On September 10th, 2025, a deputy responded to a Target after reports of shoplifting. Store security told deputies they'd watched a woman shopping with her daughter fill a cart with a comforter in a portable sauna before stopping at Starbucks for something sweet. When the line took too long, she left, paid only for a case of water, and walked out of the store without paying for the other items. Two other deputies, a sergeant and a corporal, were already on site for an unrelated matter and were the ones who escorted her into the loss prevention office where the responding deputy soon arrived to speak with her. >> Respond to target. There's a Bravo Fox driving lost collection. >> I said I went through the phone, but I thought it went through, but >> I was asking if you had no >> So if it didn't, I can go back and scan it again. I'm not even talking. >> Oh, no. I don't have it. >> So, what did you uh what did you pay for today? >> I just paid for this and this right here and that. But if I didn't if it didn't go through, I can do it again. >> Do you think you did it? >> Yeah. >> Why do you think that? >> Um because I went through the switch. So, I mean, if I can do it again, that's fine. >> Why? Well, so my question is why do you think it didn't go through the first time? Why didn't they? >> Cuz my car probably was locked or whatever. So, >> how'd you pay for the water? >> I just I just went back. So, I I had went to >> Okay. >> Starbucks. >> Where's your receipt today? >> Um I don't have it with me. I just just tossed it >> from the time you just paid a service. >> Yeah, I just got that. >> Okay. So, you don't have to just pay for it. Okay. Yeah, go for it. [Music] >> Is there anything in your purse that belongs to Target that's not paid for? >> No. >> What about your jacket? I got >> pants or shoes, socks, anything? >> No. >> Okay. >> Might sound like a funny question, but we've seen some crazy stuff. >> Oh, you know, I'm just trying to go ahead and do what I need to do and go going back to my house. >> Where you coming from? >> I'm coming from uh Palm Coast. >> We're in Palm Coast. >> Uh what's road? >> What's road? >> Wood. >> Wood road. So, if I look, this will be the only thing that's paid for. These things are not paid for. >> Okay. >> I'm asking you. >> So, if it didn't >> Well, I'm asking you. Is that going to be what I'm going to see? >> Excuse me. >> Is that going to be what I'll see when I look at the cameras? These things are not paid for. >> I don't know. >> What's your name? Jennifer. Jennifer. Hold on. All right. >> Hello. >> Hello. How we doing? >> Trying to hurry up and get back to to my house some >> and I was trying to rush and get everything. So I >> just didn't pay for it, right? >> No, I I had went through the restaurant, but if it didn't scan, I can scan it. >> If if I knew I paid for this and I had a receipt or even if I didn't have a receipt, I'd be like, "What the hell are you talking to me before I paid for it?" >> Right. I mean, it's on it's on my card, but I can scan it again. So, if it didn't go through the card, so I can do it again. >> Okay. Have you ever stolen from here before, Jennifer? >> No. >> Do you have a twin sister? >> No. Not that I know. >> Okay. Thank you. >> I don't think so. >> Do you have any daughters? Granddaughters? >> No, I have one. One daughter. >> One daughter. >> You have? >> Yeah. Are they coming? >> They said they're everyone's tied up right now. So >> scan it again. >> Okay. Well, I don't think you're being fully honest with me, Jennifer. So, I don't think we're going to be able to do that today. >> The itemized receipt and I'll be right back. If you have any questions, just hold off. >> I want to go ahead and pay for that if I didn't. So, if it didn't go through my card, I want to do it again. >> No. >> What do you mean no? I mean, it's pretty straightforward. No, we're not doing that. I don't think you're being honest. You still want to? >> Yeah, go for it. >> Scan. I want to redo it again. >> Yeah. >> Do that. >> When did you when did you try to scan it? After you selected it. >> Yeah. >> So, that's how you come up to the front. You came to Starbucks. >> I went to Starbucks to get some coffee, but then the line was long. So I was like, "Okay, well let me go ahead and push go to the customer service and everything else." >> But then I was waiting on her to waiting on her so I can get signal >> cuz my heart >> go ahead and open up and just my phone doesn't. >> How are you able to pay for the water? >> The water I had cash on me. >> Okay. >> And then I I went close to the count to >> see if I can get >> No, I didn't know. You see how that sounds like outside? >> Oh, no. I wasn't going I wasn't going that far. I was like right here so I can get signal and then I back. >> Man, what's your name? >> Just the one at Target. And there's a fox. >> Jennifer. >> And what's your birthday? >> 12. >> Thank you. >> Yes. >> Okay. All right. Uh, you have the right to remain silent and anything you say may be used as evidence against you. You have the right to talk to an attorney and have him or her with you now or at any time during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you. If at any time you wish to stop talking or to have an attorney present, all questioning will be stopped at your request. Do you understand what that means? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> So, we're here trying to figure out what's going on. Also, we weren't here for you, just so you know. We just I was trying to I was trying to get I was trying to get much but I couldn't get anyone when I was in Starbucks and I was like looking at my phone and I was like can't get any phone. So I went close to so I can get close to the to the door. >> Thank you >> to get you know reception because I have >> your you grabbed this stuff right? >> Yes. I was going to go close to the door so I can get reception and turn back around so I can go to the customer service and get it. >> But you went to customer service for this. >> Yes. >> Okay. So you selected >> I had to unlock my card before I came into the store. But the other card I have direct and it didn't stop. So you selected this stuff. >> Mhm. >> And then you grabbed it and then where did you go? >> I went to Starbucks. I seen that's where I seen you at Starbucks. I went through the the what's called the line. And then I >> So why did you turn around from Starbucks? Cuz you were there until you saw us and you turned around. >> No, I was going to get coffee. >> You were in line and then you left. >> No, no, I was getting I was going to get coffee. >> But you didn't. >> Yeah, because the the line and I was like, "Okay, let me go ahead and get reception." Then I my daughter had called and I was like, "Okay, send me some money, some extra money." Because I had just took her pants back. Send me some extra money so I can go ahead and get the the stuff that you wanted and then so I can unlock the other card. I have three cards with me. Okay. So, how were you going to pay for Starbucks? >> Starbucks? Um, I had like $10 on the chime card. >> Okay. So, you were going to pay for Starbucks with the chime card? >> Yes. >> That's only had $10 on there. >> But you didn't get Starbucks? >> No, I didn't. Cuz I was going to I was going to wait until I get to where I need to go. But I was going to go to customer service first to uh pay for this right here and then have her send the um she had to send the cash. So I was trying to get close to where I can get the >> That doesn't unlock. >> That doesn't make any sense. >> No, I was trying to get the card unlocked. >> You can't you can't pass all points of sales and basically walk outside. >> Can't do that. >> Well, I'm sorry, but I was trying to get the my card unlocked. I can't get it unlocked. Isn't also basically Starbucks equivalent to around the same location of >> where this is? >> Yeah, Starbucks is down the street. >> No, the Starbucks at your right here. >> Oh, yeah. That's But I was going I was like, "Okay, my >> So, why wouldn't you just leave your cart at guest services while you're trying to do all this stuff?" >> I don't know. I was cuz my pocketbook is in it. I don't know. I was I wasn't thinking. >> It doesn't make sense. >> No, but I wasn't thinking. So if it doesn't make sense of paying for the water, walking basically outside with this stuff. >> I didn't go outside. I was >> This is considered basically pass point. >> Jennifer, >> come on. >> Can you give me a >> Can you just level with us? >> Everything's on camera. We literally saw all this go down. Just be truthful with us and like we can move on. >> Can you just tell us what what really happened? >> None of that makes sense. >> No, no, seriously. I was going to go get coffee, but I I stopped. >> So, the answer is no. You're not going to be sweet. >> No, I'm telling I'm Let me finish telling you. I'm I'm trying to tell you cuz I'm a diabetic. I was going to get coffee so I can have a sugar rush to go get coffee. I was like, "Okay, so I have $10 on the car. Let me go ahead and grab water real quick and everything else." And while she's sending money to my car, cuz she just called sending money to my car, stating that she just sent it. Um, I said, "Okay." So, I went to >> to um customer service to pay for the water and be then I had to get try to get reception on the phone to go ahead and, you know, put the phone in. But, I have the money. >> You have either. >> No, >> you don't. 78 >> 12 78 >> No. >> What is it? >> 79. >> It's Jennifer. J E N I F E R. >> Yes. Um this >> I mean >> but this is a >> what I'm saying