Inside, Katrina Jackson was out cold, not napping, with her three-year-old grandson chilling like this was just another Tuesday. Her eyes rolled back like a horror movie prop, and her denials were flimsier than a dollar store umbrella. The kid's calm vibe hinted this wasn't his first rodeo with her chaos. >> You just told me not to wake you up, >> bro. Give me my grandbaby. THAT'S YOUR GRANDBABY? >> YEAH. >> MHM. Where's the mom? She at work. >> She's at work. So, you were the one taking care of the baby today? >> Yes. Wait. What you want? >> Listen, the car was on. Music was on. >> So, right here. IT'S >> NOT GOING TO BE SIMPLE. >> Katrina snapped awake, tossing out, I wasn't asleep, like she was pulling a Jedi mind trick on the cops. Her story about the baby's mom being at work didn't add up, and her attitude was trashier than a landfill. Officers kept cool, but her waving hands and slurred excuses were screaming trouble. This wasn't just a bad day. It was a disaster in motion. >> Oh, ain't a stick. >> Get off of me. >> GET off me. Get the off me. >> Do not do that. Don't pull away from me. DON'T PUSH. DON'T RESIST on me >> or you're going to go to jail >> off me. >> So, you need to chill. >> Get the off me. >> Face the car. You're not going to face me. >> All right. DO IT. DO IT. >> Face the car. Well, we're >> Where they at? Get the up off of me. >> That's not going to happen right now. >> Back the up off you. >> Back off me. Okay, let's stop wiggling. >> GET OFF. >> THINGS WENT south fast as Katrina's get off me mantra echoed like a broken record. Her defiance was louder than her car's stereo, but officers weren't buying her act. With the kids safe, they wrestled her drama into cuffs. Katrina's excuses were crumbling faster than her composure, and the karma was inevitable. Back off me, bro. Back off me. Get the off me. I don't give a where I'm going. Get off me. You got to burn me. Get off me. Get the off me. My arm. Get off me, you stupid. It's like white crystals. Kind of over the meat. >> I will get off me. Get off me. Get off me. Okay. Go sit. Get the All right. Don't touch me. You going to grab me, bro. All right. You You feel like a a a Debbie. You mean going to KICK YOU? I KICK YOU. AGAIN. I don't know if it's going to I don't think this is going to hit. >> Oh, no. We got mom's phone number. We call her. >> We got mom said if he looked her up in Logan, he has contact. >> Uh Tori, where you at? >> I'm right here. Um by uh >> Can we get KJ? >> You You can hang out, but we want to release to mom because I'll tell you. Hey, Mom. This is Officer Berner with the Sarasota Police Department. So, we're here on 17th Street and we were doing an offender check, a sex offender check, and whoever this is to you, she was passed out in her car with your kid on her lap. So, she's she's like going to take her to jail. >> Yes, she is extremely intoxicated and we're probably going to end up charging her with child neglect as well. So, >> Oh, no. Uh, that's my mom. Um, I'm going to come here now. >> Okay. All right. Yeah, we would appreciate that. >> Okay. >> See you on the way. >> All right. Thank you. >> May close. I don't know if you did or not, but we just poked them off. >> We just poked them off. >> So, what appears to be trace amounts of marijuana shake in >> Katrina kept up her get off me symphony, flailing like she was auditioning for a low-budget action flick. Officers found white powder and empty liquor bottles, painting a grim picture. The kid, unfazed, deserved better than this hot mess of a guardian. Leaving a child with someone this reckless, that's a choice nobody in their right mind would make. the driver's door opening. Some of it's partially burned and what appears to be the same embedded in the floorboard as well as an empty bottle of Don Julio mini bottle center console. Got a Gatorade bottle. Oh, we have another open white powder like substance. Oh, what the hell is it? What the heck? >> Yeah, dude. It got everywhere. I mean, do we have a multi that we can throw on it? >> Yeah, we have one more. >> What's that? >> I don't know, man. >> It can't be dope. Wish I had the I don't have the wipes when car >> the what? >> The wipes. They're like, "Oh, they're like, >> no, I was uh right next to a uh mini bottle on the floor." >> Yes. When I came across the car on the driveway, >> you didn't get you get >> not yet. I just got the kid to them and just briefly filled them in. >> Lenny, what do you need? >> She had we >> I don't think there's going to be anything in the back, but >> very if you don't I'm going to go THROUGH THEM. >> I CAN'T >> START MOVING YOUR FEET. HEY, YOU'RE ABUSING ME. >> As officers dug up marijuana shake and more liquor bottles, Katrina's screams hit peak absurdity. At the end, she was cuffed and hauled off to face what she deserved. Things could have been different if she'd chosen sobriety over chaos. Lesson of the day, don't trust a child to someone who's a bigger mess than a landfill. Katrina Jackson faced charges of DUI, child neglect, and resisting an officer without violence. She pled no contest, earning 36 months probation, DUI and parenting classes, 50 hours of community service, and $2,12 in fines. She spent 6 months in jail, released in May 2025, with adjudication withheld on the neglect charge. In the end, if you enjoyed the video, hit that like button and drop your thoughts in the comments.
