on May 4th 2022 officers responded to a reported hit-and-run crash that had occurred on a roadway transmission is great what's that transmission is gone okay did some damage huh that's from a two individuals a man and his sister who were attempting to flee the scene of the crash both individuals began arguing with the officers demanding an explanation as to why they were being questioned and why the situation seemed to involve a detailed investigation huh what I was driving you're driving M I know I know she was driving driv I was driving brother I was driving all right I'm drunk give me a DUI give me a ticket I know she was driving so we're going to go through the process that way okay well there's going to be cameras I got witnesses so that's why P why do you got a Pon at me driving it all I have the keys yeah I see that I yeah so why you got I was driving I told her to get up well people just told me she was driving so they have no reason to LY okay they're lying huh there's [ __ ] like 10 other people here despite the officer's explanation the situation quickly escalated as the man continued to argue the officer proceeded to arrest the maale driver placing him in the patrol vehicle with the male suspect now in custody the officers turned their attention to a female who had been present at the scene and was also potentially involved can I turn around no I got double light why what WR why why H up turn on get the car I'm just asking why in the car keep com in your squad he's not searched yet what's going on there all right I have her step out no no huh why you want to go to jail why would I go to jail cuz you're going to impede my uh investigation that's obstruction so when I ask you to do something you do it so why you already to be like so rude about it I'm just saying that's what's going to happen if you're going I was I was driving so you got two options here what do you want to do I can take you to jail or you can step on my way so I can talk to obstruction obstruction yes you don't step out of the way that's what you go to jail for okay is that okay so you're going to jail you're going to jail got it you're not here go turn around stop I not I'm not playing games either I gave you how many warnings okay after further investigation and based on the circumstances officers arrested this woman for obstruction of justice as she had been interfering with the process of the investigation after both the male and the woman were placed in separate Patrol Vehicles the officers turned their attention to the driver's sister who had also been present at the scene and had been involved in the disturbance there's lessons to be learned lessons to be don't hold me like that with the I'm not resisting stop holding me like that the squad okay stop holding me like please stop please stop you got to walk then I will walk but don't turn please don't hold me like that turn around okay don't ever turn around just said don't hold me like that which only added to the tensions already present at the scene in order to address the disturbance caused by the sister the officers first spoke with the second party the caller who had initially reported the incident she was for sure the one driving in the pink um you said was the one that was in the just pulled out she was the one okay they switched when I got out that's where both car so they hit two cars there there's two males that are also missing I don't know okay where they were there two guys that flood sounds good as far as we know and I don't know if we need to shine over here we didn't think so we were all inside and we heard a loud noise and I wonder if it's when they hit this vehicle my car was like right here at the time okay and they squeezed through cuz they were here M they squeezed through my car in the building yes they miss they just barely as far as I can see they missed the building and they ended up driving up around the corner yep to right right along in here I mean that's a can from their vehicle okay it's not ours the only vehicle that we know is that they hit was this gentleman's vehicle oh so just one vehicle yeah just okay Y and it was a full side swipe is that your car come here I'll show you okay um I'll just I'm the bartender inside me I'll be around I had heard move my car over here because they were scrambling to get it out of there yeah and I was like I do not want any more d okay so she moved my car over here and I took a picture of the license PL CU I didn't know if they take off so it's this one pretty much just this the caller confirmed the details of the disturbance and offered additional information that explained why the situation had become chaotic the officers reassured the caller and promised that they would conduct a thorough and fair investigation ensuring that the matter would be resolved appropriately they they really didn't do a whole lot of damage well yeah but they still did damage okay what's your clear to her that they were not arresting her for driving Under the Influence DUI but instead because of her obstruction of justice and interference with the investigation however she continued to resist and argue prompting the officers to take further action we gave you the that's my little brother I understand that that's my little brother first off why not B is right there look at B is right offensive using abusive language and offensive words toward the officers in an effort to deescalate the tension and maintain order the officers decided to remove her from the immediate scene this was done in order to conduct a more focused investigation and to allow the officers to handle the situation without further disruptions it was at this point that the officer suspected that the woman was brought in for booking and further questioning their cases were then prepared for court proceedings where each individual would face charges related to their actions during the incident after the investigation all three individuals were presented in court the mail driver faced charges of reckless driving and violation of traffic rules stemming from his involvement in the hit and run run and his disruptive behavior toward officers the driver's sister was charged with resisting an officer due to her continued argumentative actions and resistance to the arresting officers if you enjoyed