is that I was going to I was going I'm going to pay for that stuff >> but I had to get reception first but I if I wasn't thinking if I would have left the cart there and everything I should have done that >> and went outside and come back in. So, has there ever been any other incidents like this where you've taken stuff >> from Target? >> No. >> No. >> No. >> So, you had there was nothing recently where you took something where you went to Starbucks also and then you left kind of doing the same thing? >> No. >> Miss Jennifer, do you know your social security number? >> Where you stay at? >> All right. What's the address there? All right. Have you ever been in trouble? >> Thank you, ma'am. Thank you. Need >> for discussion. >> Uh, all right. So, earlier today, what about before that? No, >> you had never shopped here before earlier today. >> No, not that I know of. No, >> I mean not that >> I mean usually when people say >> I can't I mean I'm I'm fine. >> I hear you. But usually when people say not that I know of >> no I haven't been here >> is is a clue for me that says yes. >> Oh no I haven't. So >> like I said unfortunately >> other than Olive Garden I've seen been around the area but Olive Garden. >> Okay. So you've never shopped here before today? just to just today to drop her pants off. >> Okay. So, you weren't here Sunday at all? >> No. >> No. So, you didn't >> Not that I don't I mean that No, I don't have a a twin that I um I do have one out here, but I don't know where >> No, I don't. I'm serious. >> Let's not do that. >> I do have >> So, the reason why I asked you that is cuz I know for a fact you were here someday. I that wasn't a funny like, hey, do you have that was me telling you, hey, I know you were here someday. >> Yeah. In order to maybe like be mature with each other, have a conversation, get to the bottom of this. I mean, I don't think you're some career criminal. I think you made a mistake. Probably a few mistakes. So, this is the deal. You came here Sunday. You basically did the exact same thing that you did today. You went selected some things. That day was a vacuum and something else. And then you went to Starbucks. >> Yeah. The big black and yellow storage bins. >> Yeah. And then you went to Starbucks and then you left. >> Oh, you did it for me. Thank you. >> Get ready. [Music] Pretty good. >> Yeah. But I know my identity and stuff was stolen a couple years ago. So >> having your identity stolen doesn't >> give you a good reason to steal from Target, though. >> I I didn't. >> What's your daughter's name? >> Shia. >> Yeah. >> I just turned her pants in. Just not about >> Did you see her? >> She might. Does she live with you? >> Okay. >> Did come back the same address. >> You've been here for a year. How come you didn't switch your stuff yet? >> Um because I was trying to get my they switch my license. They need approve of my last name and stuff. and in the process of divorce or something or >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> They needed proof of everything. >> You don't have any kind of photo identification at all? >> No, not with me. >> Where would it be at? >> Um I didn't I didn't grab it. I was whatever pop book that was close by me when I cuz I'm moving. >> Yeah. But when's the last time you had it? Here in Florida. Last time you had it was in Georgia. >> Um >> I know where my driver's license is 24 hours a day. I mean, I it's it's at the house, but I I have several followups. Everything is packed up. I'm gonna get ready. >> I personally I don't know. I don't want to speak on your behalf or anything like that, but I am exhausted already from the half troops. Kind of like your name is Jennifer, but you conveniently left off. Uh how you conveniently, it is, but you just didn't tell us >> everything we needed to identify. But they was it was in the process of changing it. So >> when they got your driver's license, what was your name at that time that would show on your driver's license? Any kind of legal documentation you have. >> It would have been Jennifer. That's it. >> Okay. Yeah. That's that's how we identify someone without a photo ID. >> Oh yeah. >> Is by their name that they put on the driver's license, ID card, passport. It was Jennifer, but they they was going to switch it to DMV, >> but not yet. They I had wait on the paperwork from from where I used to stay at long time ago. >> Okay. >> When I was married, they needed something that had my legal last, you know, my maiden name. >> Can I call her? >> No, you're not calling anyone. How much is it? >> $288. >> Wow. >> Oh, yeah. Right here. >> Yeah. >> Yes. that's never been here before. >> Yeah. Like I said, they they have it on video of somebody doing the same thing. So, >> like I said, I'm very big on truthfulness, like being just straight