10 Riverside Drive 2710 Rivers driveit 20 for Al information going 65 is that 65 yeah you how you doing good you have driver's license with you just so you know you being audio video recorded okay yeah did you realize you're at 65 no I I thought it was going yeah 46 47 speedometer is a little off a little off if you're going 65 and nothing thing said if you're going 65 and that thing says 46 you might want to leave here and go right to the mechanic that's way off all this gentleman was going 65 said he's on his way to Costco didn't realize he was going that fast so there's something wrong with his speedometer he thought he was going 46 you got to slow down 20 miles over the speed limit I mean you got to at least get that speedomet take looked at okay yeah I I actually you have to tap on it to yeah but I mean you should in all honesty you should realize you're going that fast I mean you're the fastest car on the road would you give me a ticket or one I did I give you a citation okay sorry about that all right explains you how to take care of in that blue folder right there you have 30 days just to make your decision what you want to do about it you got to slow down okay all right you're all set be careful my name is Jeff PKA I'm a sergeant with corl Springs Police Department currently assigned to the Traffic Division I've been with the agency for about 28 years and uh coming up on retirement how you doing good how are you good Sergeant P Spring Police how are you 8,900 WS just to know you being audio video recorded okay do you have your driv license with you did you realize you're at 61 that's why I stop just I have a dentist appointment around the phone I'm going to call them right now dentist appointments are nothing you rush to no I know he said he's rushing to his dentist appointment I'm not sure how many people want to rush to a dentist appointment but he is one of them how you doing good I'm Sergeant P weo cor Springs police how are you just so you know you being audio and video recorded okay do you have your driver's license with you did you realize you're at 55 no no the speed limit is 40 you in a hurry to get somewhere or what side work you got to get to work where you work at not coming ACR what time it's no it's 40 she gave us all her information I'm going to run her driver's license run her tag she said basically she just didn't realize she was speeding she thought the speed limit was 45 what are we um she was at 55 mph in just 40 mph Zone put us [Music] back did I want to stop there just move up a little bit yeah we don't want him stopping on the roadway and know we prefer her stopping somewhere in a lane of traffic where we're not impeding traffic and we're not in danger bravo bravo can you just pull up and pull it off the roadway ma'am yeah that's fine at this point I'm not sure where we're [Music] going how you doing good I'm Sergeant P we with C Springs police and just so you know you're being audio video recorded okay do you have your driver's license with you yes what happened you were going 51 and a 35 you5 they just called me they just called me and told me my client need me right now my patient need me that's why I don't do that in purpose no I'm yeah no no I see you got that big thing saying I'm a healthcare hero right in front of me and and I and I appreciate the the work you do too yeah can I see your driver's license sure I appreciate the work you you guys do well thank you so much because I live here for 13 years really yeah well you can't be going you can't be going 16 over the speed limit though okay I don't even know if I'm doing because they just call me and tell me my client need me yeah that's why I'm washing to go okay the things I appreciate most when we're doing traffic stops or when officers are conducting traffic stops is when people pull over in a safe location a lot of times that people will roll their windows down so when we walk up to the car we can clearly have a um a clear view of of what's going on inside the car um you know I appreciate them having their documents ready for me you know when I um you know when I when I walk up to the car and just being polite you know I'll introduce myself I usually start off by saying hello you know I appreciate them being um polite back you know they have their documents ready for me I'll usually ask them why they're speeding or why you know the reason if I stop them I'll I'll afford them the opportunity to expl explain to to them why why they're driving the way in the manner that they're driving which caused me to stop them and then I just kind of evaluate what they say I'll come back to the car run their driver's license I'll evaluate their attitude and um see how many contacts we've had with them if they've been stopped before and then I'll make my decision whether I'm going to give him a written warning a verbal warning or an actual citation
