Okay. >> Hey, you're good. >> That's interesting. >> He was transported to the county jail and booked on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including grand theft auto, [music] burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, fleeing or attempting to elude, three counts of resisting an officer with violence, and one count of resisting without violence. He appeared before the court the following day for first appearance where probable cause was found and he was determined to be indigent qualifying for a public defender. Bond was set across multiple charges including amounts of $1,000, $10,000 and $100,000 along with conditions that included in-house arrest with GPS [music] monitoring. A $50 public defender application fee was also assessed due within 7 days. The defendant remained in custody following first appearance [music] and the case was assigned to felony circuit court for further proceedings. A bond hearing was later held during which the defendant remained in custody. A motion to modify bond was filed by the defense and denied by the court. Testimony was heard from the defendant's mother as well as a representative from Excel Mentoring and council presented arguments. [music] The court ordered that the bond remain as previously set. The case was scheduled to return to court early in the new year for further review with an additional court conference set for later in January as the case continues through the judicial process.
