on January 18th 2024 chaos unfolded when an officer arrived to find a woman shaken and upset she pointed toward the house saying her boyfriend locked her out trapping all her belongings inside she told him to open the bathroom door but instead of listening he snapped he threw something at her and she retaliated that's when he attacked the officer urged her to breathe and assured her that help was on the way when asked if she knew the suspect she confirmed he was supposed to be her boyfriend but things were clearly changed all right take a seat okay take a seat he has all my [ __ ] ins the house he I just told she he left man' just relax for a second we have the fire department coming in okay that was him leaving yes do you know who that is yes he's supposed to be my boyfriend but apparently he ain't all right try to explain you have to explain what happened okay I told him to open the bathroom door he got my he threw something at me and I threw something back back him and he hands shaking she insisted that everything she owned was inside and the suspect locked the door on purpose when asked about him she provided his name but hesitated when recalling his birth date mumbling something about August you wouldn't happen to have your license on you would you everything is in the house and he locked the door he locked the door yes on purpose who who lives who lives in she refused to go to the hospital her priority was getting back in side meanwhile officers called The Suspect ordering him to return He resisted asking how long it would take the officer warned him if they had been together for almost a year when asked how the fight started she said she didn't remember could that really be possible after such a violent encounter she refused to press charges or sign not like I mean he has anger bro what you doing on February 24th 2023 3 a heated argument escalated drawing the attention of witnesses who saw physical violence a call to 911 reported a Man attacking a woman dragging her into the grass and repeatedly hitting her as officers arrived they encountered a suspect sitting inside a vehicle the officer approached and questioned the suspect who appeared hesitant and confused when asked what was happening the suspect repeatedly claimed not to know the officer ordered the suspect to step out and place his hands behind the back leading to immediate complaints about tight handcuffs where's he [Applause] at you going roll you wi there what's going on I don't know what do you mean you don't know tell me you tell me I don't know you don't know what we doing you don't want to tell me what's going on I don't know what's going on step out of the vehicle Hands by your back Put Your Hands by your back immediately lock me up immediately Hold on Me Light Me Up them cuffs too tight of course of course are these cuffs too tight of course let me double lock them see how this [ __ ] is immediately get me locked up while being escorted to the police vehicle the suspect resisted slightly questioning the officer's actions he walk over here to the back of his charger hey man why you pushing me all the force why you pushing me man you ain't even a buck out there 15 bro what you doing I said walk to the back of the charger it's the back of the car right here right car car it don't give nut fing up you jugging them balls down dog have a seat right here for me throw your feet in a witness recounted that the suspect was threatening the victim for a while when the witness walked outside the suspect had the victim pinned against the car with hands around her neck before dragging her into the grass and beating her another person mentioned that although no one recorded reported the attack surveillance cameras captured the incident I we okay gas station um he was already he had been threaten me for a while because you know in all honesty what happened they drove I walked out he had her behind the car around her neck then he drugged her over under and he went to just the grass huh into the grass yeah and he went toing the H just wailing the hell out of her okay and that when I 911 walked out here we went to hollering at him he started ass crackers y'all come on and come on every went back and you went to whing on her again who had the video somebody said there was a video of it hey who did anybody video him hitting her no but we got cameras we got cameras yeah we got cam yeah I already know you but step over here let me get a go with him I want to the victim explained that the suspect was out of jail for a week and had anger issues they were together for a short time and were in the process of getting a place together she admitted fearing that the suspect would become more violent [Laughter] threatening me and we've had altercations in the past and I was afraid that he would maybe worse has so um we went I took I just went to the bathroom and sat and then when I came out I took told him that I needed to charge my phone um if I was going to take him to hel because basically he was like forcing me to take him na hell in and um and so then we got into a fight and uh you know basically mean he just um I mean he was very threatening I don't know what they recorded did he grab you R in the throat yes and there's like I mean just um you know you need an ambulance to come look at you are you okay I'll be okay you [Music] sure how long you live together y married or just [Music] he's only been out of jail for a week and he's um I mean he's not like I mean he has anger how long together we've been together for about I mean not long like a lot um we actually were planning on like we're in the process of getting a place right now which I guess is not going to happen now are you living together right I mean we're together yes yeah and we've been [Laughter] yeah we've been cohabit you got a ID on you you're welcome I was like trying to earlier the suspect demanded a drive to another location but she refused due to drinking he became angry forcing her to drive despite the risk at a stop she planned to escape but the suspect reacted aggressively she confirmed being grabbed by the throat but declined medical attention when questioned the suspect insisted no physical altercation occurred and blamed the red marks on the victim's body on a rash he denied laying hands on her claiming the answer any or make any statements do you understand these right [ __ ] right as I've explained them to you having these rights in mind do you wish to talk to us now Mr Harris the only reason he's reading that cuz you're in handcuffs we we have you have to do that but if you're in handcuffs we have to read you that before we question you I just read it to that okay well we read it just for I tried I tried to get somebody for it just for the hell of it we read it anyway well it's real what happened what happened man okay Vibes now you know what I'm saying killing my vibes what what's the problem so y'all was just doing like a little week weekend getaway or something we plan on mooving to South Carolina okay but you know you know how it is you don't want that low VI Energy [ __ ] people give you low VI yeah yeah no I feel you man I feel you however officers noted multiple Witnesses saw the attack and the victim had visible injuries the suspect described their argument as stemming from frustrations about priorities officers determined that the crime fell under Family Violence laws the victim visibly emotional did not initially Express a desire to press charges but the severity of the situation mandated legal action surveillance footage was reviewed and officers confirmed the