the Coral Springs Police Department is so proud for the ninth year to be bringing back its summer youth program this Camp provides the opportunity for our officers to connect with our underserved Community what really makes this program unique is that our school resource officers are the camp counselors they're the ones that are mentoring these campers through the summer this year campers participated in enrichment activities such as Bradley chub's football clinic at the Miami Dolphins Baptist Health Training Facility a junior Dolphins football clinic and a mock commission meeting at City Hall we also provide programs within the camp that cover exercise programs through Sports and educational Endeavors which includ science projects in arts and crafts even Papa John's came in to teach our campers how to make a pizza pie the camp also provides volunteer opportunities for our teenagers in the community to earn service hours the campers were also able to participate in ride kids which is a self-defense program as well as CrossFit activities a special thank you to parriage Baptist Church for donating clothing for our campers St Mary Magdalene Church provided snacks and food throughout the camp thanks to a generous donation from F serve this allowed us to provide backpacks filled with school supplies and to take the campers to Shoe Carnival to pick out a brand new pair of shoes before starting school we are grateful to the Brer County schools for providing us with the camps location here at sass Springs Middle School as well as employees to help provide lunch for the campers as a fun way to close out the camp we brought them to Urban Air where they enjoyed a full day of Activity thank you to the community of involvement unit for making this all possible each summer [Music]
