Her refusal to comply with lawful orders, including demands to identify herself and move to a secure area, led to officers placing her under arrest for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest. Throughout the encounter, she demanded to speak with attorneys and insisted on recording the incident. The woman expressed frustration at her abrupt transition from arriving for a vacation to being detained in jail. >> I just need her transported and we'll take her with >> I don't even know her name yet. I'll tell you that right now. >> Officers noted her intoxication level was high and that her resistance made the arrest necessary. After being cuffed and searched, she was taken into custody. But wait for this next case where a drunk Newer refuses to leave airport on May 17th, 2024 at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport when a New Yorker, heavily intoxicated, was reported causing a disturbance. Upon arriving, officers approached the individual who was uncooperative and clearly under the influence. The man grew increasingly combative when told that his flight with Frontier Airlines could be cancelled due to his apparent impairment. As the situation escalated, the man threatened physical violence against officers and became verbally aggressive, which only heightened the tension. Police tried to deescalate the situation by suggesting he could reschedule his flight for the next day, but he rejected all offers. >> What time do you go bye-bye? Just chill out. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> After repeated warnings, the man was informed that he was no longer allowed to board his flight and would need to leave the airport. He responded with anger, stating that being prevented from flying was illegal and accusing the officers of discrimination. As he was told to leave, the man became even more irate, yelling obscenities and accusing the officers of not helping him. Eventually, officers escorted him out, but he continued to resist and make threats. >> How do I get to Vegas right now? How do I get to Las Vegas? >> We're not going to get there tonight cuz the lab is the last flight out. >> So, y'all stranded me in Las Vegas. I'm illegal. I'm not straight. You know it. Okay. >> Unfortunately, he was charged with disorderly conduct, making threats, and public intoxication. But hold on your seats because this next case is more shocking than the others. On December 15th, 2022, a woman named Melanie created a scene at an airport after learning that her flight was cancelled. Instead of returning home, she opted to remain at the terminal bar and drink heavily. Witnesses became concerned when they noticed she could barely stand, prompting a call to authorities. When officers approached to assess the situation, she grew increasingly erratic and uncooperative. Though they attempted to be polite and even tried to help her avoid arrest by asking her to call someone to pick her up, she insisted she had no one. And you ask if anybody is there for you and they say no one is there for you. You should believe it. >> I didn't even do anything. >> There are people who need you. >> There are people who need you. with you. >> I know. >> How you doing, sir? You'll be better. I would recommend you take the chair with you. >> Thank you. >> Thank you very much. >> No, there are people who need me, >> right? And you have me tied up. >> And I'm telling you that there are people who >> Enough. Can you take her or she's going to jail? She's causing a problem. There are people you realize. All right. >> Hey, stop. Get down. >> No, I'm not staying down. They're working. >> Get out of my face. No. No. >> What's going on? Can you talk to me or what's going on? Are you her boyfriend? >> He's here to pick her up. She her flight got cancelled. >> Sat at the bar gas for a little had too much to drink >> and then she didn't she's unsteady on her feet. She can't walk. So we put her in real. >> Moments later, she admitted she did have someone waiting. Her boyfriend or boss, whom she initially denied even existed. Her erratic behavior continued, and she refused to cooperate. rambled incoherently and eventually admitted to urinating on herself. Despite multiple chances to simply leave with her ride, Melanie chose confrontation. Officers tried to be patient, repeatedly asking her to leave before resorting to arrest. As she was taken into custody, she struggled against the officers, complaining about shoulder pain and continuing to insist she had done nothing wrong. I said yourself. I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. >> I'm going to leave. But I didn't do anything to you. And I don't know why you're being so mean to me. You need to leave with your boyfriend. >> Yes. >> Why are you >> right now? You need to leave something. Let's go. Just go. I'm giving you the courty to leave right now. >> I know. >> Follow your boyfriend. >> Yeah. >> Go. Intoxication requires. I didn't do it. >> Melanie. Melanie. >> Can I just drag her off? Where's your car? It's right there. Shortterm park. You get to say what you want. >> I didn't do anything. >> I didn't enjoy anything. There's the hole. There's the hole. >> She was transported to the airport's holding facility, which often serves to temporarily detain intoxicated individuals. Though she was visibly intoxicated and disruptive, she continued to plead her innocence, claiming she loved her life and that others needed her. Ultimately, her antics and refusal to cooperate led to her arrest. She was charged with drunk and disorderly conduct. Thank you for watching Cop Cam Nation.
