[Music] [Music] [Music] We're back. The Durango's finally back from the garage. After having the rear differential done, the transmission, the transfer case, two CV axles, brakes, and other goodies, we're finally back in action. Today's a gift. That's why they call it the present. It's time to go hit the streets and see what we can get. Tango 3110 8600 block sample. Make it the 3200 block of Northwest 86th Avenue. It's a scooter with no tag. White male driver wearing all blue. Hey, I'm officer Charnie with Cole Springs Police. The reason why I stopped you was because when you came on the sample road, you were driving on the wrong side of the road. All right. There's also no license plate on this. What's going on? I My kid had an accident with my car and I on the scooter. Okay. And I've taken it to work today. Okay. So, you actually have to register this vehicle. All right. It is It is um How How many cc's is this? Do you know? It's electric. I don't even know. It's electric. How fast does it go? I think it maxes out at about 27. Okay. All right. I didn't know I needed it registered. And I I have a valid driver's license. I will get it. Let me see that, please. Thank you. This is fully electric. No uh engine, so it's just a motor in it. That's it. It's a motor in the wheel. Okay. Are you still living in Coconut Creek? No, I live right here. What's your address? You know, I just moved. Let's see. Is it on here? No, this is the old address, too. Do you Okay. So, if like your house is on fire right now and you need to call 911 and you're talking to a 911 dispatcher move there. Okay. All right. You got to learn this. A year ago and you still don't know your your home address. Oh, man. It's Is there any way you can call the wife? Yeah. Yeah. This is This is built by Segway, huh? Yes. Do you know the model number? Yes. Right over here. The E1. Okay. Let me see. Um, let me see. Cuz if it goes over a certain speed, even though it's electric, you still have to get a license plate for it. But let me see how fast these uh bad boys can go. I'll be right back. If you find your address, just stay right there. Okay. So, um I'm not trying to nitpick you. I'm trying to make you a better driver out here. You're also in the bicycle lane. You can't have this in the bicycle lane either. Okay. It's only for bikes. All right. Give me one sec, though. So, we're going eastbound on Sample Road. I see this driver go eastbound on the westbound lanes. He crosses the street and then goes down this side street. I get behind him. He's got no license plate. Now, in Florida, you have to have a license plate on a moped if it goes over 20 miles hour, which this one does. The max speed is 29. If it goes under 20 miles per hour, you don't have to have a license plate for it. So, we have the criminal violation of no tag, failing to register vehicle, plus we have the moving infraction of driving on the wrong side of the roadway. He was also in the bike lane and he also failed to update his license address, which you have to do that 30 days within uh changing addresses. You have 30 days to renew renew it, update it. And he didn't do that. So, we're giving him two citations. One is for failing to register the motor vehicle and then the other ones for driving on the wrong side of the road. The other two things I'm just giving giving him a warning on. But, um, something like this, it is a crime. He can be arrested for it. Instead of being placed under arrest, going to the station, me writing a report and him having to go to Fort Lauderdale and get booked into the Brower County main jail, he just gets this. So, look, I'm giving you two citations. Now, this is a um this moped goes 20 over the speed limit, meaning that you have to have a tag with it. You have to get it registered in Florida and all that. It is considered a motor vehicle. Okay? So, this is your stuff right here. It's the two citations I'm giving you is um driving on the wrong side of the roadway. And then the other one is for you failing to register your vehicle. Now, because you didn't register this vehicle, it is a crime in Florida to drive an unregistered vehicle. It's a misdemeanor. instead of you being under arrest and going downtown to Fort Lauderdale, um you just you're getting a court date, which is because it's it's it's criminal the citation. You do have to sign this. You're not admitting guilt by signing. You're just promising to show up to the court date. And then you're going to do the same thing right here. Thank you. And then I just need to write thumb print. It's a flat firm press. There's a box right here with an arrow. Hi. Flat firm press in the box. And then lift straight up. You don't have to roll your finger. Do you have any questions? I'm not writing you a ticket for you riding in the bicycle lane and I'm not writing you a ticket for you failing to um update the address on your license. Just please make sure you do that on the back of your license. The state's website's there. That's where you can update the license there. Um it's $25. Once you pay and update your license, Florida send you a new one in the mail. Okay. Just uh I guess walk home or um call a tow truck. Okay. So, after the fact, I didn't realize I forgot to say this. When there's no license plate on the vehicle, we have to do a VIN check. I'm checking the uh vehicle's VIN number, making sure it's not stolen out of somewhere. Uh nevertheless, we did the VIN check the the vehicle, the moped, it wasn't stolen. It was um totally fine. The only thing is it just wasn't registered. Right now, we're in route to a residential fire. One of these condos is allegedly on