up with me. Uh, >> do you care not to me? >> Yeah, that's what it is. >> Yeah, I'm just saying. That's why I'm not really asking a whole lot more questions cuz I just don't want to get lost. >> But if you want to have a truthful conversation from start to finish, just let us know. >> Do you remember the uh >> You guys have any other questions for >> No, she just fine. >> Anybody read? >> Yeah, we did. We did earlier. >> Yeah. >> All right. I know they talked to you already and they advised you your Miranda warnings. Correct. >> I'll do I'll do it again so you remember. So before I ask you any questions that could potentially incriminate yourself, I'm going to read you these rights. So you have the right to remain silent. I'm going to stop the questioning at any time by refusing to answer further questioning or by requesting to consult with your attorney. Do you understand these rights if I read them to you? >> Okay. All right. So like I said before, I'm Deputy Stanford. So you came in today. Obviously you're going to target. Um what'd you come for? I to um I thought just those two items right there and that right there. So I'm ready to pay for it and go home. >> So you got your stuff. You got these two items here and then >> you got line at Starbucks, right? >> No, I didn't even get a chance to get because it was I was just >> Well, you you went into Starbucks. I was like, I'm >> okay. >> What made you leave Starbucks? >> Cuz it was it was it was taking too long for me cuz I need something sweet real quick. >> Mhm. >> And I'm still needing something. >> What happened when you left Starbucks? >> I went to customer service, but then um cuz that card was already unlocked. So the Chinese card, >> you went and got the water. >> Yes. Customer service. >> Yes. And then I looked at my phone. My phone wasn't getting much of a reception. So I went right here to get the um get the uh card to unlock right here and it's going to return back around. >> Okay, that was it. >> Yeah. Who's your broker? >> Metro. >> Metro. >> I know I got cricket. It usually picks up most of the spots. It'll jump around from all the different characters. >> Yeah, that's I couldn't get it. It wouldn't went catch. >> Wait a minute. You say you're on the phone with your daughter. >> No, I had already talked to her when I was kind of walking cuz I was pass I passed this right here when I was walking towards >> No, you talked to her to put money on that card for your water. >> Yeah, she did that. >> So, you had service? >> I had service when I was outside. She had already put it on there. I told her I need extra more money. I'm not. >> So, once you paid for the water. >> Yes. Right. >> You have to walk out the door. >> No, I didn't. I wasn't going to walk out the door. I stopped right here to um u get reception cuz I couldn't get it. >> This is the only thing paid for at that point, though. >> Yes. >> All right. So, >> as for right now, but anytime you pass the cash registers with those, you're passing all points of sale. >> Okay. >> Right. You come to walk out the front door, people do it every single day, multiple times a day. We're here for it. People will just put the stuff in the cart and then walk out the door. >> No, I I can't I can't do that cuz I I >> Well, you're on video doing that. Walking out the door. >> Well, I wasn't trying to, but I was trying to get reception. That's all. And so I could return. I have money on my card. I have >> Why didn't you leave the card inside and try to walk outside >> without it? >> I don't know. I wasn't thinking. I was trying to get something sweet. >> So, we asked her also. She could have left that at customer service when she paid for her water. She didn't do that either. Um, >> I wasn't thinking cuz I was I'm still trying. I need something sweet quickly before. >> So, I know they asked you, you don't have any prior shoplifting or theft convictions or anything like that in here or the state of Georgia cuz we can find all that information. >> I can. >> Okay. >> She's been arrested for shoplifting. You said in Georgia. >> I was in the park. I was in hanging out with >> No, Dave was in the store. I was outside. Okay. Not that I know. >> I was outside this one time. >> All right. I'm going to go look at my computer and I will be right back. >> With this that you are going to be trespass from Target. >> Okay, that's fine. >> With that trespass. [Music] [Music] Do you have something? >> What are you looking for? >> I need something. >> You still have to get whatever name you're going to get. Is there any chance that your name might be something different? >> No. >> No. >> Cuz you're not coming up for anything. >> So, we have no way to positively identify who you are. >> What's that? >> You want to give us your social one more time? >> All right. What