this driver thought it was just another ordinary day on the road hauling Goods across state lines blending in with the countless other trucks on the highway but when he saw the flashing lights in his rearview mirror he had no idea that this traffic stop would lead to a jaw-dropping discovery so you driving for a friend yeah my friend huh yes sir turn around right now here's behind your back I got leading to the discovery of a 2 million stash of cocaine Indiana State Police were conducting standard commercial vehicle inspections on a highway when they pulled over a truck for a minor traffic violation the driver appeared Cooperative at first handing over his registration and explaining that he was driving the truck for a friend go your truck friend truck okay got get outst that left lane there got C got CD I don't want to drop you got registration sir yes sir so you driving for a friend yeah my friend the owner owner ofk you in here no no it's the the song team driver let me see hello how you doing how you doing you guys some team drivers no we need huh the the new driver license uh Department you're not driving yet no why are you here then why are you in the truck okay as the conversation progressed the officers asked about the truck's log book a required document for commercial drivers the driver fumbled with his response revealing that he did not have a proper log book on hand this further Peak the officer's curiosity and they decided to inspect the trailer more thoroughly huh whose trailer is that yeah for me your trailer okay your friend's truck or your trailer okay you don't have a truck yeah my thr is broken oh what motor is broken what happened motor yeah what kind of motor you got yeah this the TR oh let me see your B lighting for the freight yeah what's in the trailer today sir what's inside the trailer uh freezer huh freeer freezer Starbuck going Starbuck okay to uh where' you guys pick it up from the driver became increasingly nervous but it was too late Indiana State Police were about to uncover a significant stash upon opening the trailer officers were greeted with an overwhelming smell of marijuana although the trailer was supposed to contain only Frozen Goods hey man anything illegal inside the truck okay huh okay let go back here and hang out with few the suspicion that something was a Miss was quickly confirmed when officers CED two large boxes carefully hidden and tied with ropes located in the trucks cargo area inside these boxes officers found 20 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2 million it does smell like weed in here mhm that one side there but we can bring those out you want to grab one I'll grab the other where the other box at okay cool tied to a rope for is it tied through it yeah so they pull that out somewhere see right there they sh that in the have to look real real quick uh a lot of times you'll see these in the axle uh not axle compartment but the sidewalk compartment and there I'll show you where they gain access to it so they just Stu all in there and leave the Rope where they pull back up mhm 4 5 6 so 20 kilos all right the moment of Discovery was tense the officers immediately placed the driver and his passenger under arrest securing the scene while calling for backup during the arrest the driver confused and agitated asked why he was being handcuffed the officers calmly explained that they had found drugs in the truck but the driver continued to deny any knowledge of the cocaine while waiting for additional officers to arrive the suspects were read their Miranda rights the driver through a translator was asked whether he wanted to cooperate with the investigation but he remained silent clearly aware that the situation had spiraled out of control