attack uh I got she I came in the end of that conversation with the witness said that uh he came out and he had he had her pinned up against the back of the car both hands run her throat choking her out then her into the grass over here and just started whing on her she's got huge bruise on her like rig red marks all over her she got red marks on her neck um she she said yeah and she said that he did grab her by the throat so I guess when they all came out and told him to stop he started approaching all of them talking about beating them all up and that took his his attention off her for a minute and then when they were like hey hey hey whatever he went back and started beating on her again she we didn't get that far I asked you need EMS or anything and she said no and then started crying so I don't I'm going to ask her again what explain what we press chares you may not want it but theity of the crime is going to happen go you going stand for he must have warrants Oh I thought that was just a stat check he just ran [Laughter] they have a uh they do have it on camera okay I was I was kind of worried cuz that one's pointed that way but they got one facing right at our cars and it happen right over there okay you said there the back um can you show us your thigh your leg again [Laughter] oh I'm sorry I didn't know you had to do the Flash [Laughter] you got warrs no it's returning to somebody else I was just looking through them I don't know why they returned with it though they ain't even close to it so what she said she hadn't really said a whole lot find it hey man so what happened what what C you heading north pending at 438 bam road going to be a possible breaking call advising that his alarm going off and his light lights were cut off that he's not sure if there's someone in his house or not sure someone on it I'm good with him if you want to go now bringing some money to his grandma but forgot his wallet at the cabin well he wanted me to go to drive back to the cabin okay um this is earlier in the day right I had a few too many drinks and so I told him I didn't want and so I just pared um for a few hours and just few minutes I just sleep um but he got really angry at that because you know he wanted to get there but he doesn't know how to drive his stick and I was like I mean like do you want me to put myself in danger and someone else or like trying to be responsible about I'm trying to you know and and so then he just got angry and so he finally basically like forced me to to drive to Helen okay um and so I said to him I have to stop so I can charge my phone because I don't have like you know the GPS I needed and I knew that when I stopped here that I was going to try to get away from him because um I love him very much but um you know he um he can be very threatening like very threatening okay um and I'm sure the the drinking and stuff probably doesn't help you know oh yeah either way either way yeah absolutely I mean he's yeah he's a he's a sweetheart when you know there's no alcohol um I mean and that's usually how goes with anyone uh I mean I don't know I know that he has issues we haven't been dating that long like really since this summer like fall and it's been fairly volatile um there's not really 8:40 your cruise lights are on okay um since y'all live together it's it's considered family violance okay so that's a that's a state of Georgia thing that's not a Banks County Sheriff's Office thing necessarily okay I don't know if we did or not did you show did you show someone your you showed someone your driver's license already correct okay uh I'll just T take your stuff down okay so this ask protested insisting the situation was misunderstood he claimed he and the victim were not cohabitating but both had previously stated otherwise just throw your feet out you stay sitting in there all and she was walking away and all walking towards him but it was nothing to no physical aeration honestly nothing to that that situation appreciate so you didn't put your hands on her at all so you don't know how them red marks got there she don't got no r on from honestly we going to argument to the point that she tried to what was y'all arguing about we I know you said it was stupid [ __ ] but it was just like but you you got to you got to know though like I wasn't here so it's best to paint me a picture you know what I mean it's more secet from real it was more to extent like you know she was on some [ __ ] like her priorities wasn't right you know what I'm saying like what her priorities wasn't right her priorities wasn't right and I Wasing observing that [ __ ] like you need get your line right like what you doing you know what I'm saying so it first Tred me to a point I I kept nagging about it I kept nagging about it to the point like you know she going to leave me over here I said leave me take Grand it you got took argument you me argument but you never did put your hands on or nothing I told her from to get I said you got to start raising your voice because you causing a yeah but I be regardless she got and she said that he put I know she got upset that she say she wanted to press charges or no no but I mean it's one of the things like they're both drunk like I feel like with the witnesses and everything it's like she said they've only been living together a week yes yes she said about a week or so um it probably wouldn't heard to ask him and just get his say on that part of it I know the statute says live together or forly live together but and they're trying to move to South Carolina together yeah he mentioned that did you see have you seen any video not yet what are you charging AG Sal or uh well he did choke her did she say yes did she ever lost Consciousness or was she getting lightheaded anything like that I was really just going to go battery because I mean the the marks are there yeah you know like I would ask her if uh if she lost Consciousness or started getting light head or any of that you can go agos salt but if you want to push it I feel like it's going to get I feel like battery is probably the the best option for it that real quick if you want to holl her real quick what's her name Elizabeth I told them not to they said it was wanting a copy of your report give it about a week and you can go to our Sheriff's Office which is in between here and Banks Crawford you can pick up a copy of it if you want to okay how long do you think be there I don't know like what what is he getting charged with you got they they [ __ ] took they took video I know we were just arguing but they have videos of I am they just run the videos back I was just trying to contain her you what run the videos run their videos I promise you it was nothing like that I promise you run videos for real for real about 5 six months I promise you I did get into with with them but it wasn't no fight I was like wanted me to drive and I didn't want to and well if y'all both been drinking don't nether one of you really need to be driving I know at all and that was that's why she she parked right here he's got a he got a war no it returned his o n returned was warrant but it's somebody else you know how if you run somebody if it's similar the return out Miss Li 8:43 dispatch in rout to the jail one male really I didn't do this the charge was determined to be battery under Family Violence based on physical evidence and witness statements confirming the assault the evidence supported the claim that violence occurred within a domestic relationship leading to the specific charge witness accounts played a key role in establishing the