was it? >> Yeah, that's what I had. Still not coming up with anything. >> I didn't know we were still having name issues. >> Yeah. Yeah. I got a criminal history and there's 14 people on there but not >> and again if you realize they gave us the wrong name. No, that is >> regardless of what happened here today, you're you're still in trouble for giving us the wrong name. >> How? That is my name. >> And that's your social. He's just like that's your date of birth. >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm just trying to save some time because I know sometimes people like really really like to hold on to it and try to sell it, but we're not going anywhere. >> No, I'm not. I know. Okay. >> No, you're good. I just wanted to throw that disclosure out there because >> Yeah, I know my was separate time, but I don't know. Yeah, but it wouldn't necessarily make it unsearchable by law enforcement. It would just mean >> Yeah, that's my social. >> All right. >> And you've had identification cards in the past, like driver's licenses and stuff. >> Nothing out of Florida yet. All out of Georgia. >> I didn't I had to wait on the my um >> So nothing in Florida yet? >> No. >> Ever? >> No. >> Only place you've ever been licensed or IDed was in Georgia? >> Yes. Okay. >> I had to wait on uh my uh paperwork from Virginia because I was m um >> you said Virginia. >> What part of Virginia? >> It was New Bern. >> New Bruce. I was uh Fortus for a long time. >> Boy. >> Mhm. >> I was at Aberdine. >> I've been Aberdine as well. >> Then that's when my >> Fort useless. >> Did you have a Virginia driver's license? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> It just it was just a regular ID, >> but it was the same. You got identification card from the state of Virginia? >> No. >> No. >> Not with me. No. >> Not at all. Ever. >> So, you had your last driver's license was from Georgia. >> Yeah. >> Where did you get an ID card or a driver's license since you first got one at 16, 17, 18 years old? How many states? >> Just Georgia. >> Just Georgia. What about Virginia? >> No. >> Were you in the army? >> No. >> Was your husband in the army? >> We was moved all the way around. He wasn't in the army. He was uh for the shipyard. >> Oh, okay. >> The Naples all down the I guess down the coast or whatever like um Ches Bay. Yeah. North Carolina and South Carolina and stuff like that. So, >> okay. >> And >> I just wanted cuz every time I moved I switched my driver's license to >> Oh, yeah. I had I couldn't switch it here because they they wanted >> Did you switch it when you were in Virginia? >> No. if they can find a Virginia ID card that you had previously or North Carolina, Washington DC, Washington State. >> It was Virginia. It would have been under Jennifer they they >> So you had So we have we have driver's licenses and we have ID cards. >> ID. >> You had an ID card out of the state of Virginia. Yes. >> It said state of Virginia on it with a number and your name. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So that's what I asked a few times. Yeah. >> So, you had Georgia, you had Virginia, any other states? >> Um, that's it. I couldn't get here because I had to wait for the paperwork from >> Virginia. So, they >> I'm not worried about here. I just I need to identify you. >> Oh, yeah. That just me >> Jennifer >> or Jennifer. They probably have it on the jumper. Come on. Sure. One2. [Music] Can you on that subject for a previous Virginia ID card? Also, >> when I got married in Virginia, um my ID and my uh marriage license and birth certificate, all that was sent to the wrong address. So, she got everything and I had to reapply. >> What was your birthday again, dear? >> 73. >> Yes. I don't know. >> So, the one you gave me earlier was 79. >> It sure was. >> I think the one before that was 78. >> I know my birthday. >> I know my address. I know my driver's license number from Ohio since I was 16. >> I I can't even remember that part cuz I um I have ADHD. And then >> what's your address? Or 78 or 73. She doesn't seem to know. That's probably it. You run that one. >> 104 if that's what you get in Georgia driver's license. Uh can you see if you can get a picture also? >> So 1973. >> Yes. >> Okay. Why don't you just tell us >> What's your phone number, Miss Jennifer? >> Yeah, I'd say. So, >> did you have your nose pierced at one point? >> I just got it done. >> You just got it done. >> So, it is pierced now. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> All right. >> All right. So, I don't know if they told you you're going to be trespassed from Target. >> Okay. >> Which that's this Target here in Palm Coast. Don't come. You come back to this Target and they see you and they call us and they want to pursue charges, you're going to be arrested for trespass after warning. >> Okay. >> It's not worth it. >> I'm not sure if we're there yet. Are we there yet? >> No. I was just letting her know about this. >> I didn't know if there was that. >> No, but this form right here, it's just a trespass form. It's not going to cost you anything. Not a ticket. This just to let you know, I'm not allowed to go back to Target. So, I'm going to slip this in your purse for you. Stays between Target and the sheriff's office. If you want to tell your friends and family about it, they'll hear it from you. But nobody else is going to find out about it except for us and Target. Obviously, if you come back and get arrested for it, it'll be a public record. But right now, it's between a few people in this room. I'm going to check that again. Good. >> You have something. >> Excuse me. >> I need something. >> Like what? >> Something sweet. something. >> I don't have any food or anything like that. >> Just bear with us a little bit longer. They're discussing right now what they want to do. >> Uh, she remembered her birthday. So many we got a picture done. >> So now they're looking at all the priors to see if there's any enhancements. >> Truth goes a long way. >> My identity is stolen. So I mean I don't >> So you don't know your date of birth? >> Yes, I know my date of birth. I said 73. I don't know. >> You said I think 78 first then 79. >> No, I just said 778. >> Man. What's the bottom thing? Is it like a What is that? >> This a sauna. >> A sauna. It improves circulation, refreshing skin, reduces stress, and has enhanced recovery. >> You ever used one of those before? >> Um, I had one and it had broke. Like one with it like a Is it like portable? >> Yes, portable. >> You said it broke. >> Yeah. >> Do you have to pour water in it or do you have to like hook it up to a hose? >> Oh, pour water in. >> Pour it in there. >> Does it keep the steam actually in there or does it make the whole house hot? >> No, it just make it static. >> Really? >> I just feel like it would like leak. >> You mean like crazy? Then it just everything would be buggy. >> It just it was it was inside >> starting to melt. No, just inside it would be like that the inside of that deck. >> So, as long as we're kind of maybe starting out on a new leaf here, uh, can you I really don't know cuz I wasn't in there with that conversation. What did you take on Sunday when you were here? >> I wasn't here on Sunday. Not that I >> Not that I know of. >> No, I wasn't here. >> I already told you what. Not Not that I know of. >> Okay. Well, I wasn't here on Sunday. I was home. I had homework. >> I'm I'm a college student. >> Where do you go to school? >> Columbia Southern. >> Is that online? >> I had to do intern. >> What you trying to do? >> Emergency management. >> What? So, now that they have your actual info, what's your criminal history actually look like? >> Excuse me? >> What's your criminal history look like? You told me just the one shoplifter and then >> Yes. Other than the guilty by association with those people, that's it. >> So, your daughter just left you. >> Um, I don't know where she went. I don't know. >> That's wild that she wouldn't >> I don't know. Maybe she wanted to go get my ID or whatever. But I just know my >> She went to go get your ID >> cuz I I I was going to go ahead and um to I had just took her pants and stuff and she just came in the store, got her money and her receipt and she left and I was like, "Okay." >> You said she was outside waiting for you. >> She was. If you was out there, if she you didn't see her, she's gone. >> Why would she leave you? >> I have no clue. See, I have I have a a son that's in school, so she might have >> let you finish your sign. She might >> I don't know what time it is. Uh might have went home to wait for him to get out of off the bus or whatever cuz he don't have a key. >> But then she just expect you to walk home. >> No, I would have thought it over. >> That makes sense. It does. 105. >> I say yes. >> I say because of the >> That's what I've been saying alone. >> 100%. That's what I've been saying. >> Right. When we walked outside there, I said the same thing. >> I was like the dude like he's graduating early. He's uh what's they call that? U last year Battle Victorian or was it um No, Buran is the other one. He got a a scholarship. So he has an attitude. So I just be honest with you. I just hear a lot of lies >> coming from you and it's lies are kind of exhausting. You know what I mean? So it's just I'm a very just upfront blunt person. >> Three prior. >> Yeah. >> What? >> And then uh >> Virginia. >> Three prior. >> I only know of one. >> So you had one one out of Virginia, >> two out of Georgia. >> I mean, like I said, I only know of one. That's when I was with >> All right. On your criminal history, it says convicted