I mean they Yeah, 3 months ago. I'll be right back. Hey boss. Need your ID and I got to do a statement with you real quick. All right. Let me go out to my car. I'll be back in a Okay. You got a picture of your ID? In my phone. Yeah, that'll work. I got to get my my wallet. >> Yeah. Okay. You're okay with doing a sworn recorded statement? >> Yeah. Okay. So, what happened? Um noticed that cuz the employee was working for me for a couple days. Um they can start drinking it and I also noticed when I look at the camera that she put the stuff in her bag. She's putting stuff in her bag and then walking out. >> walking out but I was not paying for it. >> And we have video of this? >> Yes. Okay. We have video of that. Um and then today I noticed her I got a call I had left got a call that um she was drinking a Mystic juice but they were not paying for it. Company policy is you drink it got to pay for it first. All right. And she keep keep doing it. So apparently from her and I called her into the office. I had to write a statement on apparently she worked in several different stores. And now I'm noticing that she wrote that she did it to the other store because there was nobody there. And she took Tylenol and those things. Okay. So at one point she took items and put them in her bag and then walked out of the store. Do you know what items those were? I don't know what items they were but I know it was there was a Red Bull. There was definitely a Red Bull. Okay, I need to know what we know for sure. >> Yeah. I Red Bull and green Yeah. The rest of it in the bag. >> Yeah. The rest of it I can't tell. There's no video on it? I have video of it but I can't tell exactly what You can't see what's in there? Okay, so we don't know and there's no inventory of other stuff missing. And she put the drink in her bag without paying for it and walked out with it still closed. Not drank yet. Okay. And today she did the same thing open the drink not pay for it. >> All right. Can you get me a receipt with a a Red Bull on it and the drink that she had today? Okay. And then show me the video of the Red Bull. So is that the only thing she stole? What we can That you're aware of? That we're aware of. Okay, so it's approximately like $5 worth of merchandise. Here she said I was only here >> I'm worried about what you can tell me, not her statement. >> don't know what to say. Okay. So, the Red Bull and the Mystic are the two things we know that she stole. So, about four to five dollars possibly. Or five. Um it was five. >> Yeah. Okay. And And do you want to prosecute? Yes. And you are the manager here? I'm store I'm store manager. Store manager? Okay. This time it is now 15:10. This concludes the interview. Yeah, for us to prosecute on something, we have to know what she stole. So, the rest of the stuff in that bag, we can't prosecute on the unknown. I can't >> Cuz that could be paper towels for all we know. Like it could be a lot of trash in a bag. You see it like here. And this was yesterday. This was yesterday. You don't know time it was? No, I had it here. Um I don't really know the time. But I just do it. And where was she when you saw her take the Red Bulls? Right here. Where was the Red Bull? The Red Bull she had the Red Bull before. What do you mean? Like she pick it up before. But we can see the Red Bull. You'll see. So, you don't actually see her take the Red Bull. No, yeah. She had it in her in her hands. No, but do you see her put the Red Bull in the bag and walk out? Yeah. I mean, the Red Bull was We look at it differently. Did the Red Bull ever go out of view before she walked out? Is what I'm asking. The Red Bull went out of my view. What's that? The Red Bull went out of my view. So, she could have set it down somewhere. Or no? No, if you see this part here. Okay, that's where we're watching. Yeah, this is the part I need. All right, you work on that. I'm going to go talk to her, okay? >> Okay, no problem. Yeah. All right. Mhm. I'm going to read you your Miranda rights, okay? Oh, okay. I'm going to advise you one of you before you make any statement that you have the following constitutional rights. You have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions. You have the right present of a repres- presence and representation of a lawyer of your choice before you make any statement and during any questioning. I can make no threats or promises to induce you to make a statement. This must be of your own free will. Okay. Any statement can and will be used against you in the court of law. Do you understand those rights which I read to you? With those rights in mind, are you choosing to speak to me? Huh? With those rights in mind, are you Do you want to talk to me about what happened? Yeah. Okay. So, what exactly did you take from the store yesterday? Um well, I was in pain, so I I don't need to I had like juice. Okay, you had juice. It was a juice. Did you drink that while you were here or did you leave with the juice? No, I I drank it while I was here. I was going to pay for it after I left. I forgot. Yeah, and I forgot that was my mistake. >> Okay, and what else was there? >> um What else was there? I took a Tylenol there because I was in pain. I didn't You know, like I don't take that. So, you took Tylenol? Yeah, I took a Tylenol. Then what did you do with the rest of the Tylenol? I left it there. I leave that I leave it I just use a package from there. The lady the lady >> in a single packets? Okay. It comes in a single packet. >> Okay. >> And I Anything else? I think soda. The soda can. >> Soda? Soda can? What kind of soda? >> it was a soda can. Oh, you know, Red Bull. A Red Bull? >> Red Bull. And did you drink that here or did you take that home with you? >> I took I took a sip