On October 5th, 2025, officers were called to a downtown restaurant after security reported a man refusing to leave. Staff said the man had been getting a little too handsy with female patrons and was asked to leave the business. Instead of leaving, he lingered around and then claimed he had a missing bag. We'll set >> Yeah. >> set ground rules with the backpacks and guys and satchels and stuff like that moving forward. >> Yeah. >> I said, "But >> He came >> in and asked me to put it behind the bar and I told him no because any at that point anything you put that's in that backpack belongs to me. >> Or the or the business. >> Yeah. >> And I'm not putting that behind the bar for >> Yeah. He's saying that he put the book bag down for 1 second and we just put >> Yeah. >> And >> watch it later but I can't do that right now. >> It it just doesn't work like that. >> Yeah. No. He hid that book bag somewhere in the building in my opinion. It's what I think. I had security check around a little bit. To Big Hard Ones there's a lot of people there as well. Um We looked to find out. I checked all the bathrooms. I checked like even our closet. I checked our storage you know uh chests. Stuff like that that we have placed around the building. >> Mhm. >> Um I asked I went to the back bar asked hey you didn't put a backpack behind the bar correct? No. No. No. Nobody's got a backpack. I looked under some tables and you know stuff like that. Um and then like one of the security guards told me he needed to leave. He was kind of like trying to prolong that situation. And the security guard kind of thought for a moment he was going to have to physically remove him. And I and I told him I said, "He probably isn't trying to delay it. He's probably trying to >> Yeah. >> come up with a way to [ __ ] grab his backpack." >> Oh yeah. >> Yeah. >> wherever he put it. If he wants to tell us where it is I'll turn it over to you. Although his bond was set at just $150, he remains in jail because of a probation violation from a previous DUI case that was recently reopened.