fire. parking spot. Tango 3197. It's going to be the apartment on the south. Did you call? Watch out. Watch out. Is someone in the building or no? [Music] You guys got a fire extinguisher or no? No. Okay. Uh, everything. [Music] [Applause] [Music] You allow us to kick the door. Yes. Is there a fire hazard? No fire. Part-time firefighter. So, we arrive on scene. Um, the owner of the building or the tenant of the building was cooking. She had the stove on. Something happened where the door closed for her front door. And when the front door of her res residence closed, it was locked. She didn't have the keys. So, she called us fearing that the pots would catch on fire and the whole building would be at risk for catching on fire. That's why she called us. So, she gave us permission to break the door down. Um, which we kicked the door in, caused some property damage to the frame and the door. No fire was inside. The cooking was uh very hot. I took everything off the stove, moved it to the side. Now, police department's going to do a report for property damage, and everyone's safe, and we'll be on our way. So, while my partners and I are racing upstairs using the stairs on the fourth and the fifth floor, there's actually a company there. Looks like they're welding a new set of uh metal stairs. So when we got to the third floor, the stairs were cut off. We had to run down the building, go to the other side for this fire escape, and then we were able to properly get up to the fifth floor. Tangle 3150 Sample University. Final is the charter school parking lot. Hi, Officer Charie. Coral Springs, please. I stopped you because when you did that U-turn, the light was actually red. So, you have to stop. I see yellow, sir. No, it wasn't. Sir, I saw yellow. All right. It was red when you did the U-turn. That's why I pulled you over. Do you have your license on you? I saw yellow. I'm sorry. I didn't see red at all when I turned. It was really yellow. No problem. You need my license? Yes, please. Yeah. No, I'm going. I'm going. I'm just like not understanding this. What part do you not understand? I saw it yellow. I didn't see red. That's why I'm like confused here right now. Okay. East and westbound traffic had a green light. There's no way it's going to be green if you had a yellow. Do you live in Boca still? I'm sorry. Do you still live in Boca Raton? Yeah. Yeah. All right. I'll be right back. If you find the registration and the proof. I'm trying to find that the new one cuz I'm sure I have it. I think that's actually the registration paperwork on the bottom of the mask. The surger Yeah, there you go. That might be it right there. Uh, but it says 22. I know I have it. Okay. So, those are expired. Yeah. All right. So, if you find it, just stay seated. Let me let me look for Yeah. If you find it, just stay seated. I'll be right back. You don't have to get out of the car or anything. Okay. Can I get up though? For what? I know. I'm not having a hard time reaching what I have here. Um, just stay seated. All right. All right. Give me one second. You're welcome. So, we're on um University and Sample. East and Westbound traffic on Sample Road have a green light when she does the U-turn. Um, but she told me that the light was yellow. There's no way the light would be yellow if west and eastbound traffic had a green light. 10492. So, um, we'll check her license out and, uh, if she has no history with us, I'll just try to make it education based. If she's gotten tickets before for running red lights, I'm going to write her a ticket for it. You found it, miss officer, I found everything. Okay. Thank you. I got organized. Insurance is good. So, the insurance is actually good. However, these are for your um your parking place cards for like disabled parking. Okay. This is not the vehicle registration. And it looks just like this except it would have the vehicle information on it and all that stuff. So that paperwork needs to be in the car though cuz the law does state that it needs to be in the vehicle. Yeah. Whenever you get a chance, you can find it later. I know you got things going on. There's a registration there. Maybe that's it. Uh on top of that CD. Yeah, the one in your hand right now. You are you sure this is not changed because now I have that. So that's for your place card. That's it. The handicap parking place card. That's all that's for. The actual vehicle registration, it's in that hand behind. Okay. Okay. Yeah, I think that's safe as Okay. So, this is the right one. So, the others you can toss them. You don't need to keep them. All right. As far as the red light, I know you said it was yellow. I saw I saw red. The east west had green. There's a buffer period. It doesn't just turn red and then the other gets the green immediately. There's a buffer period of like 3 seconds. That way if someone runs the red light, you know, it's there's that buffer period just so that an accident doesn't occur. Nevertheless, I'm giving you a written warning. It's not a ticket. You don't have to do anything with it, but just please be careful. No problem. Just please be careful. Okay. All right. Take care. Okay. 69 69 [Music] Tango 31 1050 6200 sample reel. And that's why you don't speed. Florida tag. It's uh blue Honda one time traffic. Move up. Move up. Move up. Move up. And that's why boys and girls, you do not go highway speeds because people like that pull out in front of other people speeding and accidents occur. Hey, I'm officer Charnie with Coral Springs Police. 