On Thanksgiving night, November 27th, 2025, an officer on routine patrol is stopped at a red light when a traffic violation happens right in front of him. As he waits at the intersection, he watches a Dodge run straight through the red light without stopping. The officer immediately turns his patrol vehicle around and begins following the car, moving in to initiate a traffic stop. The charger signals and turns down a nearby street and the officer follows behind as the vehicle pulls over. As soon as the Charger comes to a stop, the dash cam captures the car rocking and moving noticeably, suggesting sudden activity inside. The officer later noted in his report that he observed the driver and passenger switch seats before he made contact with the driver moving into the back seat and the passenger moving into the driver's position. And so I think they just switched seats on me. Final northeast 11. Can you please not put that too bright in my >> person? >> Yeah, you see somebody is back there. I don't understand why you sitting up. >> Could you please not put that too far in my face? I wear glass taking him out. >> Hello ma'am. >> Officer with the Boy Beach Police Department. The reason I'm stopping him is because he ran the red light at Boulevard in C. >> So, listen, I'm going to make it extremely simple, okay? This ain't my first day. So, we have two options. >> Uh-huh. >> First and foremost, turn your vehicle off. Give me the keys now. I'm not playing this dumb [ __ ] >> Okay, nobody being rude to you, >> ma'am. Hand me the keys. >> I don't know why you being all ser like it. Ain't nobody being disrespectful or anything to you. Like I I don't understand why you being so rude. >> Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Sir, do you have any ID on you? >> No. Okay. Do you have your ID on you, man? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. >> Being alling rude for what? Ain't nobody being rude to you being flashlight. She seen us the flashing 663. >> Ma'am, while I'm with you, we're not going to reach around the car. Okay. Make it really simple. What we'll do is cuz he's in the back seat now, he has nowhere to go. So, we'll have him come out first, put him in handcuffs. >> Ma'am, unlock your passenger side door for me. >> You fa You said to do what? What you said? >> Unlock your passenger side door. So, I'm going to detain this male in the back seat that was driving the car. In about 2 seconds, I'm going to charge you with obstruction because you jumped in the driver's seat. >> We'll just do this. Ma'am, step by question. I didn't even Step out of the car. I'm just asking a question. What you being rude for? >> Sir, you stay right there and put your hands on the [ __ ] seat. Step out of the car. Step out of the car. Put your hands behind your back. >> Put my hands behind your back. You're being detained right now. Thank you. >> Oh my gosh. >> Keep your hands on the seat in front of you. >> Can you loosen up? You don't have to sit there and be so rough with me. Ain't nobody being disrespectful or anything to you. >> A female also. I got one female. >> All right. >> Copy. Let's just do this. We'll poke around and then we'll take him. >> Do you have anything on your >> No, I don't. I just got off of work. >> That's where I just came from. >> You can change it. >> Turn your phone off. >> Damn. I'm playing dumb. Just crawl out of the car and put your hands on top of the car. Crawl of the car and put your hands on top of the car. Put your hands on top of the car there. Perfect. Taco Bell. >> Guessing you have no license. >> Huh? >> I don't have ID on this. >> You have no ID? >> You have nothing? >> Do you have a valid driver's license? >> I don't have no license. >> You don't have a license at all? >> Okay. I haven't even patted him down yet. We'll take him to another car. >> She's going to go for obstruction. >> So, I'll take him. >> Pat him down. >> Mhm. >> This is a driver. He jumps on the back. So, she tries to switch real quick. I'm stupid. >> Do you have anything on any poke me? Stick me, stab me, drugs, weapons, anything. >> Spread your feet apart. >> Huh? >> You have a license? >> Uh, yeah. I have her license. If you want to go there, we got >> So, obviously he's driving. He blows a light at Boulevard and C. So, as soon as I light him up, they do like the slow roll. Switch it over. As soon as the car it hits the brakes quick, and I see him jumping in the back as she's jumping to the side and she wants to play stupid [ __ ] Simple. >> Um, actually, we'll make it simple. >> Do you have a Miranda car? We'll just ask her. If she wants to be cooperative, then she doesn't take the ride. If she wants to do be dumb and not tell the truth, then she'll take the ride. >> I think that's pretty fair. Pretty fair. >> Okay, ma'am. Listen. What's your first name? >> Don't you have my driver's license, sir? >> Bracie, I am required to warn you before you make any statements that you have the following constitutional rights. Do you understand that? >> You have the right to remain silent and not answering questions. Do you understand that agreement? >> Any statement you make must be freely and voluntarily given. Do you understand? >> Hang on. >> Yeah. >> Used against you in the court of law. Do you understand? >> Mhm. >> Knowing your rights as I have read to you, are you willing to talk to me now without an attorney? >> Without an attorney? Nope. >> Okay. Ma'am, you're under arrest for obstruction. >> I'm on. >> There you go. That was simple. >> You want us to have that down real quick? >> Oh, yeah. Sorry. >> Okay. >> You can open back up. We got to get his 14 and go there and find out what he has >> cuz he probably has 1035. >> All right. She didn't want to speak so she's got obstruction in my daughter right now. >> It's okay. What's your name? >> Benjamin. >> Benjamin. What? Huh? >> Spell it for me. >> All right. I'm going to ask you one simple question. Do you have a driver's license? >> I don't have one. Let me check my wallet. I don't have one. Okay. Not asking on your persons. >> Did Florida issue a driver's license to you? >> No. >> So, you've never had a driver's license? >> Yeah, I had one, but I don't have it. >> So, it's suspended? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Put your feet in. You're going to jail, too. >> That makes sense. So, suspended license, switches seats, she jumps in. Re Miranda to ask her if she even want to speak. She says, "Nope, I want a lawyer." So she takes a ride for obstruction. David, there's no >> You said you didn't want to speak to us without an attorney. We're not going to talk to you. Turn around so she can search you. >> Hold. I'm just >> I need to search you, ma'am. I'm doing it nicely. I need you to turn around. >> You say you didn't want to talk to us, so we're not going to talk to you. Attorney >> I did not want to talk to him. >> That man was ruled on his pulled over. >> So I can't talk to nobody else and then I can talk to you. >> Okay. All right. We got >> He has the key. >> Who has the key? >> The officer that took pulled us over. He has >> he >> I don't have nothing. I just got off work. >> All right. Right in your stance for me, please. All right. Do me a favor. Have a seat right there and talk with the officers and then we'll go back with you. She's already invoked the lawyer. You don't want they'll go into court and everything. So, please inventory it for us. >> You want to You want to help do an inventory? >> Yeah. Oh, there's three. >> I mean, I can do it all. >> I just got to put this seat down. >> Oh, that is true. No, you want to play stupid [ __ ] >> Yeah, I mean it's up to you. It's whatever you give, >> but it's I mean I agree with you, but I don't have to transport myself. I'm like, yeah, no problem. >> All right. Well, I do agree. I'll take out of my face. I'm like, now I'm watching you in I heard they're switching. I'm like, oh, here we go. I know. I was like, "Oh, we're starting early." All right. >> Hey, Pat, can you unlock your car real quick? >> Um, I understand you want to talk to me, but your charges are obstruction because you were not driving the car and he jumped in the driver's seat. You refuse to speak to me when he was driving the car. Reason he was jumped out is cuz he has a suspended license. Not a big deal, but when you start switching seats like that and then you don't want to play games, that's how it works. Okay. So, you're going to go to Palm Beach County Jail for the evening? And he's >> ma'am, I'm gonna make it really simple. When I do a traffic stop and I start have people jumping around, I don't know if we're jumping around because you have a homicide warrant if you try to hide or what. So, that's not like I'm coming here to be a nice person. Okay. So, I'm letting you know what your charge is and that's it. Okay. Car is going to be towed towing. >> You can lock it. She uh still thinks I was being rude. Now, I'm not here to be nice. You're jumping seats. I don't know. This guy's got a homicide war. I have no idea why we're jumping seats. Like, you know what I mean? I don't know what we have. What are we doing this for? >> That's not a normal person. Jump seats and start switching around. >> Jumping seats. >> Can you try to insult my intelligence? >> You understand why you're being arrested? >> No. Stay stay the car. The DWS enter the instruction for the resistance cuz you guys refused to open up the car and then you guys switch seats upon the K9 officer stopping you guys. >> I didn't refuse. She I told her >> she's she's getting charged, too. >> I told her to open the door and >> All right, you can have a seat. >> I mean, you shouldn't have switched seats is the bottom line. >> That she was driving the whole time. You probably would have got a a ticket and been on your way. >> She was driving the whole time. That's what I said. I didn't even >> You got to put her in. >> I mean, the code I can, but it's like I'll stand I'll stand by here. But I mean, while you put it while you put it, >> he wants to talk to him. said, "No, I'm just going to ask for." >> So, I'm just going to tell him what happened and that's it. >> Hey, is that dude actually your brother or no? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> What's his name? >> Okay. Blood brother or no? >> Yeah. >> By who? >> Half mom. >> Half mom. >> Yeah. >> Like your mom and his mom are the same moms? >> No, two different mom. >> So, the same dad? >> Yeah. Um, long story short, he's driving the car. Catch him running red light at Boulevard and see he's driving the car. As soon as I pull over, he jumps from the driver's seat to the back. Chick drive jumps in the driver's seat and acts like nothing's going on. Find out his license suspended and then he does that stuff. I'm like, dude, it's Thanksgiving. >> Gotcha. I would have probably given you a ticket and switch seats, but you want to do dumb stuff and act like you don't know what's going on when I'm watching the car bounce around and [ __ ] after you spin on the brakes. >> So, listen, there's parts where I'm lenient, >> but then when you're pretty much saying I'm [ __ ] stupid and I'm literally watching you do it, >> that's a different story. So, she's taking the ride and so is he trying to get in contact with with other brother now. >> Okay. >> Right. Right down this going to Palm Beach County Jail. All right. See here? >> Yeah. >> Chasing her and transport both of them. >> Okay. I'm going just take him to jail. That's fine. >> Yeah. >> So, you're So, he's getting hit with the WLS with knowledge obviously and uh resisting because of the changing seats. >> Yeah. >> And then she's getting obstruction cuz she refused to open the door. >> No, because she