Help me get it going on this I don't know what else to say. Well, let's see what happens when she gets back. Hopefully, she's got your bag. Speaking with Clayton, officers tried to explain they were taking him to retrieve his luggage. Instead of calming down, he grew more paranoid, questioning if they were setting him up, mentioning leftover and insisting he had done nothing wrong. Despite his confusion, the officers stayed patient hoping he would eventually cooperate. >> What is your name? We're all good. I'm Mike. Mike? >> Mike. Yep. What's your last name? Ruiz? When asked to board the train that would take him to his bags, Clayton refused. He accused the officers of trying to trap him, demanded to be left alone, and fixated on getting a cigarette while ignoring their attempts to help. Something in his demeanor had shifted, and what happened next, no one saw coming. Did you have the suitcase? Yeah, I have a carry-on suitcase. It's like it starts with this, see? We can bring it up here due to the security issues. Um so, it will be in the baggage claim. Okay. All right, we'll take him Okay. All right, we'll take you to where it's at. I've told you to back up. >> The suspect lunged and swung at the officer's head, and in that instant, everything spiraled into chaos. As they fought, the officer's body camera was knocked to the ground, but across the street, a stranger's phone kept rolling, capturing every desperate second. The officer struggled to gain control, but when the suspect reached for his holstered weapon, the officer was left with no choice but to fire. Dude, please Again? Please stop. Please stop walking up on me. >> I'm in my god damn car. Back up. Nice. All right, come on. What's up, man? We're fighting. >> Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on with it. Come on with it. Come on with it. Come on with it. Come on with it. Come on. Sir, back up. A passerby rushed to help the officer trying to pull the man off him. Responding officers applied a tourniquet to the man's leg before he was taken to the hospital. The officer was treated for multiple injuries. The man was booked into jail the following day. Moving on to the case of a man who thought he could take on a cop with pepper spray and a knife only to get taste. Stop. Sir. Stop. Tase him. Tase him. Tase him, dude. Tase it out of him. On May 1st, 2025, Edmond police officer Caleb Hatem was finishing up a warning citation in a parking lot near East 15th Street. He had no idea that behind him, 22-year-old Ocean Hudson was closing in. Unrelated to the stop, but ready to attack without warning. And then if it'll have it. Light gray box at the bottom. >> Light gray? Yeah, just down there. Perfect. Not an admission of guilt, just stating that you show up on or before the court date, okay? I don't have to as long as it's paid for. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Without a word, Hudson sprayed the officer in the face with pepper spray, temporarily blinding him. Then came the knife. Officer Hodem was stabbed, bleeding, barely able to see, but he refused to go down. He fought back desperately, trying to keep Hudson from reaching his firearm as his body cam hit the pavement and kept recording. Stop. I got nothing left. Just do me a favor, man. Done with my life. Yes. I only ask Take the knife away from him. Sir? I only ask Drop it. Drop it. Drop it. Sir, drop it. >> could do me this favor. Sir? Sir, drop it. Drop it, sir. Sir, drop it. Please, drop it. Please, don't hurt anybody. Please. In the name of God >> Get off my radio, dispatch. Please, don't drop anybody. Don't drop it. Sir. Drop it. Sir. Drop it. Stop. Man, I got nothing to live for. 22? Yes, you do, buddy. You have everything to live for. No. Yes. I'm supposed to be in prison today. But I ain't doing that. >> There we go. There we go. There we go. There we go. Stop, dude. Help, me. I've been stabbed. I've been stabbed. You okay? He just stabbed me. What happened? Here we go. Here we go. Hold his arm. Hold his arm. Yep. Yep. Yep. Don't you move. You understand me? I got him. I got him. Get up. Get up. You need help. You need help, sir. Breathe. I got nothing left. Hurry up. Come on. Hurry up. Hurry up. Hurry up. Yep. Yep. Yep. With the knife finally out of reach, Hudson still refused to stop. He told the officer he had nothing left to live for and kept resisting. Backup arrived and used a taser to subdue him once and for all. Officer Hodum was rushed to the hospital for surgery while Hudson was taken into custody. Got him. Come on. Come on. Get on your stomach, now. Hudson was charged with assault on a police officer, possession of illegal materials, and obstructing justice. Officer Hodum underwent surgery and is recovering. Next up, we have a teenager with bipolar disorder who got physical with his brother, then punched the officer trying to bring him back safely. He got physical that last night. He got violent and he's like booked on a week for like a Okay. Um like stealing a $4 meter or something. Hey Troy, come on. You're not in trouble, man. Just talk to me for a second. What's going on, man? Just talk to me. On March 8th, 2025, a