed to hold the individual accountable for her actions while ensuring adherence to Due Process can you do me a favor on on this windshield wiper of my car can you just grab me a little black hair