69 and a 45 is the reason for the stop. Uh, you got to slow it down. Okay. Do you have your license on you? Registration insurance. Go ahead. And then insurance and license, please. Thank you. Are you still living in Tamarak? Yes. Okay. I can't hear you. Got to speak up, man. I don't know what my insurance would look like. I have a phone call. Yeah. If you have your phone with you, you can pull your insurance up through there. Just to give you a heads up, your car is still in drive. If you'd like to put it in park, you're more than welcome to. Um, yeah, if you want to look up your policy number through your phone, that's that's fine. I'll be right back. If you find the policy, just stay seated. Okay. How do I as I don't I don't know how insurance I do. You want to call your mom, see if she can get you the card. I just want to make sure the car is insured. All right. So, he's passed us, accelerated the highway speeds. Car pulls out from one of the shopping plazas here, right into the direction of this car, which causes him to hit his brakes, which causes me to hit my brakes. Um, and this is why I say highway speeds in cities, is a recipe for disaster because accidents happen throughout the day, every single day in Broward County. And some are very serious to the point where people get seriously injured for the rest of their lives or worse, there's fatal accidents throughout the county where people get into accidents and someone's loved one is now deceased. So with that being said, we're trying to combat these types of violations through enforcement and education. So what this is part of the reason why we do these videos so that people see and they learn from these videos and hopefully we can reduce the amount of lives being affected by reckless driving, speeding, aggressive driving and we make the community more safer for everyone, not only in Coral Springs, but the entire country. Did you find it? Can you zoom in on the card on the left? And then just a little bit to the right, please. That's good. Perfect. All right. So, look, I am issuing a citation for the speed. Um, you have three ways. The three ways are on the pink mailer. It's essentially paying them. Traffic school, which is online, or traffic court. And whichever option you choose, you have 30 days. Okay. You have any questions for me or no? All right. Please be careful. It's 45. All right. Take care. Still tailgating. Tango 31 1050 6200 sample. He used his turn signal that time. Not the last time though. Still tailgating everybody. Yeah. Hi, I'm Officer Charnie with Coral Springs Police. The reason why I pulled you over was because when you were behind the when you were uh behind the car in front of you, you were following them too closely. And then there was one point where you changed lanes. You didn't have your turn signal on. All right. So, you got to I I argue with you. I thought I hit it, but yeah, you're right on their bumper. That's the thing. Every 10 miles an hour, I was looking to get over to the to the left lane. I was stuck in the middle lane. Okay. So every 10 miles an hour you're going, you want to be at least one car length behind. So if you're going 45, which you were, you want to be four and a half car lengths behind the person in front of you. That way if their tire blows out, there's time to react. All right. Do you have your license on your registration insurance? That's what it looks like. That one's expired from 2023. Um then the insurance is uh just expired, but Well, no, actually I can show it to you on the phone. Okay. Yeah, that'd be good. Why am I not finding my registration? I got this. Lots of big. Yeah. Okay, that's good. The registration's good. And then uh yeah, let me just take a look at this. Make sure it's for this car. Okay, it is. Show you the insurance. No problem. And while you work on that, I'll be right back. Okay, so this is the good registration. I'll leave that with you. I see what he is doing. He's in the middle lane. Goes to the right lane to pass the vehicle. However, everyone's going the speed limit. Everything's kind of stagnant. So, instead of just slowing down and changing lanes, he decided to follow everyone too closely, change lanes with no turn signal. Eventually, he turned his turn signal on when he changed lanes again, got into the lane he was going to. But, he's just got to be careful because he's right on these vehicles bumpers and if someone's tire were to blow out or someone were to stop suddenly, a traffic accident would have 100%, no doubt in my mind, occurred. So, this is um aggressive driving. Again, aggressive driving is just driving in a manner where you're more likely to cause an accident. Uh following cars too closely, going 15 miles an hour over the speed limit or above, running red lights, improper change of lanes, failing to obey traffic control devices, red lights, stop signs, markings on the roadways, stuff like that. And that's what we're looking for. We're looking for violators who are aggressively driving on the roadways in Coral Springs. Did you find us, sir? did some spring cleaning so I can find it easier. Were you successful? All right. Oh, no. No. I I just Oh, on your phony phone? Yeah. Okay, no problem. I don't even know if they send you papers anymore, do they? Yeah, they do. You just have to ask for it usually. Okay. So, thank you. Look, I'm giving you a citation for careless driving. Okay. You have the three options in the pink paper, which is paying it. Traffic school, which is online, or traffic court. Whichever option you choose, you have 30 days to comply. All right. Just be careful. It is aggressive careless driving. So, you're just driving in a manner where you're more likely to cause an accident. That's all. All right. Take care. [Music]