I drank it I drank here. You drank it here. Either way, drinking it here or not doesn't make it not a crime. No, yeah, I know. >> didn't pay. >> No, I I understand. I understand 100%. So, I would That's why I was yesterday I tried to look for the manager to tell him I would I completely forgot to do that. And if he, you know, I didn't mean it to look like I was stealing or anything. Okay. So, you're going to be charged with petty theft. They do want to prosecute, okay? They want to still go on? Yeah. And what do I do with him? You're just going to sit here for a minute. I'm going to do some paperwork and then I'm going to let you go. Most likely you're going to be trespassed from this place, too. You won't ever be able to come back. And what do I What do I do with him? Do I With him? Nothing. You're going to get You're No, you don't call him. You just You're going to go to court and that'll be it. Okay. All right, you'll be given a court date and you'll go to court and that'll be it. Don't come here again. I'm going to talk to him uh but most likely you're going to end up trespassing. Okay. >> Okay? So, just hang out. Okay. He's right. Stick with me. Um, what what time is it uh 08:30? 16 What is that number 16? >> 1636? Are you able to send this to me or do I have to record it? You don't have to record it but yeah, it might be easier for When did she take it? Where's the Red Bull at? She left it there. Do you want to trespass her here as well? Yeah. She what? She uh she's walking out to her break. She does what? She went to the back. But we don't know what's in that bag. No, she went to the back now. Yep. She is And where's the Red Bull? Couple things. She don't know what's in there. We're going to charge her for the Red Bull. Does she walk out now or where did she go? She left it there and she'll pick it up later on. How much later? Like an hour or two. So, at this point she didn't steal it. She didn't steal that one but the rest of the stuff that she put in the bag. This gone. Okay, go forward to where that Red Bull is missing. And she leaves the store. Okay. Got it. All right, thank you. I'll see you about 3:00. Yep. Oh, hi. >> Hi. Hello. You want to step out and take the handcuffs off or you want us me to take them off in here? You can take them off. Huh? You can take them off right here. Okay, you got to turn then. Um I just need you to sign this paperwork then you'll be free to go, okay? Mhm. Until you sign it, you can't go anywhere. You can come out. You're signing on my hood. Okay. I'm faster than you. I can catch you. I would have ran, but not like that. All right. All right, I need you to sign your name. Mhm. See where it says right here, signature defendant? Mhm. You're signing, you're being charged with petty theft under $100. Mhm. Gun Club Road? Okay? And it says what date? May 13th. All right, so now I know you know it. It's on body cam, okay? Mhm. Like that, yeah, that's a signature. Same thing, signature, signature. And then if you stop stealing stuff, you'll have to stop signing so much. Yeah. Well, I didn't I didn't mean to. Oh, yeah, you either stole it or you don't. You stole it yesterday. You came into work, you stood and paid for it. Well, I I was trying to talk to him, but I >> You had all day. I've been here already once. He wasn't here. >> He was here. I was here. I saw him outside. I talked to him earlier. I know he was here. You can't lie to me. I was here today. I came up by 1:00. But see, I see him. He just he was doing his thing. So, he wasn't really the office like how I thought he would be, but Okay. Yeah. >> That was your copy. You don't have to sign it. That's just a copy you're getting to remind you of your date. Oh, okay. Okay? Yeah. And then I got to take a picture of you before you leave, too. I know it's like it's on my head like a picture. You come over here out of the way. I'm sorry, the sun is in my face. That's good. Just has to be a picture for our records. >> [clears throat] >> All right, you got your copy. You're good to go. I don't know what it is. >> to an automated I was bothering people, so I'll call her back. >> [laughter] >> Your call has been forwarded to an All right, one more time. Yeah, if she don't answer, it's okay. I Can you get a Uber or take the bus or anything? Well, one thing I was trying to ask when I was in a talk to him about that. He had to fix my daily pay where we get paid daily, like if we work a shift every day, like like the next day you get money in the account and stuff. That's another reason why I wanted him to fix for me, so I could use the money then. Okay. Yeah, you want to wait over there. Mhm. I'll come back around maybe I'll try to come back around in like an hour. If you're still over there, I'll call her again. Okay. Thank you. All right? Yeah. All right, sign out over there. Although she was issued a notice to appear instead of being taken into custody, the case continued through the court system over the next few months. She first appeared in October 2025, entered a not guilty plea, and was assigned a public defender. The case was reset multiple times as it moved through hearings and plea conferences. In January 2026, she ultimately changed her plea to guilty. The judge withheld adjudication, so it did not result in a formal conviction, but But case still carried consequences. She was ordered to pay fines, court costs, and restitution totaling over $450 and was placed on a payment plan, which records show was later paid off. So, even though the incident involved just a few dollars, it still led to a months-long court process and financial penalties. If you haven't seen the other video we did on her yet, it's linked below and on the end screen. Go check it out. Thanks for watching.