mother called police after a fight with her son, worried about his well-being. He just walked off. >> Okay. Are you Joanne? Um he was I'm Joan. Oh, Joan, I'm sorry. Okay. He was sitting in those stands right there. And then if I think he spotted my car, he would just walk. He would just got up and walked down that way. Okay. And I'm like literally in slippers and stuff and if I go out and he'll just he'll just leave. I tried to get him in the car. So what what's what's the backstory with this cuz I'm I'm not familiar with it. Um he's bipolar with psychotic features. >> Okay. He um got picked up last night for what I think was a book on release for like a Okay. Um like stealing a $4 beer or something. But when I picked him up last night, he was he was very tired. He felt like his behavior was crazy right now. And so >> Okay. Does he take any medication? Yeah, he's on medication. He strangled his 16-year-old brother last night and took off and that's why we've been doing like this is what we've been doing. And I'm trying to get him help. He needs help because he's obviously unstable. Okay. So and so then this morning I went down to his room and he left through the basement window. He saw the cameras and he knew he was going to have to tell them to jump on us. So I was able to catch him around the corner and but She told officers her son had bipolar disorder and had turned violent the night before, even attacking his younger brother. He'd been picked up earlier for a minor theft but released soon after. Now his behavior was spiraling again. Moments later, he slipped out the basement window and took off toward the sports fields. And what happened next would push officers to their limits. What um is wearing a red, white, and blue coat? Yeah, it's like color blocked, you know? I think I just saw him walk this way. Is he is he like is he have any weapons on him or anything like that? Okay, what's his name again? Okay, I'm going to go see if I can't catch up to him. 144. I think I'll be out within five field one. Right between all the fields. Hey Troy. Hey man, hey hey just talk to me, man. He's jogging away from me to the west. Hey man, you're not in trouble. Hey Troy, come on. You're not in trouble, man. Just talk to me for a second. As deputies spoke with the mom, she described exactly what her son was wearing, helping them spot him walking alone between the fields. They approached carefully, assuring him they only wanted to check on his safety, but what happened next would push the situation to the edge. He's walking north now between field four and three. Hey, come here, man. Hey. Hey, you're not in trouble. May I just talk to me for a second? Hey. Hey, just talk to me for a second. What's going on? I do want to help. I'm not I just I want to help, man. Tell me how I can help. Hey, Troy. What? Just What's going on, man? Just talk to me. 144, give me some other units. He refused to stop and kept moving away while muttering and acting agitated. An officer followed attempting to de-escalate and get him to talk. Suddenly, the man turned and struck an officer in the face. I got him detained between three and four. Good job, man. I got him detained. You can downgrade now. All right. Hop up, man. Get up. I don't want you laying on the ground. All right, you're coming with me, all right? Let's go. You got anything on you? Anything sharp? Dude just punched me in the face, so. See? >> Troy, what's going on, dude? Troy. Troy, it's nectar. What's going on, dude? I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm okay. You going to talk to me? After a short struggle, the officer managed to wrestle the suspect to the ground and place him in handcuffs between fields three and four. The suspect was then taken into custody and escorted to a patrol car as additional units secured the area. I just want you to know, my kid is bipolar. I know. I know how this is. It's It's heavily portrait. All right. Oh my god, what are we doing, Ms. Nick? How long has he been missing now this time? Well, he took off yesterday at three straight in Brody. And then he picked him up in Kirkwood. And then this morning when I went downstairs, he had looked like he was going out of this window again. Yeah. And we checked the cameras and he had about a 10-minute jump on us. So I found him walking. He wouldn't get in the car. Okay. Um and did he get like charged with some theft in Kirkwood, too, or something? Yeah, it's like caught him like trying to steal a $4 beer. He like left his wallet. He didn't take anything with him. Okay. So uh obviously he committed a crime now. So he's going to go back. He's going to get booked. And then we're going to have to apply for a charge on him. So. Yep. Um this may kick-start the mental health help, though, if you know. I like I don't know what else to do. I like I can't say anything. And they just give him some meds and then they're like, "Okay, we'll see how that works." Has he switched meds recently? No, he's on Just started meds like it's been about a month now, but the new one So I know what Sometimes it takes a takes a while to build up in the system. The suspect's mother told