on there. >> Like you went to court, >> you went through the judge. >> I said I was guilty by association. >> Sometimes Well, guilty by association is still guilty >> under the umbrella. So, >> all right, dear. So, go ahead and stand up for me. You got any weapons on you? >> No. >> All right. Turn around that way. So, you going to be placed under arrest for shoplifting? I'm going to pull your sleeve up. You want to take your shirt off now before we put the handcuffs on? >> No. >> All righty. So, you don't have anything on you, right? >> No. >> All right. No guns, drugs, knives. Nothing. >> No. >> ID? >> No. >> If we find it at the jail, it's an additional charge. >> You can search me now. There's nothing. >> Oh, I'm going to. >> Okay. So, I'm going to close these so they don't close up on you. >> What was your daughter driving? >> Excuse me. >> Was your daughter driving her outside again? >> Was she wearing a red bonnet? >> No. >> No. Okay. All right. Can she come pick up your case of water? >> Yeah. I I got to call her. >> Okay. We'll call her out there. Grab your purse. You have that clipboard. Yep. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Grab me that training receipt, too, please, when you come. >> Said she's in a black Pathfinder. >> Yeah. >> All right. [Music] So, I would do yourself a favor and carry an ID on you at all times. Like I said, if worst case scenario, you get in a car accident and you're unconscious, >> right? She was driving, >> we'll be able to identify you. I I understand she's driving, but if she gets in an accident and the two of you were both unconscious >> Mhm. >> we're up the creek trying to figure out who you guys are. >> All right, just lean up against there, dear. All right, we don't have any female deputies, so I'm going to pat you down with the back of my hand. Okay. So, it's not going to be as in-depth as the female would do, but my body cam's on and so is certain here. >> Just so you know, the biggest thing is if he if there is something, >> it's going to be a felony in the jail. >> Now, tell him now if cuz if it goes into our jail. So, now we always give the the last opportunity. >> I can work with it out here. Like, you got a little bit of we I'm just saying in general. Well, I'm not saying you got on you, but people say, "No, I don't have anything." And then they go through the body scanner and like, "What's that?" All up in there. Lift your arms up. Spread your feet apart for me, dear. Thanks. All right. I'm just going to go across your belly here. You got nothing, right? >> Okay. You got a phone in your purse? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> All right. I'm going to turn the camera on for you. Her daughter doesn't have a driver's license, so probably not here. >> Yeah. Uh, no. Phone's in there. >> Phone's in there. >> Right there. >> She has an earpiece in her ear just >> Okay. >> All right, Miss Jennifer. Let's uh >> what's her name? >> Sham. >> Shia >> right there. Where's your volume button? >> Do you want to just have her meet us over here? Is this her right here walking up? >> Yes. That's >> Do you want her to take your purse? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Can I talk to her? >> Yeah. Yeah, I'll have her come over. Watch your elbow. >> She's going to jail. Yeah. >> For how long? >> Uh, that's not up to us. >> Um, >> here. Come up here so you don't get hit by a car. What? What car were you in? >> Over there. >> Over where? >> I don't hear. >> Which one? >> Black. >> Tahoe. >> Um, no. All >> right. Your mom wants me to give you a purse. Do you have ID on you, dear? >> Yeah. You >> got anybody else in the car with you? >> No. >> How' the car get here? >> Okay. Are you got somebody who can come pick you up? >> Yeah. >> Cuz you can't drive with an ID card. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Did you drive down here? >> To where? >> Down to Target. No, she did. >> She did. >> So, what was the deal today? >> We went I got some jeans. >> Here. Come over. Come over here. Mom, what are we saying? >> I went and I got some dropped my sister. We dropped my sister off. I went and got some jeans. I said, "I'mma go uh try more and if I can't." So, she was going back. Not the money. I guess it started raining. So, I told her about the key and then I starting out. >> I don't know. Well, I know she's still there shopping. So you and I got your Yes. He uh decided to actually decided to give us information. cuz I know her. >> Yeah, but she didn't know her specifically. Everyone knows. >> So, um >> hello. Can you uh if I get your Uber >> or drive? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. Um, can you come here? >> Yeah. Okay. You don't know how long? >> No, it's not our fault. >> I have somebody on the way. >> The water. >> Oh, yeah. Your mom can take the water. I'll get that for you. Um, she wants to [Music] >> phone's in the purse. Does she want to take her phone with her so she has phone numbers? >> Yes. >> Yeah, I'll take that. >> Okay. Grab the uh grab the water. >> She has been trespassed from here. So, she's not allowed to come back to Target. >> That form's in there for her. >> Oh, she said she want to keep the phone number. >> Yeah, I got it. >> Okay. >> That form, >> the form about her not allowed to come back. >> Okay. >> I'll grab that and then I'll head out. >> Yeah. >> Grab the water. >> Yeah. So, dear, just make sure you don't get caught driving. Your mom said you drove down here. I didn't see it. So, >> she drove down. >> I'm just letting you know what she said. Um, >> but don't don't get caught driving. I don't know. I asked I was like, "Who drove down here?" She said she did. So, like I said, I didn't see it. Don't get caught. Now, you know. So, it's that case of water right there. >> So, what else was she trying to get? >> A comforter and something else. >> Cuz I could have paid for it. >> So, she said she could have, too. But you're good to go. She'll give you a call. >> I'm not sure. >> It's going to be a few hours at least. She's going to have to bond out. >> It's not going to be overnight. Shouldn't. >> Her record is clean. So, I don't know why the she came in or trying to do that. >> I don't know. >> Are you getting the air, dear? >> Not a little bit. Just ready to get this over and go home. >> What's that? >> I said I'm just ready to get this over with and go home. I was trying to paper stuff in No. >> Should be pretty quick getting out of here. >> I said it should be pretty quick getting out of here. >> How so? >> Well, I come in here at shift change and everybody's doing headc counts and switching coming into work and leaving work. So, >> Mhm. >> it takes a little while around that time. 20 or something. >> I just need pretty quick getting you out of my car. >> Oh, can you can these be put in the front? >> What's that? >> I said can these be put in the front? >> Yeah. Went to the control 141 1015 for medical back. All right. Turn that way for me. Okay. I'm just going to have to get underneath here. Ow. You all right? >> Yeah. >> Pull that out. Put your hand in front of you. >> You all right? Put that around. So like I'm going to switch that around for you. All right. So these are eggshaped. >> Mhm. >> So if you move your hand the wrong way, it's going to close up on. It's going to hurt. Pull that out. All right. Set that back in there like that. Good. All right. In here. Nope. So, they're shaped like your wrists. Okay. >> Okay. Loose. Close that. All righty. So, is that too loose? >> No, it's just >> All right. So, if you >> if you spin that enough, >> your hand's going to get stuck sideways. >> Okay. So, I give you a little wiggle room. You give it a be no problem here. Um, so next time, I'm not saying you're trying to be evasive. I know my birthday. >> I mean, I know it. >> I know where I had driver's license ID card out of. >> I can't think right now. >> Georgia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania. Those are the driver's licenses that I had since I've been licensed. >> Yeah, I had ID. Like I said, I have ID, but um >> so a lot of people will be evasive with us cuz they don't want us to find out what was in the past. >> No, that's I mean my my identity was stolen. That's fine. I you know I know about the one. >> Okay. >> And supposedly this one now. So >> usually people do their due diligence to positively identify subjects we're dealing with. >> Right. But I'm just saying >> any kind of crime, >> right? But I'm saying that my identity, everything, she took everything and I have so many records to the point that I'm like trying to figure out like that's not me. That's not me. And I have to >> I hope that's the case here for your sake. Not saying you're going to prison or anything like that. But um you're going to go in here, you're going to have a bond. So they'll know what the bond amount is in there. As soon as they get you out, we'll get you processed. Okay. I just knew about the one with the dealing with uh teenagers and stuff and during that time I was proud I was pregnant. >> They needed a whooping, >> huh? >> He said they probably needed a whooping. >> You need more than that. >> You know, you learned your lesson, you know, taking people to to the store and going to look for them, you know. I wasn't trying to I was just trying to get something sweet in me so I can think. >> After her arrest, the woman was charged with pettit theft involving two or more prior convictions. Originally filed as a felony. Records show she had already been convicted of theft in both Virginia and Georgia. One for grand lararseny, another for shoplifting.