assisted with him acting like she has no idea what's going on. because she's obstructing my investigation because she just went from the passenger seat, jumps in the driver's seat, and then what are you talking about? I literally watched you all day. >> I literally watched you switch seats in front of me as the car is bouncing around. So, that's where her obstruction goes in. I read of Miranda, but she didn't like how my demeanor was. I don't care what you like on my demeanor. >> You have a dude jumping in the back seat. So, I don't know if it's cuz he's armed. I don't know if he's a homicide suspect. I have no idea why you're jumping in the back seat. Of course. >> I'm not Mr. Nice Guy anymore. >> Yeah, for sure. >> And they get your light out of my face. I'm not taking my light out of your face, >> right? >> That's why I was like, h 33. They're somewhat cooperative. Like Santa kind of like I don't need to keep 33, but I got them somewhat, >> right? >> So, just both of them. >> That's why I just want to like So, you guys know I'm like, >> yeah. >> Excuse me. Um, what happened to the female um officer that said she was going to talk to me? >> She didn't say she was going to talk to you. She said she's going to search you and officer will come and talk to you. Did he not did he talk to you? >> No, I know exactly what I heard, but it's fine. >> I know. I know exactly what she said. I was standing right next to her. >> All right. >> She said she was going to search you and then she'll have an officer come and talk to you. >> Problem is, we will talk to you. That's not the issue. But once you invoke your rights to a lawyer, we can't talk. >> My second time in I have been arrested. I don't know what am I supposed to be saying, sir. But that is okay. Now, I just learned my lesson. But so he read you the rights. You said you understood your rights. >> Yes. But being knowing that when I say, "Oh, no, I don't want to talk that, oh, I automatically go to jail." >> That was not That's not Hold on. That's not what was said. >> No, you said if they It was a lot of things said. So I was not told if I provoked I say if I say no to talking, then I will be going to jail. So >> when he read you the card, right? >> Uhhuh. >> And you after each thing he asked you if you understood, if there's a part you didn't understand, he was giving you the option to say no, I don't understand that. Can you explain what you said you understood to each part? >> Yeah, but that didn't. So what? Which one of those that meant that if I say that no, I don't want to speak that I'll go to jail. That's not what the card was. You read you your Miranda rights. Of course, if I vote saying that I don't want to talk automatically say that I go to jail. >> No, ma'am. You're not going to jail cuz I didn't based off what happened earlier. You're not going to jail because you didn't want to speak. You're going to jail based off what happened during the traffic stop. >> So why he didn't I don't I don't know this myself. I never I don't know what's going on. when we read Miranda rights to you. >> I know that we're right. But you're not going to jail for me jumping in I mean in the driver's seat. So that's what I'm going to jail for cuz I jumped in the driver's seat. So that's making it plain clear. Okay. >> So it's not because you didn't want to talk to us when you're at your right. That's not why. It's cuz what happened at the traffic stop. >> Okay. >> Okay. You can step out. >> Perfect. Perfectly. I'm perfect. Um I understand. >> You can step out. You're going to go and hop in this car. >> Um where's my phone? my purse. >> All that's going to wallet inside. >> Yeah. With me to the county. Correct. >> Correct. >> Okay. >> Whatever you want. >> No, I'm just making sure. I don't I haven't been arrested before. >> Okay. Well, go around here. We're going to go on this side. Okay. Just be careful. >> Go ahead and stand right here and face the wall and then get the seat belt. >> My back for >> No, no, no, no. You're front. and the car in. All right, you can have a seat. Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> Appreciate it. She was under impression she's going to jail because she read her Miranda rights, but she said no. I said, "No, that's no way you're going to jail. You're going to jail because why haven't you traffic stop?" >> I just explained it to her. >> She said you didn't. >> I came back and explained to her why she's going to jail. >> I know. >> So she's like, "Just cuz I said I don't want to speak to you guys. I'm going to jail." >> I said, "No, that's not why. >> Not at all." >> So she goes, "So I'm going to jail because I hopped in driver seat." You were like, "Yeah, that's why you're going." She goes, "Oh, okay. I understand." >> And it was on camera. >> Oh, of course. >> Perfect. >> I had a hatchet. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Put that your something. >> You want a bag? >> Actually, >> I know. >> I was just explaining her her Miranda rights. >> No, I know. >> And she uttered, "So, I'm going to jail because I hop in the Dollar." >> Yes. >> She's like, "That's the only reason why." My dad actually's um No, I could do that. Or you could write that in your PC. >> Yeah. >> Her officer Gant after she was already read Miranda. Yeah. >> She asked if she was going to jail because of this and then that. >> Yeah. >> And then that way you can if they take it to court. >> You got I'm just going to take a picture of this. >> It's still up on my thing. >> Yeah. I have too. >> Both occupants were taken [music] into custody and transported for processing. Officers said the woman was being arrested for obstruction. The man was booked for resisting arrest and knowingly driving with a suspended license. The report states she was later released with a notice to appear while he was transported to the county jail.