police everything that had been happening, how he'd missed his morning medication, and how his behavior had spiraled since starting a new one about a month ago. She explained that she'd been trying to get him proper help for weeks, but said her concerns had gone largely unanswered, hoping this incident might finally lead to more stable care. Is there meds that he needs to take daily? Yeah, he has to take them twice a day. He hasn't had anything this morning and he takes This is 300 mg of lithium in the morning and then 600 mg of lithium at night and then another one for I have not said but it's um an antipsychotic. Has he been resistant to taking those or has he been No. receptive to it? >> He's been receptive to it. Okay. All right. Hey Justin. So yeah, he's in the car. I was just telling Joan he's going with us. He He punched Officer Kracky, so um That's clean case, then. Uh Yeah. I mean, not for you. It's not I I did not punch For the camera. Sorry. He's a tiny kid right now. But yeah. So he's We're going to have to hold on to him for a warrant application, which you know, so aggravated battery. So uh Joan said she can get the meds up to us so he has them. Officers discussed bringing the mother his meds so he could take them while in custody. We're going to book him in. We got to do a warrant app for aggravated battery to a peace officer. Um but again, you know, hopefully this can be Is there every Saturday morning? Yeah, I'm like Uh yeah, Nick, I get it. Um I got to work on it. I got to go petition probate court. I got to get cuz it's not getting better. No. So unless he has some kind of bonafide medical emergency while he's in our custody, he'll be sitting until Monday. It's a Saturday right now. Yeah. We have 48 hours to hold him. Okay. The So what? Yeah. Monday. It'll be a Monday warrant. >> Did he say anything to you or anything like that? He's just He was He's just aggravated, it looks like. He's he's aggravated at the whole situation. >> have to get this knocked out today. They got one in back from last night. >> one in back, but yeah, we'll get this written up real quick. Okay. And get him a flight on today. Yep. Yep. Yeah, I'll go back and do that real quick. >> I mean, uh yeah, just text me uh any updates, so. Yeah. I'll let you know. Yeah, make sure just uh get the meds up to us so we can take them. Johnny said he's been receptive to taking them, so. What's that? I'm not so sure now. Well, I yeah, I think he left the house, so. You didn't talk to him? Uh yeah. I think so. Was it right over there? Yeah, if we if they have him, it's on Janets back. All right. Uh yeah, I'll go with you. Yeah, shoot me a text when you guys are able to bring up uh meds and stuff. I'm probably going to do it today. Okay. Police booked the man and planned to pursue a warrant application for aggravated battery on a peace officer. Officers noted the procedural hold and that, barring a medical emergency, the suspect could be held through the weekend while the application was processed. Next up, we have a man who thought he could punch his way out of a domestic call. Instead, he learned the lesson of his life. >> Can I help you? Yeah, I want to talk to your dad real quick. >> know you can't. You can get off my property. Thank you. I don't want you here. What is the reason? What is the We have one arrest right here. When officers arrived, they tried to approach the situation calmly, but the wannabe tough guy wasn't going to let the encounter be a walk in the park. >> You guys did not You're on my property. I was not called to be here, right? >> Okay, we were called here. We have the Did I call you here? We have the lawful lawful right to be here. Why? Absolutely. So, I heard loud rackets inside. We're not doing Hey, let me talk to you for a second. Step outside for a second. We're not stepping outside. You're not going to prevent me to ask him to talk. >> Yes, we will. Right away, the suspect made it clear he had no interest in cooperating. Standing in his doorway, he demanded the officers leave his property, insisting they had no right to be there. Officers explained they'd been called to check on a possible domestic issue, which legally allowed them to investigate. But, that only fueled his anger. Yes, we will. I can. I can do what I want. Hey. Hey. We're not doing anything illegal. I actually stepped on my property. You can't come on my property now. Grab the other leg. Why they attacking me? Why? I just want you to get off. I want charges pressed on every officer that put their hands on me. Thank you. Thank you. Eventually, officers managed to get him handcuffed, but his temper didn't cool down. What happened next made the situation even more chaotic. As they led him to the patrol car, his tirade continued demanding a supervisor, shouting threats about pressing charges, and calling the officers every name he could think of. His defiance only grew louder once inside the car, yelling that he'd been falsely arrested and that everyone involved would be going to jail instead. Give me the Get out. Get me the [ __ ] out of this vehicle now. I have not committed a crime. You're all going to jail.
