it's the rush hour we have to remember that you can't literally Rush all it means is that there's a rush of traffic going to their destination because usually people are going to their 9-to-5s so you have your license does she have her license on her registration insurance I don't have though you don't have a license okay why not does she ever does she live here in Florida she here for how long she's been here for 15 20 years 15 and 20 or 20 years around there and she's never got her Florida license well she's not from okay does she live in Fort Lauderdale M regist okay that's good do you guys have the insurance insurance has she ever been given a driver license anywhere in America I'm waiting for my her job permit how for 20 years this no because she's in the process of applying for residency but she's been here for 20 years 15 20 years right they haven't accepted her process application has been 10 years oh okay has she ever gotten a ticket before for no driver's license tiet may last year she was St PRI and they gave her a ticket for it I'm not sure if they gave her a chck no license just for the infraction because she did make a traffic area Okay um what's the address again that she's living at give me one second I got it Mother's driving son's in the passenger seat mom doesn't speak very good English so the son's been translating she's been here for about 15 to 20 years and she has no Florida driver license she's never been issuing a driver license before um she said she's been pulled over in the past and she's been given a citation but she didn't remember what the citation was for so if that's the case Florida should have given her a driver license number and all that means is she didn't get her driver's license but if she got a criminal citation in the past they'll assign her a driver license or a state issued ID number so more so it's like a ID uh we're going to check and see her history if she has any there's a possibility of her having a warrant but we have to find find out first T 31 1029 so we just checked NCC fcic that's maintained by the FBI fcic is the Florida run system so that's maintained by the state of Florida she's not wanted she has no warrants anything like that so I also checked David which is Florida's state run system and what that stands for is the driver and vehicle information database uh remember how I said she might be issued a state ID number number or like you know a driver license number but she doesn't really have a driver license issue to her so not to confuse you again if you don't have a driver license but you've been given a citation before the state will issue that ID number so she has an ID number because back in 2024 it looks like she was pulled over by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for conducting an improper change of Lane now from what I'm seeing through the Broward County Clerk of Courts she was only given that one citation so I guess the off her during that time used as her discretion to not give her the criminal citation and just to write her the uh improper change of Lane but because she was given a ticket they gave her that state ID number and she never took care of that citation and now her her ID card or her ID her state issued ID number that's actually suspended so right now we have no driver license we have the speeding violation um Technically she's driving on a suspended license but I'm just going to write her the no driver license violation so she'll have a criminal court date it's a mandatory criminal court date and she's going to get the speeding one as well we also ran her tag because her license is suspended one of the one of the suspensions it showing as a ciz tag order which means that whatever car she owns that they put a seiz tag order out the State of Florida wants her license plate back so they want a law enforcement officer to seize the license plate probably because it doesn't have insurance and they want us to tow the car with this car she's not the registered owner this car is properly registered and it's properly insured so the C's tag order doesn't apply to this vehicle I can't take this car's license plate because she's not the registered owner for this car so um she's going to have to call for someone to come get her car cuz she's not going to be able to drive it and technically this is her first offense so I'm not going to uh make a physical arrest this is just going to be what we call a notice to appear where you write the ticket out you have the court date she has to sign in print and if she doesn't go to the court date or she doesn't take care of that they'll then issue a warrant out for her arrest can she call for someone to come get the truck because she can't drive and she needs okay she's working on that all right give me one second she's going to have to go in front of a judge and they're going to have to explain to her what the penalties could be now in Florida there was an enhancement uh passed with the law if you are a uh habitual unlicensed driver and it's consistently you're always getting stopped you're always getting ticketed prosecutors now have the ability to put you in jail for a minimum of 10 days and people are starting to enforce that and people are starting to realize that if I drive around with no driver's license it's not a slap on the wrist anymore it's actually jail time that's served plus the fines so it's becoming a problem and that's part of the reason why the legislators has passed this enhancement to the law of no driver license hey um just let her know that she's getting two tickets today the one the first one's for no driver license and the second one's for speeding so because I'm giving her one for no driver license it's criminal which means instead of me taking your mom to jail today I'm giving her this criminal citation and she needs to appear in front of a judge all the information is right here it's the same way on your ticket now since it's criminal I have to have her sign right here and then I have to have her leave a thumb print on the back of the citations right here in this box it's going to be a flat firm pressed and lift straight up if she refuses to provide these she's going to be placed under arrest all right it's [Music] not and then these are the two citations like I said the court information's all it's the same it's all on the bottom here these copies just go to the clerk of courts does she have any questions or anything like that and you said someone's coming to get the car right now so just pull it off the roadway you can park it on the grass and then whenever they come here make sure they you know they got to have a license just leave it on the grass right here and they can take the car all right tell her no more driving though no more driving until you get your license waiting for I got it but it's baking around 20 minutes who your friend yeah my friend okay no problem that
